Living in Dallas, Texas at 13 while the world was "normal" was a blast as far as Johnny remembered. It was just he and his dad who owned an automotive parts shop. His father put him on the path for a technical career. It was all to add to Simms Auto and expand the beginnings of a large family business. All his father had left after his mother passed was his son, his job, and the bottle. The first two were what he focused on most, while the latter helped him cope with being a single parent father with a small business with the potential to expand.

It all meant nothing when 2030 came along. At first, things went swell. A lot of vehicles coming in to get worked on from the damages, but as the months went on, the business had to close. Hell, the whole country had to shut down. If old man Simms was anything, he was resourceful. He links up with a US Army National Guard unit and helped them to maintain their vehicles and other equipment that Johnny had a bit of a knack for. He enjoyed the military folk, even after old man Simms sold them out to a profitable group of raiders a year and a half later. Sad day that was, but old man Simms kept things afloat. When the Order showed up in Dallas, old man Simms took a visit and returned with a disheartened look on him.

"FUCKIN' COMMIES!" He screamed as he threw his cap down. He hates the Order more than anything. Told Johnny to never join the bunch while he had the choice. Business, sure. Anything further was a hard no. Old man Simms eventually passed. Too much cholesterol and not enough exercise is what got him so young, or perhaps it was that would he never got treated, or rabies, or maybe that old meat he ate the day prior… Johnny told most what he believed got his old pops… "He was just done with it all. This stopped being his Dallas in 2020. He was just cruising along, to be honest."

Johnny or perhaps Smith now runs a shop on an old national guard camp just a few miles south of the Order's precious gem of a city. He sells "pristine" old-world items as well as some "exclusive shit" that he makes from scavenged parts and equipment. The shop is simply called Simm's

Nick was born in 2024, and lived the first 6 years of her life
in relative happiness. Her parents had had Nick young and never
had much, but they made do. Then the world went down the sewer
and took Nick’s happy childhood right along with it. Her parents,
already struggling to stay above the poverty line, joined a gang
to stay alive. Drugs and violence became a natural occurrence
in Nick’s life. Her parents tried to protect her from the worst
of it at first, but their humanity was slowly chipped away.
Nick’s only lifeline was her baby sister Andrea, born in 2032.
Nick was tasked with raising her when her parents were away, which
grew to be basically always. Nick’s parents worked hard and rose
in rank, which unfortunately meant that when their gang was busted,
they were important enough to be publicly executed. Nick was 11 and
her little sister was only 3 when they were forced to watch their
parents hang. Friends of her parents took them in after that. They
lived hidden with her parents' friends for a while, but it soon
became too high of a risk and they were kicked out and forced to
fend for themselves. After 2 years of living in the streets, Nick
and her sister were caught by the Order and drafted into the military.
Nick was 14 and her sister 6. Andrea, showing skills above the
ordinary, was selected to be trained in the Specials unit. Nick,
desperate to not be separated from her sister, did everything to
also be selected and succeeded by a hair’s breadth, only to then be
separated anyway once they were in.

The emails from Andrea became increasingly fanatic over the following
years, and Nick saw less and less of the sister she had known in
their correspondence. Did she even remember their parents? Did she
care what the Order did to them - was still doing to them? Feeling
as if she was losing her sister and growing desperate, Nick tried to
find a way to meet her and talk to her directly. After years of
planning, she finally thought she’d found a secure way to meet, and
possibly flee the Order together. Nick enacted the plan on her sister's
15th birthday, in the year 2047 when she herself was 23. She got as
far as being face to face with her sister, but to her horror, her
sister refused to flee and even allerted the Order of what Nick had
tried to do. Nick was apprehended, shot through the neck, and thrown
outside the walls, thought to be dead. Despite having finally developed
strength abilities, Nick had no value to the Order as a traitor.

Nick had all but given up on life, but as she waited for death to take
her, she was picked up by Disorder scouts and miraculously nursed back
to health. Since then, she has spent all her energy trying to find a
way to get her sister out of the Order, even if she’ll have to drag her
out kicking and screaming. Or even better; burn the Order to the ground.

Arthur was born in New Orleans, five years before the great disaster. For the first few years, Arthur had a normal childhood, living with a loving family. But then the world was changed irrevocably. The Romeros were one of the lucky families to escape New Orleans as it was engulfed in a mega-hurricane and tsunami, wiping it off the map. For the next year Arthur and his family bounced around from one disaster relief camp to another. Soon after that, the government fully collapsed, and the camps broke up. Without a central power, bandits and warlords took over the lands, making life hard for everybody. Within a span of five years Arthur lost almost his whole family to things like raids, famine, and disease.

It eventually became just Arthur and his father wandering the lands, just trying to stay alive. It was when things were at their most bleak that they heard of the Order, and the safety they offered. They quickly made their way to the wall of the Order, where they were admitted. Arthur’s father was made a farmer, while Arthur himself was tested and determined that being a soldier would be best. For the next few months, Arthur was put through basic training. His drill sergeant saw something in him and recommended him for experimentation. Given no choice in the matter, Arthur was put through the full experimental procedure.

The experiment nearly killed Arthur, leaving him sickly and weak at first. However, within a few weeks Arthur’s strength returned as his powers developed. Now with the power of enhanced speed and agility, Arthur was assigned the job of a scout. It was his job to leave the walls of the Order and look for survivors, supplies, and enemy movement. Arthur has taken greatly to this role as it allows him to travel and remain in the solitude of his own company.

Jude Miller was the child of two worker bees, a military brat who traveled during his infancy and was lucky enough to settle down in Fort Worth when he was about a year and a half old. He lived a relatively normal life for eleven straight years, he got into boxcars and comic books, shot guns and hunted with his dad and played baseball with his best friend. Then the world went to shit. Fort Worth hunkered down, made a big show of staying there for four long years until another disaster struck. Both of his parents followed a group of other survivors to the Order. He didn't hate it, at first. But after his father's health started to decline and they still made him work to the bone, he felt the bitter beginnings of resentment. He's good at hiding it, still is, even after watching both his father and his mother collapse from exhaustion and not wake up. They only lasted three years within the Order, and they gave Jude three days to grieve before he was put to work as an engineer. This position was by his fathers design, he had always seen a career of such magnitude for his son, and this was the closest to an old World job he could get too.

Jude had met a girl when he was 20, around the time his best friend had started seeing some boy, Jude couldn't even remember his name at this point. He dated Angelina for three long years, and after a pregnancy scare and deciphering it wasn't hate that made him want to twist Brian's boyfriends head off but jealousy, Jude made the jump. He broke up with her and turned his attention to his best friend. They were both 24 when they got together and have been together ever since.

While they both lived in the Order together, it all changed when Jude was selected for experimentation. A dead solider in their living room and a frantic bag packed later, Jude and his enforcer boyfriend are on the run. It's been a week and their trying to pick a place to settle.
