He watched momentarily as the Super Saiyan transformation was demonstrated. Obviously it was some kind of power up, but he'd hesitate to call it a true transformation. That term usually implied drastic changes to the body, like one of his or Freeza's transformations. The only thing that appeared to change in this instance was the hair. Well, perhaps he'd get a better gauge of what the power was capable of once they were on a mission or in battle. And preferably once Ovaan had procured himself a new Scouter as well. Speaking of which, Ovaan resumed his ascension into the air.

"I see. Well, perhaps you'll be able to demonstrate in full in the field then?" he gave an apologetic bow in mid air, "But for now, I have a Scouter to replace, so I'm afraid I must excuse myself for the time being."

He took off at a faster speed after this. This location was nearby a city. Or, at least, the remains of a city. Good, this was very likely the place he would find a new Scouter. After doing some brief reconnaissance he was able to locate a shopping district. Here there a variety of stores, their signs indicated what they used to sell. One in particular showcased some martial arts clothing and battle armors on display dummies. This had to be an equipment shop, and thus the most likely place to find a scouter. But Ovaan found so much more than that.

The store had all different sorts of armors and clothing. They were labeled to come from different eras and planets. Even the armors appeared to vary in style to resemble the common styles of armor in various eras of history. Some were branded with a "TP" logo that had an arrow circling the letters. Others had been branded with the logo of the Freeza Force, Ginyu Force, and even some presumed factions that Ovaan had never seen before. Very interesting. And, of course, there were scouters. Most of the models appeared similar, or at least resembled the designs from various points of histories while also bearing various color lenses. In fact Ovaan was able to find one that matched his scouter almost perfectly in terms of its appearance and colors. Unfortunately it wouldn't possess any of the modifications that Ovaan's previous scouter had, and he likely wasn't going to find someone else like Qit who could recreate the modifications. Still, it would have to do.

When Ovaan turned it on, he found the Scouter to be displaying in an unknown language. It took some fiddling, but he soon enough found the language settings and was able to toggle the display to his own language, "Ah, that's better." he said to himself, breathing a sigh of relief. For once he didn't feel like he was stumbling around blind. Unfortunately, none of the communication channels were responsive. This meant that either his team was out of range, or what the Kai said was true and they really were all dead. While it wasn't exactly comforting, it was at least some kind of confirmation of the information he'd been given thus far.

But it was his further exploration of the shops that really piqued Ovaan's curiosity. In particular, these "Capsule" gadgets that appeared to be able to store anything one can imagine in a pocket-sized container. Supplies, equipment, even entire vehicles and buildings could be stored in one of these and deployed on the spot, or at least that was what Ovaan gathered from his investigations. Fascinating, and quite in-genius too. He could only imagine what he and his men could have theoretically accomplished with such a resource at their disposal. And that was not even mentioning idea of traveling through time. It was never said by anyone, but only the mere mention of the phrase "Time Patrol" gave all the necessary implications. Did the Kai really possess a means of traveling through time? Of course, Ovaan thought! That was the solution! Perhaps time travel was the way to prevent the destruction of the universes? It had to be better than simply giving up. All of this made Ovaan curious as to where the time travel vehicles were stored, but he decided not to pry. Best not to anger the immortal and presumably all-powerful gods.

When the next day arrived, Ovaan appeared at the appointed meeting spot. He had spent the night in a Capsule Ship that he had procured during his exploration of the city. Quite the vessel. It wasn't as large as a Freeza Force vessel, but it was supposedly much faster and could even alter the main room's gravity settings by an order of magnitude if the ship's owner felt so inclined. At first Ovaan had thought such a function was merely so that an occupant could set the gravity to match their home planet for the sake of comfort, but soon realized just how high the settings could be turned up. He had a hard time believing there existed any viable planet with that kind of natural gravity. Instead it was the presence of some basic training equipment that tipped Ovaan off to the true purpose of the gravity settings. And he had to admit to himself that such an idea was very intriguing.

During the night, Ovaan had tried out the increased gravity, turning up the gravity until his body started feeling the weight and slowing down. He saw the setting had been 50x Earth's Gravity. Earth, as in Garron's home planet. Ovaan had never been there but based on his interactions with Garron he had a decent idea of what the natural gravity of that planet was like. This could be very useful, and Ovaan was determined to make sure this ship remained in his possession.

"Good morning." he said, trying to be as pleasant as he could. In truth his brief stint with gravity training last night had left groggy this morning. But that was no excuse not to mind his manners, "I trust everyone's... business yesterday was a success? I collected quite a haul, myself." he revealed four small, square cases in his possession. There were about two dozen Capsules in each one, "One has spare armors of varying styles, you never know when disguises will come in handy. One contains food and water supplies, we won't do anyone any good if we're dead from thirst or hunger. One contains spare scouters and any medical equipment I could find, all the power in the universe means nothing if we've no means of communication or patching ourselves up. And the last one contains an assortment of portable facilities for setting up bases of operation on the fly. And course, one specific capsule contains a rather comfortable space-worthy ship." he had a satisfied look on his face. He'd always prided himself on his ability to plan ahead and be prepared for anything. And universal destroyers or not, this mission would be no exception.

Although it didn't show on the outside Mia was feeling pretty useless at this point. She didn't like feeling useless. She wasn't used to feeling useless. And yet here she was. The whole thing would have been aggravating if it hadn't been so funny.

Seriously, just a short while ago she was awake, hyped and feeling pretty good about her self. And now the blue guy was here with enough supplies for an army and pinkie literally rebuilt the entire city while they were asleep. Again... she rebuilt the city. Compared to those two all Mia had to bring to the table was tetanus.

A short muffled giggle left her mouth at the thought. Seriously, now all it took was for someone to show up with a barbecue and a keg and the day would be complete.

And thus her smile was genuine.

Yaksha's first night in the Time nest... had been bittersweet. Sleeping in a ruining place was quite a challenge on his own, but nothing he could not fix by focusing a little and setting up a tent worth of a Prince with what was left of his magical power. Confident it was snug and and warm enough, he set out to find supplies. He pondered...

What kind of supply would be needed the most considering half of the team was battle freaks? Healing items. The supreme Kai, Chronoa, had set quite a lot of stores, but something among them caught his attention.

"No way, they could grow this many Senzu Beans?" He said, as he weighed the storage dispositive. A capsule. From Capsule Corp. He recognized the craft. Probably Dr Briefs and Bulma of many timelines had made a killing with these kinds of devices, being exclusive sellers to the Time Patrol? Yes, that was the name of Chronoa's taskforce, according to Supreme Kai Shin. He scratched his head. He was not going to look a gifted horse in the mouth, and they would provide a good backup should they run out of magical healing.

So he set to hoard all of these seeds he could find. He was thankful none of the invaders ever realized the importance of these seeds, or else his fights would have dragged a lot longer.

Now, if someone could fix the cackling pink maniac remodelling the city rubble in modern art, he could sleep at peace. He resigned himself to the evident. This was such a makeshift team, as he entered the tent. They would need to do some team bonding, perhaps even before they set out from the first mission. The Supreme Kai had warned him about the volatileness and liability of Saiyans, and something needed to be done.

Yaksha smiled. He was sure he knew one major weakness a lot of these fighters had, and stood all night meditating to gather energy and concocting his plan.

The wafting smell of coffee, freshly brewed invaded his nostrils as he set towards the place they were gathering, and eyed those gathered. "Hm. Freeza-kin, you really do outdo yourself. These will be handy on the future. Also good job, Majin... I guess" he said, taking one set of capsules for himself. "I also stocked up on Senzu beans. If you haven't heard of them, it's an Earth speciality and one of the best healing items of the universe." He added, producing a small hoard of these capsules. "It will be a boon."

He then grinned, unleashing the plan. He had woken up earlier for this. "By the way, I am going to get some breakfast, if you do not mind." He said, while pointing at the buffet that had appeared not further away from their position. Saiyans could be easily tamed with enough food. And none of these species seemed namekians, who thrived on water.

It would also prevent accidental poisoning from the Supreme of Kai's Universe destroying cooking. He had heard that much.

"I made a buffet. We should fast, for we are undertaking missions of great importance." The earthling said, as he gazed upon his handiwork of magic, gathering materials and ingredients, and cooking. There were all sorts of breakfast foods in there, but Yaksha was partial to fresh pancakes.

It reminded him of his princely meals, once upon a time.

Well that just happened. Seriously, Mia was impressed. Seriously, fully impressed. In the past 24 hours she had witnessed omnicide, interdimensional travel, explosive planetary disassembly, hell, proof of intelligent alien life not descended from cows, proof of existence of the legendary kai and a strange pink girl literally reassembling a giant city in an evening... But you couldn't exactly eat any of those. And after last nights "sleep" and her adventure this morning with a can of cold, scorched baked beans she would have given her horns for a cup of hot coffee. And boy did that kid deliver.

Now this didn't mean she had to like him. The brutal way he stepped on poor monkey girls feelings back yesterday was just inexcusable no matter his mental state. And she was sure he was in one just as they all were. It just didn't excuse things. But right now was not the time for such thoughts.

Rather it was time for coffee...

As Darbin arrived he landed and took in the sight of the academy building a rather intensive repair was underway but it will take awhile to come back to its full splendor it would seem. Regardless it would seem the others had gone through some of their own business in their own way. The green soldier found himself wondering just how exactly did they find all of this stuff? If the intent was to destroy the town then they had done a rather awful job of ruining its supplies...it would seem everything from food, to other supplies was still here thankfully. ""I just caught up on some sleep. I was in the middle of a war when I came here the rest did me well. Food would be nice but I will not take anything not freely given as a gesture of good will towards the Kai, and the dead." he stated out loud as he looked over the Frost Demon's supply. He took a deep breath and looked at him nodding however quickly stating his follow up thoughts. "Well done in the supply hunt though you've done well and I am impressed. I couldn't have done it better myself given the chance. This city must've lost more supplies than I can count, or the other who attacked this place simply was sloppy in its scorched world policy.."

"I pride myself on this sort of preparation. When you're wanted for treason against Freeza, this sort of skill becomes a non-negotiable necessity for staying alive." he said with a short bow, providing the slightest of hints at what his life had been like in his own universe. He was thankful for the chance to eat an actual hot meal. For he and his men, standard rations were generally the only things they were afforded the time or opportunity to eat. So needless to say, it had been quite some time since the last time he was able to eat a meal like this.

During all this, the green one had arrived and also complimented Ovaan on his work. He also made a remark about the amount of supplies that appeared to survive the destruction of the city. That thought had crossed Ovaan's mind last night as well. But he had come to a conclusion that he would now share, "I thought the same thing myself, at first." he said, but then pointed to the capsule devices, "But I believe these things managed to survive due to the peculiar capsule devices they were stored in. The only things that were not already stored in these capsules were the armors and scouters. The capsules containing buildings, food, water, and the ship had all been previously stored in their respective capsules. I can only assume that whomever attacked this city had no knowledge of these devices and thus had no way of knowing that such a bounty of supplies could survive the destruction."

He picked up the individual capsule containing the spaceship, "What a wonderful invention, these devices. Just imagine what one could accomplish with entire fleets of ships and vehicles, or entire buildings stored with supplies all quite literally in their back pocket." of course, that also hinted at how much more terrifying something like the Freeza Force could have been with such technology at their disposal as well.

Velona didn't know what to do. She didn't want to be alone, but she didn't know any of them all that well yet. Not enough to request sharing a room. It didn't help that deep down a part of her did seek solitude so that she could order her thoughts. She found a slightly mangled tree behind some tall buildings and leaned herself against it. The temperature was comfortable enough, and she'd had worse sleeping arrangements in the past.

Sleep didn't come easy though. She could occasionally feel the pink, squishy one flitting in and out of her sensory range, doing... something. Every time she popped into her bubble it startled her. Eventually Velona decided that if anyone wanted to hurt her, they would probably blast her from a distance anyway and so shrank her bubble.

Then, before long, her bubble dissipated altogether as sleep claimed her regardless of her will.

. . .

"Hi, I'm Velona," she bowed her head slightly. Any other time and she'd have just sprinted away, but... this person was new. No, not just new. There were plenty of people she could have found that were new. This one was unexpected. Months ago the Freeza force had forcibly occupied her home, leaving a group of people she'd learned were called Saiyans to guard them.

She didn't really know what to make of it. Things had been scary for a few days, but now it was over. None of it really affected her as far as she could tell. She'd been told to stay away from them, but... this one was just so small. He(?) was even shorter than her.

"I'm... Roman..." He spoke haltingly.

"Where'd you come from? I haven't noticed you before." Velona, being the obstinate and precocious child she was, had a bad habit of skirting the edge of the Saiyan territory. There was sector of the city that had been cleared out and taken over by the occupiers, with their ships landed nearby. Not once, on any of her curiosity fueled expeditions had she ever noticed a child.

"I..." Roman rubbed his head, as if he was a little bit dazed. "I woke up... recently. Umm... was born? No..."

"Silly, you're way too big to have just been born. You must have been asleep for a long time." But... why? She was eventually able to pry the information from him that he'd been in some sort of pod, apparently since he'd been born. Seemingly the pod also slowly imprinted information into his mind, hence him being able to speak, even if it was a bit slowly.

Velona found it funny. In a way, he was just a big baby, but he was walking around in a suit of Saiyan armor. Extra funny being that he was at least half-a-head shorter than her. Big for a baby, but really not all that big yet. Of course, her interrogation eventually got turned back on her. It was only fair. He honed in on her blindfold, finding it strange. She of course thought it was strange the Saiyans didn't wear them. Then again, if none of them did, didn't that make her strange to them in return?

"So, um, what do you like to do?" she asked him.

". . . what?"

To be fair, she wasn't sure what she'd expected.

. . .

It hadn't been entirely true to say that the occupation hadn't affected her. She was only a child, so no one really paid her any mind, no, but as time went on it became apparent how subdued everyone else was. They flinched at the sight of Saiyans and shied away. There was a dreary atmosphere to be found when hanging around her own kind.

Thus, she found herself more and more often dragging Roman off to play with. She found more joy with the child of those who had seemingly brought such a stifling atmosphere upon them than she did with her own kind. Roman was curious and willing to follow her lead. She liked the feeling of being in charge, and it was fun to watch him change as he spent more and more time outside with her.

He actually sounded almost like a normal person now when he talked.

She made the mistake, however, of getting too caught up in the moment. One day she walked with him back to his home. She didn't even make it all the way to his house before they were confronted. It was the one big rule when spending time with him: it had to be just them. Saiyans wouldn't tolerate her, and her people wouldn't tolerate him. There was a swath of the city between the Saiyan territory and the rest of the city that was largely deserted. Much of it was rubble that no one seemed to have any plans to clean up anytime soon.

It was a little strange spending so much time in the destroyed areas of her own home city, but she'd grown used to it.

Too used to it. She'd gotten careless.

"What do you think you're doing? Is this where you've been running off to?" He was a gruff man. Unlike Roman whose tail tended to swish idly behind him, this Saiyan's tail was wrapped firmly around his waist. His armor was bulky and square, making him look larger than he was, but he was hardly compensating for anything. He probably could have crushed her between his bicep and forearm with a casual flex.

"Father. Yes." Roman nodded, not looking nearly as intimidated as Velona felt. Fortunately her blindfold kept her eyes from betraying her fear. "She's been showing me the nearby area."

"Don't waste time with such nonsense. You shouldn't be bothering to associate with the locals. We've been stuck on this blasted planet for too long as it is." He scoffed. "What, are you deaf as well as blind, girl? Begone before I turn you into another crater in your city!"

Velona flinched. She turned toward Roman briefly, but he'd simply lowered his head submissively, offering no more explanations or resistance. With a slight pout, Velona took off as she'd been commanded to.

. . .

He retreat lasted for not even 24 hours. She crept back toward Roman's dwelling to find the boy sitting crouched on a slab of rubble behind the building. Velona decided to mirror him. Once she was close enough that she was sure he'd seen her, she simply plopped herself down at a distance and waited.

An hour passed, the two just sitting there. Another began to slowly tick by. Finally, Roman seemed to grow restless, glancing about. He jumped off his perch and strode over to her.

"This is borin-" He was cut off as Velona smiled, jumped up, and dragged him off by the wrist. It was a smug little smile, too.

He'd chosen her.

. . .

She felt her hair get blown back as she leaned back. Her feet danced below her, heart racing as she allowed muscle memory to take over. Lately her family had begun teaching her how to fight. Roman, unsurprisingly really, had training as well. They spent so much time together over the last year that turning to each other for practice had been an obvious development.

Roman was astonishingly strong, but Velona was just more agile. He always struggled to even touch her.

She caught and redirected an overly telegraphed punch and struck his chest with her palm. His armor no doubt kept it from even stinging, but it wasn't like she was trying to hurt him anyway. He slid back, but then suddenly a shockwave struck her. Energy flared out from him and he let out a frustrated growl before flying at her in a violent burst of speed.

She had to leap away as his fist came careening down to crack the ground where she'd been standing. His energy flared again as his eyes honed in on her once more, but she threw a hand out.

"STOP!" She commanded.

"Wh-what?!" Roman blinked rapidly.

"You could have hurt me!" She frowned deeply at him.

"So?" Roman narrowed his eyes. "We're fighting. People get hurt when they fight."

"No! We're sparring. It's just training. Hurting each other isn't allowed!" She reached out and poked him in the shoulder, earning an annoyed scowl.

"You're just afraid." He crossed his arms with a scoff.

"Fine then, go ahead and hurt me. Then we wont' be able to play, let alone fight." She somehow stared him down despite being physically unable to meet his eyes. Finally he wilted under the pressure of her disapproval. "Friends don't hurt each other, got it?" She reached out and poked him once more, this time on the tip of his nose, making him go cross-eyed and flinch.

"O-OK..." he mumbled, lowering his head submissively before her.

. . .

Her footsteps had halted. She couldn't force herself to take another step. Everything had happened so suddenly. Little more than an hour ago she'd been plotting what she and Roman would do next. Now she could hear explosions and screaming in the distance. Why hadn't they warned her this was going to happen sooner?

What would she have done had she known?

It was two questions that kept bouncing back and forth through her mind. What could she even do now that this was happening?

"Velona!" She heard her name being called before she noticed Roman's presence. She tried to extend her senses farther, but it was all... blurry -- filled with static. Each frantic beat of her heart seemed to distort her vision. "What's going on!? Wh-why is there so much fighting?!"

"I-I-" Velona was on the verge of hyperventilating.

"We've been under their heel too long. They think of us as lesser." Their words echoed in her mind. "This is what we've been training you for," her parents had told her. "You need to steel your heart."

"What should we do?" he looked to her expectantly. "Velona?"

"W-we... I..." She couldn't stop the shaking. Suddenly she felt his hands land on her shoulders. Recently he'd gotten taller, almost taller than her.

"Come on, think!"

"I-I can't!" Velona hiccupped. Roman flinched away. Velona had always taken the lead; always told him what to do or even how to think. He took a step back.

"OK..." He clenched his eyes shut. "Th-then just follow me for now!" He took another step back and then turned to lead the way. Velona's feet wouldn't move, but... slowly... her hand did.

KZZZZZZZRT!

The area flashed red and Roman fell to the ground, the back of his armor now showing a large scorch mark. He lay there, gasping and struggling for breath. Velona's knees felt weak, even as faint, red sparks still sprung from her fingers. Roman shakily got his arms beneath him, lifting his face from the dirt and turning to look at her.

She couldn't see his eyes. Even were her control of her senses not so tenuous, she couldn't see such details. She could, however, see the way his chest was still; the way he held his breath as he just stared in her direction.

"You must steel your heart."

With a choked sob, she lunged at him.

She saw him let out a breath. She saw his fingers dig into the dirt. She could see the tension enter his body.

She cried out as he flew to his feet, hand whipping out to catch her wrist and squeeze. On instinct, she surged her energy, an electric aura overtaking her and forcing him to let go.

She saw his fists clench tighter than ever before.

He charged her with a wild fury. Her feet did not dance, but frantically retreat. Each swing of his arms seemed to shake her, even though they missed. Her senses became muddled as she felt each strike narrowly graze past her. Suddenly a sunspot seemed to bloom within her senses and then the ground at her feet exploded as energy flew from Roman's hand.

Her senses shattered as his fist flew into her gut, sending her crashing into the side of a building, her head snapping back and cracking against it. She was left winded and in agony, gasping for breath that didn't want to come. Her legs wouldn't support her any longer, but before she could fall a fist grabbed her roughly by the collar and pinned her to the wall.

"WHY?!" Roman roared at her, but she could only choke pitifully beneath his grip. She didn't need her senses to feel the heat and pressure of another energy blast forming in his other hand. The strength of his grip only seemed to increase as he shoved her harder and harder against the wall.

She didn't answer. She physically could not. Even as he demanded an answer, he left her too weak and battered to speak.

Time seemed to stop as she awaited her fate, only to suddenly and violently resume as she was tossed aside to collapse into the dirt.

"Don't... follow me..." Roman growled and turned his back on her, storming away.

. . .

Her blindfold clung to her face, laden with her own tears. She could not say how long she'd lay there, limp and trembling with her sobs. Unbidden, she clawed her way to her feet, a sudden impulse driving her onward. Slowly, her toes dragging through the dirt, she shuffled forth to finish the journey she'd started before.

It was strange how only now, when she'd been specifically told not to, that her legs would move.

The sound of conflict had faded off. She did not know what to make of that. Deep down, the answer didn't really concern her anymore. There was just one mystery that demanded an answer dragging her along. Weakly, her fingers rose to her face, tugging at the blindfold until it finally gave in and fell away. She blinked, her eyes stinging from the faint haze of acrid smoke that hung in the air.

In the distance she saw it, or where it should have been. Where Roman's home had once stood now only lay a burnt out foundation surrounded by pulverized rubble. She staggered over the crushed cement, coughing as the smoke and dust grew thicker.

She stood now, just shy of the center of the blasted out ruin. There she found Roman, sitting, his arms hanging limp at his sides, eyes turned downward and staring at the cracked and scorched floor. Legs that had been driven by some inexplicable burst of will gave way and Velona too dropped, falling to a similar position on the floor.

Her parents had been the head of her people, as Roman's had been for his. She'd known they would clash. The mystery, the question on her mind, had come clear.

They were alone -- two orphans left kneeling in a pile of ashes.

. . .

Everything melted away. Darkness came and fled, Velona's eyes fluttering open to reveal an unfamiliar sky. So that was it then. Everything she repressed while awake now sought to haunt her in her sleep? With a faint groan she pulled herself to her feet, only to suck in a pained breath and clutch at her ribs. With the chaos of the prior day gone and her body cold from sleep, the aches and pains that hadn't troubled her all too much before now screamed for attention.

She took a slow, careful breath and managed to straighten up properly. She could deal with that later.

She quickly lifted off from the ground and flew off. She made quick stop at a waterfall she'd spotted before, hovering within it toward the top, where the crashing water wasn't too rough, but still enough to wash her off and wake her up. Using a quick burst of energy to mostly dry off, she was once more on the move seeking where she was supposed to meet her new acquaintances. It seemed her fitful dreaming had resulted in her being late. She gingerly alighted on the ground, already smelling the food.

Most of the others were already there, including the ones she'd become most acquainted with and thus quickly gravitated toward, coming to a stop by Ovaan who happened to be the closest. She noticed that aside from the food, there seemed to be strange little cases lying about. No doubt she'd know what they were if she'd shown up earlier.

"Forgive me. I... overslept," she spoke, folding her arms before her and trying not to let her shame show. "So..." She had to swallow, also not wanting to show just how unbearably hungry she was now realizing she was. Her stomach squirmed and tightened in the presence of food. "Did I, um, miss anything?" On the surface she seemed as serene as always... even as her hand slowly reached out and began grabbing food, as if the limb has just grown a mind of its own.

Maize

Maize arrived to see the quite beamish Eve showing her handiwork with cleaning up the city. It wasn't the most solid of work, but it was impressive for something done overnight and by someone she was sure had no background in construction or architecture. It seemed she wasn't the only one that kept busy last night. "Good morning and I see. You did great."

It didn't take long for everyone to arrive. Ovaan revealed that he took the shopping excursion a bit more seriously than she did. She collected what was necessary, but he packed to be prepared for any and everything. She was glad that they had someone who was responsible with him. Things like that she left to Cibo, but he was gone. They were all gone. For the time being this was her new crew. She felt a bit insensitive to think of it that way, but she was doing this to avenge them. She wasn't going to let them get away with uprooting and destroying everyone's lives. "I collected a few capsules myself and a scouter. I don't need it, but I figured that since we'll be going on a mission it'd be good for us to be able to communicate if we get separated. I also found this sword. Never used one before last night, but I think I'm getting the hang of it." Of course she was being modest. She saw the sword as another extension of herself much like her ki was and with that in mind wielding it and training with it became sort of natural.

Yaksha arrived soon after announcing his haul of senzu beans from Earth. She had heard of it during her time with Frieza's Empire. But it was so far out of the way and filled with weaklings that Frieza felt it wasn't worth his attention or resources. He was wrong as he so often was. She wondered if there was someone like Yaksha on her Earth or if they actually had strong fighters occupying the planet. She sighed in disappointment. She was never going to get the chance to find out now. Not unless there was a way to restore her universe.

Her thoughts were interrupted by her nose catching a whiff of something spectacular. She glided off the ground as if she were a cartoon character following the path of the smoky aroma. She reached the spread and found herself in front of an assortment of food that she had never seen or heard of before. Was all of this from Earth? Each thing looked more delicious than the last. That was it. She was going to make it her personal mission to revive her universe and head to Earth.

Maize's stomach grumbled loudly clearly not satisfied with the "breakfast" she fed it earlier. "Alright, alright. You're getting fed." She picked up two plates and started to pile food on them. She started with bacon and sausage and worked her way up to pancakes and french toast.

To say that Tabaga had not had a good night would be an understatement. She had spent some of the night wandering the ruined city before finally falling asleep on top of what appeared to be a very large mushroom. For a long time she had simply tossed and turned as certain thoughts continued running through her head. Entire universes were being erased but for some reason hers had been spared, albeit most likely it was devoid of life considering how much destruction those black armored troopers had caused. Eventually though she had fallen asleep and had slept through some of the noisier elements of the night. When she finally woke up she saw the someone had done some repair work on the city and she could smell food but for some reason today she found she just wasn't that hungry.

The Saiyan woman followed the scent of the food and found the others already gathered together. She barely looked at the food however as she looked around for the Supreme Kai of Time. After a few moments of trying to either see her or trying to sense her he finally caught a glimpse of her coming out of a nearby building. She kept a very careful watch on the Kai as she approached. She seemed tired but at the same time there seemed to be something different about her. Her step seemed a bit lighter and despite how tired she was there was a small smile on her face.

"Good morning everyone!" The Kai called out to the assembled group. "I hope everyone is well this morning." She approached the group. The Dimensional scanner on her wrist was glowing a bright green. "I told you yesterday that I may have a mission for you today. I spent most of the night trying to figure out what we could do and I will be one hundred percent honest, I have the beginning of a plan."

She looked at each and everyone of the group and for a brief moment a look of fatigue crossed her face.

"I believe our best best is to enter Tabaga's universe and see if we can find any clues as to what caused whatever enemy we're facing to act differently. Her Universe was spared. And hopefully we can find out why."

There were certain times that Velona was grateful to be blindfolded. Like right now, with two strange saiyans nearby. It made it easy to resist the urge to stare.

She couldn't decide if it was comforting or unnerving. OK, with Tabage it was definitely unnerving... but that didn't necessarily have anything to do with her being a saiyan. Saiyans even existing were the closest thing to normal Velona had right now, but she didn't know them any better than she knew... well... any of the other people present.

It was strange how she almost felt more comfortable around Ovaan, despite him being of the same race as the person who had turned half her planet into glass. Although, on that note-

No, best to just not think about it.

She decided to focus on the Kai instead.

"Yes, I... figured as much from our conversation yesterday," Velona said in response. "But we're just the victims of all this. How are we supposed to know what to look for? How are we supposed to recognize something important even if we do see it? We're going to a completely different universe," for most of them anyway, "everything is likely to seem strange to us to begin with. I do hope your plan extends beyond sending us there in the first place."

Just because they were involved didn't mean they were any better at figuring it out than anyone else. They were just the ones who were slightly less unlucky at the end of the day.

"How are we going to handle such a mission anyways? We splitting into groups, or are we all forming a singular cohesive unit? A group this big may attract unwanted attention especially if people here aren't common in Tabaga's universe." comments Darbin as he cracks his neck. He considers the people around him, and those who have yet to arrive. He wonders if this whole group would just be one big giant eyesore, and an obvious sign that whoever ruined this city made a huge mess in the first place. "I'm not especially looking forward to running into people asking me what I'm doing with saiyans for example. My people tend to be aggressive warriors in my universe, and we don't get along with saiyans. I bet Tabaga's version of my people are either completely different, or very similar. I'm just worried about the dynamics of our team. I mean no offense to those who are here." Darbin says promptly, a bit slowly but calmly as he looks at the strange green beans he didn't know what they were but food was food.

Mia was following the discussion intently. Well, as intently as one can when stuffing one self with food and coffee at an alarming rate. Alarming for her calorie count that is. There was quite enough to go around. She on the other hand hadn't eaten properly in almost a day and was most assuredly making up for lost time. And besides, she'd burn it off sooner rather than later.

At some point though she was finished, or close to it anyway, and the time had come to chime in. Or at the very least point out the plainly obvious.
"None taken."
"And somehow I think that's, like, the point." She took another sip of coffee.
"I don't know about you guys but I am no detective. Not unless you count punching as an investigative skill. And this whole universe destruction stuff is frankly going over my head."

She had a point. Something destroying universes was not just a physical impossibility for the most part but also just a matter of logistics. I mean, how the bloody hell do you destroy a whole universe? The energy required to do so alone would need to be... universal. Mia wasn't stupid, far from it, but it didn't take a genius to realize they were missing pieces of the puzzle here. Either that or they were going up against a literal god. She hoped it was the former.

Thus, she continued "So my guess is our best bet is to go in there, find one of those whatevers that were messing the place up and hit him or her repeatedly some place soft until we get some answers. Or at least the name of the next person up to 'visit'."

"And if they happen to find us first that just makes our job easier."

She said this fully seriously, and with a honest smile that lacked any malice. It was just a statement of fact, nothing more. And yet it was exactly that which make the fact that she was talking about finding someone to torture for information somewhat awkward.

You would expect such reasoning from most of you. But you had been through wars and done nasty things. She hadn't. Not that you knew this. But even so would any of you really said it so matter of fact and without dropping their morning coffee smile? Maybe you would. In which case this was you looking into a mirror you might not have wanted to see.

Mia for her part was equally surprised. This was not exactly her usual style after all. And maybe it was this strange alien coffee speaking but honestly at this point she didn't give a bleep. She wanted some answers. And frankly some payback as well. And while she wasn't quite ready to kill for them just yet a little percussive persuasion was a line she would cross happily.

As she said this she took another long and slow sip from the cup whilst casting a careful look over the team. They knew she was right. Or at least that no matter what the plan was this is how it would inevitably turn out. How they would make it turn out...

You don't just take a bunch of really strong people and kill everyone they love without making it personal.

The Kai listened to the concerns that were brought up and did her best to answer them as best she could. She wasn't exactly sure what awaited them in Tabaga's universe since the Dimensional Scanner couldn't read into the universe itself, all it could say was that Tabaga's universe was still intact.

"Right now, we're simply going to go into Tabaga's universe and see what we're dealing with and that's it. I don't want any of you to engage in any fighting with anyone or anything. I believe the term a few of my time patrollers often used was "Recon". As far as I'm concerned you'll be staying for less than ten minutes. The Dimensional Scanner can't look into her universe for some reason, all it's been able to say is that Tabaga's universe is intact."

I mean no offense to those who are here."

Tabaga finally spoke up after Darbin finished speaking. "Sorry to break it to you big guy, but before I was brought here I'd never seen one of your people as a threat to the saiyans before in my life. We were actually on pretty good terms with your people. One of you actually set up shop on Planet Vegeta as a shopkeeper before the end. And remember, the enemy we were fighting back in my home universe didn't leave survivors. They would just burn all life from a world and then move onto the next. I honestly doubt we'll find anything alive in my universe but I'm tempted to indulge the Kai here."

Yaksha finished sipping his coffee, paying no heed to the display of gluttony of others that had been lured by the buffet. At least that seemed to pacify some people, which was integral to building spirit. Yet to his surprise, a Saiyan out of all things, had not even tried to touch the entincing food.

The same saiyan that had grabbed his neck earlier. Good grief, such a troublemaker... always standing.

He took a piece of bread and gnawed it without much care and manners, eating aggressively as ideas were traded back and forth. He was annoyed by several things that had been sail. He chewed and gulped and then he spoke.

"What do we know is these are a multiversal army, with enough troops to overthrow a multi-planetary regime. Even if Saiyans are known to ape it when it comes to management, they probably have enough enemies to drown us in a tide of never ending battles. We are few. They are many. And well equipped. We can't fight them on even ground."

"So we will use wits and smarts, and use any piece of information we can find." Yaksha said. "Besides..."

"What they have done to all of us, doesn't deserve an easy way out. I want to crush them so badly, deny their grandiose plans, and make them die, cursing in fear and confusion. Such is a fitting end for those who crush Universes worth of people. Regardless of our background, or how mismatched we are, we are avengers now. Our fists carry the conviction of trillions of deaths. We cannot afford a misstep."

Yaksha said.

"Our first stop should be a peculiarity of any given Universe. A place that is unbreachable, even for those who can use Instant Transmission, unless they somehow gain the ability to sense godly ki. From that place, one can sense the entire universe. " Yaksha said, taking a slurp of juice absently-minded. His throat was a little dry.

"The World of the Supreme Kais. Perhaps we might find others who we can liason with." He paused. He sincerely wished more Kais were alive, but even that was doubtful. "Regardless of it, if one does know the technique that attendants of Supreme Kai learn, we could instantly move to any point of the universe back and forth, and use that place as vantage point."

"Fortunately, Lady Chronoa is the second Supreme Kai I have the pleasure to work with. So I do know said technique."

The Kai smiled at Yaksha's words and began inputting commands into the Dimensional Scanner. The device flashed green twice and a soft beeping sound began to fill the air as a moment later, a large swirling greenish-blue portal appeared in front of the group. "As you can see, the portal is now open and the time is now." She said simply. "Remember, I just want you all to take a quick look around and if you see anything or anyone that looks hostile, Do. Not. Fight. It. Your mission here is to observe and that's it."

Tabaga slowly rose to her feet and stepped towards the portal and took a deep breath.

"I'm not expecting home to look like anything I remember. But at the least maybe I'll be able to put some demons to rest." She said quietly as she stepped though the portal and it shimmered slightly behind her.

Maize finished scuffing down what she could when it became clear that it was time to go. She didn't care much for the conversation before and didn't care much for the Kai's Observe Only order. She started walking towards the shimmering green-ish blue purple and turned her head to look at the Supreme Kai. "No promises. Recon missions don't typically stay recon for long. I'll at least try to punch answers out of them if it comes to it."

Before Lady Chronoa could object Maize walked through the portal causing it to shimmer once more behind her.

Titanius
[M-3]

Titanius drank in as much information as possible, which did include the food as well, though only a sampling of each item just to taste test everything. There was some more talking but then at last things were starting to move forward. A portal was opened by the Supreme Kai through which his sensors failed to pick up anything, no doubt the transference into another universe being the key problem.

"Information is the key element we lack at the moment and so prioritizing recon is a must." He said it as a reminder, but he had no idea if anyone in the vicinity would heed his words, pure organics tended to be rather emotionally based after all. Maize's statement upon entering the portal did pose quite a few problems but there was nothing to do about it now.

The main objective was to try and figure out by what mechanism the enemy was destroying universes and what was preventing them from doing so in this one. A tall order to be sure but most likely the answer would be hidden in a location not obliterated by the enemy. With his main objective firmly planted in his mind, he stepped through the portal and found himself...

Yaksha urged the temptation to facepalm. Chronoa should not have asked the help from any saiyan whatsoever. He was being proven right, as one of the uncivilized monkey girls seemed to be roused at the prospect of battle, ignoring completely the strategy. The Earthling sighed. "Monkeys..."

With a tired expression, he gave a last glance at the Supreme Kai. "I will try to stop her if necessary." He then snapped his fingers, being enveloped in the telltale cloud of Transformation magic, and coming out as someone completely different.

"Wish me luck, then." "She" then stepped inside the portal.

Given the circumstances things could certainly become dire in an instant, with a whole galaxy's timeline flayed, what kind of horrors would await them in the wreck? Was there anything even there besides the destroyers? It was a quagmire of uncertainty and doubt that kept Darbin from wondering just how exactly the Kai intended to get to the bottom of this. He was no detective, or mastermind strategist he was a soldier. All the same doubt was not something he could afford. Darbin stepped through the portal with no doubt in his mind about what he was going to do once this all came to a conclusion. He hoped it would be at least one that he wouldn't find repulsive.

Universe 193
Unknown Planet

Tabaga had arrived in her home universe expecting some differences from what she remembered but the scale of what she was seeing horrified her beyond anything she had ever seen before. She stared up at the sky with terrified eyes as her mind tried to cope with what she was seeing.

Massive black and red spheres that were large enough to fill part of the sky littered her view. Thousands upon thousands of the black armored troopers were leaving the spheres and traveling through massive red rifts that looked like massive wounds in the sky. But the thing that really caught Tabaga's attention was the large amount of bodies arriving through the rifts and being thrown carelessly on the ground before being hauled away by what appeared to be robotic spider-like creatures. The bodies were being dragged across the landscape towards massive ominous looking factories that were belching foul smelling smoke across the battle scarred landscape.

"Harvesting Chamber 1731 is now operational." A loud booming voice seemed to echo across the desolate landscape as Tabaga took cover behind a large boulder next to the portal.
