Melanie Rose Pourri
Eukary Cafeteria
Interacting w/ Gracie @IronPhinx
Melanie's ears perked at the sound of doors opening and closing. She looked to see a tall and pretty doe. To her surprise, the deer smiled and nodded rather than scuffing or avoiding her presence. Mel raised her paw in a shy greeting and smiled back, until the girl disappeared around a corner.
Maybe I should think smaller. Instead of jumping into a whole group of people I can get to know just one more person... and maybe she can introduce me to things and people she knows.. Melanie pondered, around for any sign of the kind doe. Mel sighed. The girl was no where to be seen.
Mel carefully dabbed her face and long hair with a napkin, taking care to catch every stray droplet of milk. She picked up her tray and returned it to the dish washing station before putting her gloves on and heading out.
Eukary University Quad, outside the cafeteria
The air was cold and crisp, but the sun was rising and it cast a warm glow over the campus. The snow from last night had stopped, and there was a blanket of glistening, fluffy snow just beginning to melt in the morning light. There was a little bat with a big cello and an owl, probably requesting a song. Melanie was considering joining them and requesting a song of her own.
Mel adjusted her snow-white winter jacket as she gazed over the landscape and was surprised to see the nice doe from earlier, building a snow-animal. Mel smiled nostalgically at the slighter, then took her phone out of her pocket and glanced at it for the time. Fifteen minutes...
After a deep, cold, breath Melanie walked a little closer to the girl, waved, smiling nervously, and then got down on her knees and started rolling a snowball.
