Penny

Penny took everything in, solem as she did so. Bellus was young, the thrill of a fight still something... beautiful for him. She had never enjoyed fighting- still didn't, but there were times when it was necessary. Fighting for her family... her guild.... And yes, fighting for moral. Still. She sighed softly, but it was clear that the rest of the guild was excited for it. And that was enough for her. Her gaze moved back to the mage that had so frightened Karn. "Well, we are always here to help. One of us generally is." She said, her gaze moving to Karn as the boy seemed to gain but some of his usual charm, his innocence. It was heartening to Penny, and she smiled slightly.

Karn deserved happiness- and so did Edarn. They seemed to have found a balance, a way to co-exist. Two years could change a lot, but... she still worried. "The Festival would be a great boost for the town... It would be good to display good things." She said, putting her arm back around Karn as he once more hid behind her.

As the conversation seemed to change yet again, Penny pondered whether or not she could slip away for a few moments, her gaze moving through the crowd and just as she was about to speak, a child's high pitched, excited voice echoed out, and Penny's attention was drawn, just in time, to the somewhat uncordinated toddler making her way through the guild, towards her.

"Faith!" She couldn't help but smile, as the girl totted as fast as she could towards her. She hadn't seen the girl often, but it was, evidently, enough for the girl to remember her. She let out a laugh as Faith's features scrunched up into a determined look, and Penny was prepared as she jumped up. SHe caught her with one arm, bending her knees slightly and grinned. "Pen-Pen!" The girls voice, bell like, was happy as she nested against Penny,

"Now, just where did you come from? Where's your mama?"

"She got away from me. She saw you, and that was it. She just poofed from my side" Penny turned her gaze from Faith, to Sasha and her smile grew. "Ka-Ka-kan-ie!" Faith, still clutching Penny with one hand, tilted slightly to look at Karn, her smile wide and full, reaching out as if she could touch him. Penny shifted her hold on her slightly, making sure the girl was secure.

"Sasha"

Michael

Michael shouldn't be surprised- Prince would never change, and Michael didn't mind that. He doubted Prince could ever miss an opportunity to pounce on him, and he smiled, the good cheer Prince always seemed to have was infectious. Beyond that, Michael enjoyed Prince's company. Still, he ducked his head slightly, cheeks a little warm for the attention of it all.

It was simple, however, to reach out and take Prince's paw in his own hand, giving his friend a smile. "Good Morning, Prince." He said softly, his gaze flicking over to Cailyn as she spoke. "I wouldn't say good news, but he is returning." He shifted slightly, wishing he knew more. His gaze flicked over the guild again- he'd been right, and Master Jake had already left.

Biting his lip, thoughtful, he looked back over to Prince. The Masters only seemed to meet up when things were bad- or if there were bad things to talk about. Well, whatever it was, he was sure they'd be told soon.

Jamie

Jamie glanced at the lacrima that should the guild hall, watching as someone made their way confidently towards her office- for she was sure th is woman was heading straight to her. Idly, Jamie gathered up a few sheets of paper, putting them away in one of her desk drawers as she leaned back in her chair. "Ah. Welcome, Mrs Duran. It is a pleasure to meet you. I trust you found your way through the city alright" She said, rising- running a hand through her hair as she smiled at the woman.

She took the offered hand with her free hand, giving it a shake in greeting.

Neil chuckled at her response to his first inquiry. It was most certainly true. Then again, he was never really great at getting up early or anything. He liked to take his time to get ready - a previous significant other said he took longer than most of the women they knew - and he certainly agreed with the assessment. It seemed university was the only time he truly managed to be a 'morning person' and those days were long gone. Considering he could operate entirely at his leisure currently, there was no big rush to be more timely unless he had appointments.

While she tinkered and went over what her day's agenda was, Neil poked at a little gadget he knew - or rather assumed - he wouldn't break just from idly toying with it. Some kind of thing on a spring? It certainly wasn't actually close to working - more likely a component if he had to guess. But it still distracted him from being more bothersome than she likely needed him to be while she put the finishing touches on another gadget. It was pretty much the same thing he did every time he showed up to hang out if Trinity didn't put him to work. Sometimes he would just mill about around her, working out formulas in his head or on paper; that didn't happen quite so often right at the moment. Usually those formulas were something he immediately went to his workshop to test out, stuff too dangerous to test run outside of the controlled environment. So, fiddle with her gadgets he did. "Overdue is a very mild way of putting it. If I didn't come visit, and every so often bring Markovis around, neither of you two would get any kind of socialization," he said with a laugh.

He waited patiently as she finished up the last bits to leave. That was something he didn't miss about being a shop owner. Call it spoiled, but he certainly enjoyed the fact he had employees and managers that dealt with all the day to day tasks of business stuff so he could focus on everything else in his life - inventing, guild mage, helping out Trinity and Markovis when things came up. Win win for everyone, the way he saw it. He didn't have to deal with that boring minutia while still being able to get involved when needed, and handsome compensation for the person that did enjoy doing that stuff. It wasn't something he ever wanted to take for granted after lucking into his current store manger.

"I've heard of them," Neil chuckled softly. "But no. Damian and Penny must have left before Markovis and I joined. Heard nothing but good things about them, then again, who would actually say bad shit about someone that could probably break them in half?" He laughed again before nudging her. "Looking forward to seeing them again?"

Neil looked forward as they walked, hands idly resting in his pockets. "I'm looking forward to meeting them. I heard there's supposed to be a meeting in the guildhall with a few other guild masters. So maybe we'll see other new faces. Or maybe just some old faces you recognize might be showing up from a hiatus. Day's still young enough that there are bound to be plenty of surprises." He was looking forward to it, but considering Mark was gone before he'd gotten underway with his own morning routine, it was likely the younger mage was already in the guildhall. A pile of new faces was exactly the opposite of what he was sure his roommate and friend would want - especially if those new faces went looking to interact with him. "Maybe best we don't doddle," he said with a chuckle. He flashed his inventive friend a brilliant smile."While we might enjoy company, there's a certain brooding member of our team that definitely would not appreciate a round of introductions."

Magic: Observer Magic
Location: Arriving at Dragon Fang GuildHall
Thoughts: Odd creatures, need more study
With:@Landaus Five-One@Silver Fox@MarshiestMallow

"It is more of I'm determined to find the answers than being shy that brought me here."She spoke before listening to his quirk. She tilted her head allowing her wild thoughts and questions to flow from her mind without even thinking. "Isn't that dangerous to eat? Like what is the magic is some sort of curse magic and consuming it could turn out bad or are you like those so-called slayers that can consume magic much like their own to replenish their magic reserves?"Asked Keiko curious about the subject of Prince actually eating magic. That was an amazing thought but that could be scary as well. Maybe prince can tell her more of observer if she allowed him to eat some of her magic. She allowed her eyes to follow where he called to a woman named Amy? Ammey? Keiko was bad with names and faces as she was sure she would mix up both of them tomorrow morning maybe. She then turned her attention to a blue-haired boy, especially when prince more or less pounced on the boy happily being called Mikey? maybe a name short for Michael? He has a brother? so much to learn? thought Keiko and observer tilting their heads from side to side watching the scene before both snapped back to reality turning to Caitlyn listening to her.

Keiko wasn't sure how she felt to have a sort of mother figure of this guild taking so much interest in her. then again she couldn't remember much of her own past to even know who her parents were let alone her own family. Keiko and observer stared at Caitlyn lost in pondering thoughts before shaking their heads "I know we have a way to go with learning and I felt I have heard that somewhere before."She spoke of Caitlyn speaking of needing balanced meals to grow. She then had to really think how long it has been since traveling to dragon fang "Well I think I been traveling since I was 8...I think. I don't have many memories as there are parts of my memories that are gone or missing?" she asked trying to think of the proper way to explain the past few years.

Trinity Stratos
Into Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

"Hey, I was going to take time off on my own, this time." It was true, she usually just buried herself in her work. It made her plenty of money, but it wasn't exactly healthy. She knew, but, just the same.

"Looking forward to seeing them again?"

"Yeah. Damian's a real reliable sort, and Penny's the sweetest thing." There were others in the guild she was closer to, certainly, but it was hard to dislike such prominent faces. It felt like a much older sibling, perhaps. Not that she knew what siblings were like.

"That's right, you didn't join until after the Magic Games, two years ago." Everything since then was something of a blur. She remembered going to the island, but besides that, she'd mostly devoted herself to running her shop. All by herself, too, she was a little bit proud. It wasn't an easy thing, necessarily, but once she got the hang of it, it wasn't too hard, either. "Everything usually happens all at once, so you're probably right. Come and get on, let's go save Markovis." She'd finished putting the bike together. The wheels seemed to be completely independent of the body, yet they maintained formation with it. She climbed onto the front seat and peddled up next to Neil.

With her teammate aboard, they'd make it to the guild in no time. Once they fell into a rhythm, they really started to pick up speed, and it wasn't long before the came upon the guild hall. Trinity stood on one peg and swung her other leg over (careful not to kick Niel, try not to stare too hard). She nodded him to hop off before she stepped off herself, letting the bike disintegrate into the air as she made contact with the ground. There was a commotion at the door already. She fully expected Markovis to be at the bar, so maybe they weren't bothering him too much.

With a quick glance to confirm Neil's presence, she entered the guild, stepping almost immediately into the gathering. She considered encouraging them to move inward, but that would put them closer to her teammate. "Damian, Penny," she caught sight of them past the rest of the crowd, "been a while. Hope you two had at least a little fun while you were gone. This is Neil Yoska, one of my team members, and a new member since you were here last. It's great to see you guys again, you look great."

She spied Karn next to Penny, and reached over to tug on his dress. "Karn~, gimme a hug, sweetie." He was such a darling, she couldn't help but regret the fact she couldn't even protect him from water anymore. She looked back to Penny. "My other teammate wouldn't appreciate the crowd, so I'll introduce him later. Niel, though, he helped me buy my shop, instead of renting. I even found a basement garage the landlord didn't know about, it's pretty cool."

Bullet and Zhulie Pesta

The Tribunal | Silverbranch Glade
Interacting with: Regan Hadou @CitrusArms

This stranger was rather perceptive. That, or Bullet just wasn’t very good at hiding. His shoulders slumped when he realised it was probably the latter. Standing up from his lackluster hiding spot, Bullet moved to stand beside Zhulie whilst trying to ignore the pain in his side. The last thing he wanted was this stranger to take advantage of his weakened state. Though from all accounts, she didn’t seem threatening.
We didn’t mean to sneak up on you. Just a little suspicious of visitors, is all.” He shrugged, taking note of any weapons on her person. Zhulie was much less skeptical, bounding forward to get a better look at the stranger; who had since introduced herself as Regan.

You really don’t know where you are?” Zhulie giggled, clapping her hands together with gleeful delight. “This glade is home to our guild, Wolven Pyre. Oh and these ruins are the Tribunal! See, our guild was once a Witches Coven and-” Zhulie’s history lecture was cut short by an abrupt hand clasped over her mouth. Bullet pulled her back to his side and shot a nasty glare her way.
Don’t run your mouth to strangers so easily. Just because she didn’t give off any odd vibes didn’t mean she was trustworthy. Clearing his throat, he turned back to Regan and folded his arms across his chest.
You aren’t trespassing, but there are people who inhabit these woods.” He lifted his chin to gesture towards a single lantern leading to a forest trail. “If you follow the lamps you’ll be able to make your way through the woods without hassle.” With that, he had resigned himself to the conversation being over and began to turn away from Regan. His companion had other plans in mind.

You can’t just send her on her way!” She objected, skipping back beside Regan and locking her arm in hers. “You must come visit our guild! We can replenish your supplies while you rest and eat. It’s not safe to travel without taking a break, you know?
Bullet was stopped dead in his tracks, looking over his shoulder to see Zhulie practically escorting the woman. How could she be so naïve?
Do you really think it’s a good idea to be inviting strangers to your home, kid?
My name’s Zhulie, by the way.” She had completely ignored Bullet. “Grumpy pants over there is Bullet. Don’t worry, we aren’t all sourpusses like him.” She glared at her older friend. Contrary to Bullet's standoffish nature, Wolven Pyre wasn't the kind of place that would just turn away visitors.

Belius | Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

Interacting: Brianna@Landaus Five-One Karn/Edarn@Silver Fox

Damien@Zarkun Penny@MarshiestMallow Nolan/Dalton@hatakekuro Amaya/Cecilia/Rose@BlackMaiden

Belius listened intently, well, as intently as he could as the Fantasia Festival was explained. The only take-away he got was drinking, eating, partying, and then, possible battles or fights at the end. So basically in summary, the Fantasia was just one giant party, one to his own tastes so it appeared. The idea of getting to fight not only strong members from within the guild but also possibly from others got his blood boiling. Maybe he should do some practice, learn some new tricks to unveil for a grand show, as much as he likes a hard battle, the thrill of defeating a difficult foe is the greatest rush. A trump card or two can really help him out.

"Oooh! So the Fantasia's just a huge party then?! Sounds like my kind of thing! Ya need any help you know where to find me!", he yelled over in enthusiasm.

As the crowd began to get around to doing their own thing he turned back to Brianna, who began to speak of a man known as Zachary. At first he was ready to say he wanted to get a go at him too, but as soon as he heard that he'd passed, he sobered up a little. A strange topic to suddenly bring up, but it appeared to be a source of pride for her, plus as she talked about the lightning sword he began to get some ideas... Many of his techniques relied on the properties of the elements of the sword, maybe there's more he can do with that... Well anyway,

"Heeeeh, wish I'd gotten to see that. Sounds like I could learn a thing or two about lightning from that. Ah well, at least he went out with a bang, or something right? Strong and spry to the last", he commented. He hung around and listened in on some of the people, but as soon as Brianna mentioned that the other guilds were meeting here...

"Oh right I almost forgot about that! I'd like to get a look at whoever it is, I'll bet they're pretty strong. Maybe they'll bring some of their members along too", his enthusiasm was noted. His exposure to other guilds was rather limited, mainly only whoever he's run into on jobs, or what he's heard of just maybe once or twice, but in all cases he's never really remembered. And some members he's crossed during his time as a wandering challenger.

Damian Gerard|Returning to Magnolia

The pure mad rush of joy and excitement that coursed through the room at his announcement was enough to bring a smile to the S-Class mage’s face as he watched everyone. From confusion as to what the festival was to his rank as an S-Class mage was all about. However, as Damian looked over the faces, old and new, he found his attention drifting back to the mage who kept trying to downplay his own abilities and frowned slightly. Hmmmm….hiding something for personal reasons or employment reasons…. Deciding to keep an eye on the young person, Damian takes the chance to step away just as Faith comes running up with her mother close behind to get loves from her aunt. The swordsman smiled in spite of himself before moving to the stage at the front of the guild where he could both be seen and heard better.

As he moved through the crowds, Trinity arrived and Damian smiled at her, nodding to the pair as he pauses to properly speak to them. ”Damian Gerard, Neil, a pleasure.” The Blade of Phoenix Wing gives Trinity a quick hug as he is wont to do for an old friend before slowly moving forwards again. ”Always glad to see that the family has grown, even when I’m not around to welcome everyone right away. Now, if you two wouldn’t mind staying right here, I’ve got to remake an announcement and get everyone focused for a minute.” Working his way past the rambunctious group gathered near the stage whispering to each other in excitement, the S-Class mage grabbed the microphone and spoke. ”Phoenix Wing, your attention once more please!” This seemed to have had the desired effect and Damian smiled.

”Alright, now that I have it, let me clarify some things. First, the match is not a fight to the victor, this is an exhibition match. The four of us are to put on a show and show Magnolia and the people visiting from other towns and countries that magic is back and ready to be what it was before. Turns out the good people of Magnolia have been planning this since shortly after the Grand Magic Games were brought back, and the arena they want the match to take place in, the Arena Indominus , is already almost finished. Mayor said they were running the final inspections when Penny and I got off the train. From there, I believe they had said Master Jamie and Jarvis were working on the finer points of the parade. This is monumental for this community, for this town. Fairy Tail was the town’s protectors and valued members of their community and now we get to carry on that legacy. So let’s do this loud and proud!” James and Jane both raised their hands and cheered, as did many other members of the guild and Damian smiled broadly. Gods was it good to be home.

Jack Goran|A Meeting of Masters, Old and New

Jack had been on the phone with Grane, the Magic Council’s lizardman member, since he’d boarded the train from Shirotsume to Magnolia and as he entered the Phoenix Wing Guild Hall, he was still on the phone with Grane as he headed for the stairs and hallway that would lead to Jamie’s office. ”I’ve already given Ammy the go-ahead to post the job under S-Class with A-Class support Grane, but there’s not anything else we can do until we’ve had a chance to investigate the area, see if it’s even still there.” He stopped speaking as the voice on the other line began and seemed to listen intently as he walked into Jamies office after knocking three times before he sighed.

”You’re telling me that you sent two suits of the new prototype magitech armor and you still have reason to believe they were wiped out? Hmmm….” Jack tapped his chin before sighing. ”I’ll pass that along. We’ll talk when the job has been completed.” Hanging up, Jack sighed and smiled apologetically. ”Sorry for that, ladies. The Council sent us a special request I had to ensure got handled quickly. Good to see you again, Jamie. Priscilla, Guild Master of Wolven Pyre I take it?”

Silver Wolf
Silverglade Forest Outskirts

It was early in the morning when Silver Wolf arrived in the SilverGlade, his long white hair tied back in a neat bun and held in place by a simple silver pin. As much as he appreciated the energetic nature of his guildmates and the sense of community it fostered, The Path of De Shen was one best honed in isolation. And so it was in this place so deeply connected to the sensations of the earth, just far enough from the throng of civilization that its hustle and bustle was but a gentle hum in the distance, that the young Exile began his daily training rituals.

From warm-ups to Katas, from katas to shadow fighting, and so on and so forth, the entire thing took him till the sun was raised high in the sky. The forest was filled with sounds of exertion and shifting earth, as he danced between the trees, something forth spires of obsidian stone to act as shields, structures to leap off of to reach new heights, or even weapons to surprise his imaginary foes. He also took time to meditate, letting his mind connect with the flow of life that pulsed around him in this peaceful place. The heartbeat of a squirrel, the shifting struggle of baby birds in their nests, the stalking steps of a curious mountain lion who had come to investigate the disturbance he caused, all of it could be seen as through his connection to the land.

Soon, his training would be finished and his supplies packed away for the journey back to town. However, before he could leave, he had one last task that he always sought to complete, the closing to every such ritual. Before a tree, he laid down a stick of incense and maid a prayer to De Shen. A prayer for his Father, long may he reign and prosper. A prayer for his mother, who watches over him from beyond. A prayer for his brothers, may their bonds still hold strong against any foe. And. . . a prayer for another, made with regret for what once was yet could never be. All of these he sent to De Shen, writing each down on a strip of paper, presented to the 4 cardinal directions so that they may be blessed by the winds before burying them in the earth. And as he rose up from prayer, rituals finished for the day, these words were whispered as they were every time he conducted it.

“May De Shen reach each of you in good health and fortune, and may he take the strength of my blessings with you.”

Silver Wolf
Dragon Fang Guildhall

As Silver Wolf approaches the guildhall, he couldn’t help a slight chuckle as heard the sounds of energetic discussion already. It was to be expected at this time of day, of course, but it still amused him how carefree the Mages of Fiore tended to be. Back home, such jovial talk would be saved for backrooms and kept out of the public eye while on the official grounds. A difference in culture, but not one that bothered him much.

Shifting the shoulder where his bag of training supplies still hung, the tall man opened the doors to the building with a quick greeting, the top half of his training gi tied around his waist to reveal an athletic t-shirt and still carrying with him the scent of the forest.

“Many greetings, fellow guild members. I hope I’m not interrupting anything important.” He gave a small bow to the gathered procession as he set his bag down. “Anyone check the job board for new requests yet?”

Argus Leandros

“Genuine huh. . . " *Argus mutters under his breath, chuckling a little at the antics of the other two. Rapping his fingers against the counter while raising up another hand to run through his hair, the young man couldn’t help the sigh that worked its way out of him as he tried to contemplate the advice given to him. “I'd need to be genuinely interesting for that to have a chance though . . .” The laughter this time was more at his own expense, leaning back on the bar stool as he started drumming up a beat with his fingers. Turning his gaze towards the job board, he couldn’t help but notice the bareness of it.

“Still nothing coming in, huh?” Argus chews the inside of his cheek while staring at the board, fingers still tapping against the bar counter.“Can’t we just ask that big guild over in Shirotsume to, like. . . source some jobs this way? At least help us advertise a bit, since most people seem to be too scared of the forest to drop on by.”

Nolan Waltz

Nolan just squinted at Brianna's smiling face long and hard before waving his hand at her dismissively. He had long since accepted that he was going to be given stupid nicknames so he no longer fought against it, as long it wasn't really demeaning. If that were the case, whoever made it up would've been buried six-feet in the ground. "Just keep the nicknames down a bit will ya? I swear, everyone and their mother has a bloody nickname for me these days." He just rolled his eyes, knowing that she was not going to let up now that Dalton filled her head with ideas.

The Exceed would have answered her question, but he was still preoccupied. "Hmf hmmmf!" Dalton's mouth was stilled covered by the spectral hand Nolan summoned and it certainly was not letting go anytime soon try as he might as he tugged at it. Really, it was more for his own good that he couldn't say anything. Hrm, hrrrm, hrrrm! His whines were muffled until the hand disappeared with a snap of Nolan's fingers. Dalton groaned and rubbed his sore lips. "Was that necessary?"

"You had it com-! Give me a heads up first!" Nolan lifted his arms up when Karn wrapped himself around his waist. His eyes averted the hyper mage when he acknowledged Nolan's hard work to become an S-Class mage. "Give me a break, it was not like I was actively trying to get a promotion." If his face was red before, then watching Karn transform into Nolan and saying he was going to work hard to impress Ariel made him go supernova. "God dammit Karn! Don't say that with my face!" If there was any semblance of Nolan's brooding façade, it was completely shattered now.

And there was Brianna again with her teasing. "It's hardly a secret that we're dating. No need to make a big deal out of it." He grumbled to himself. From the corner of his eye he saw Sasha's little tike all snugged up to Penny. Well, he greeted Damian so he may as well welcome his colleague back as well if out of curtesy. "Good to see you are well, Penny." He said monotonously. An attempt was made.

Nolan did have a small smile for the toddler in her arms and waved at her before he turned his attention to Sasha. "Oh, hey Sasha. I'm teaching at the ballet studio again on Sunday at the usual time. Feel free to drop Faith off for some exercise." Surprisingly enough, Nolan was friendly by his standards to Sasha. Despite what that cold, brooding exterior would lead anyone to believe, he enjoyed doting Faith so he always made these offers or gave bits of candy as a treat.

The excitement through in the guild was through the roof again though the most that came out Nolan was a chuckle. Well, it looked like they were going to have to get ready for a festival!

Sengoku Enma

The doors to the guild slammed open and the large figure made its way through the doorframe, making sure his horns did not get caught on them again. Enma stretched his jaw wide out with a yawn, his sharp pearly whites seemed to be even more pronounced this way. "Yo, what did I miss? Have Prince and Michael hooked up yet?" He said half jokingly as he pulled up a chair from a table and dragged it over to where the main crowd seemed to be. The chair moaned and creaked as he sat down.

His eyes caught the appearance of an unknown white haired girl. "Who's the little lady? We got ourselves a new recruit?" He leaned forward to Keiko, using his Kanabō to keep his balance. It did not occur to him that his... unusual appearance could have been frightening to her. Heck, it was the kind of mug that made babies cry at a passing glance.

The larger than life Oni grinned, bearing those sharp fangs of his and said, "You can call me Enma. If you have any questions about the guild or me, don't be afraid to ask."

Interacting with: Brianna (and tearsy) @Landaus Five-one

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The search was proving difficult as expected when trying to pick out a single familiar face among a big group of new faces. Not that he was given long to scan the guildhall before hearing footsteps from behind helping him realize he was still by the doors and with his larger build had him partially blocking the doors causing him to bonk himself on his own forehead for such foolishness and quickly stepped out of the way to let an unknown woman walk through." Sorry about that miss. You have a wonderful day." Giving a friendly salute to the person walking by then let out a sigh from his fluttering lips." Really need to stop forgetting to move away from the doors after entering places." Scratching at his forehead, knowing it was due to his overeagerness that he kept forgetting, when he felt a small rumble from the cloud hugged against his ride sight." Oh shut up. You could of warned me you know." He muttered out slightly annoyed while giving Nimbus a small poke.

" Now where was I? Oh Yes! Operation cousin hunt." Nodding his head with a determined expression as he made to take a step forward to venture further into the hall but was stopped short from hearing a sudden voice speaking up in his head; a lovely young woman's voice at that asking who he was and something about positive energy." Hm? Well I always assume it to be my natural sunny charisma I'd say." Answering aloud having failed to notice that he answered normally to a voice in his head until a few seconds later did an alarm clock of realization rang in his head. He jumped in place with both hands clutching the sides of his head." Holy cow! I just heard a voice in my head, did you hear it too Nimbus?" Turning his head to the cloud now freed of his hug which now floated at his side, his eyes wide and expectant." Well unless you suddenly gained the ability to actually speak in a woman's voice then that mean there can only be three options."

Pulling his hands from his head to tap a finger against his chin in a pondering." If not Nimbus then it must either be
A. A member of this guild is a telepath
B. Aliens
C. I've finally cracked and gone crazy...
"

Musing these options to himself for a few seconds then let out a short laugh while placing hands on his hands." Well it definitely isn't C so it obviously must be..." Pointing a finger up as he held off for dramatic effect; feeling as if a camera closed up on his eyes shifting suspiciously side to side." Aliens!" He exclaimed assuredly with a serious expression on his face showing he was sure of his answer until he heard the voice ring in his head again making his eyes rise upward to learn that it was in fact not aliens afterall causing him to hang his arms and head in a dejected manner." So it wasn't aliens? Awww." Momentarily saddened only to perk right back up as he caught that it was instead a talking sword." No way! A talking sword? Ohohoho that's so fracking awesome! Nimbus, pal there's a sword talking..in my head! A sentience sword!" Exclaiming in excited disbelief as he pointed both fingers towards his head." Oh man, if a sword can become sentient.." His eyes widen in a delighted gasp as he grabbed the sides of Nimbus giving the cloud a small shake." If its capable for a sword then maybe one day...you could?! I can only imagine the things you could have to say to me." He bounced giddily on his feet at such a thought.

Getting caught up in his enthusiasm of such possibility that he nearly forgot about the sword talking in his mind as he could already feel countless questions coming to mind. Placing his fingers to his forehead with a look of concentration.* Sorry about that as I never expected to have a weapon speaking to me, so you said your name is tearsy right? Wait...is this telepath thing only one way? Can you read what I'm thinking or is it just the one way?* Tilting his head, uncertain of how this worked exactly.

*I know! How about I test it by spouting a string of words and you read them back!* Nodding as he took a deep breath, his eyes closed shut in preparation before thinking out word after word though in his excitement found himself doing so rapidly without meaning to.

*Duckhouseboattreedogbushparkbikeapplegiraffepizzalibrarytaconapkinsodaglasscarpetcatburgermirrorbananacloudlogdoghogsteakstakenathandrake42.* Planning to spout off more in his head but caught himself as another thought came to mind.* Wait, is it just words or does it also work with images too?!* Eager to try that he began concentrating on picturing images of the words he previously rambled off.

He was only able to get a few images in before having his concentration broken by another different womanly voice, this time verbally spoken. Turning his eyes and attention onto the young woman; blinking a few times as if forgetting where he currently was for a brief moment." Huh? Oh, hello there..Brianna was it? That's a really nice and fancy name you got there." A wide friendly grin forming while rubbing at his forehead." Ah, right my name! Sorry about that." Turning to face her properly and gave a dramatic flair of the hand before bowing forward in an gentlemanly manner." The name's D'angelo Schultz, man of the sky and traveler extraordinaire." Unable to help but snicker to himself after doing such an overly elaborate introduction.

Then his head popped up while still bowed forward." Oh! So you're the one with the.." Blinking as he noticed the glowing sword at her waist." Ooh so its true. It really is a sentient sword. That's so wickedly cool!" Laughing with a pump of his fists; finding himself freaking out over the sword, his eyes wide in marvelous wonder.

There were so many things he wanted to ask her regarding Tearsy but before he could a guy stepped up on the stage and spoke to the all those within the guildhall through microphone.

Standing up with arms folding across his chest as he listened to the man give a speech having him wonder if this guy was the guild leader or at least a higher up member. His eyebrow lifted curiously upon hearing that an exhibition match was apparently going to be held and where it would be taking place." An exhibition eh? That sounds cool." He wondered of the four that would be fighting though his enthusiasm was low compared to the others within the hall as he had little interest in fighting and also the fact he was an outsider to that of the guild and magnolia.

Still though, it seemed like it could be a fun outing with a chance to meet more of the group and make some friends and..." Ah, right! Miss Briana I want you to know I have many many..many questions about tearsy and believe I will ask about them at a later time but all the excitement and intrigue of meeting you and your awesome sword almost made me forget." Nodding his head before clearing his throat into his fist." But for now I have the most important question to ask. Do you perhaps know of Nolan Waltz and if he might be here?"

Regan Hadou
Silverbranch Glade

Regan raised an eyebrow at Bullet as he came out, her lips curling just slightly, "You don't hunt or anything, do you? You reek of sweat and smoke and-" the tang of iron? Now that he's closer, "blood?" He was certainly presentable, for someone speaking like he belonged here. Maybe he did. No matter. The delightful young lady approached to inspect her ever so curiously. Herself, she checked the security strap on her katana's sheath was done and secure.

She shook her head at the girl's question, indeed unaware that she was anywhere in particular. Master Hadou was learning a lot today, and not least of which is that she found an old witch's coven! Zhulie's companion snapped her back up, cutting her lesson short and Regan held up her hands. "Whoa, there, don't worry. Even if you were still a witch's coven, it wouldn't concern me. Not anymore, and I dunno if the Electrician's Guild would pay for witches anyway. I'm not a bounty hunter anymore, though, so you can relax. I'm just a cook." A mage-cook, but a cook.

Zhulie was quick to override any suggestion or implication Bullet made of Regan being sent away. Just as well, this would help them make a good impression on her. If it were someone else, they might get the idea to report this 'Coven with a flimsy cover', they might call it. She was more than willing to put in a good word for good folk.

At the mention of food, however, Regan's interest was piqued, "ah, I would love the chance to learn about new cuisine!" The previous thing took her arm and started to lead the way back to her Guild... Hall? She didn't know what to expect, she looked forward to learning about them.

She chose to take Zhulie's lead and ignore Bullet.

The girl had mentioned the necessity of taking a break, and she couldn't help but think of her recent stop in Magnolia. That pervy sword... Why did telepaths always have to be such a bother? "Aren't you just a darling girl, Zhulie. I'm sure ol' Bullet over there is just trying to look out for ya, too.

"So, Zhulie, are you officially a member of your guild yet? I know some guilds don't let you in officially until you're so old or whatnot, though others don't really care." As well, she took a look around for those lanterns that Bullet had mentioned. She'd seen a lot of different lantern styles in her travels, so she wondered what they'd look like here.

"So, your guild. If it used to be a witch's coven, what's it like now? Is it… not a Coven anymore?" She was simply curious. Even if they were a guild, it could just be a front. She wasn't about to tell these fine people their business, however. If the girl was the example to take, these folks were welcoming and kind, and that's about as hard as she'd look at them. She glanced at Bullet, "I suppose you have reason to be... Weary. But, please. I mean no trouble."

Karn/Edo-Karn
Location: Magnolia | Phoenix Wing Guild

Interacting: Penny @MarshiestMallow, Brianna/Tearsy@Landaus Five-One, Damian @Zarkun, Nolan @hatakekuro, Mandi@Dezuel, Neil @Sanguine Rose, Trinity @CitrusArms

Karn flashed a bit of a smile to Brianna's reassurance before his green eyes flashed back to the person clad in yellow, his grip on Penny's clothes tightening as he peeked over to look at the stranger. His face flushed a little at the compliment and flashed a soft smile, glancing down as his foot dragged small circles on the ground with the toe end of his shoe. "Oh no, I'm not all that strong, many other mages here are way stronger than I am." he said with a soft chuckle, blinking a little as he could hear Edarn sigh within his head.

"You really underestimate how much trouble your transformation magic alone can be." She echoed within his mind.

The blonde tilted his head a bit in confusion. "You mean like when I transform into my Eastern Chimera form?" he thought back.

Edarn sighed, one could feel the shake of the head. "Let's use Ashtray over there as a example. If you wanted to, you could transform into him, use his modeling popularity standing, and go around messing around. Make his life extremely difficult by going around random girls around town and flirting away. It would cause quite a bit of trouble for him." she said and Karn stared blankly as he pondered over why he would do that. "It's a example. It would be amusing, but I don't recommend it. The guy probably couldn't handle it." she finished.

Giving a thoughtful nod while flashing Nolan a innocent smile and playful tongue sticking out at the Ash God Slayer's shout of embarrassment, Karn perked up once more as Penny wrapped a comforting arm around him and he flashed a grateful smile as his nerves calmed. He wasn't sure why Nolan wasn't all that big on hugs, they felt so nice and warm. Glancing toward Tearsy upon Brianna's hip at the question, the blonde gave a thought before pointing to Penny with a chuckle. His eyes caught sight of a newly arrived man who reminded Karn of pudding for whatever reason. Before Karn could give a proper examination, a chill ran down his spine and for a brief moment, his body locked up and he felt a sharp pain in his chest that pricked at his very soul.

Blinking a bit, Karn then heard the pitch cry of a child and he turned his green eyes toward a little girl named Faith. With Sasha following behind. Ah, Eddie must have noticed them before he did. Karn smiled brightly as Faith clung to Penny, even brighter when the little girl called for him so cutely. He reached down and gently grasped the child's reaching hand. "Hi there Fae-Fae!! How are you?" he chirped cheerfully, attention completely distracted by the cute little girl.

Perking up at the tug of his dress, he turned and smiled brightly at Trinity and ecstatically accepted the request and wrapped his arms around her waist in a tight hug. "Trinny!! Hi Hi!" he cheered before turning to look up at Neil and also gave him a hug. "Hi NiNi!" he greeted cheerfully before pausing as Damian raised his voice for a announcement. As Damian explained, Karn threw his arms up and joined in the cheers happily. It was so exciting. A show and display of magic from those at the top of the guild and a parade! It'll be so fun he was sure!

Prince
Location: Dragon Fang Guild

Interacting: Keiko @BlackMaiden, Caitlyn @Landaus Five-One, Michael @MarshiestMallow, Silver Wolf @Raijinslayer, Enma @hatakekuro

Prince's smile brightened as Michael took hold his hand with much ease compared to how Michael used to be. The blue haired boy was still a shy little thing, but he had grown quite a bit since the first time they met. And everybody in the guild probably could easily say that Michael probably spoiled Prince out of anybody. A rumbling purr vibrated from his chest and throat as he intertwined his slender clawed fingers with Michael's. Enjoying the taste of the magic, which its flavor was soothing and left one a bit light on their feet. Teal eye glancing to Keiko at her question, the tall cat man gave a hum in thought, as if he had to think through the question. His free hand rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

"Well I'm sure some magic can be poisonous to us, much like how some foods are poisonous to humans. I'm sure Black Magic probably would be a likely culprit, but can't say I have tested it out. Regular old poison magic types seem fine though." he answered with a chuckle before whistling a bit.

"8 eh? Started off so young." he mused before blinking toward the door as a familiar man smelling of the forest came walking in. Prince raised a hand and waved with a smile to return the greeting.

"Wolfy buddy hello there! Done training already? Apologies, I have yet to check myself. Busy getting extra sleep and then chatting with old and new friends." Prince chirped before a familiar Oni came walking in, grinning at the comment the red colored oni made.

Dramatically, Prince threw his free arm over his forehead like he was in such distress he would faint. "Unfortunately, my charms have yet to work and woo the cute and handsome Mikey." he said as though he just got smacked in the face. Grinning under his arm, he dropped it while raising Michael's hand that was currently intertwined with his. Closing his eye, the red feline man brought the hand up to to his lips and gave the back of Michael's hand a kiss. The trickle of magic he tasted was now a nice mouthful amount, and he couldn't help but purr in satisfaction as his hunger was satisfied. Though, he was more eager to see Michael's reaction. Opening his one eye to give a quick wink, Prince gave Michael's knuckles a few pecks before untwining their fingers and letting go. Giving a amused grin as his lithe tail swayed happily.

Turning to Enma, Prince gave a smile as his hands dramatically motioned to the young lady, Keiko. "Ah yes! Enma, this is Keiko. She came here to have a bit of a look around, ask some questions. No final decision on joining or anything. She seems to a interesting curious young lady though. Cailyn and I were just trying to be pleasant hosts. Or curious cats." he said before looking to Michael again and smiled, a hand gingerly brushing over the top of the blue hair.

"Don't worry Mikey, sure your brother will be fine. And the Guildmasters having a normal conversation. Jack probably is happy to have a little break from here eh?" Prince said as he gave a bit of a mischievous smile.

Phoenix Wing Training Grounds->Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

@BlackMaiden

While most might've thought that after having done various sword swinging drills for the last 4 hours, one might be deserving of a break. But not the man currently standing by his lonesome in the middle of the training grounds that belonged to the one of, if not the most prominent light guild going around, Phoenix Wing. Today was even meant to be a rest day, but his relentless and stubborn want to train would come as little surprise to anyone who knew the young man Cody Bloodstein. His work ethic was second to none once he set his mind on something, no matter how sore his arms felt after each swing, nor how much sweat he felt running down his face, drenching the ground as it dripped down with a soft plop, he kept swinging all while repeating the same single thought.

"It's still not good enough. Faster, stronger, more. Don't stop."

He couldn't afford to slacken off, he knew this all too well. He was sick of being of little to no use when he was actually needed, the pain of failure a powerful fuel source as all the pent up frustration he felt from those moments drove him even further. He wouldn't fail anyone again, or so that was his goal. Some might call it impossible, but without setting a lofty height, how could one properly motivate themselves? And while his training with the blade had certainly paid passive dividends, especially his trip with his mentor James for several months, he knew this wasn't enough. Not even learning a 2nd magic was enough for the young man, simply just another thing to perfect in his goal to protect.

Even now, his body ached and screamed at him to stop, finding the well of mental fortitude he had built up over the last two years to be key in overcoming any aches and pains of such low intensity. It would only be another ten minutes though before even that sturdy brick wall would come crumbling down as if made of straw, finding that during one swing his sweat coated hands lost grip of his sword. Slipping from his grasp, he watched blankly as it flew across the training grounds, before grimacing as the air was soon filled with a sharp, metallic clang as it clashed heavily against a wall.

Ok, maybe that was a good sign to stop.

He wasn't even sure how long he had been at it for, what had felt like only a couple of hours to him had actually been over five. He looked over to where Ethel would normally be found watching him, though she seemed absent today. Or maybe she had already come and gone? He was unsure, he didn't claim to ever understand how that girls mind worked, nor did he particularly want to. With a sigh, he dismissed the lonely thoughts that began to cloud his mind. He definitely wasn't missing being told how cool his swordplay looked at all, definitely not.

Moving over to where he had flung Magia, he sheathed the blade before running some water, splashing it over his face as he reached over for a towel he had brought with him. Obviously the intensity of the training meant he needed something to wipe away the sweat, drying his face as he turned the tap off and looked skyward for a moment, a thought creeping into his tired mind. Had it really been two years? He wasn't sure why that thought had materialised, though he now moved his gaze down to his palm, where his guild mark was proudly presented and couldn't help the smile that crept across his face.

"Two years huh?" Tracing the mark slowly, he couldn't help but reflect on everything that had happened since that fateful day. While he had wanted to join a guild, he couldn't help but pinch himself at the time that he had joined Phoenix Wing, who's reputation had only soared in the time since, though through no effort of his own. When he had joined the guild, he was so weak, so frail and so...idiotic. His actions only getting his fellow members in trouble. However, since he commenced his training with James, even Cody couldn't deny that he had grown stronger, even if he hadn't grown as strong as he would've liked, he pinned that on himself rather than his mentor.

Letting out another sigh, he let the towel hang from his shoulders as he began the short trek back home. His grumbling stomach finally getting through to him to show just how long he had been at it, deciding that maybe it was indeed time for a short break at the very least. For even though he was stubborn and knew he needed to keep training if he wanted to get stronger, James had also hammered in that breaks were necessary to rest and recover properly.

He had saved up some money from doing quests and bought an apartment on the outskirts of town, a fair bit out of his way but it was affordable and cozy enough. Plus the walk from the apartment to the guildhall he also considered part of his training, sometimes even running there if he felt like it. So he stopped off there, to briefly shower and get a change of clothes, before heading towards the guild hall. While he was perfectly capable of cooking himself, the food at the guildhall was simply better. Plus, there was a fair chance that he could dine and chat with James for a little. Or maybe find himself a quest to do, he was running short on funds so that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Oh, he could always go on a quest with James! That would be fun indeed. And if James was too busy, maybe he could try someone else? It wouldn't hurt to build a rapport with more of the members, like some of the newer ones seemed fun to be around at the very least. While these and many other similar thoughts filled his mind, he didn't seem to notice the time fly as he soon found himself out the front of the guild hall, taking a moment to admire the structure as he sighed once more, happily though. Nothing felt quite like home like the guild-hall, did it?

Taking another moment, he would push open the doors and could immediately feel the buzz of excitement in the air. It was packed, as usual, but there was a certain...atmosphere about. Something was happening, you didn't need any special senses or super computer IQ to work it out. And when Damian grabbed the microphone, well that only confirmed it.

Wait, Damian? When had he gotten back? While Cody couldn't exactly say he knew the man personally all that well, his reputation amongst the guild was very strong. He and another S-Class in Penny had gone off travelling together, so Cody hadn't seen much of either the last couple of years, so their return was news in of itself. But what followed was almost as big.

A festival? A parade? Even a Exhibition match between the S-Classes? Well, this was all a bit of a shock to the system to Cody. He wasn't against the idea, in fact he among others were certainly in favour of it, the excitement in the room swelling to fever point it seemed. Many were cheering, many raised their hands, many did both, others simply smiling and excitedly chatting amongst themselves. Ah what a time to return indeed, he was glad he had decided to come back to the guild hall. He would've missed the announcement if he hadn't.

Spotting James, he took a step towards his mentor before someone else caught his eye. Or rather, the movement of the exceed on the table. Was that....yes, it was. Standing dumbfounded for a moment, he soon mentally snapped himself out of his stupor before energetically making his way over. Even though his body was sore and tired, just seeing the person in question again was enough to fill him with energy as he stopped short of the table that Amaya and Ceclia sat at.

Now he hadn't only come over here upon seeing Amaya out of impulse, but uh he didn't actually know what to say at all as he sat down across from her. Would she even remember him? Regardless, he should say something right? Yeah he should.
"Been a while Amaya, how was your training?" With a sheepish grin, he awkwardly fumbled about with his hands as he tried not to stare at her. "And uh more importantly...how have you been?"

And

Outside Magnolia

"I-it's not funny Rajah!" Came an annoyed remark from the water dragon slayer as she and her winged partner made their way back to Magnolia, puffing her cheeks out. Jasmine had gone on a Job to deliver a package to Hargeon Port, and while that was a trip that took a long while by foot, Jasmine had no choice to. Being a dragon slayer, she couldn't handle any form of transportation as things stood, developing a debilitating case of motion sickness just at the thought of going by carriage or train. And while she could see the funny side of the situation, having spent a whole four years living as a travelling merchant with her 'parents' only for her magic to resurface two years ago and now she was unable to set foot on one without becoming a vegetable.

But what she didn't find funny was Rajah's constant need to remind her of how pathetic it was!

"I'm just saying Jaz, we could've had this job wrapped up in under a day! But instead it's taken us five!" The exceed moaned, making exeraggerated movements with her arms to showcase her annoyance at the situation. Not that she had sore legs or anything, she had flown the entire time after-all with seemingly little effort. So Jasmine wasn't sure what her problem was!

"W-well if you had just carried me-"

"You know I can't do that Jaz, it's beneath someone of my station to carry their servant around."

"A-and I keep telling you I'm not your servant!"

How many times had they had this argument? Probably the entire two years that she and the exceed had none one another. That's right, even when they first met, she refused to carry the actually quite small Dragon Slayer. At first, Jasmine let her excuse of being too small slide. But now, even she was getting annoyed with the exceed's complaints. If she had such a big problem with them taking so long, then she shouldn't be so lazy!

"A-and besides Rajah, we only took five days because you spent two whole days wanting to explore the port and eat fish!"

"Hmph, you should be grateful I even let you have some."

"I paid for it!"

"And as my favourite servant, so you should. And as do I, I pay you with my beautiful, graceful presence every day! Bwahahahaha!" Seeming quite proud of herself despite how flustered the blonde was getting with the argument, Rajah let out a bellowing laughter that filled the air with her mocking tone.

"J-just forget it..." Rubbing her temples and letting out a heavy sigh, Jasmine could only shake her head as Rajah looked smugly down upon her. She knew better than to try and argue with the exceed, she had a skull thicker than the earth's crust. But Rajah was adorable, and most of the time tolerable at least so Jasmine didn't mind her as company, though some would find their relationship to be far more bizarre just that of 'the odd couple'.

Jasmine just wanted to get back to the guild hall and report back that the Job had been finished and she had gotten the payment from the client, go home to the dorms, have a shower or bath or whatever, then go to sleep. The job had taken way longer than it should've thanks to Rajah, no matter how much she complained that it was Jasmine's own fault. While she couldn't deny that walking there made the trip longer, she wasn't the one wasting time!

During their argument, Magnolia had began to creep into view. They would only be about another hour or so, then Jasmine could sit back and relax for at least a few hours. Unless Jamie needed her to man the bar again. She found herself unable to refuse any requests from most individuals, let alone the guild master. No matter how mundane it might be or how tired she herself be, such as cleaning the guild hall, taking over the bar or even helping out in the kitchen. Hell, sometimes she asked to do it or started doing it without being asked. All she wanted to do was help out wherever she could, it was the least she could after everything the guild had already done for her.

"H-hey, Jaz, whats wrong?" Jasmine had come to an abrupt stop, and that was when Rajah saw the man sitting in the middle of the path sharpening a sword. "Huh? Who the hell do you think you are fuckface? Get the fuck outta the way!" Her tone changed quite considerably, where-as she seemed to be more teasing Jasmine, now she was full on just mad and annoyed at this man.

"Well, well, well. Thought we could hear some lovely ladies bickering...but who would've thought it was just one girl, and a flying furball huh boys?" The man shrugged, sighing as another dozen or so random generic bozo's bandits walked out from their respective hiding places. "Eh, only one little girl boss? Why we bothering with this? I know ya gotta a thing for blondes, but come on." Came the complaint from a man to his right.

Now that Jasmine thought about it, there had been a Job posted to deal with some bandits in the area. Would she get in trouble completing a job she hadn't taken? Though this was purely self defense. Irregardless, to think they would operate so close to Magnolia? They were either incredibly brave, or insanely stupid. As the men bickered amongst themselves, Jasmine stepped forward and brought her left forward, showing the men the back of her hand; and more importantly, the Phoenix Wing mark that shone a brilliant gold in the sunlight.

"I-If you know what's good for you...l-lay down your weapons. I-I'm a mage from Phoenix Wing, s-so come quietly and I-I'll put in a good word with the Rune Knights...or umm...something." Her tone tailed off near the end, becoming quieter as the men stared blankly at her, before erupting into laughter. One even wiped a tear from their eye.

"You? A Mage? Girlie, we don't care if you're a mage from some pathetic light guild." Jasmine's eye twitched slightly at that comment. "We'll just deal with you and be on our way. Or we could return your deal...you give yourself up quietly, and we won't be too rough on you." A sneer followed the bandit's comment as their boss continued to watch her silently.

"Bahaha!" A loud laugh escaped Rajah, drawing the attention of all those present.

"And what's so funny cat?!"

"The fact you think that you mere pathetic humans think you can challenge me...The Goddess of all creation, Rajah! bahahahaha!" With another loud laugh, each and every word that came forth from the orange exceed was drenced in arrogance, a condescending look in her eyes just pissing the bandits off further. And in fact, more taunts and insults continued to spew forth from Rajah much to the horror of Jasmine.

"R-Rajah! I-I can deal with this, so please...be quiet!" Jasmine knew that if the exceed opened her mouth any more, then a fight would be unavoidable. So she would need to act quickly, because even she could tell that these bandits weren't going to leave her alone or come along quietly...but it had been worth a try. She still had one more trick up her sleeve though. Bringing her hands together, almost as if she was praying, she felt magic welling up inside her.

Having heard enough dribble from Rajah, the bandits soon froze as a sudden....calmness overcome them. Soothing waves, the smell of water, began to overpower their senses as they felt their consciousness slip away. One by one, they dropped to the ground, with only the leader managing to overpower the sensation that threatened to overcome their weak physce.

"W-what did you do girl?!" He seemed infuriated by the development, weakly getting up yet he seemed unable to muster any real...anger or venom about his words, almost sounding half-asleep. Jasmine seemed startled as her hands moved to the pendant around her neck.

"R-Ryujin...it...it didn't get them all. W-what do I do?" The man looked puzzleded as Jasmine seemed to be talking to herself, nodding as if she had received a response. "I-I'm sorry...b-but you asked for it!" Confused even further by her sudden apology, he blinked as suddenly Jasmine was in front of him, grabbing the front of his shirt before showing strength beyond that of her small and petite frame, lifting the much larger man up and over her head and slamming him against the ground. Having the wind knocked out of him, he was fully awake now as he gasped for air before feeling Jasmine sit atop his abodmen.

"T-this won't hurt a bit."

"Wh-what are you-"

Confusion spread across his face as Jasmine placed her hands on his chest, he was knocked out cold almost immediately as he felt all his strength leave him. Exhaling deeply, Jasmine could feel her heart racing a mile a minute. That could've gone so, so, so much worse. Shooting a sharp glare up towards Rajah, who was too busy smugly telling the bandits that's what they got for messing with her, she let out a sigh before opening up her backpack and pulling out some rope. She didn't even bother asking or telling Rajah to make herself useful and help her tie them up, it was pointless. Not only did Rajah not know how to tie rope, she wouldn't listen anyway. And even if by some miracle she did...she would just mess it up.

Magnolia->Phoenix Wing Guildhall

@Silver Fox@hatakekuro@CitrusArms@Sho Minazuki@MarshiestMallow
After having dropped off the bandits at the local Rune Knight garrison, or whatever was the eqvuivalant in Magnolia and managing to get a payment for a job she hadn't even accepted, she made a beeline for the guild so she could uh...explain that she had already done the job so they should take it down. It wouldn't be long before the girl was pushing open the guild hall doors, just in time for a loud cheer to burst forth and nearly blow her ear drums out. Letting out a scream, she dropped to her knees and covered her ears, visibly confused as a pained look crossed her features.

It had been so loud and unexpected she couldn't stop herself....now she knew the guild hall was normally pretty noisey, but not that noisey. What was going on to make everyone so excited? Had someone started another brawl? She sure hoped not....

"Oh come on Jaz, don't be so pathetic! It was just a little noise!" Rajah shook her head disapprovingly as she fly into the guild hall, leaving the shellshocked slayer outside.

After a minute or so, Jasmine eventually moved her hands away from her ears and began slowly creeping back inside, first peeking her head through the door, before finally feeling safe enough that she could enter without her eardrums bursting again. She would have to find out what made them so excited....

"PENNY!" Well, that was certainly one thing she thought that might generate some excitement, it certainly filled her with such as she couldn't stop the beaming grin from forming as she ran over to Penny and joined in the hugging melee, not noticing at all everyone else in the vicinity as she nuzzled against Penny's shoulder...and was that tears?

"I-I missed you so muchhhhhhh! S-so much has happened!" Yep, those were tears as the younger girl sniffled and bawled her eyes out. That was at least till she opened her eyes and saw Nolan....then she went as pale as a ghost and frantically tried to hide behind Penny.

Magnolia->Phoenix Wing Guild-Hall

@Landaus Five-One@samreaper

Ethel had woken up rather early this morning, being careful not to wake Nolan as she made her way out. She usually left early in the morning, but unlike usual she wasn't off to go and bother Cody during his morning training. Well, she had watched him for a while but decided it was best to leave him to his own thoughts. Besides, she had a fairly important task to do today, the beginnings of a smile threatening to grace the girl as she bent down to Chu, the fluffy abomination happily munching the small crushed crystals in her outstretched hand. This was the last of her crushed lacrima supply, so she would have to go and pick up a new batch from Jarvis, although any lacrima would do his magic was exceptionally handy for this. Wiping her hand on her shoulder, she picked up the still happily munching Chu and put the little furball onto her shoulder. After it would scurry and hide down her cloak as she would bask in the sunlight for just a while longer, before dropping off from atop the random house she had decided to perch herself atop of.

There was no one beneath her when she dropped to scare the living daylights out of today though, so that was a nice added little bonus. She wasn't sure if Jamie or Jarvis wanted to hear another complaint of such nature about Ethel, there had already been at least 7 this week alone after all.

Though with her hood currently up, everybody milled about their business as per usual, paying no mind to the hilariously short young lady as she weaved her way through the masses. Not even a glance went her way, something that wouldn't have bothered Ethel anyway as her cloaks ability would've made the opposite rather worrying. Did she even need to cloak her presence amongst the crowd? Well, probably not. But Ethel preferred to go about things with as little fuss as possible, and this certainly aided in that regard.

Normally she would be arriving shortly at the guild, but instead she decided to take a more scenic route. She didn't really have any plans later on, bar talking to Jarvis about her lacrima restock, so she decided she had plenty of time to kill even after spending a good couple of hours watching Cody. With nary a thought, the girl completely vanished from view. Normally this would startle the crowd around her, but with her presence already obscured, none knew she was even there anyway. She would reappear a moment later outside a bakery, a purse of coins soon following in her hand. After fishing out a few coins, she would push open the door to the store, taking a moment to bask in the heavenly aroma of freshly baked bread and other goods.

"Ah, little Ethel is back again huh?" Came the husky voice of the man at the counter, who was currently polishing a mug before shooting the regular a toothy grin. "Whatcha after today little miss?"

"I already told you..." A sigh escaped Ethel as a hand found itself on her hip, her face unmoving as she stared at the man. "My name is just 'Ethel'. Ethel is just Ethel, not little Ethel, not little miss. Ethel is Ethel." While she didn't sound annoyed, the man did crack a grin and waved at her.

"Yeah yeah, I know little miss. But you're little, and a miss. It would be rather unprofessional of me to just call you Ethel, you are a customer after-all."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really."

"I...see."

Mumbling to herself after the brief exchange, Ethel made a mental log of this discussion for later use. Though there was every chance she would probably just end up forgetting it entirely. it would still make a good reference for the next time this cropped up.

"Eth...I mean I'll just have the usual." Catching herself, she fished a few jewels out of her purse and placed it on the desk, the man looking down at the currency before swiping it off the bench and dropping it into the till beside him.

"Not a problem...though you gave a little too much again. I'll just throw in a few extras, but you really should learn to count better little miss." Shaking his head, he bent down with a small paper bag in hand as Ethel just returned his statement with a tilted head.

She knew very much how to count, she wasn't sure what he was talking about. Actually, this reminded her of the other day when Nolan had asked her to go get some groceries and said something about how the money spent didn't add up, and that she was hopeless with money or something. She wasn't entirely sure what he was going on about, but maybe the incidents were related?

"Here ya go, and don't forget to say hi to your guildmates while you're there....and recommend them to the store." She wasn't given long to dwell on her thoughts, snapped out of her little daze by the hulking man mountain in front of her trying to hand her bulging paper bag back to her. With a grateful and understanding nod, along with a brief sure, she took the variety of sweets and left the building. She had a few more stops to go before the guild, so she popped the bakery treats into her requip pocket dimension and went to her next stop.

Her errands had easily burned through at least a couple of hours by the time she found herself pushing open the doors to the guild, a pastry in her mouth as she glanced about the building. The place was starting to fill up by now and there was a fair amount of mages in the building, some she recognised, some she didn't, and some she just couldn't think of their names. Now, her only business here today was with Jarvis, but still instead of making a beeline to the guildmaster, she went and found a seat as she continued to munch away at one of her pastries. She still had so much time on her hands for the rest of the day that she didn't feel a particular need to see Jarvis immediately, maybe she would browse the available jobs on the board as well? It had been a good couple of weeks since her last job, so she should probably go on one at some point.

And she would do just that after finishing off her little treat, though nothing on the board really caught her interest despite a thorough half hour search of every available job. Maybe she should find someone to tag along with? If none of them were particularly interesting to her, it might be funner to do one with someone else. Should she ask Nolan? She wasn't sure if he would be busy or not, but it might be worth a shout. If not, she could always ask Cody or even someone else entirely.

Though her attention now shifted to a commotion beginning to form. Something or someone had seemed to stir up the guild, a visible excitement about the inhabitants as Ethel took a moment to study those around her. Yep, it was definitely excitement. Of the good variety as well, as she began to push her way through to try and find the source of the commotion. She could hear the loud voice ringing throughout the guildhall, but well her short stature made it very difficult to try and look over other people to see who was speaking.

Oh, they were on stage now. That would help. And oh, it was uh...um.

Ummm.

David? No...Daniel? No that wasn't it either. Tilting her head, she began to scratch away at her milky blue hair as she racked her memory for the name of the mage on stage. He was really important too, but bloody hell what was it? Declan? Damnit what was it....Oh right, Damian! That's it! Like a light bulb going off in her head, she nodded approvingly as the guild suddenly began to cheer. She had been so caught up in her thoughts, she had barely registered what Damian had been saying, looking around mildly startled as the guild began to mumour and chatter like schoolchildren amongst themselves.

Spotting Nolan amongst the group near the stage, Ethel instead began to make her way towards the door. He seemed busy catching up with some people that Ethel could recognise, but once again couldn't quite place so maybe it was best to ask her him about going on a job. And the place was getting a little crowded and...excited for her liking, she needed some fresh air otherwise she was going to be overwhelmed by the overflowing emotions in the room. On her way past, the name drop that she so just happened to hear caused her to stop, casting a glance towards the pudgy young man that spoke Nolan's name.

She would've walked straight past without acknowledging him otherwise, but now she turned and took a few steps towards D'angelo, bringing her hood down before brushing some hair from her face. "How do you know Nolan?" She asked, her piercing crimson gaze focusing intensely on the taller boy. It wasn't a glare or anything of the sort, but just a cold and detached look. He seemed to have some reason to be seeking out Nolan, or at least Ethel assumed he did, so she was trying to see if she could work it out. which in all honesty, was hopeless for someone like Ethel. But hey, at least she tried!

"Because he's up front..Ethel can take you to him if you wanted."

Damian Gerard|Returning to Magnolia

Damian couldn't help but grin at the energy in the room and, as he watched the guild start to talk amongst themselves about the resurrection of the old festival, the ever faint sound of a guitar started to build in the back ground, drawing the attention of several members who knew the song, though it was drawn out for his part. "So while I've been training avidly over the course of the last two years as well as doing jobs, many of you are also familiar with a masked band that's come into heavy popularity over the last year and a half." He chuckled into the mic as the curtains behind him opened up revealing the members of the rising band Wild Ones, except without their masks. On guitar was none other than the guild's Jane Addeson with James Avelane, who'd disappeared form his table earlier, on bass. Guitar was handled by another well-known mage and nearby was a pianist who was simply enjoying the build up. However, their singer was apparently no where to be seen.

Until Damian stepped back and started in on the song lyrics.

Thunder, thunder, thunder, thunder
I was caught
In the middle of a railroad track
I looked round
And I knew there was no turning back
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you
Sound of the drums
Beating in my heart
The thunder of guns
Tore me apart
You've been
Thunderstruck

Rode down the highway
Broke the limit, we hit the town
Went through to Texas, yeah Texas, and we had some fun
We met some girls
Some dancers who gave a good time
Broke all the rules
Played all the fools
Yeah yeah they, they, they blew our minds
And I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please
Yeah them ladies were too kind
You've been
Thunderstruck

I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please

Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
It's alright, we're doin' fine
It's alright, we're doin' fine, fine, fine
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, baby, baby
Thunderstruck, you've been Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
You've been Thunderstruck

The reveal was clearly unexpected but welcome and the guild only got more energized by the sudden appearance of the well known band. Damian smiled wildly as it came to a close. "We're slotted to do a couple of performances for the festival, but right now, we're taking requests. Felt it only fair to come home and introduce you all to the band proper." His mood almost fell when he spotted a certain Exceed coming into the guild hall during the song, but he managed to avoid it and, when the winged menace came flying his way to try and steal the mic from him and likely praise herself again, he caught her in his free hand and punted her back out the front door over everyone's heads.

Magic: Ice Dragon Slayer/Exceed
Location: Phoenix Wing GuildHall
Thoughts: excited of seeing an old friend.
With:
Cody and Cecilia @Lunarlord34
Amaya was listening to the excitement around the guildhall as she was thankful for her heightened hearing so she could keep track of all that was happening. So there were new S classes. She was happy to find Nolan was one of them and another bartender rose. She was also happy to see the newest young member running around the hall, Faith was her name? What a pretty name. She listened to Damian speak of the announcement and the festival along with revealing the popular masked band that has more or less swept through the country. She smiled happily, seeing the S class mage never ceasing to amaze the outsider. Her attention was turned to a familiar scent, a bit sweaty but all the more familiar neither the less. It was Cody. She smiled listening to him as she decided to do the best greeting she could give the old friend.

She got up in one fluid motion bring her arms up and around his neck in a tight hug "It is so good to see you again Cody! I have been fine with Cecilia and the past two years were hard traveling and learning more of this world I am not accustomed to."She said sweetly shortly allowing herself to let go of the hug with a smile only for Cecilia to but in flying up to Cody's head before taking a seat in her rightful spot "Yep still my favorite spot, it is my favorite chair!"Declared Cecilia happily before hearing the guild become even more energized from the music.
"Isn't this amazing Cody! Do you want to go to the festival with me?"Asked Amaya suddenly with a hint of excitement "I know it isn't exactly close but this would be the first festival I actually want to go see and I been told it is better with those that mean something to you. So want to go with me!" asked Amaya again. Amaya was always shy but she was trying to actually be more than just shy.

"geez excited without Mother hen? That is shocking" muttered Cecilia from her perch on Cody's head.A small smile played on her face

Magic: Observer Magic
Location: Arriving at Dragon Fang GuildHall
Thoughts: Mikey and cat man= ???. Wait...Is that an Living Oni?!?!?!
With:@Landaus Five-One@Silver Fox@MarshiestMallow@hatakekuro@Raijinslayer

Keiko watched prince and the boy called Micheal? Mikey? something like that talk and enjoy each other's company before she looked over at the door opening again, hearing prince call the new mage wolf. Her noes twitched a bit catching the scent of what she might smell in the forest guessing he just got back from traveling? Was everyone just getting back from a vacation or training or something? She was so lost before she saw the towering figure of a being make his way into the guildhall. being careful of not hitting his horns. Keiko's eyes widen as they scanned the being. There was no doubt about it. No being could be mistaken or try being that of the being. It was a real-life Oni and the being actually noticed her off the bat? and it was nice? Keiko's heart fluttered and skipped a beat. it was a dream come true in her researcher's mind. "You're a real life Oni, right? !I always wanted to meet one. My father apparently met a few in his lifetime and he said they were different from each other in looks and personality. Please tell me everything about you and your kind! What's your favorite color? Favorite food? Do you have magic? What kind of magic do you use? how do you fight? Do you sleep?!"She asked Rambling questions on and on as if a gritty fangirl finally getting noticed by the celebrity she had obsessed over.

Observer on the other hand didn't seem to enthuse with the presence of the Oni or the interested as it folded its arms hovering some behind Keiko looking around. They were getting too much attention for their own liking, It didn't expect her to be so popular in the sense of others as most find her creepy and their contract unnatural and somewhat feared them as they rightfully should.

Priscilla Duran

Jamie’s Office, Phoenix Wing Guild Hall | Magnolia
Interacting with: Jamie Beltras @MarshiestMallow | Jack Goran @Zarkun

When Priscilla shook Jamie’s hand, she felt a rush of invigorating energy travel up her spine. This woman, the master of Phoenix Wing, gave off such an inspiring radiance that she couldn’t help but feel in awe. For a moment, it reminded her of her own mother. In a way, it felt more fitting for Agnus to be standing here. A leader without equal, she would have surely been worthy to grace this gathering of guild masters. Agnus wasn’t here anymore though. The task of representing Wolven Pyre, and by extension the Daughters of Hecate, fell to Priscilla. It was a daunting shadow to live in.

Magnolia is as beautiful as I remember it.” Priscilla responded to Jamie’s inquiry about finding the guild hall. “We who dwell within the Glade are often lacking the comforts of luxuries such as clothing boutiques and patisseries. I do apologise if it has led to any tardiness on my behalf, but I simply had to explore the sights before coming here.” She made a mental note to bring back some souvenirs for her guild members. Their small talk was interrupted by a red haired man entering the room whilst talking on a communication device. Turning to greet the man she knew to be Jack Goran, master of Dragon Fang, Priscilla offered her hand out for him to take in greeting.
It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Jack.” Dragon Fang was practically a hop, skip and a jump away from the Silverbranch Glade. Yet this was to be the first time she had met their master. “It is long overdue, I’m afraid. We’re practically neighbours and yet we’ve never met face to face. You’ll have to forgive me, but I’m afraid the bureaucracy of running a guild is still quite overwhelming for me. I rarely find time to escape my office, as I’m sure you can both sympathise.” She glanced down at Jamie’s desk at the pile of paperwork that made her own seem trivial by comparison. The unattractive side of running a successful guild it seemed.

Priscilla took a seat at one of the empty chairs around Jamie’s desk, standing her staff up beside her. The torch bearing staff stood upright on it’s own, the Unyielding Flame of Hecate keeping the room nice and toasty.
Are we waiting on anyone else? If not I’d like to begin by offering my sincerest gratitude to the both of you for allowing me to represent Wolven Pyre at this meeting. We may be small, but we’re spirited. Rest assured that the witches and mages of our guild are always available should you need us.” Staring down at the lacrima on Jamie’s desk, Priscilla couldn’t help but notice what looked like some sort of concert. Sure enough, the muffled vocals and various instruments droned from beneath them. It would seem Phoenix Wing’s reputation preceded them.

Bullet and Zhulie Pesta

The Archstones | Silverbranch Glade
Interacting with: Regan Hadou @CitrusArms

The group travelled along the lantern lit path with Zhulie leading the way. Bullet walked a few feet behind, his fists shoved into his pockets whilst he begrudgingly watched that damn brat lead someone she knew nothing about right back to the guild hall. Sure, Regan had given her word that she was no threat. Didn’t mean Bullet had to trust her. Worse off, it seemed Zhulie was all too happy to run her mouth and answer every little thing Regan wanted to know about Wolven Pyre. The group passed another lantern, the small flame flickering to life inside it’s cast iron cage whilst it dangled from the branch of a verdant oak. Carvings etched from many years ago depicted various runes and spell circles. Even just brushing past them, one could feel the ancient power that coursed through the glade. The witches of centuries past had definitely made their mark upon this forest.

Zhulie turned her face away with a slight blush at Regan’s compliments, and then returned back to her normal beaming self when the older woman inquired about her status in the guild.
I am a member! In a sense.” She showed Regan the back of her hand where the Wolven Pyre mark was imprinted in a warm, amber. The mark depicted the three headed Goddess Hecate; a bull, wolf and snake.
I’ve yet to forge a contract with my deity as of yet, so I’m afraid I don’t wield much in the way of magic.” Her free hand clutched a small pendant that hung from her neck, a beautifully carved teardrop of Rose Quartz dangling from the silver chain. It was her mothers. She glanced back up at Regan before realising she may not know what the young girl was talking about.
You see, witches learn magic through forging pacts with entities on different planes. We communicate with them and devote ourselves to them, and they grant us their gifts.” A voice from behind called out in objection.
She doesn’t need a lecture, kid.” Bullet grumbled. He began to shuffle forward, picking his pace up to hopefully reach the guild hall before he died of starvation. Walking alongside the pair, he simply clicked his tongue at Regan’s repeated assurance that she could be trusted. “We’d move a lot faster if you kept quiet, Zhulie.” The young girl poked her tongue out at him before turning her attention back to Regan. This woman certainly was curious about the guild. She had no choice but to oblige her of course! Filled with pride for her home, why wouldn’t she?

Our coven is the Daughters of Hecate. We’re still active, but our leader Priscilla is the one who opened our doors to mages during the reign of the magic management council.” Zhulie was still very young when the previous council was dismantled, so she wasn’t privy to a lot of details of the event.
She sheltered them and kept them safe in the glade, and I guess they loved it so much here they wanted to stay! Priscilla is the most amazing witch I’ve ever met. She stood before the council and pleaded her case, establishing the light guild Wolven Pyre as a place where mages and witches could live harmoniously.” Zhulie always got shivers when she heard the story. She idolised Priscilla as the ideal witch; strong, powerful but reserved and regal. She instinctively found herself nestling into Regan as they walked.
If I could grow up to be half the witch Priscilla is, then I’ll consider myself lucky.” Her Choosing Rites were only a week away. Bullet was happy for her, but somewhat worried that the process would change her in some way. Not that change was a bad thing, but he’d grown accustomed to Zhulie’s bright demeanor and happy-go-lucky spirit. He wasn’t educated enough to know what forging a pact with a deity was like; he only hoped that they’d still have the same Zhulie afterwards.

The familiar sight of the coven Archstones came into view through the brush, resulting in a delighted squeal from the young girl. Zhulie skipped ahead of the others to stand beside the mighty, stone obelisks. They were each spaced a few meters apart, the rows stretching far into the glade as far as one could see.
Oh Regan look!” She beckoned the older woman over, tracing along the intricate carvings of the stones. Yet unlike the lantern bearing trees, these rocks seemed absent of any power. There was definitely a residual energy, and a powerful one at that. Even Bullet could feel it when he pressed his palm against the smooth rock.
These Archstones were placed by Beatrice Duran, our coven’s founder, hundreds of years ago. When our kind were still in hiding, these stones formed a powerful protective charm that kept the coven hidden from wanderers. Of course, Priscilla undid the magic within them once we became known to the world. Wolven Pyre is a place welcome to any stranger seeking refuge now.” Bullet glanced away from Regan, a slight pit in his stomach. He hadn’t been particularly welcoming. Swallowing his reservations, the young man cleared his throat and continued to trek past the Archstones.

We’re almost there, come on.” Bullet pressed onward, and sure enough, the sight of a magnificent tree came into view. It’s enlarged roots stood tall above them, spreading out far and wide in all directions. The canopy towered high above, with just barely enough light piercing the leafy veil to illuminate the surrounding forest. If one looked closely enough, they could spy the intricate network of rope bridges and huts formed from shaped vines and foliage that encompassed the entirety of the tree’s mighty branches. Natural caverns formed in the great hollow made for excellent passageways to the various levels of the tree. At the base stood a mighty wooden door, a carved insignia practically faded to nothing etched upon it. Much more modern was the fresh banner bearing the same guild mark that Zhulie had shown Regan. She held onto Regan’s arm, barely able to contain her excitement as she bounded up and down.
Welcome to Wolven Pyre!

Henri Baptiste and Meredith Clagnan

Wolven Pyre Guild Hall | Silverbranch Glade
Interacting with: Argus Leandros @Raijinslayer

Henri ran his fingers through his now dry hair and exhaled slowly. It wasn’t the first time Argus had put himself down, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last. The boy was his own worst enemy. It frustrated Henri to say the least, but he knew better than to push too hard. When the younger mage turned around and changed the topic to the barren job board, Henri swung around on his stool to glare at the scraps pinned up. It had barely changed since last week.
Aye, we of the coven have had no trouble seeing that we are mostly self sufficient.” Henri had lived with the Daughters of Hecate for quite some time. It was true that they’d never needed an income to survive, but being an official guild meant mages would make their way to them in search of employment. Suffice to say, the jobs were few and far between. Argus’ suggestion of inquiring with Dragon Fang for some assistance peaked his interest. Meredith slid a bowl of salted almonds across to the boys, to which Henri almost immediately stuffed a handful into his mouth.
Mm.. you hab a poi-
Don’t talk with your mouth full!” Meredith smacked Henri on the top of his head. He cowered at her strike, taking a moment to gulp down the almonds with a satisfying exhale.
Sorry ma’am.” Meredith rolled her eyes. “You have a point there Argus, mate. I’m sure Dragon Fang has jobs to spare.” The idea of tagging along on one of their famous hunts was appealing. He rubbed his goatee and leaned back against the bar. Meredith piped up from behind.
It’s a nice idea, Argus. Unfortunately, I worry Priscilla may be too proud to ask for such assistance.” Henri stared up at the ceiling. He’d known Priscilla for many years and she’d always upheld herself as someone who would have done anything to preserve the coven. Yet Meredith knew her longer, and though it was easy to place Priscilla Duran on a pedestal; she was also human. Arrogant and prideful though? He wasn’t so sure about that.
Well, she is at that meeting with the other masters. Who knows what will come of it?” Henri threw a couple almonds up into the air, tipping his head back and swerving on his stool to catch around half of them in his mouth. Good enough. Pulling a closed fist back towards himself in triumph, he extended his elbow out to nudge Argus in the side; another handful of almonds readied to be thrown up. Regardless of whether the young man wanted to partake, Henri lobbed them up into the air and watched them cascade down upon his guildmate. He was practically hanging off the edge of his seat in anticipation. He could feel Meredith’s disapproving glare boring into his soul.

Regan Hadou
Silverbranch Glade, The Archstones --> Wolves Pyre guild hall

@Cello@Raijinslayer

Pacts and contacts, huh? And devotion. Something about it didn't quite sit right with her, but she put it out of her mind for now. If they'd been around for centuries, they had to be doing something right, right? Right. Entities from different planes, though, that was wild. She supposed she'd heard of things like that before. Celestial Spirit magic was something like that, wasn't it? There was that spirit that was catching on as a pet, even for non-magic users. Some kind of dog, wasn't it? What was it called? Plow? Ploue? Hmm.

Anyway. "Mm, so it's a coven within the guild. I see." Must make for a unique guild experience. She'd ask Bullet about it, if he weren't so reserved. Maybe later. Zhulie nestled in and Regan found herself with an arm around her, hand lightly on her shoulder. "I'm sure you'll make a fine witch, Zhulie."

The squeal caught Regan just a bit off guard, her hand lifting as Zhulie went ahead. Excitable lass. She followed her at pace, looking over the old carvings in the stone. Compelled, she let her fingers trace along the stone surface. It felt a little bit like Green Earth was interacting with something, but she couldn't be certain. "Your guild mistress is quite the lady. I bet she's also very busy." She glanced at Bullet with a soft smile. The cautious type, there wasn't anything wrong with that.

As the young man said, it wasn't much farther. The martial artist mage looked up into the branches, taking a moment to admire the great strength and vitality of the tree before her. The mighty branches and trunk that supported bridges and homes, the gracious trunk that made room for caverns within. If she didn't know any better, she'd say this was the life tree. "Wow, this is your guild hall?" As Zhulie took her arm, Regan put her hand over the little lady's without thinking. "I must say, the tree alone is amazing. You'll have to give me a tour, Zhulie." She offered a sweet smile as she opened the door to the guild hall and stepped in.

The smell was amazing. The incredible wood smell you'd expect, but also very sappy and sweet, and a little bit like paper, too. She inhaled if it deeply, "ooh, the smell is amazing. The food must be delicious if the place just smells good like this." She wondered if they ever smoked any of their food. "Mmm, hey," she looked back at Bullet, "I bet you're hungry," he certainly looked like he'd been working hard, "let's get that food put together before we go on that tour." She looked back to Zhulie, letting her lead to the kitchen, "show me how to make your favorite dish?"

Trinity Stratos
Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

@Lunarlord34@Silver Fox

Damian and Karn both gave her hugs, which she returned. Damian was busy with something, as ever, but he stopped long enough to respond to her. He had an announcement, which... Wasn't something that completely surprised her. She'd been a little bit involved in the construction, herself, actually, so she knew something was going on. This made sense, and though she was having a pretty good day, she found it a little difficult to put together the energy to cheer. She couldn't help but feel a little left out on some level, and she could only really blame herself.

A guitar caught her attention and kept her from tumbling down into those depths. She put a hand idly on Karn and looked around. Damian mentioned that ridiculous masked band that'd been going around for the past year and a half. They weren't bad, but why masks? "Oh, you're kidding..." Sure enough, it was guildmates. That masked band was from her Guild. There they were. "And who's that on piano? What I am, liver?"

Seeing Rajah get punted lifted her spirits a little. Sassy, arrogant thing. Trinity jumped up and caught the flying cat, getting her in a secure hold. "Gotcha. Now... Hold, please." She gave the Exceed to Karn for just a moment, dug in her pocket and found that collar she'd been keeping for just such an opportunity. It was complete with a tag saying 'Please return to Jasmine Lockwood at [blah blah blah address]'. With some deft hand movements, she'd fastened it on Rajah's neck. "Thanks, Karn." Rajah was picked up from Karn's arms and Trinity started scanning, "now, where's Jasmine..." There were never far from each other. Just her luck, the slayer had just come in, and promptly started to cry over Penny. Before getting scared by Nolan.

What's so scary about Nolan, anyway?

"Jasmine~" she cooed, before holding Rajah out to her, "I got you a cute pet! Make sure you train her properly."

Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

@BlackMaiden

The sudden embrace from Amaya certainly caught the young man off-guard, awkwardly just sitting there for a moment as he took a moment to process the contact. In fact, that was a lie. He seemed to be frozen on the spot for the entirety of the hug, barely able to grasp what was happening right now. It was a good thing he was sitting down, otherwise it would've been very difficult for her to hug him like this. He finally reacted when Cecilia sat atop his head, frowning slightly but otherwise not saying anything to the cat. He wasn't sure what it was about his head that Cecilia liked, but she liked to use him as a seat. And like, the cat wasn't that heavy so it didn't mind the young man thus the lack of a complaint, but it did puzzle him nonetheless.

"Ah...yeah, always good to see you as well." Realising he hadn't really said anything, with his brain seemingly failing to work after the unexpected hug, he managed those words with a bit of an awkward tone. Luckily for him though that awkwardness mostly got covered up by the music that now blared throughout the guild-hall. Glancing towards the stage, he was very much curious as to what the hell was going on over there. But honestly, he had a rough idea so it could wait till later.

The more pressing issue right now was that Amaya was talking about a festival and asking him to go with her to it....once more his mind just seemed to break apart. Festival...with Amaya. Better with people that mean something? He couldn't believe what he was hearing. She really had changed a lot over the last two years!

"Ah...sure...I mean yeah, of course I would love to! Sounds like fun." Snapping from his daze, he went to energetically nod his head but stopped just before he would. Right, he had a cat sitting on him. Probably best not to throw her off. She might claw him by accident, or do even worse.

"After all, you mean a lot to me as well."

There wasn't many things more relaxing than a stroll through the forest just outside of town, or at least to Manami there wasn't. Only things she could think of to top it would be a relaxing hot bath or hot spring trip, or maybe some small talk over a cup of tea or coffee. And a few biscuits or scones or something of the sort to go down with the hot beverages. Hmm just the thought had Manami craving a nice fresh cup of caromile or honey tea, or maybe jasmine or oolong. Honestly, even some cheap tea wouldn't go astray.

At that thought, she decided to cut her little stroll short, looking over her shoulder to see where Shiro had gotten herself to. The younger lady was always close by, even if Manami had invited her on the little trip she knew she would've tailed her. She had known Shiro too long to not be able to predict her movements, and sure enough she was strolling just a little further behind. It wasn't that Shiro was pretending not to follow her, she had scolded Shiro enough about it that there's no way her loyal friend would want that again. No, she seemed more intent on taking in the surroundings, but not to partake in the beauty of nature like Manami. More like, scanning for threats and other such pointless thoughts.

Manami sighed. She couldn't blame Shiro for the paranoia, but even after all this time here in the Silverbrance Glade she hadn't relaxed once. If she didn't know Shiro so well, she would be concerned for her well-being with her being so on edge all the time. But she was was like this, so no use worrying about it.

Gesturing to the white-haired girl that she was heading back to the guild-hall that they had basically been calling home for the last few months, Manami increased to a brisker pace. It wouldn't take them long, only maybe twenty minutes, before the guild hall came into view. Or rather, the tree that made up the guild-hall. It truly was a sight to behold, no matter how many times she had seen it by now she couldn't help but stand and admire it for a few seconds. Though as she went to continue, her gaze locked onto the group approaching the tree not that far from herself.

"Shiro, be a dear and head back to the guild-hall ahead of me. I'm sure Meredith will get some tea ready if you ask her."

"...."

"Please."

"...Fine, but do not take too long."

"Thank you, you really are a sweetie Shiro~"
"....."

Silently, Shiro shook her head and went ahead as asked. Now alone, Manami clasped her hands together and moved to intercept the trio, taking a moment to let a wide grin form, albeit a somewhat noticeably forced one.

"Ah, Zhulie dear, did you have to go and retrieve young Bullet again? I do wish he would stay in bed and rest, or do as he was told for once in general. Meredith won't be pleased with him." With long, elegant strides, Manami approached the group with her head tilted and resting on the palm of her hand. "Oh? And you even found a new friend? A pleasure to meet you, I'm Manami."

While Manami talked with the group that came in from outside, Shiro was already slipping into the guild after taking a moment to observe her surroundings. There seemed to be a few groups scattered about, but she didn't even register most of them. They were insigificant and didn't even deserve the brain power. The only one she was interested in the moment was Meredith, and so she made her way to the bar just as Henri began his nut catching trick.

"....You're awfully proud of your plain woeful display of skill, or lack thereof, Mr Baptiste." Came the short and sharp, icy cold tone of Shiro's voice as she strode past the seated duo of Argus and Henri, taking the next stool and promptly sitting down without even a glance their way. "Lady Manami asked me to request some tea Mrs Clagnan, so whatever you have in stock at the moment will suffice please. She isn't overly picky on her tea." While her tone didn't change, her words certainly shifted greatly as she talked to Meredith.

"Ms Pesta also seems to be dragging that annoying pest back, along with bringing a guest along. So maybe an extra pot of tea in case they wanted some as well."

Just like any other day for the pyromancer, it began with a late start. No doubt by the time most of her guildmates got to the guild, she was only just stirring from her long slumber. Kicking off her blankets and blearily glanced over at the window, narrowing her eyes and mumbling about the bright light filtering in through the dark coloured blinds. Of course it would be bright though, it was past noon. With a yawn and ruffling of her hair, Ash slowly slide out of her bed and stretched her arms out wide. God her head hurt. Maybe that drinking challenge with a few of her fellow mages last night went a little too far, but she was never one to turn down a challenge. Unless it involved swimming or the sort, fuck that noise! She would rather sprint through town doing a handstand stark naked.

Groggily making her own to her bathroom to have a shower and try to wake up even a little bit more, she couldn't hold back the content sigh as the absolutely steaming hot water washed over her. No one on earth bar Ash would ever have the shower turned only onto the hot tap, but this was the only way she could use the shower without freaking out, so who cares if she used all her hot water in one go....not like she had to share with anyone else.

After her shower and getting changed into her usual attire, she supposed she should go and check out if there was any new jobs at the guild. Sure, she had only returned from a job like yesterday, but she was already itching for a fight and by this point, there were very few in the guild who wanted to spar with her. At first, there were plenty of keen challengers and accepters of a challenge from Ash. But it didn't take long for a lot of the...weaker minded guild members to reconsider such plans in the future as she proceeded to absolutely body the majority of them, her over the top aggression and lack of ability to hold back giving a few of them some less than desirable results. Of course, there were a few in the guild that could go to to toe with the former dark mage, and even a few she couldn't beat. But that just drove her even further, fueled by the challenge of beating someone like a Hunter instead of just going a few rounds and eventually losing.

After-all, once she could beat them, she would be better placed to beat that old man.

She could try Enma? That was someone she wanted to fight for a while, since their days in Frenzy Plant really, but for one reason or another they hadn't gotten round to it yet. Today could be the day? Who knows, she would have to see if he was even in town first. Or maybe Hunter could be down for a bout. Irregardless, she would have to go to the guild hall to find out what her next move at any rate.

After initially starting out like a zombie, by the time she got to the guild-hall her trademark, aggressively energetic smile was plastered all over her face as she 'lightly' kicked the doors open. Sure, she could've pushed them open like a normal person. But it was so much more satisfying to hear the loud bang the doors made when she did this, and everyone in the guild hall was sure to know who it was by such an entrance as well. "And what's going on here eh? Got bloody half the guild over er' so must be important." Upon entry, the first thing Ash saw was the small gathering near the front and sauntered on over, a deep chuckle escaping her as she leaned her elbow atop of Enma's head during Keiko's barriage of questions. "Hahaha finally got a fangirl did ya big guy? Congrats, told ya there would be a weirdo out there who would!"

"Hahaha...ha...ha....but seriously, who's the kid?" Wiping a few tears from her eyes as her laughter died down, she pointed down towards the white haired girl. Ash had either not noticed observer, or was ignoring it. Either possibility wouldn't surprise anyone. "Prince find a stray out front or something?"

One journey after another it seemed. After her first year away for training Ariel have been in town until a couple months ago. She'd taken up the offer of someone that had spotted her earlier to be featured in Sorcerer's Magazine. Setting set up for all that took quite a bit longer than she expected. There was paperwork to sign, regiments to go on, and many many outfits to try on for shoots. Speaking of which, Ariel's appearance was quite a bit different than when she was last seen. Her magic proved to be particularly difficult given her changing magic. Her outfits had to be custom weaved along with the usual tailoring in order to receive the color changing effect. Thankfully they had her previous wardrobe to reference. Her hair was now much longer which more dramatically displayed her magic. She defiantly stood out way more than last anyone saw her.

Flying back into town she carried along with her a girl she'd met on her way back from Oak Town. They'd had the chance to chat and the girl had wanted to come along. For the time being Ariel instructed her to follow along.

Switching out of her Exceed magic Ariel headed straight for the hall. Her new companion surly following close behind. Pausing for a moment she gathered her excitement. Aside from those that may have seen the magazine this would be the first time most would see the new Ariel. Pushing the doors open she stepped into a bustling Phoenix Wing. Many of the members were here and she had arrived just in time to hear Damian's small announcement. Scanning the room she spotted the group around Nolan. Of course that was the direction she started heading, greeting others as she did. "Hello everyone!" She had to call out a bit louder than usual to be overheard as she approached.

Walking right up to Nolan she gave him a kiss before anyone else could interrupt her. "Sorry I'm a little late. I had to help someone who wanted to visit the guild." Taking a step away and brushing her hair back she gave a little twirl to show off her new look. "What do you think? Took a little getting used to but I think it works, yeah?" She gave them all a smile and waited for their responses. She wanted to get this bit out of the way first. Mostly because it was bound to come up early on. It was a rather obvious and striking change from her typically more reserved choice in dress.
