"That's right, Sir, that's exactly what he is. A kid and supremely in over his head. So please disregard my idiot brother," Tessa pleaded, a tightness to her words as she slapped Sirius' back again. Hoping he would finally get out of his mood.
It didn't register to Sirius that she had hit him again. In fact, he was far more entertained by the casual skill and offhanded childishness of The Corporal's gravity-free movement. It was fascinating and his curiosity had washed away the tension in his stance. He heard Tessa sigh something akin to relief a moment later. That snapped him back to what he had been feeling before, though now it was diluted by this new perception of the red soldier. He had to figure out a way to resolve the confusion inside himself and he figured the best option was to just be upfront.
Sirius snatched his flowing chain by the pendant haphazardly, losing his balance and beginning to spin in the hall. Tessa helped maintain his flailing, holding him sideways at first before righting him. She chuckled quietly, all the while griping for him to loosen up and stiffen out all at the same time. Once poised, Sirius latched a hand to Tessa's shoulder for balance before finding Hanson's bright eyes. He furrowed his brows, though a tentative smile lurked beneath his countenance. "No way! you can't have it-- Sir. And it's not a toy. Its important, I think... Besides, If I go down, this pretty thing goes down with me. I get the feeling its useless to anyone else."
He groaned thoughtfully, near hesitant.
Then smiled before stretching out his free hand. "Shake my hand, and you snapping at Tessa... well its space dust in my book... Sir. A-Also sorry for staring at you the way I did. The malice thing, y'know? It happens from time to time."
