Mess Hall
Tyr Fin, Everin Skye, Roose Tadmoore, Nathanial Hesse

Nathan loved the fact he had such high praise from an older soldier was a good sign for him, and an Armen as well. Having him call him his grace was a bit much, he wasn't a Hessen but its been forever since he was called such a name. When they joined the Empire such tiles like Grace, King, Prince were no longer used in Hesse to represent his family as the crown was politically destroyed and the kingdom shattered into smaller administration zone, it was easier to control them that way.

"Well, it a pleasure to meet you as well, wish I was here a tad earlier, been forever since I had proper meat." Nathan said who showed his dismay as they were feasting on to him the most divine meal in half a decade, it was also depressing to here Skye have trouble figuring out what she was calling her meal and had to correct her, "Its a steak Skye. Pork chop is from pigs, boars may look like pigs but pigs don't have the meat to have steak cuts like boars do. And if you want to compare kill counts, you would find your count woefully under mine Skye."

He was a fighter, a soldier, an assassin, he was sent to battlefields were the fighting was the most brutal "Your skills as a pilot are well known even out in Gol, but there is a reason I was top dog in combat out there" it brought him back to the days were he would run wild, stalk the enemy commanders and cause havoc behind enemy lines before the true assault would start. Some would say his kill count was a bit over blown, about two hundred. Of course plenty of them were surprised enemies who had no chance to form a defense and them them apart.

"But I hate to say it and laugh it up, I'm woefully underprepared for space combat. Three training missions is what I have underneath my belt, hate to say it but I might be a bit outmatched by those who have had experience in space. Also yes I will be deployed in the HMT, thing moves like butter in space compared to terrestrial combat." They were more sensitive as well, without gravity he has to be be more conservative with his movements mainly the HMT's main thrusters, a single mistake and he is flailing in space for a few seconds to re-adjust himself. It was something he would need to work on if they were going to be facing any Canners or Ghosts, thankfully his last training mission he did great, or so he thought not a single crash or unintended thrust.

"Also Skye, I saw what you did to that one guy in a nice outfit, what did he do to have you bash his head open? Did he fuck with your machine? Did he comment on your legs?" he was curious and had to know, also not to mess with the poster girl.

Sirius fell into the seat across from Hanson, a cheeriness hanging around him. He didn't typically care one way or the other about the food; tasty as it was, but he was sincerely curious about this crimson standout. Bright red hair, blazing ambitious eyes, and a charming speck-of-something. A clue to a brazen path and mold for his boundless self. Though he still didn't grasp why that was so important... crucial even. Tessa painted a dashing visage of his amnesia touching his memory but not his soul. Said that his need for growth could possibly be lessons from his past-life.

"Four years? wow... must've been a huge headache--And wait! a whole year?" he blurted in disbelief.

Tessa smiled. The Corporal was indeed a brute, she decided. She brought her hand down on Sirius' crown; the scent of his woodsy shampoo fluttered up. She easily took the aroma in and fell into her usual hominess. "Well that was the plan. The proper protocol actually but I wasn't having too much of that, sure he's been pricked here and there but I kept it more or less... tamed." She glanced down at Sirius, who frowned at the mention of 'pricks'. "Was it that bad, Siri?"

A long thoughtful exhale left Sirius. "Didn't get really bad till they found out I was an Innovator. The stress-exercises; I hated those the most... The brain mapping thing was pretty cool though." He played with his food a little. "Still, I'm grateful for being up-and-at-em again. And meeting, Tessa too."

"Oh yeah," she agreed with mirth. "The brain-mapping was fun." Tessa had scanned the room before making her way over to Hanson. That was how she had spotted a few associates not too far from them. It was time to give, Sirius a bit of space and collect some in-house information on him. The stage was perfectly set, a rare coincidence that she couldn't miss out on. She ruffled Sirius' hair, taking in the scent again. "In short, Sir, no. I've heard hear-say about some of the methods for examination floating around the colonies, nasty things, but in Sirius' case we were mostly gentle. The most pain we caused him was mental and that just showed us how simple he is." Finally removing her hand, she thumbed her gaggle of associates. Their conversation a slow, muted, churn in the noise. "Gonna see if they know anything about anything. Some of these 'scientists' are just floaters."

Sirius leaned back and eyed the group suspiciously. "Yeah, sure. Meet'cha later, Tess."

Tessa smiled and tapped off towards the group.

Sirius twisted back around to Hanson, once again ignoring the feeling of something not being quite right with Tessa. Crossing his arms, he fell into the curve of his chair. "Truth be told those 'exams' were pretty harsh. But its the feeling of loneliness that really got me back then." He focused in on Hanson then, a question squeezing him closer to the table. "Y'know I heard its common but when I got into the seat of a mobile suit, it felt like something was calling me from my past." A soft smile pulled his lips. He seemed childishly giddy, his hands grasping something invisible hanging inside his palms. A short pause later and he was leaning into his seat again, a little-less giddy and a bit-more collected. "Like its ridiculous but I think its really neat to feel that way. Like 'something' is reaching through the past looking for me."

"So four years? were they fun?" he asked lighthearted.

George Eltz Office > Cafeteria
Gabriel Seth

After leaving General Eltz office; Gabriel would take a moment to look through the docket of information regarding the operation, each of the ships and their potential of rare salvage finds, possibility of encountering hostile forces, and the last part that contained some information about the team he'll be working with. Closing the docket, Gabriel would head to the cafeteria to get something to munch on while he formulated plans and procedures on how the operation should go, and the type of support or counseling he should provide to ensure that the operation is a success. The success of the operation somewhat weighed on Gabriel as he realized that this operation will take place in space and not on earth, he had no experience with space let alone doing a salvage operation in space. Gabriel would release a sigh of exasperation before entering the cafeteria getting a club sandwich and sitting down at a table as he opened the docket once more and read the information in peace.

"Any regular human who comes from a pod gets a couple months of treatments and check ins before being dropped into one of the spinning cans. Your lab rats find out we're anything more and we're stuck for a year if we're lucky. I've heard of a couple of podders coming out had to be restrained, something about being frozen hundreds of years affecting such a mind designed for something else. Of course the mapping, seems all of us advanced ones have something going on up in this cranium." he replied with a tap to his head before eating as the scientist surmised pain the kid went through before excusing herself from the table. With a head tilt, he looked down, figuring the kid would follow without registering their conversation. It wasn't until he heard the kid speak up again that he looked up and listened.

Sitting up in his chair his mouth morphed into a quizzical expression before leaning in slightly. "Listen kid, it was four years up here in space. Four years of breathing in the same recycled farts and recycled O2, eating mostly minimum spiced vegetables with the occasional flank of steak," he pressed his fork into the meat and pushed further into the dish. "The people up here haven't set foot on mother Earth since the last great war, if they were ever that lucky. If things keep up like they are, they may not touch down in this lifetime. Being stuck up here, watching the administrators peer at the gas gauge and worrying about the needle hitting zero while intercepting the ones from Earth like some kind of gate keepers. The reason most of us in the pods feel so familiar within the cockpit is because odds are, you were in one fighting to kill or protect. Now look where we are, hundreds of years later and still fighting to kill, or protect." Hanson's eyes fleeted over to the scientist that left the kid unsupervised. "I've been stuck here for four years kid, stuck doing the same shit I did when I was frozen, just with less delicious rations. Fun is only had in the mobile suit. Or with a woman." Hanson let out a loud laugh as he added the final portion.

Quite frankly the two males and female scientist she had fell into conversation with were smart but nothing more than shadow-puppets for her own discretion. She considered this, even as she effortlessly managed to maneuver through their methodical conversations. Her own scientific knowledge was lacking in certain areas but she had the wit to not only get-by but to impress. Which was not as self-gratifying as knowing she was viewed as pleasant when she was truly bothered by her current situation.

Tessa had been assigned the callsign: Dreamer by Vitus itself. It was both symbolic and verbatim; the beginning of a grand idea that would start like many exceptional ascensions. The question was 'could Vitus or the minds behind the colony, take the place of Side 3 and its governing power?' She shouldn't even be considering the plan, the far-reaching ripples of such a large ambition... but was it possible? At times she knew that it was feasible but occasionally, Sirius revealed that it was more-than possible.

A sense of greatness here or an unknown-something there. A record broken and a foreseen failure turned into success.

Which was why her job was so important. Why her constant struggle between guiding Sirius to himself and molding him into Vitus' weapon was alarming, annoying, and outright heartbreaking at times. A somewhat difficult question was prompted to her by the girl at the table, Tessa smiled, somewhat on the verge of laughter. "Me and Thoma overheard some of the seniors discussing that very topic last week. What was it they had said, Thoma? do you remember?"

Oddly a cold shiver ran down her back, sending tremors up and down her. The sound of laughter had pervaded the ambient noise of conversations near and far. She looked back, along with the others of her table and spotted Sirius making an exaggerated 'X' with his arms and Hanson guffawing rather obnoxious. They all seemed amused with the show.

She flicked a suspicious glare they're way. Those two better not be talking about me, she thought.

Sirius blocked Hanson's view of Tessa, his arms stretched over his head and crossed at the forearms as the crimson-man laughed. "No way! Tessa's definitely not your type." he growled.

He righted himself back into his seat, arms crossed while processing what Hanson had said. It was frustrating considering his past, so he switched rails and fixated on the current era he found himself in. War... that word held a weight that was indescribable but a presence that felt unavoidable. It seized him and fell over him like a chorus of whispers. Technically he was a solider; fighting was his job, killing too, but he didn't have too much of an issue with that. Hanson hit the nail on the head. 'To kill or protect.' To ensure his survival, to protect Tessa, to walk his path... it all required it.

So why? why did he have an aversion to 'war' but an indifference to the facets around it? should he care about killing? Hanson didn't seem to have a problem with it either. And what of Earth, should those calling it home be his enemies?

Resources was the hushed word that came to mind then and it jumbled up the entire direction of his thoughts.

He tilted his head, eyes closed, brows frowning in contemplation. A vein forming from his temples. He shook his head not even a second later and with clear eyes asked, rather spirited, "War is kinda scary right? I mean you've been fighting for four years. It has to weigh on you. What'll happen to me when I kill someone? or when death comes for me? Is it addicting? killing, I mean." He lowered his eyes to his disturbed food, his voice less-spirited now. "Tessa says war is a necessary human function. That its 'ingrained' in our genes. Ingrained, that's the word she used but I don't too much appreciate that train of thought."

His eyes darkened and for once, his expression seemed devoid of emotion. "It twists my stomach."

Side 3

Colony Administration Room> Colony Port
Marie Wellington

After the lukewarm surmising of the rest of the colony's matters, the administrators slowly trickled out of Marie's room, not wishing to bring up the tense situation building between Theodore and Marie. Left alone, she looked behind her through the reinforced glass out into space in contemplation. The centuries of waiting to step on their ancestral home was about to end, if only the Hydrogen fleet could arrive faster. The precious fuel it dragged from the gaseous giant would allow for another great leap of progress, such as that to the moon or Port-1. If this empire on the Earth was capable of repeat rocket launches they have found the solution to their fuel problem, and may even have a chance to retire the Hydrogen fleet. After a small break simply taking in the view, Marie stood up, and called for her personal shuttle to be ready to launch.

Letting Theodore's henchman take command over Port-1 had always given her a dreadful feeling, and with the Governor's recent attempts to divert resources towards the base she was concerned he might try sending a scouting unit before support could be obtained. Her walk from the administration section to the port was aided by the rail line built into the colony's interior. It even provided her a nice view of the colony as it ran through the center shaft. A passenger and her daughter stared at Marie, the mother for recognizing her while the young girl was fascinated by her long hair and the white jumpsuit she sported. After noticing, Marie turned and gave them a rare smile, to which the girl smiled back and giggled before turning to her mom to talk about how weird Marie was. She ignored it, looking back to the window of the tram as the exterior was covered by the structure at the other end of the colony. Shortly afterwards the tram came to a halt inside the port and the occupants departed.

Along the way, Marie watched the woman head to the arrivals terminal, most likely her other half was a soldier returning from an outside assignment. She hoped it wasn't another child, the colonies already ashamed to be recruiting teenagers. Marie sunk the thought to the back of her mind as she reached an elevator for colony administrators and officers which took her directly down to their private port. THe ships here were reserved for administrators and the governor for travel to the nearby outposts, while the governor's personal craft was capable of travelling between the colony groups independently. The Ginga, a shuttle from the universal century, and with a rather unusually large cargo which they could only theorize was meant to personally transport someone's private mobile suit. What a world they held, to which some could carry their suits with them anywhere, and yet they still fell like dominos each time they looked to achieve prosperity. She was always reprimanded by the ablemen for not using the space, but it kept fuel costs down for adjustments. With her status, the flight was cleared immediately, and the shuttle began accelerating out from the cylinder to its destination, Port-1.

Port-1 Hall > Cafeteria

Ayame huffed as she left her room, she had woken up not even twenty minutes ago, later then she hoped for and all because of this double life of hers. She had been up late finishing her current song and it took longer then expected as she found a certain track in the song was corrupted and had to recreate it, then make sure the other tracks in the song weren't corrupted and had taken longer then she expected. She double checked her hair was in a bun and slapped her face with her hands to wake herself up, she didn't look pretty but passable for the military standards.

Once she knew she was good she made her way towards the Cafeteria walking with purpose, food, she was starving when she woke up and wanted to get something in her stomach before anything else today. When she arrived she looked around the room, it was decently busy, but she spotted a figured she did not want to deal with, Hanson. She has seen him in combat and met him once or twice ad well as heard the stories of this man, all not positive besides his piloting skills that even she had to admit was great. she loathed the idea of even being in the same room as him but hunger won over spite and made her way over to the table and grabbed her own food before looking for a place to sit. There was no place for her to sit down by herself, but she noticed a young man was chatting with Hanson and god knows what he could be talking about with a young man, 'Well better go save him from Seuclid' she thought as she made her way towards the two hearing there conversation she heard the young man talking about war and how it was ingrained into human genes and decided to join in this conversation,

"Forgive me for interrupting Seuclid, you guys don't mind if I join in do you? So what are you guys talking about, Philosophy?" she asked curious as she sat down next to Sirius, as far as she was concerned she was joining in to protect Sirius from Hanson not realizing they've been having a pleasant conversation the entire time.

"It's meat. The only thing I care about, and the only thing that I need to know about it is that it tastes good and that its cooked properly." Skye rolled her eyes, rebuffing Nathan's pedantic explanation of her poor meat based terminology. The last few pieces of her steak disappeared into her mouth, quietly and angrily chewed as she felt a sting in her chest at the Lion's comment.

Skye felt a small, momentary comfort as she heard Nathan admit his limited experience in space. Between her headphone draped commander and The Lion, Skye feared being overshadowed. However it was clear that it was simply a matter of shuffled accomplishments. Her Commander had more experience in space, but less kills then her, and the Lion had more kills but barely anymore experience in the void then she had been allowed.

The poster girl was beginning to feel more at ease when Nathan's question caught her off guard.

For several seconds Skye said nothing before slowly, deliberately turning her head and looking towards Nathan. Reaching a hand up she took off her aviators, eyes narrowed into knife like slits as she picked up her fork and pointed it at the princely pilot with her free hand.

"He had a fall and cracked his own head open on the floor, Nathan. So I'd advise you against going around saying stuff like that again or making assumptions. I'm also sure that you know that if he had made a comment on my legs, he'd have been taken out of the hanger in a bodybag rather then a stretcher."

Lowering her fork and dropping it on her tray, Skye pushed herself up out of her bench seat. Lifting her legs over to the other side of the bench, metal clacking as she did so, Skye continued staring down Nathan before putting her shades back on. She ran a hand back through her blue hair, breathing deep before speaking again.

"Your kill count is bigger then mine for now, Lion. But lets see how long you get to keep your bragging rights after I'm let loose up in the big black void for a few missions. I assure you that they'll be staking corpses like quart wood when I get my shot at them."

The resolution left Skye's lips in a firm tone through nearly gritted teeth. She turned her head towards Tyr and snapped an obligatory salute.

"I'll be waiting in the briefing room if you need me, sir. The sooner we can get up there the better..."

Turning from the table Skye walked out of the mess hall and back out into the base, praying the half and hour till the briefing passed swiftly...

Mess Hall >Briefing
Tyr Fin, Nathaniel Hesse

Tyr shook his head as the two bantered on about their kills and experience, knowing fighting the Gols was nothing like fighting the canners. He almost died himself on his first combat sortie, if not for a timely intervention from an ally. Now it was up to Tyr to keep these men and women alive til they came back down. He looked up as the girl addressed him, seeing the flash of eagerness in her eyes for revenge. "We should head over as well Hesse. Finish up your meal, proper manners and all." he said with a chuckle as he took up his and the girl's tray, walking them the short distance over to the recycling stand as the overhead speakers roared to life. "All troops prepare for operation, report to briefing rooms in ten. Flight crews report to launch pads for final inspections. " The message repeated four more times as Tyr looked to Lion. "That's our cue. Grab what you want and let's move." He turned and followed the rest of the flow out of the mess hall as everyone moved to their positions.

Tyr approached the briefing building, attached to the main headquarters by a hallway, with Hesse catching up. The few people trickling through the doors into the auditorium setting found their seats where they could. Towards the front Tyr witnessed General Eltz discussing with an aide on the stage with his table, most likely confirming on the slides to present. The General didn't even look into the crowd to see the Centurion when a few friendly faces approached Tyr. "Hey Fish, figured you were getting ratted out by the eagle til we launched. Glad to see you could finally join us." Code named Troll, and just like the name his face was more brutish than one would expect from the capital, and next to him was a shorter woman who was holding a big grin on her face, Teras. "Of course you'd make it to the briefing, troglodyte over here owes me some tickets. Come on, we saved the usual seats at the front with Deryk, oh?" Teras noticed the man next to Tyr and her eyes shot up, "Oh my god, is that the Lion? Are you launching too? I didn't think you would be a choice to leave the planet."

Personnel Facilities > Briefing

While the jeep he had signed out had boar blood covering the backseats, Roose took solace in two facts. The first was that the credentials he had used to sign out the vehicle was in fact one of the cooks details for after all they're the ones who agreed to enable his side trek throughout the Iberian countryside. Secondly, a good rinsing would probably get it all out or at the very least the smell. After all, a quick shower with soap and changing into his combat suit had gotten rid of the stench. Surely it'll be the case for the upholstery and, more importantly, his jacket. Dear lord, did he hope that the smell would be gone after a few cycles in one of the on-site washing machines. Unfortunately, before he could find out, the call to arms had been signalled. Roose will just have to wait and see after coming back from space if his beloved will still be in one piece.

As per his commanding officer's instructions, Roose walked to the briefing room like the rest of the crew instead of enjoying the luxury of driving. It was fun while it lasted but the upcoming mission was an adventure unto itself. The assembled military personnel were seemingly ecstatic as well, with those near the front catching Roose's attention as they hollered at Tyr. Seeing as they were already acquainted, he would once again sneak up behind Tyr and listen in on the conversation he was having with, what he can only assume to be, the commander's pals.

"Maybe not my type but you two seem closer than just lab rat and scientist." Hanson sat up and crossed his arms as the kid across from him began to fall into moral quarrelling with himself. He let out a sight as the kid depressed even Hanson. "Kid, if you haven't killed yet then don't get into a slump about it before it happens. There's murder that happens in the colony between two people, and then there's killing on the battlefield. When you fly out there, with allies besides you and enemies in front of you, you won't have time to think about any of that. It's not training, the pilot across the emptiness, inside the metal coffin just like you, will be firing real bullets. If they're a true soldier they will aim to kill you from the first shot, and if you just sit there racking your head over how you'll feel after it, you'll be dead. On the battlefield you don't just fight because someone in a chair told you to, but because someone across from you wants to remove you to save themselves. You can quarrel over how you feel when you're safe in your bunk. As for your little watcher..."

He let out another sigh and shakes his head. "She must be screwed in the head to think like that. Humans fight, that's natural, because someone somewhere isn't getting his way and will want that to change it however he can. Ingrained? You'll find groups that survive without conflict for a long time. The larger the group, like a lot of people wanting to step down to the authentic ground stuck in a spinning can, the more likely someone wants to fight." Hanson finished off the cooked vegetables in the bowl, running his fork around the grimy inside. "Of course this is from an old barbarian from an age where peace was a rare commodity. In this age we're just fighting anyone who comes up in a good old rocket, I'm quite missing the constant launches of supplies and men up here to fight on against..." Hanson paused in his recollection as he remembered which side he was on now. "The enemy. Guess they don't matter anymore."

Hanson didn't register the girl coming over, a well known underground idol whose music most of the other soldiers hoarded. He had listened to the originals from his own timeline so hers were not as enticing. "Well little Izumi, philosophy is the major every soldier chooses, no better place than the killing field to mull over the complexities of life and death."

Sirius barely noticed the newcomer, her voice registered and even her presence next to him but as a whole; he was engrossed in Hanson's reply. A part of him was comfortable with admitting his hunger for 'it'; while not entirely sure what it was, he sensed it came in the form of personal expression. He felt an understanding gaining shape and that had lightened his mood. He smirked, veiling the fist he held on the table with a laxed hand.

"Ah shucks, you're no barbarian Mr. Hanson. You seem to be really smart to me. Your life as a soldier, your insight... its a guide. A tome of unique experiences. I'm impressed and excited to see where my own path takes me." His gaze fell onto his hands; knowing that beneath one, the other was trembling with excitement. It felt good to know someone echoed his sentiment about Tessa, the things she told him wasn't right. "Someday we should get in the simulators together."

Then after a pause, he remembered someone had sat next to him. He looked at her for a long moment more. Searching her eyes like he had hundreds others for that special 'jolt' he got from, Tessa. As usual, there was nothing. "Hey, I'm Sirius Free, nice to meet'cha," he said with a smile.

Gabriel Seth

Eating his club sandwich, Gabriel was in deep thought on how the operation should be procced down to the smallest detail. This operation was massive but not in scale but in how different it was to a regular salvage operation. Zero G enviorment, four different ships with potential salvage that may even include Mobile Suits, and finally a retrieval of the freighter ship. Then there's the team he will be working with for this operation, he doesn't know who these people are but they will be integral to this operation. So how he interacts with them will determine how smoothly the operation will go. When the call for the pilots to head to the briefing room broke him out of his thoughts; Gabriel would close the document folder, finish off the reminder of his sandwich throw away any trash and leave the cafeteria his destination towards the briefing room.

After a quick walk to the briefing room door, Gabriel would take a quick breath and then enter the room. He would look around at the individuals gathered here and assumed that these people are the team he'll be helping with this salvaging operation; moving towards an empty wall and leaning on it, Gabriel would wait for the briefing to begin.

"Ahh, already on first name basis Skye? See you in a bit!" he knew the risks of annoying her, but he didn't care. But he would keep the secret, even without the threat of disembowelment. When she left he went back to eating

"On your six boss, and don't worry about Skye it was all in good fun." he said after he swallowed the rest of his sandwich and followed behind Tyr who was leading him towards the Admin building he had just left. It was funny, even though he had been threatened by Skye he found it more adorable and funny then actually threatening, reminded him of his younger sister

Looking around the briefing room he mostly saw new faces, but some were faces he recognized, one who recognized him as well, "Hey there Tear, yeah I've been chosen to launch as well. It was quiet in Gol when was snagged by the General, the constant combat was fun and all but I will not be missing the cold that's for sure. So how does it feel to be back home, If I remember correctly you grew up around here correct?" he asked Teras with a smile, they had both been part of the eastern front and had met a few times in between combat. It was great to hear someone else he recognized was here, maybe catch up with her after the mission.

As she but in she could tell it was one of THOSE conversations, where they were in there own little world and don't pay attention to anything until they were done chatting. So she waited, and listening in on the conversation she was surprised this was the most civil conversation she has seen from Hanson, mostly he was brash or rude. This was different, maybe he wasn't as bad as she thought he was? Were these rumors of him wrong? Best to find out about him herself.

"Corporal Ayame Izumi, Mobile Suit. Must say Seulucid never thought you to talk so civilly, especially with someone so," she paused as she looked at Sirius and could tell he was no soldier "Pure? You finally find that heart of yours?" she asked playfully, she may have been going a bit too far with Hanson with the jokes but felt like it was worth it before the mission started,

"But enough poking at Seulecid, I haven't see you around Sirius Free was it?" she asked curios about this young man and why he was here, and she has been here for years and he is a new comer. "You don't look like a soldier or a maintenance worker, so what brings you here to PORT-1?"

Tear nodded her head in agreement to Nathaniel. "Of course, there's no place like home after all! My mom made sure to fill my arms up with bread by the time I had to return to the barracks. You missed out on it, if only you came here two days ago. I'll have to take you over to get more after the mission." Tear looked back to the room as more came inside. "We'll have a good chance of everyone coming back if you're here. The canners have been getting nastier with each incursion." Tear let out a sigh and her grin shrunk a little in remembrance of the numerous losses over the past months.

Ulesses turned his attention to Tyr with his arms crossed. "Lack of my good food for the week aside, the hawk said to throw you up front once you arrive so I guess he missed telling you something. Deryck already briefed up the new guys who came to the barracks before you start to worry about them, although the general hasn't announced the lead for the operation. Don't suppose he told you?" Tyr gave a single nod to confirm it before speaking. "Actually, he promoted me to Centurion, I'm leading Team Delta until further notice." Ulesses took a good moment to process the information before letting out an "Oh. OH. Congrats little fish! Swimming up stream again, no wonder the general ordered you up front, don't dawdle." The capital man gave Tyr a pat on the back to send him to the front.

Briefing
George Eltz, Tyr Fin

George Eltz stood on the slightly raised stage looking over the information on his tablet for a final time before the images were shared with the team. With the unpredictability of the debris belt, these images haven't been shared with them until the presentation because of the reviewal of the information. A final check done, he plugged the tablet into the wall next to the large display, changing the image on the wall from an empty abyss of black, to a slide showing the Empire's mantra and a confidentiality clause. While George viewed it as useless, some in the intelligence branches believed there could be Colonial sympathizers in the Empire, despite having practically no ability to remain in communication with any colony outpost they've located. Intelligence just wanted to be a nuisance, and have their name paraded about. George turned around just in time to see the newest Centurion walking up to the front through the rest of the pilots and support crew of the rockets.

"Good, you're not late. We'll let the rest rush in before you start. I will make the first address and then it will be yours. You've sat through enough to have no troubles explaining the operation." George surmised as he looked to the young man, the same stoic face shown on the General's face as usual. The General looked out to the crowd, noting the presence of the Lion and his propaganda girl assembling in the crowd, with the face of the scavenger also standing out to him.

Port-1 | Hall | Cafeteria
Sirius Free & Hanson Seuclid & Ayame Izumi | @veenknight343 @Phoenix347

He had decided after hearing her tease Mr. Hanson and somewhat inspect his presence, that she was insanely beautiful. There was a different kind of pressure gnawing at the back of his head now. He figured that Tessa was beautiful but he never felt such an awkwardness or tension prod on him around her. He blushed profusely... then tilted his head back, closed his eyes, and exhaled gently.

Weirdness wrangled in, Sirius twisted in the chair to face, Ayame, not quite invasive but obviously piqued by her assertion. "You don't think I look like a solider? I actually get the feeling I'm a great pilot and I haven't even had my first sortie yet. I was recruited due to being a Innovator." Agitation flashed across his face after realizing the assumption he put forth. "Though don't let that fool you, I'm more than just my fancy genetics. I'm actually pretty good, phenomenal even. I've broken records over at Side 3, using my precious Neodu of course."

He chortled remembering the glee of piloting his suit. He looked at his food and his laughter faded; two or three mouthfuls were missing from the platter. That, oddly enough made him think of Tessa. So he looked back to where she had been and seen her gone. That wasn't unusual, she tended to disappear after a time of being with him. He chewed his lower lip, worry touching his eyes. "I guess to answer your question... I'm here to protect what I can. To fight this...this war."

Port Alec

Briefing

"Tama! Why Didn't you warn me of the time!" Exclaimed a young woman racing down a corridor waving around the various staff, apologizing as she continued her dash.

"No Schedule! No Schedule! Sorry! Sorry!" Called the robotic purple ball rolling after her, managing to keep up and out of the way of the various personal they dashed past.

Amaya Yashia or as many know her, 'Dr. Yashia' was late for a prompted briefing. Had she not stopped on the way from the medical bay to re-evaluate her colleague's work on some noble rich brat's head and the near strangulation from the overseeing general to the same patient. She might have been on time.

Amaya wasn't one for politics of this era. She was still trying to learn of the world she woke up to a few months earlier. Everything was different, and it was strange for the girl. Somethings seem advanced from what she knew while other things regressed? Was it maybe devolved? She couldn't quite put something on the correct wording to phrase what she has observed and learned.

She finally reached the briefing room. Amaya was winded hunched over, trying to catch her breath. After taking a few deep breaths, She straightened her personnel Unifrom under her white lab coat. She quickly tied her hair into a messy bun before scooping up the Robotic ball heading inside. "Now power down, Tama." She whispered, prompting the robot's sleep cycle. Knowing the ball would probably interrupt the briefing. Amaya took a leaning position, against the wall, near the door. She held the robot against her left hip before setting it down by her feet.

In truth, Amaya didn't need to be at the briefing; however, she needed to learn all she could about the empire and society as a whole. Plus, it never hurt to learn about what was going on around the base and find all the possibilities she might need to be of use. Who knows, it just might be fun.

Briefing
Nathaniel Hesse, Teras Yiloc

Nathan knew of the Canners, the spacenoids who the empire have been in conflict with for the past few years. He didn't know it was bad, he wonder how many people have been lost before he was snagged by the General for this launch. Judging by Teras's expression it hasn't been great on there end, but also a chance to show his skills

'This is sounding worse then I thought, well no taking it easy for my first launch... Not that I'm not taking this seriously. But lets not disappoint the other, especially the General'

"I got your back guys, and doubly for you Tear so I will be able to take you up on offer for fresh bread. Now comon lets get the good seats before they are taken and we got to sit in the back." Nathan winked and put on a big grin on his face to help cheer Teras up as he made his way up towards the front row of the chairs and took a seat. He was hoping this would be quick so they can launch ASAP, but knowing the General this would take over an hour so he would have to get comfortable.
