Eukary Cafeteria
Interacting w/ Gracie @IronPhinx

Melanie's ears perked at the sound of doors opening and closing. She looked to see a tall and pretty doe. To her surprise, the deer smiled and nodded rather than scuffing or avoiding her presence. Mel raised her paw in a shy greeting and smiled back, until the girl disappeared around a corner.

Maybe I should think smaller. Instead of jumping into a whole group of people I can get to know just one more person... and maybe she can introduce me to things and people she knows.. Melanie pondered, around for any sign of the kind doe. Mel sighed. The girl was no where to be seen.

Mel carefully dabbed her face and long hair with a napkin, taking care to catch every stray droplet of milk. She picked up her tray and returned it to the dish washing station before putting her gloves on and heading out.
Eukary University Quad, outside the cafeteria

The air was cold and crisp, but the sun was rising and it cast a warm glow over the campus. The snow from last night had stopped, and there was a blanket of glistening, fluffy snow just beginning to melt in the morning light. There was a little bat with a big cello and an owl, probably requesting a song. Melanie was considering joining them and requesting a song of her own.

Mel adjusted her snow-white winter jacket as she gazed over the landscape and was surprised to see the nice doe from earlier, building a snow-animal. Mel smiled nostalgically at the slighter, then took her phone out of her pocket and glanced at it for the time. Fifteen minutes...

After a deep, cold, breath Melanie walked a little closer to the girl, waved, smiling nervously, and then got down on her knees and started rolling a snowball.

Corrie Strickman

-En route to the cafeteria-

Corrie looked at the outstretched hand for a second, then realized it was offered as a polite social gesture. She returned it with a courteous yet firm wingshake.

"Cordeliamycinth--"

The bird hesitated. It would be proper to introduce her full name. But she didn't know which professors this new acquaintance may have, and she would rather not be immediately associated with the stern Dr. Strickman.

"...but you may call me Corrie," she finished. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

The owl considered Lennon's suggestion for a bit, weighing the new opportunity with her packed schedule. She took another few seconds of awkward silence to come up with the optimal words to say.

"I am amenable to your proposal. I was en route to the cafeteria, anyway. Let us resume in a more hospitable clime."

The owl didn't wait for an answer as she turned around and walked to the cafeteria's main door. She hardly paid any mind to a couple of students playing in the snow. Perhaps it was amusing... for some people. But it looked dreadfully cold. All that hard work would just melt within a week, anyway.

Gracie couldn't help but blush as she was building a snow-deer, perhaps others would judge her and comment on the childishness of it. Normally, she wouldn't do anything that makes her stand out but being out in the snow she couldn't help the sense of nostalgia of her childhood days playing with her brother in the snow as her parents watched and offered them hot chocolate with marshmallows. The few happy memories she had of her brother seemed to overtake her paranoia of how other mammals would look at her. Patting on the large snowball that she had built she looked up at the beautiful winter sky, the gorgeous hues of the pink sunrise that may soon melt her creation.

When looking back down, she noticed that the other student from earlier had joined her with a wave and a nervous smile. Was she as bashful as herself? Seeming as the stranger seemed innocent enough, she hesitantly returned the wave,

"H-Hey there..I don't usually see others so active in the mornings." She spoke as soft as the snow and scrambled for small talk, something she had struggled with. She scratched the back of her head with a smile and then relaxed her gloved hands on her knees. "I couldn't help myself," She chuckled looking toward the start of her creation, "I used to do it so often as a fawn, build a snow-mammal that is." She felt the need to explain her actions.

"Oh--how rude of me..My name is Gracie. 3rd Year." She bit her tongue slightly, why did she announce her year to this stranger? "Calm down, Gracie." She thought, reprimanding herself.

She extended her hand, "And your name?" She put on a warm smile toward the other, though in her mind she was still paranoid that she was acting foolish.

Zaina 'Zee' Allaires

Eukary Cafetería

After the mind numbing ride of the subway to reach Eukary University's campus did Zaina realize she missed eating breakfast. With a groan and annoyed huff she made her way across the cold grounds to the university's cafeteria. She pushed opened the doors with a bit of unnecessary force before making her way through the line stacking her plate with a large portion of what was scrambled eggs, and meat substituted bacon and sausage. While she particularly didn't care for the bland meat substituted made food, it wasn't the worst thing she had ever eaten and it would at least fill her for the morning. Zaina found an isolated corner of the cafeteria and ate in peace only having to eye down one lower class-men who scuttled to another area of the cafeteria after she glared them down making her chuckle afterwards.

Zaina ate in relative peace, those who she might sit with her wouldn't be up for another hour and by then she'd have to be off to her first classes of the day. In the mean time she rummaged through her bag pulling out a pair of ear buds and plugged them into her phone. Zaina shoved the plate off to the side once finishing the last bits of scraps from her plate before she cycled through her collection of music on her phone before making a choice. Soon all she heard was the loud noise of amazing guitar riffs and drum beats. A decent start for the morning before having to deal with tedium of lectures and annoying classmates. She had to remind herself that it was all worth it, that having a warm place to stay was better then freezing in the alleyways.

Roger D’Monty

The rest of the night was a blur for Roger after the cafeteria incident. The lion had shown back up and introduced himself as Vance, giving him his business card before departing. Roger spent a few more minutes outside, the cold helping calm his quickened pulse. Once he was sufficiently calm, Roger made his way to his dorm room, crashing onto his bed. For Roger it seemed that he was laying there for hours trying to sleep, but the truth was that the darkness took him quickly.

Light returned to Roger’s eyes as the annoying twang of a country song sung by a rabbit lamenting the loss of his burrow. The first thought that Roger had that morning was to switch the radio station, as he was never really into country. Glancing over at the time, Roger found that it was still early, and remembered that he didn’t have any morning classes today luckily. Roger rolled out of bed, realizing that he was still wearing the same clothes he put on yesterday. Figuring that he should clean himself up, Roger grabbed a towel and made his way to his dorm’s showers.

Despite most capybaras loving being in the water, Roger didn’t like getting wet. Between that and having a communal showers, Roger tried to minimize his time in there. Once he decided he was clean, Roger quickly dried off and went back to his room, clad only in a large towel. Once more in his room, Roger changed into a pair of blue jeans, grey sneakers, and a long sleeved shirt with a zombie on it covered with a red winter coat. As Roger put his glasses on, Roger saw Vance’s card on his nightstand. Picking it up, Roger wondered if he should message him. But Roger decided against it, as he didn’t want to seem like a creep. While Roger wanted to make friends at school, he also wanted to be smart about it.

Putting the card into his wallet, Roger left his room and started toward the cafeteria to get breakfast. After walking for about thirty seconds Roger remembered what he and Vance had done last night. Recalling the look on the buffalo’s face after getting splatted with food, Roger figured that he probably shouldn’t show his face around the cafeteria for a while, so that people would forget about what happened. Instead, Roger exited his dorm before crossing the street and walking into Dingo Donuts, a coffee shop. While positioned close to the university, most students still avoided Dingo Donuts as the food had less variety and was generally poorer in quality to the school cafeteria. But Roger was desperate to get breakfast as he approached the counter, ordering a coffee and a fruit filled donut. Once getting his order, Roger sat at a booth in the corner, before checking his phone and seeing that he still had quite a while before class started.

Melanie Rose Pourri
Outside the Cafeteria
Interacting w/ Gracie @IronPhinx

A soft voice, so soft it could hardly be heard came from a distance. Melanie looked up to see the doe's mouth was moving, so she smiled and rolled her snowball closer to hear better. The girl seemed a bit self-conscious about building a snow animal.

Mel shook her head, smiling reassuringly. The doe seemed even more shy than herself. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. You know, hadn't realized how much I missed playing in the snow until I saw you. And look-- we're not alone anymore!"

Indeed, Gracie and Melanie had inspired others to enjoy the snow themselves. Two penguins were making snow angels, a white bunny was rolling a snowball, and a bear was building a fort. Mel watched them laugh and smile as they enjoyed themselves.

After a short time Gracie smiled, introduced herself, and offered her hand. Melanie hesitated at first, looking up at the hand in front of her almost in shock. Most people wouldn't look at a skunk, let alone touch one! But the moment passed and Mel got to her feet and shook the doe's hand with a gentle but enthusiastic shake. "M-Melanie... Or you can call me Mel... I'm a 1st year student," she answered, with a nod and shy smile before letting go. Mel's hand seemed to keep shaking on its own even after she let go, from sheer nervousness. She tucked her hands in her pockets to hide the fact.

Feeling awkward, Mel glanced at her phone that was tucked finger pocket, never one for small talk. Her eyes widened. "Oh! I better get to class... It was really nice meeting you, um, Gracie. See you around campus, I hope?" Mel rushed. She turned and started walking away, waving as she went. She picked up speed, running toward class and leaving behind the doe and a tiny, 1 ft tall pebble-eyed grass-striped snow skunk.
History Building, Classical Mythology class with Mr. Rodney Bulman, 7:00AM.

"I made it!" Mel quietly exclaimed with relief as she entered the classroom. She walked as quietly and quickly as she could, finding a seat as close to the front as she could (skunks have poor hearing and eyesight) and pulled her glasses out of her backpack and put them on, blinking twice as she adjusted. She then took out her notebook and pencil and started to read through her notes.

About a minute later, Professor Rodney Bulman and his assistant Bobbie Lenox entered the room. Melanie smiled. She always thought it was kind of funny that a real life minotaur actually taught classical Mythology. But he was a great teacher that made his lessons fun. Plus, it was one of the few history courses that tied nicely into her art major. With any luck, the class would go by quickly again...

History Building, Classical Mythology class with Mr. Rodney Bulman, 8:45AM.
Lights flashed on in rows, causing Melanie to blink sleepily and rub her eyes. Much of today's class was spent viewing artwork of strange and wonderful creatures on the projector screen and no homework was assigned. Bulman was always nice like that--he knew a lot of students would be busy with extracurriculars in preparation for the Winter Carnival.

Now that Classical Mythology was over, Mel found herself looking at her notebook which was littered with doodles of dragons and unicorns. She sighed dreamily, adding a gryphon to the collection, wishing life was as magical and adventurous as the tales she was learning about.

Mathematics Building, Logic and Reasoning with Ms. Sophelia Savage, 9:00AM.

Melanie walked slowly to her next class, watching all kinds of different animals enjoy the snow. With the weather getting warmer and the sun still rising, even more animals were waking up and taking advantage of the beautiful winter day. Some were even sledding on the rolling hills around campus. She found herself looking for the kind doe Gracie, and mentally smacked herself for running away like she did.

Mel made it to class with five minutes to spare. She found her usual spot near the front. Professor Sophelia Savage was already there. She was a sweet bunny-human hybrid woman, that was beloved by all students, but especially young males. Who could blame them, though. She was smart, kind, and she had luxurious shiny fur and breasts. Mel down and sighed, slumping into her seat.

"Good morning, class!" Ms Savage greeted everybody enthusiastically with a hop in her step and a jiggle in her chest as she approached. "Ready to test those big brains of yours?"

Her morning always seems to go the same, she heads to the cafeteria where her usual spot is at one of the tables in the middle of the room and she sits with the girls on the basketball team since the track team members dont really hangout together too much outside the field. She excited that the girls on the team are excited about a little afternoon snowball fight before they have to head off to practice, having already seen others playing in the snow this morning and enjoyed the sight of a snow doe and a snow skunk. After breakfast she heads off towards her Trig class that is two hours long, which she dreads every day she has to get up to go to it but lucky for her it's only twice a week. She always sits along the back of the classroom because she doesn't want her height to be blocking anyone else, pulling out her book and notebook she sets them out in front of her so she can be ready to take notes. Before she knows it the bell is ringing signaling that class is over, yawning she rubs at her eyes looking around the room as other pack up their books starting to head out the room. Smoothing back her fur she glances down at her notes not even sure if she remembers anything from todays class but carefully tucks everything away into her duffel bag before heading out the classroom, her next class isn't until the afternoon so she starts thinking that maybe she should go hangout in the quad for a while.

Deciding her next move is easy as she makes her way back outside again, a few other wolves stop her as they ask if she will like to go to the Winter Carnival with them but she politely declines but with an internal groan 'Yea like I'd ever want to go with someone just trying use me to get in good with me father'. She doesn't get along with most of the male wolves around the campus even less with just the hand few of the white wolves that attend the University like her. Pausing on her way out the door taking a few steps back so she not in the way as she reads the flyer about the Carnival, a big smile forming on her face though she holds up her paw to hide her fangs since some of the herbivore students still get scared at the sight of her or other carnivores. Dropping her hand as she heads outside wondering if she should find someone to go with or if she should just go alone, one of the girls on the team said there's talk that she might be crowded the Winter Queen which if she honest with herself does sound pretty awesome to win.

She careful this time as she smiles avoiding having her fangs show, stepping off into the snow she leans down scooping some up and making a snowball though there only a few others walking outside right now. She just tosses the snowball back and forth between her hands as she moves towards the middle of the quad where she can set her bag down but still be able to play in the snow if she wants too. Brushing off snow on from a bench before setting her bag down and finally tossing the snowball but makes sure there no one in front of her when she does.

Zaina 'Zee' Allaires

Eukary Quad

Zaina pushed opened the doors of one of the many campus buildings. So far having managed to survive the first round of classes for the day. She was glad it was the last semester she needed to deal with any form of math based classes. The grueling near two hour long lecture nearly had put her back to sleep, luckily she sat as far in the back as possible to avoid being noticed or call upon. She contemplated on what she would do now, there was about an hour and a half break for her before the next class she had to go to would start. For the time she wandered out into the quad. With other classes finishing around the same time, there were a few others walking and hanging around the quad. None that she would particularly be around.

"Aha! There's big queen Zee. Told ya I'd find her Alya," a voice from behind Zaina called out. She turned around with a grin full of teeth on her face seeing a short cheetah followed by a painted dog walk to her. Zaina didn't make many friends throughout her early years of life. The few she did have she had lost contact years ago. Leaving the short cheetah, Natasha, and painted dog ,Alya, as her only real friends. She had met the two by chance while working at the Wolf Pack, learning they went to the same University. Most their classes did not align so they rare hung around together during the day.

"Not like she's hard to find," Alya responded back to the rather zealous cheetah. Zaina greeted both with a fist bump.

"Yeah if you confused me with another hyena I'd be hurt," Zaina teased,"It would mean I'd have to challenge someone to show who remains the queen hyena around here."

The three bantered for a while before the two friends had to quickly make it to whatever courses they had living Zaina back to waiting about the quad.

It was that time. The clock radio roared to life, blaring that classic What Does The Human Say song. Vance's first set of eyelids opened, but his second set was stubborn. Eventually those, too, retracted and his pupils quickly began adjusting to the light coming in from the window. He reluctantly rolled over and sat up upon the edge of his mattress, slowly realizing that he had crashed out fully clothed and just felt gross. Nothing a shower couldn't fix, though. He started stripping down and preparing his toiletries before making his way to hot water paradise.

* * * * *

"I'm going to get some chow," Vance answered into his phone to the caller's question. He felt much better having been fully cleansed and now adorned in a fresh pair of black jeans and a red t-shirt under his faithful leather jacket.

"Chow can wait," came the gruff, electronic voice of Butch out of the phone's speaker. "The Boss wants you to check out this bar. The Wolf Pack. The owner there is operating 'rent free', if you know what I mean. You need to go convince him that he should invest in 'insurance'."

"Butch," Vance shot back as he power walked across the quad, the Cafeteria nearly in sight. "I can't do that right now-"

"The hell do you mean you can't do that?! The Boss said-"

"Butch! Surely my dad intended for me to do this after school. At night. When bars are open!" Vance made no effort to hide the frustration in his voice. After a moment of silence, it was clear that logic finally found its way into Butch's mind.

"Just get it done," he said, conceding. "Report back when you're through." Vance didn't even bother with pleasantries or polite dismissals. He just ended the call with a press of his thumb before shoving it into his jacket pocket and shaking his head. How Butch got to be his father's #2, as dull as he is, Vance could hardly fathom.

When the young lion finally crossed the threshold of the cafeteria, he moved like a starved animal with blinders on, not distracting himself with anything around him. His eyes were simply locked on the meal to come. Vance filled a plate and quickly emptied it into his mouth, not even bothering to take a seat. He discarded his used breakfast wares and went back out into the quad. Once there, he stopped and took in a deep breath, letting it out very slowly.

He had been tasked with picking up collections plenty of times, but those agreements were already established. Shops and businesses would pay for a little extra protection against predators, ruffians and degenerates. Vance convinced himself that he was helping provide a service. However, he had never been tasked with initiating the shakedown and he had certainly never been to this Wolf Pack bar. Walking in to a den of drunken wolves and demanding tribute was going to be... an experience.

He rubbed his face with his hands as if his anxiety was actually sludge that he could simply wipe off his brow. If only it were that easy. With some food in his belly and an itinerary in motion, the black lion snapped to and rejoined the present. He looked around. As it happened, he could see a wolf just now near a bench. Perhaps this was an opportunity to get some intel ahead of tonight's mission. Maybe this wolven woman had been to The Wolf Pack. Perhaps he could extract some insight as to what and whom he'd be dealing with. As any predator would, Vance zoned in on the creature who stood alone, away from the crowd.

"I don't know what it is," he called out as he approached her. "I've tried everything," he continued to explain as he got closer to the lovely lupine by the bench, "but there is just something wrong with my eyes..." He abruptly stopped beside her and let his lips rear back into a toothy, cheesy grin. "...I just can't take them off of you." He extended a dark hand freckled with snowflakes. "I'm Vance and, besides gorgeous, you would be...?"

[Science building]

After spending some time indulging in her nostalgia with the snow and perhaps making a new acquaintance named Mel, the doe found her way abandoning her childish activity as she heard a soft melody beeping on her phone. Digging her phone out of her beige peacoat pocket, her phone had a pixelated picture of her favorite soccer player, Bark Noble and the words: [Aquatic Anatomy & Physiology]. Switching her alarm and replacing the device in her pocket, she stood up straight and headed dutifully to class. Although this was one of the harder subjects of the day, she couldn't help but find a keen interest considering she had rarely seen any Aquatic members in the University. Having aced her previous Anatomy & Physiology of the Mammalia and Reptilia classes and--barely scraping a B in the Aves class, she was learning more with the mysterious Aquatic. From the Agnatha to Osteichthyes, it was hard for her to maintain all the new information.

Keeping herself as close to the edge of the science building as possible, her ears were perked and her eyes were straight. Her ears couldn't help but move toward the conversations of other animals around her, it was a habit.

"An F, that professors a real fu-"

"So we were at the Wolf Pack last night, you'll never guess-"

"And he told me that my behind look like a hippo's, why was he surprised when I threw my wine at him? I-"

"Gracie!"

The doe halted in her tracks, she had no time for chit-chat, her class was merely feet away from her. She looked down to her obstacle. "Oh, hi Yarely." She smiled kindly toward the vienna blue rabbit who was sporting the University's soccer jersey. "You're playing tonight right? I'm sorry-I don't know if I can make it this time. I have to cram so much studying and with that on top of my track team.."

"No worries! I just wanted to say hey, you've been really aloof and hard to reach..well more than usual that is, everything okay?"

"Yes, as I said I'm just busy." Gracie eyed the classroom, trying to give her friend a hint. "I promise after exams I'll be more available and watch you play again. You know I can't miss it for the world. A small rabbit like you being able to be a goal keeper? It's incredible to watch."

"You going to watch West Hog this weekend? I don't mind joining you, but our usual spot has been taken over..Let's think of a new place to watch!" Yarely grinned, knowing that bringing up Gracie's favorite soccer team will force her to socialize.

"Of course! Let's brainstorm and text each other," She looked at her phone, "Ah! Sorry Yarely-gotta run!!" The deer quickly ran toward her class, almost knocking over a small mongoose, "Sorry!!"

--------------

[Library Kiosk]

After a grueling lecture the doe let out a yawn before heading over to the Library, the kiosk where she worked was there. They sold homemade bakery goods and coffee as well as sandwiches for all diets. Clocking in she greeted her co-worker, "Good morning, Bea!" She smiled, "Let's feed some hungry animals!" The peacock glanced at her and nodded, as was routine.

She quickly walked to the back away from the register, happy with how she left her station, clean and organized. Taking out a variety of colorful vegetables from the walk-in fridge and taking out a sharpened knife, she started to prep for the busy afternoon with a smile on her face. Cooking was very soothing for her as feeding others was the way she knew how to make others happy. Seeing others from the corner of her station, almost hidden away, and observing their smiles as they ate her croissants, fresh hot cross-buns, salads, and sandwiches overfilled her with joy.

Squatting down as she works on making more snowballs while glancing around the Quad as she watches other students coming out the buildings from whatever class they had just spent a few hours in either heading off to get food, or back to their dorms to catch more sleep but a good bit of students find their own spot around the Quad to play in the snow and she notes a few more have added their own snow animal next to the Doe and Skunk. A soft smile on her lips she stands up holding one of the snowballs she made and just tossing them into the air aiming for a spot on the other side of the sidewalk almost like she shooting a basket. She tosses a few more snowballs before a voice breaks the silence around her, though at first she doesn't pay too much attention since normally when a guy approaches her they tend to be more uptight.

Turning slightly at the mention of there must be something wrong with his eyes, she finds herself laughing as she drops the snowball she had been holding and wiping her hands on her pants blinking in surprise that he just grins without worrying about his fangs showing. Her eyes drop to his offered paw laughing at him calling her gorgeous as she takes his paw into hers

"Lobelia, I must say its a first to have a lion call me gorgeous"

She studies his face for a second noting that he has at least three inches on her though it doesn't bother her since most of her own species is taller then her, dropping his paw she tucks her paws into her jersey jacket offering a small smile towards him. Glancing over his outfit noting that he also the first lion she hasn't seen wearing a suit, even most of the young lions that attend this University wear dress slacks and a button up shirt.

"I haven't seen you around campus before, been at the university long?"

"A little longer than I'd like," Vance offered with a crooked grin. "The university and I have a sort of love/hate relationship, but I can't argue with the fact that it has its perks," he said with a quick squint of the eyes.

"Lobelia, huh? Well maybe you can help me, Lobelia," Vance pondered aloud as he slowly cocked his head to the side. "My nights have just been missing something, and I like to try new things." He let a beat pass before adding "...The Wolf Pack. The bar I can't stop hearing about. Ever been?" His brow raised playfully as he posed the question.

Melanie Rose Pourri
Mathematics Building, Logic and Reasoning with Ms. Sophelia Savage, 9:15AM.

After a quick pop quiz and a few minutes into class, Melanie had started doodling in her notebook. This was not unusual--she doodled as a way to stay alert, especially during classes that were not very interesting or where the teachers had terribly monotone voices. She had this habit since elementary school and her teachers allowed it because she always worked hard, listened, and got good marks because of or at least in spite of it.

In classical mythology, she drew because she was inspired by her lessons, but in this case it was because she bored by it. History, science, math, and language studies were all dreadfully boring. Mel much preferred arts, literature, culture, and animal studies but as a 1st-year student she had to get her general education credits out of the way. "Logic and Reasoning" seemed like the easiest mathematics class Eukary offered, so that was the one she chose.

While taking some notes on different types of fallacies, Mel happened to elbow her eraser onto the floor. It boused 1-2-3 times until it landed under her neighbor's desk and out of reach. She reached her paw out futilely, drawing a glaring eye from a smaller but still fearsome looking lizard-girl, who flicked her tongue and stared, unwavering. A bead of sweat formed on Melanie's forehead.

"Hi, umm... would you mind getting that eraser for me?" Mel asked weakly. The girl blinked once. "...please? she pleaded, making her eyes look big and pitiful. The girl jut her bottom jaw out and blew, causing her wig? or hair? to waft out of eyes. "Sure. Yeah. Whatever," she replied. Mel momentarily smiled and her ears perked and eyes lit up. But then the girl purposely and quite forcefully kicked the eraser, causing it bounce and roll down the next level all the way to the professor's podium. The lizard girl looked back at Mel, smiling mockingly, and flicked her tongue again. "Whoops."

"Oh, um, It's okay..." Mel mumbled, looking down at her notes. This would be a long class.

Chuckling at his love/hate comment she wonders what classes he takes to have that view or maybe he doesn't like the Professors telling him what to do. She tilts her head slightly at him asking if she could help him growing curious though she chuckles as he mentions his night missing something and wanting to try new things

"Do explain"

The laughter can be heard on her voice as she waits for him to finish this thought, shaking her head at the mention of 'Wolf Pack' and shrugs pretending to be annoyed by the question. She goes to the place occasionally with some of her friends but its not somewhere she cares to go to all the time since other wolves go there too which means word will make its way to her father and she doesn't want to deal with him talking about how she needs to find a suitable boyfriend or rub elbows with someone's daughter or son.

"So you assume since I'm a wolf I would go to this club?"

Grinning after a minute she pulls out her phone and slides through her pictures until she comes upon the ones she took at the club, where you can see the outside of the building and the inside behind a smiling fox, lynx and her. Leaning closer towards him so he can take a look for himself

"Its a fun place, music always great, if someone causes problems they are dealt with quickly, and the food pretty good too... My friends usually drag me along for the ladies drink free night. Popular hangout for most the students here, I'm surprised you haven't gone there yet yourself"

Zaina 'Zee' Allaires

Eukary Quad
Mentions of @RedXIII, @BizarreLolli

Zaina continued to hang outside in the quad while waiting for the time to go by, going through her phone and not paying much attention to the other students around. While walking by a pair of students she couldn't help by hear them talking about her place of work, The Wolf Pack. It wasn't odd of course to hear students talk about their night life at times, hardly was it worthy of listening too but whenever it was about The Wolf Pack it got her curious. Zaina briefly looked from her phone to see the people that matched the voices she overheard. One was a seemingly average athletic looking black lion, someone that she never remembered seeing around or at least never had payed attention too before. The other a white wolfess, fur nearly matching the snow on the ground in color. The wolfess seemed familiar, perhaps someone she had let into the club before, since she couldn't think of any white wolves in her courses. The Wolf Pack was a decently known place and she'd seen her fair share of students walk by her while watching the doors of the club.

As the name of the club stated, The Wolf Pack had begun more of a place where wolves mingled, though her boss had never intended for it to be an exclusive wolf hangout. He had simply chosen the name since he was a wolf and was a better title for the club then trying to fit his own mouthful of a name on the front.

Walking by the two, Zaina made a note to keep her eyes out for the two next time she was working the door. For the time her curiosity was satiated. While the wolfess she didn't think would stir trouble, the lion on the other hand she had a gut feeling she would have to watch him if he did ever show up at the club.

Roger D’Monty

Roger sat by himself alone in the corner of the coffee shop, eating a slightly stale doughnut. He thought that perhaps the shoddy quality of the food explained why there was barely anyone in the restaurant, even with it being the breakfast rush. But the quiet was a nice change of pace after the food fight last night, as Roger really didn’t want hot coffee chucked at him.

Roger downed the last of his cup of coffee, before getting up from his table and throwing out the cup. As Roger left Dingo Donuts, he checked his phone, seeing that he still had enough time to get to his first class of the day. Roger started to cross through the field in front of the campus, only to decide against once the deep snow began to fill the sneakers he was wearing. Doubling back, Roger stepped onto the pathway that the school maintenance workers had shovelled out around the campus. Although it would add a few minutes to his walk, Roger decided that it was for the best as he shook his feet to dislodge the snow from his shoes.

Within several minutes, Roger stood outside the building where his Introduction to English Literature was being held. While initially wary of taking this compulsory class as he came to Eukary for cinema studies and not literature, he had come to find this class fascinating. It had quickly become apparent to Roger that learning about story structure and themes would help him understand film making.

As Roger entered the building he thoroughly rubbed his shoes on the mat at the entrance, before heading to class. As Roger opened the door to his literature class, he saw that the seating was half full, with the students who always came early being there. Roger found a seat in about the middle of the class, taking out his laptop and placing it in front of him. Roger then patiently waited for Professor Valiant to arrive. Valiant was an older goat gentleman who apparently had been teaching Introduction to English Literature for decades here at Eukary, and was very good at it.

Roger did believe that how good his professor was at his job did impact how he was enjoying this class. As Roger went over the merits of Valiant, the professor entered the room. Placing several books on the desk at the front of the room. Valiant didn’t say anything for a few minutes as several more students entered the class. Right as the hand of the clock struck twelve, Professor Valiant began to speak.

“So who here is familiar with the works of Jules Verne?”

Percival
Location: Library entrance
Mentions: None
Interactions: Open

Perci slipped on a pair of bright pink headphones, adjusting them so the long fur on his equally long ears wouldn’t get in the way. Aside from the studded choker on his neck, Perci was dressed rather casually. Usually, he put immense care into his outfit, but today was not one of those days. Instead, today was one of those days where he’d go to bed at 9 pm and maybe eat one pack of instant ramen and a fruit bar. Basically, the goat was wearing sweatpants and a cropped hoodie. However, the hoodie still covered his midriff due to how oversized it was. These were the same clothes he slept in the night before.

Perci didn’t feel like the epitome of self-care at the moment, but he was glad he at least combed his hair and brushed his teeth. The double doors to the library slowly swung open and a tall wolf exited the building. The wolf was lithe and covered in auburn fur. His long legs made him look more like a graceful runner than a powerful predator. This particular wolf- a maned wolf, was Perci’s classmate named Marcello. He was a fellow nerd, and gentle for a predator That’s what Perci liked about him.

Perci did stiffen at the sight of Marcello. He wondered if he should say hello, but decided against it since he’d rather interact with Marcello when he wasn’t dressed in his pajamas. Perci kept his eyes glued to his phone screen, but noticed that his classmate waved at him and said something he didn’t catch through his headphones. Perci pretended he didn’t notice Marcello- his heart was pounding too fast to talk.

Marcello eventually walked off, and Perci let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding. The goat shoved his phone into his pocket after putting a playlist of shuffle. Why was he at the library again? Perci thought for a moment and then remembered- he had to return a few books that he was carrying in his bag. He entered the library, trying to change his focus to his music instead of Marcello.

[Library Cafe]

Gracie was in her zone chopping up all sorts of fresh produce; lettuce, bell peppers, onions (carefully cut on a separate cutting board and put far away from other produce to prevent Canine exposure), wheatgrass, kale, celery, carrot, spinach, and radishes. She looked at the stock requests for the fresh salads and sandwiches, she had put fresh sourdough in the oven as well as butter croissants. Gleefully humming to herself she started with the salads first, preparing winter kale salad with a dash of pumpkin seeds for herbivores. In the meantime, she had fresh tempeh curls cooking for the carnivores and omnivores to either put in salad or sandwiches.

Opening the oven came a waft of fresh baked bread, it was truly her favorite scent as it brought her back to her childhood. Setting the bread to cool she started closing the salad packages and putting a sticker of the head of a doe for the herbivore selections, and a head of a lion for the carnivore selection. She then prepped a multi-pack of seeds and walnuts nuts for the avian students and staff, closing it with a sticker of an emu. As the bread cooled, she started making the requested amount of sandwiches for all diets, and packaged them in the same way as the salads.

Such was routing for Gracie. Wake up, run, class, work, study, classes, track team meet, movie, sleep.

"All done." She nodded to herself, wiping her hands before taking a tray of her fresh food and returning to the front of the cafe to restock the shelves. There was already a line of different mammals, mostly there for the fresh tea or coffee. Bea the peacock was at the register and the baristas was Debra the Zebra and Giselle the Gazelle who were perky and attentive. After completing her short shift, the doe went to the back, hung up her apron and kept her peacoat on the rack for her to return after her studies, the rest of the staff didn't seem to mind.

Joining the line and waiting patiently, Gracie went rhythmically from her heels to her toes, bouncing along with the generic pop music in the background. When she got to Bea she reached for her wallet, "I'd like a-"
"Green tea, and you don't have to pay...You work here and get a free drink and meal, how many times do I have to say that?" Bea said, without looking up.

"I'm sorry-" Gracie put her wallet away, she never liked getting things for free, even though she did work there.

"Here you go, Gracie! You get the same drink at the same time, girl! It's, like, automatic for me now!" Debra laughed, gesturing the tea to her.

Smiling shyly, Gracie grabbed the tea. "I'll see you guys tomorrow." She bowed her head, ears bouncing, and went toward the library for her next class, Genetics..It was a class she dreaded as her professor had a very dry style of lecturing. She stopped by the study area that was in the middle of the library, all the desks and chairs were taken. She looked nervously around, hoping to find a rare free chair away from others.

Percival

As Perci walked inside the library, he was a bit surprised by how busy it was. There wasn’t a single empty spot- wild. He unzipped his bag- a messenger style themed bag, open and started going through the books. He haphazardly read the titles, trying to remember which ones he needed to return. He held about three in the crook of his arm while approaching the book drop, which was located by the librarian desk.

Perci opened the book drop and dropped the books inside, and they fell to the bottom with a muffled thunk. He then turned away before taking out his phone. Class didn’t start until another two hours for him- he was lucky this was one of his lighter days. Perci was so tired of being busy... Normally, he’d sleep in today, but he felt so restless that he took a walk to the library to return the books. Seeing all of these productive people made him feel the slightest bit upset, though.

He could sit down and work on schoolwork- after all, he had his school bag with him. Unfortunately, his laptop was in his dorm, so if he wanted to work on anything important he’d need to grab a library computer or head back. Being a digital arts student was a bitch. Perci scanned the library and its sea of working students. The goat then deduced that most, if not all of the computers were in use. Oh well, there was nowhere to sit anyway. Maybe it’d be best to just go back and sleep.

Perci zipped up his bag and fiddled on his phone for a moment. He hadn’t had breakfast yet, and the library cafe he spotted earlier was looking rather tempting. Fuck it, he thought to himself, maybe some tea won’t hurt. He made the cafe- which was at the far end of the library, his new destination. Perci didn’t put his phone down as he walked since he was currently stalking Marcello’s social media page. Marcello sent him a friend request not too long ago, but he was still debating whether or not he should accept.
