I had my fingers slammed in a door a few times as a kid. The first time I was little and it was a car door.

Turn the clock back about 8 or 9 years. The same son was with me at a store. We go into the parking lot. I open the trunk to put my purchases away. He is standing next to me. I go to close the trunk. But before I swing it shut, I look down to insure his fingers were out of hte way. As I am in full swing of shutting the trunk, no time to stop it. He inserts his fingers in the way and they get slammed into the trunk like in your situation.

Oh wow.

@Gunther
Oh wow. That must have hurt!

For me, it was a passenger door. My dad didn't see my hand there. He didn't even realize, or knew, until I started screaming my head off. You can bet I hated him for a bit after that(remember...I was a little kid).

Ugh...I'm just cringing thinking about it. >.<

Anywho, I just recently discovered how to make a Bolognese sauce. It's more or less Italian stroganoff.

Yeah. It hurt. I could barely even bend my fingers for a while, if at all.

Even though i am in my adult years, i still cringe at the memory.

It's why I am a bit iffy about having my hand anywhere near the hinge areas of doors to this day.

Once, very accidentally, I stole a magician's street show by pulling a giant Snowball out of a claw machine right next to him. He was none too happy but the crowd was quite pleased.

(Pier 39 at SF so there was a large crowd of mostly tourists.)

I was once at a Lamb of God show in Dallas where during the song Black Label the crowd did the wall of death. For you nonmetal heads, that means we split the crowd in two and when the song began we ran at each other full force. Anywho, there was this kid (about 15 or so) across the way from me. I could tell he had never been in a wall of death as he was freaking out. He tries to run away when we start running at each other then suddenly this big Viking looking dude with a beard grabs the kid and throws him over his shoulder and just charges headlong. Funniest thing I've ever seen at a metal show!

I played the trumpet in HS. Years later, I played in a community band. THat was fun. Now it has been more than one decade since I played. My daughters and I are now in a ten person ensemble and it is so much fun. On a side note, I can now play the trumpet rif in Burn the House Down by AJR.

The only instrument I have ever played in my entire life, close to well, was the recorder, and I was a little kid back then.

Back in the early 2000s when I was a young teen in middle school or high school, I had a shirt that said Charmed Forces. Super cringe, I know.

Back in the early 2000s......some of those, many actually, are days I wish I could erase from my memories.

Back in the early 2000s, aside from some days I wished never happened, life was good for me. I was just a kid playing Ocarina of Time on my N64, no worries other than how frustrating the Water Temple was.

I finally watched "Without Remorse" on Amazon Prime Video. It was OK. I do like Michael B. Jordan as an actor. He kicks ass. I just wish they had followed Tom Clancy's script and made John Kelly (aka: John Clark) a Vietnam Veteran rather than a modern era veteran. But this works too because with John Krasinski playing Jack Ryan and many of Clancy's books being about both characters, they could team up Michael B. Jordan and John Krasinski as Clark and Ryan in some other flick. And of course, the ultimate would be when John Clark is assigned the role of Rainbow Six, Commander of an international team of Specialized Ass Kickers.

It's been way too long since I've had a good night of sleep. So I've been pretty low on energy lately.

But I'm less than a week away from getting the keys to my own house. (And I'd like to hope that statement remains true.) So that oughta perk my mood up a bit, when all is said and done.
