Keep things interesting in camp...

The mere thought had a small, almost shadow of a smile dancing across her lightly glossed lips, and she refrained from chuckling. Keeping things interesting while everyone was gone... it wasn't a hard sell. In fact, in her own opinion anyway, it wasn't exactly something that was very hard to achieve. Even if you followed a routine of sorts; no two days were ever really the same in camp. They always had their little surprises. And while she was sad to so much as think that her friends were all leaving to go on dangerous quests, there was that little part of her that was excited to see what was going to happen during their absence.

"..bad timing..?"

Giving a light shrug of her shoulders; Adeline let her head drop back until she felt the firm surface of the window sill resting against the back of her skull. Fingers curling and uncurling in a slow repeditive motion as she continued to gently stroke her pet's fur. Her gorgeous blue eyes lingering in the direction that she could hear her brother's voice coming from, "..I don't really think that it's too strange or out of the ordinary... there is always more than one quest going on at a time, especially during the summer. If there wasn't any quests at all, then I'd be worried... well, I mean... more than I already am... I-... I think it's just because there's a lot happening on the first day... everyone is only just coming back to camp..."

Join him in things that he liked, or even bring him here..? The sigh that escaped Octavia's lips was slow, and she slumped further down against the tree they were both leant against. It was definitely a thought, though it wasn't as though she hadn't tried- on the contrary, she'd tried to get through to Talon on multiple occassions, and in multiple different ways. Nothing ever seemed to work, but... she was willing to give it another go. Besides, what was the worst that could happen; he punched her in the face..? Wouldn't be the first time, and she was pretty sure it wouldn't be the last either.

"..I guess..."

Hand lifting from her side; she ran her fingers back through her long dark locks. Brushing them back and off her face before allowing her body to fall gently to the side. Head drawing to a tilt, and it wasn't too much longer before she brought it to a rest over his shoulder. Her vibrant forest greens slowly closing as she curled into him for the comfort that she knew for a fact he would give her. Despite their rather... rocky start; she knew she could always rely on Cyrus. He'd been there for her from the very beginning, and he was stubborn enough that she knew he would be there for her all the way through to the end as well. It was all just a part of that funny little hero complex he seemed to have.

Superman was definitely a fitting nickname for him.

"..the tower was over and Dionysus dropped a bomb on us..." Voice soft, almost nothing more than a mumble; Octavia eventually opened her eyes. Staring out at the forest that spanned before them, though it was clear that she wasn't exactly paying any real attention to anything that was there, "..dad has accused Erin of stealing my step-mother's dove... she has seven days to return it, or he's going to kill her; though I'm pretty sure the camp is ready to wage war against him if it comes down to it... add to it the fact that a large number of campers were just called to Dionysus' office for what I assume is another quest... and on top of that-..."

Pausing a moment, letting another sigh, softer this time, pass out through her lips, she lifted her head. Letting her gaze meet with his, "..on top of that... remember the guy I was dating in New Rome..? Aurelius..? Well, he showed up at my cabin door today... and I don't know what to think..."

Girls with mother issues was a foreign subject for Damien, because he couldn't relate, or didn't find himself relating to it. The truth was that he had an amazing relationship with the women in his life, especially with those who weren't directly related to him or didn't have any sense of familial significance to him. His mother was a godsend and one of the strongest people he has ever known. Persephone was someone he didn't think would be so kind to him, but maybe it was their distinct dislike of Hades that made it easy for them to get along. Of course, Erin was someone he was massively protective over.

And then there was Sera and ALina. Sera was someone who he enjoyed sparring with. She may have gotten the one-up on him today, but he'd get his revenge on her sooner than she realized. Alina was fun and a likeminded individual when it came to the concept of relationships (spoiler alert they didn't care about monogamy).

But dead mothers? Yeah, Damien couldn't relate. But then again, maybe he could? It was weird, but he almost found himself identifying with that need of wanting to spend time with one's mother. Hell, if his father wasn't such an omnipotent, all-seeing prick of a father, maybe he could just...go see his mother right now.

Kalinda, apparently, didn't have that luxury.

And damn it, Damien actually felt sorry for her. Not the kind that came out as pity, but a genuine remorse for someone who wanted to make things right.

But he hated that she was expressing some kind of regret for feeling that way.

"Damn it, stop saying sorry for something out of your control!" Obviously, that hit a nerve. "What kind of stone do you want for her? Do you want any special engravings on it? I mean, since we're in a graveyard and there are plenty of empty gravestones, I can get it done for you, well.." He expelled out a small laugh and raised up his right arm, extending it to the side. The palm was open and fingers faced towards the back of the graveyard. A magical rune appeared on the ground three paces in front of him and behind his throne and about ten skeletons with pickaxes and various engraving tools arose from it. "Just tell them what you want and it'll be done."

"Sire, what is it?"

"Good news! You won't be sacrificed today! Instead, Kalinda here will tell you want she wants to be engraved on that there headstone and you'll do it." Damien stared at the empty eyes of the souls of the dead that possessed skeletons with parts of the skin still on the bone. "Fail and then I'll sacrifice you. To Onyx!"

As if on queue, his black pitbull-looking hellhound made his presence known and struck the fear of their sire into their barely alive eyes.

And then they walked up to Kalinda. "Mistress, what would you like for us to do?"

Could this day get any worse..?

First she was losing Brandon to a damn pigeon; and now-...? Lost in her own mind; Ky’ vie let out a heavy sigh. The soft little beeps and chirps from her Vector as it attempted to gain her attention, though it was doing little more than falling on deaf ears as she absentmindedly spun her pencil. Her gaze staring blankly at nothing in particular.

Work was supposed to be a distraction- something to help get her mind off of the worry that had been tugging at the end of her every thought. There were just so many names being called- too many names for it to be something so easily mistaken as trouble from some simple childish pranks around the camp. No. They were being sent out. And along with the campers already going out on this big quest-... There were just so many of them… and there were just so many things that could go wrong. It wasn’t as though it was a secret; it was simple fact and common knowledge.

More demigods equaled more danger.

Snapped back to reality by the sound of a familiar voice calling out to her; forced back from her thoughts, Ky’ vie sat herself up. Her lips parting slightly at the seam as she gazed towards the main part of her workspace. More visitors..? Her siblings she expected; Brandon she understood… but who the hell else managed to make their way into the bunker..?

Placing her pencil down on the table as she twisted on the stool; she slid off it and back onto her feet. Surprise crossing over her features as she let herself follow the sound of her name, only to have her gaze fall upon the figure of one of her best friends, β€œ..Brynn..? How the fuck did you get in here..?”

It wasn't long before Brynn could see just how different Corona's and Ky'vie's work spaces were. Where Rona's level seemed to be strewn with several blueprints, tools and a good handful of unfinished projects, Ky's level seemed to have a certain kind of order to it. Everything seemed to be laid out in it's own special place. Sure there were a few, what seemed, forgotten things littering the work tables.. but you definitely wouldn't have trouble finding what you were looking for, though she was sure there was some method to Rona's bunker level madness.

The dark-haired daughter of Athena was busy eyeing the exceptionally large spaceship that filled up quite a bit of space in the room she was in when she picked up footsteps approaching, turning her head still eyeing the ship a moment longer before they too followed, landing on Ky'vie. She was right. A wide smile spread across the girls lips, mouth opening a bit as she began to say something but Ky beat her to the punch, quickly shutting her mouth again. Brynn bit down on her lower lip shyly, brushing a strand of loose hair behind her ear before she spoke up.

"Oh, well... your sister brought Pierre and I down to her level, and I.. well, I heard the news and just wanted to, you know, come check on you. Made a calculated guess. Since there are only fifty floors, there was only one thing to do. Flip your favorite number, obviously." The brunette shrugged her shoulders, slipping her hands into her back pockets as her eyes began to wander around the room again.

"Honestly, I think I'm a little hurt that your sister who I hardly know invited me here first before you invited me." Brynn once more turned her grey eyes on her best friend, giving her a playful sneer.

β€œDon' read too far into it. I haven' even let Grey down here.” Relaxing, visibly, as she slipped her hands around and down into the back pockets of her shorts; Ky' vie made her way forward. Closing the gap between her and one of her two best friends. Of course Rona, of all people, would be the one to let Brynn loose in the bunker; not that it was a bad thing. Hell, the company was nice to have, especially at the moment, β€œ..woulda done it eventually... but I will admit it's nice you're here.”

"It's alright, I know it's not personal. Even if you never did, I wouldn't mind. You know that." Brynn flashed Ky a small smile, turning her eyes back to the projects around her. "So, what's been your latest obsession?"

β€œElthree - my artificial intelligence...” A small smile crossing over her lips; Ky' vie's eyes seemed to sparkle slightly as she answered the question. Her passion for her work shining through as she spoke to her friend about one of the things she loved most, β€œ..she's is my next step when it comes to finishing up the Falcon. But she's going to be far more diverse than just that. Beau is going to help test out her limits as a more personable A.I - kinda like Jarvis from Iron Man.”

Brynn's eyebrows raised at the mention of Ky's most recent project. The progress she'd made on it and where she planned to take it, it all sounded like so much fun to work on. A bit of a smirk crept up on Brynn's lips at the thought of the A.I.'s name. Since getting into Star Wars, she must have just gone off on a mission to create everything she possibly could from the movies. The one thing she was most surprised not to see was a blaster or two, knowing her friend well enough to know she loved firearms. Perhaps she had one and just had it tucked away somewhere. Hell, she wouldn't put it past her.

"That's really cool. Fully-functioning A.I. in the Falcon. It's too bad they couldn't make it work in the movies like that. Poor Elthree. She was my favorite from the Solo movie."

Brynn turned her gaze back to her friend, a playful smile forming on her face. "You made Elthree but not Jarvis.. you sure you're okay? Maybe it's a bit stuffy down here and you need some air." Brynn giggled softly, her features lighting up as she joked with her best friend.

Chuckling softly, her head shaking causing her long vibrant red locks to sway lightly with the action; Ky' vie show her friend a look. A definite smirk playing over her dark red lips, β€œOh, please... who said I haven't made Jarvis..?”

Arm lifting into the gap between them; she let her fingers curl and uncurl a few times. Beckoning for the girl to follow after her as began off back towards the area of her workspace that she'd actually been occupying before Brynn's arrival had caught her attention. Her hand making a half-hearted motion towards the screens littered around the computer lab, β€œIf you want to be technical about it... no. I haven't physically made an A.I by that name; but when you think a little deeper though, you'll actually come to the realization that I have made him. In order to get Elthree to function in the way that I need her to for my current project; I'm merging concepts from both Star Wars and Marvel to get the desired outcome...”

Reaching her hand forward, her fingers danced lightly over the keyboard. The practiced strokes bringing the coding that she'd done up so that Brynn could take a look at it should she wish to, β€œHe's there, just in the skeleton of Elthree... when the time comes that I need him; all I have to do is duplicate those parts and piece him together.”

Brynn smirked lightly, shaking her head at the red-haired girl as she followed her friend deeper into her workspace. The young daughter of Athena watched her friend work her magic over her shoulder, watching the screen as she spoke. Well, of course technically speaking the programming could just as easily fit to be Jarvis with a simple modification to the A.I.'s name. Brynn chuckled softly, coming up behind her friend to rest her chin on her shoulder to look at her creation.

"Technicalities." Stepping back and away from Ky, she playfully jabbed her in her side with her finger with a giggle. "I think you take this nerd stuff way too seriously. Don't get me wrong, it's very interesting. I just.. don't understand the whole... obsession behind it." There was a short pause as Brynn looked at her friend before she spoke again, adding, "Then again, what you guys geek out over is kind of like me with different types of weapons, I suppose." Brynn sheepishly half-smiled at her friend.

Obsession was such a strong word... enthusiastically passionate was a far kinder way of putting it. But either way, she wasn't about to hold it against the girl- she never could. Especially since, at this point anyway, it was more like playful banter between siblings. A soft chuckle passing through her dark red lips; Ky' vie turned herself around on the spot. Body falling back until she was resting against the edge of the table that housed a decent amount of her equipment, she folded her arms over her chest. Giving her friend a gentle smile and a light shrug of her shoulders.

β€œI dunno; I guess it's just... hard to explain... but then, my 'obsessions', as you put it, are very different from either of my brothers. So... I get your point.”

The gentle buzzing of her phone in her pocket calling for her attention; Ky straightened up slightly. Her lips parting ever slightly at the seam first before she reached into jacket, pulling it out so that she could glance over the message that popped over on the screen. A retrieval quest she might be interested in..? Brow quirking lightly as she read over the text for a second time; she let her gaze draw back over to Brynn, β€œHey... you have any clue about this retrieval quest that Grey's meant to be going on..? He just text me saying I might be interested in joining...”

Greyson was going on a quest..? Was the first she heard of it. The girl shook her head as she glanced at Ky's phone before fishing out her own. No texts had been received.

"No. I didn't even know he was going out on a quest." Brynn's brow furrowed as she stood there wondering what the quest could be that Ky would be interested in. There were a number of possibilities. Folding her arms over her chest, Brynn raised an eyebrow at Ky.

"Wanna go see what's up? He's probably already at the cabin if he's texting you. That, or they're on the move and he's trying to pull you in last second."

Okay... so, Brynn knew nothing about what was going on either. At least they were on equal footing when it came to information, or, to put it more accurately, the lack there of. Nodding her head lightly, the stray strands of her long, vibrant red locks falling down over her features; Ky' vie gave a light tap against the lock button on the side of her phone. Slipping it back into the recesses of her jacket pocket as she pushed herself away from where she'd been leaning, β€œ..yeah... Yeah. Let's go find out what's going on. Can't say the bloke hasn't caught my attention, that's for sure."

Tearing her gaze away from the girl, though only long enough to look about the monitors and take the necessary amount of steps to close the distance between where she was and where the light switch was; she reached forward and flicked them off, β€œWho knows... maybe he's finally whisking me away to England where I can get my engineering hands on that Royal carriage that belongs to his grandma.”

Imogen paused, hesitating. She had been heading to the stables, expecting Grey to be going with Erin… wanting to help with anything she could, so she wouldn’t feel so damn useless. But it seemed that Grey had been chosen for another quest…. Shifting slightly, she glanced towards the big house, nodding. β€œYou’re right, I probably should…. Quests while Aphrodite is going crazy…. β€œ Trailing off she sighed, wishing Kep goodbye as she started towards the big house, hoping to catch Grey before he was either heading in, or heading out. It appeared however she was too late as she saw Grey’s figure walking away, and sighing she resolved to catch up to him.

That thought however was interrupted by a girl- possibly new- making some sort of us, and she stopped as the bolt appeared. Deciding she’d had enough of those types of events today, Imogen turned away, cutting across the way to try and catch up with her brother, briefly debating about drowning the girl for a minute to cool her heated temper, but decided that, as much as she felt guilty on it, to leave that to Vivian who appeared to be taking someone else under their wing as well.

Moving Fast so as not to be caught out in her fleeing the scene of more new campers, Imogen was soon into a trot after Grey, ducking her head to make sure she wasn’t about to trip over a rock, a stick, her own feet, the fucking air- she really was a walking disaster- she hoped she was closing the distance.

Pierre wasn’t so sure. There had never been a quest of this extent in their time at the camp, sure there had been multiple quests at a time, but this one… this was a test by the Gods. Whatever sick game they were playing, Pierre was certain that it was for a specific reason. Sighing softly, he took a moment to respond. β€œYou’re probably right…But the last time a camper was accused of stealing a God’s things, all hell broke loose in the long run. Perhaps I’m just worrying about it for nothing.” At least he wasn’t required to go on a quest, while Pierre didn’t mind it, he wanted to stick around. Just in case.

β€œWell, doesn’t seem like we’ll know whats going on until later.” He shifted, giving a shrug of his shoulders, as if trying to shake off his negative thoughts. β€œPretty sure some of the others want to throw a party for winning the tower… Well, they did before these other quests. Might be a good distraction.”

Kalinda could almost feel the anger coming off of Damien, and she winced, waiting for it to be directed to her. She shouldn’t have come, and yet, she hadn’t been able to stop herself from doing so. Sometimes she had to wonder if she really was a child of Apollo. She was so different from her siblings, from Vivian… And that wasn’t the point of why she was here. As he spoke, seeming to lash her with his words, she flinched, closing her eyes, waiting for more. But it seemed as if he wasn’t angry at her… just her behaviour.

Hesitating, she looked towards him, frowning as she wondered what he was doing. She had never seen any of the campers summon anything, As the skeletons appeared, Kalinda wasn’t sure what Damien was doing, looking back to him. What did she want? She wasn’t sure. After a few moments thought, she said softly β€œA simple stone, she never really liked frills… I… β€œ What could she put on it? For the first time in a while, Kalinda was at a lose for even a simple poem. Nothing seemed good enough, and she hated herself all over again. β€œI… A heart… maybe something like” She took a deep breath, before saying softly

β€œyou are not forgotten
Though on earth you are no more
Still in memory you are with us
As you always were before.”

There were many things she wanted to say, but for the moment, Kalinda let that be all, β€œThank you.” She said to Damien, wondering briefly is she needed to thank the skeletons as well, not really sure of the etiquette.

She hummed their way back to the cabins, hands swinging between them as Beau and Tati walked side by side. Dirt kicked up a bit with every step, like little tiny clouds surrounding their feet. Tatiana's mood seemed to have lifted after talking with Beau; he always managed to lighten up her mood, even just a tiny bit. The boy was like a beacon of annoying little lights forcing you to be happy one way or another. Some might think it could get annoying, but he was a source of happiness and a sense of home to Tatiana.

"Hey, wanna sneak out tonight? Finally got some mugwort and skullcap." Tati looked to Beau, an easy smile on her lips. "Wanna see what would happen if we mix it with weed? Think Kareem could give me some?" Tatiana was a bit of an experimentalist when it came to mixing herbs. While her grandmother had taught her well about healing herbs, she was more interested in the results they gave when it was smoked.

So far, her favorite mix was chamomille, lavender, and passionflower. Lavender worked wonders.

"Hmm? Sure..." Beau had been a bit distracted since they left the bleachers. Tati was right; he should just get it over with. Just talk to Imani, clear the air, and move on. Dwelling on it for any longer wasn't going to solve his feelings. It wasn't going to make everything they had gone through together just magically disappear, but at least he would get some closure. Finally.

He could feel Tati's eyes trained on him, so when he finally snapped out of his little trance, he shot her a quick smile- squeezing her hand in his. "Honestly, I doubt he would want to see me. Last time we saw each other, I had my pants around my ankles with that one Apollo boy." Kareem, being the big idiot he was, had just stood there staring at them until the other boy had said something. Since then, Kareem had been avoiding Beau, and he hadn't had a chance to apologize for that ordeal.

Tatiana snorted before breaking into laughter. "Completely forgot about that!" Poor Kareem, to have witnessed something like that, Tatiana thought as she continued to laugh. She wasn't surprised, especially when Beau was just one step behind Brandon. And the boy complained about the latter.

"Seriously, you have to be extra careful, Beau." She looked at him, wiping the corner of her eyes with her free hand. "Learn from me. Never been caught once." She brushed some of her curls behind her shoulder.

"Learn from you?" Beau rolled his eyes at her. "Ma'am, did you not tell me that Kyrin caught you and Cee last week?"

"Wha- that doesn't count! He probably doesn't even remember." Tatiana rolled her eyes, looking away from the boy next to her and towards their path ahead. "And you, don't go around telling people shit. And besides, at this point, you'll dethrone Brandon as being the camp's man whore."

Her eyes spotted a green-haired boy she hadn't seen in a while looking their way. So he was back. A smile spread over her features as she glanced at Beau. "You gotta get your act together, babes. Talk to Imani."

"I told you it's gonna be difficult. She doesn't even want to talk to me." Beau sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. "But I think I'm ready." Their time apart had given him time to think, but it also didn't help that they lived in the same camp. He had considered applying for a transfer to the Roman camp, but he'd miss his brothers and sisters too much. And not to mention the many friends he had made over the past years at camp. All of the thrown away over a messy breakup he couldn't seem to get over? It wasn't worth it enough.

"Well, you should. Because I know someone, besides your Apollo boy, that might be interested." Tatiana had finally noticed a certain green-haired boy staring their way ever since they had arrived. While Tatiana didn't talk much to people outside the small circle she had formed that consisted of her siblings and Beau, she was an observant girl. She saw things, things that she liked to keep quiet about until the right opportunity arose.

"Seriously, this person is soooo much better. I don't even know that Apollo's kid name!" She had never bothered to ask, but then again, Beau had never bothered to mention his name.

"Lance." Beau looked at Tatiana then around them, trying to spot who she was talking about. Of course, he didn't have to because he already knew. "His name is Lance, and uh, it's nothing serious." He finally spotted Kep looking their way before snapping his head back to the girl next to him after he finally processed what she had said about it.

He was not a man whore.

"Excuse me, I am not a man whore. I am simply a whore."

"Same thing, dude."

"A whore with standards."

"Very low ones, it seems." She rolled her eyes, pulling him along towards Kep that was practically staring at Beau. Seriously, life in this camp would be so much easy if people just talked. Use words! Beau wouldn't be in a six-month heartbreak if he would just clear things up with Imani. Just be directβ€”no need to beat around the bush and dwell on things for so long.

It just stresses you out.

Maybe Tatiana could start selling some lavender blunts laced with weed. Those things would sell like crazy.

"Hey! That is so rude!" Beau glared at Tati for a second before realizing he was being dragged towards Kep. He had to swallow his next words just as they stopped in front of the green-haired boy.

"Welcome back, Kep." Beau pulled his hand away from Tatiana's and brought it up to his neck, smiling at the boy in front of him.

"Nice to see you, Kep." Tatiana crossed her arms over her chest, glancing over at Beau for a second before turning her attention back to Kep. "I'll let you both talk," she winked at him before turning to kiss Beau on the cheek. "See ya later, Beau. Don't forget around the weed for later." She patted his shoulder and shot Kep a wink before turning on her heels and walked away from the pair.

"Don't mind her." Beau let out a small nervous laugh before stepping next to Kep and wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "Glad to finally see you back! How was it out there? Enjoyed all the nature-y stuff?" He wanted to hear all about Kep's adventure. Beau had never been much of a listener, but something about the way that Kep talk made him fall into a sort of trance that just kept Beau's mouth shut, and he was able to actually listen.

"Maybe I should go with you next time. Get away from camp for a few days, my sister some peace and quiet. And so I could get away from Tati's herb testing on me." Beau made a face at the last part. The last time Tati had convinced him to try a new potion of hers, Valeria had to reverse the side effects. The side effects being not being able to talk.

And Beau loved to talk. It had been a nightmare.

A looming aura seemed to follow Vi wherever she went, she carried a box full of scrap metal parts that did look like it had zero to no use, courtesy of the Hermes' kids. As she moved through the grounds, the other campers immediately made way as she strutted her way through the grounds heading back to her cabin, people simply did not want anything to do with her since she was a little... aggressive. She slammed down the box by the door of her cabin and dusted off her hands. She crouched down, rolled up the sleeves of her gray and black flannel and started digging through the box. She looked through the items and did not see anything useful for awhile, she was then interrupted by a random Deimos kid.

"Hey uh... Violet." The guy said, quivering in his boots; Vi then looked up from the box and slowly stood up, turning to face the guy. She kicked the box and it made quite a loud sound that surprised the guy and he let out a small "Oh Gods" as he flinched and took a step back. Vi then leaned her hand on one of the support beams of the cabin and looked at the guy. "C-Can I uh... H-Have m-my... Uhm..." The guy said stuttering on his words, nervous out of his mind.

"Your what?" She said, with a very scary tone and a piercing stare. "M-My Shield b-back." The guy replied, "Do I look like a Hephaestus kid to you?" She asked sarcastically, "Y-You took it f-from me w-when we..." "When I won against you during the spar?" She continued in her very aggressive sarcastic tone. "W-Well, y-you fought good that day." He added to try to sway the conversation to his side, "So I usually fight terrible?" "N-No! I-It's just-" He started fumbling with his words as Vi started walking towards him slowly, he was backing off matching her pace, "That I just got lucky and won against you that day? Huh?" She continued, he continued to fumble "N-No, not at all! I just-... Just-... Forget it! Keep it!" He exclaimed before running off all scared like.

Vi smiled a little and went back to digging through her box. After awhile she realised that none of it was what she needed right now so she decided to give it one angry kick before walking over to the Big House just to see a blonde with a golden lightning bolt symbol over her head. She raised her brow and crossed her arms as she walked over seeing that this girl was a little bit in the way especially with the lightning everywhere. She walked up to the girl, and in true Vi fashion, spoke her mind.

"Hey Thunder thighs! You blind or somethin'?!" She yelled out, "Clearly you're one of the three, unless you actually know less than a dead horse." She said, she then walked by her to see this other blonde girl who she's never seen before talking to other campers by the door of the Big House, she walked by the girl and she spoke. "Hi! I'm Claire." The girl said holding her hand out, but Vi just brushed pass her and said "Don't care." Without even making eye contact with her, she then peaked in the Big House to see if she could have a chat with the ones in charge but judging by everyone else leaving the Big House, it was a big no no. Vi usually would not care but invoking the wrath of Mr. D isn't exactly something that would help her.

She looked at the man who actually was helpful to her and gave him a smile. "I can come back later, I'm not really in a rush." She added before he continued, he then motioned over to another girl as he introduced himself to help her get Claire get settled in. "I'm Claire, I shouldn't keep you waiting, quests are important! " She exclaimed with positivity, not even needing to wish him luck since anyone could see it in her face that she is being very supportive of their quest. She then turned to Vivian and gave her a quick handshake, introducing herself "Hi hi! I'm Claire, I'm a hunter of Artemis so she kind of requested I stay in that cabin thingy? I don't actually know, Lady Artemis was being very vague about coming here."

A girl then walked by her and she tried to introduce herself but that dark looking girl did not seem to pay any mind to her, especially since she just yelled at the other girl who was causing quite a loud commotion with her thunder. Demigods are not exactly a surprise for her anymore since she has surprisingly met quite a few while on the hunt. Greyson then said it was wonderful to meet her and she simply yelled back, "You too! Good luck on your quest!" She turned back to Vivian and giggled a bit as she added "Well I guess to you too since you're part of the quest." She said, trying to really spread the positive vibes since the two other girls were very not positive.

"So! I don't want to keep you waiting any longer since this looks like a very important quest for you guys so you can just take me to the cabin thingy and I'll figure everything out myself as not to hassle you!" She said, she knew the difficulties of a quest and the amount of stress it brings to a person and their team if they have one. By the looks of things, the big ensemble meant this was a big quest that probably involved going quite far, so she really did not want to keep this girl waiting any longer.

"Okay Mister D, but I really think tha--" Slam. The door shut right in the satyr's face. With a heavy sigh, the young satyr turned away from the Big House. Before he could even set eyes on it, Sawyer caught the scent of fresh rain and could hear the pitter-patter of it hitting the ground. The weather was always sunny in camp, though..? It didn't take long for Sawyer's eyes to find the girl quite literally storming up the path, heading right for the group now dispersing from the Big House. The unfamiliar blond stopped only a few feet away before screaming something, something cut off by a rather large bolt struck down on the ground that forced a shrill bleat from the young satyr.

He rubbed at the back of his neck sheepishly after nearly jumping out of his own fur as he looked over at the girl who was clearly scared, stepping forward from the rest of the group that seemed to hold themselves back. Had he paid any more attention to anything or anyone but the girl in question, he might've actually laughed at the use of Violet's "Thunder Thighs" nick. Instead, the young satyr approached the blond girl very slowly, holding his hands out in front of him. As he drew closer, he noticed the symbol above her head appear. As if that wasn't obvious.

"Hey there. Don't think I've seen you around here. I'd make a wild guess and say you're new here, huh?" Sawyer stopped just a couple feet from her, slipping his hands into his pockets as he offered the girl a friendly smile. "There's no need to be a-.. uh..." The young satyr trailed off a moment, taking into account her emotional state, he didn't want to misspeak and become a fried goat. "-there's no need to be feeling anything except safe. You're in good hands, now. This is Camp Half-Blood, love. A place for all demi-gods and demi-goddesses. Th-the only way you can even enter the camp is if you are a demi-god yourself."

Gesturing to the symbol above her head with a point of his finger, the young satyr's eyes moved back from it to meet with her own again, holding her gaze still with a soft grin. "By the looks of it, you're a child of Zeus, love. I know that.. this is a lot to take in, but we're prepared to help you get through this and come to an understanding of who you truly are." Sawyer nervously scratched at the back of his calf with a hoof, his smile turning a bit sheepish as he shifted in place once both hooves were placed on the ground again. "I, uhm.. I'm Sawyer. One of the many satyrs you'll see around camp. What's your name, love?"

Dorian Underwood

Location(s): The Big House - Camp Half Blood; New York

Interacting With: Everyone in the Big House; Pierre @MarshiestMallow

I swear I was kidding.

Just as Dorian jokingly asked if there were anymore surprise claimings and Mr. D shooed them out of the door he heard the loud sound of thunder. He knew it wasn't Zeru since he was off getting ready for Erin's quest and unless Levina somehow found out she was replaced on the quest it wasn't her. As everyone crowded over to the door and noticed the screaming blonde with a bolt of lightning over her head Dorian just wanted to get through and get back to his cabin so he could finish packing. But he knew that with his frail frame against these warrior demichildren he stood no chance of forcing his way through. So he did the only thing he could do. He used the shadows.

Dorian attached himself to the shadow of one of the many quest-goers in front of him. Someone would likely feel a slight chill down their spine as if the grim reaper had attached himself to them. It would only be temporary as he would move on just as quickly. If anyone looked down they'd see a moving shadow scurrying across the camp ground. It stopped in front of Ryley for a moment and wait was that a huntress? The inquisitive shadow was curious about what was going on with camp today, but instead of stopping it decided to continue on its way taking a turn and heading towards the cabins.

Dorian's shadow made its way to the cabins and was closing in on the Thanatos Cabin fast when it screeched to a stop and pulled a quick reverse before stopping once again in the Morpheus Cabin. Dorian had remembered at the very last second that Pierre was supposed to be going with his quest group to Atlanta. The pale and slim young man rose from the ground like a shadow vampire and walked to the door giving it a good knock. Of course a vampire has to be let in.

"Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?"

Cyrus Ray Starr

β€” Ϋ΅ ۞ Ϋ΅ β€”

Location: Edge of the Forest; Camp Half-Blood - Long Island Sound; New York.
Interacting With: Octavia RamΓrez-Arellano @Vicier

Cyrus could tell that Octavia wasn't entirely convinced of his suggestions, but he hoped the two siblings would be able to find some common ground. He had seen what it was like for demigods to continue to bottle up their feelings. It either led to them hurting the ones they cared about or getting themselves killed out on a quest because they couldn't stay out of their own heads. Though the likelihood of that happening for a child of Ares was slimmer as their anger tended to fuel them in battle, but it was still rather costly. He wished he could personally do more for her and Talon and maybe he could. Maybe the how to the equation will come to him later.

His thoughts left him the moment Octavia placed her head on his shoulder. He was meant to calm her, but her touch had a way of doing that for him. He was a guy that was always racing off into danger or to help someone in need, but whenever she touched him everything about him became as still as an undisturbed lake. Cyrus wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her just slightly closer to him before resting his own head on hers and listening to what she had to say about the events of the morning at camp. The gods were yet again blaming a demigod for one of their stolen possessions and one who wouldn't or couldn't have stolen it in the first place. The last time something like this happened the King of the Titans was behind it, but Cyrus doubted Aphrodite's dove would give a Titan the power they need to fight the gods unless that wasn't the point at all. Like Octavia said the death of Erin would cause a war and the Underworld would be joining the demigods against Olympus and a war like that would have mass casualties on both sides. Was that this thief's endgame? The death of the gods and their children?

He lingered on the thought for a bit until Octavia lifted her head from his shoulder and brought up her ex who had just so happened to be here in Camp. That calm stillness inside him? Gone. And he didn't understand why the thought of Octavia possibly getting back with her ex made him uncomfortable with a tightness in his stomach. He couldn't have been jealous. He and Tati had a fun thing going and he and Octavia were just friends... Right?

Cyrus leaned upwards and back against the tree to take everything in, including her expression as she gazed into his eyes. "Wow... I really did miss a lot this morning. I'm confident Erin will be fine. She's stronger than even she gives herself credit for. I haven't smelt Thunder Breath for a while so I'm guessing he went with her. If we're taking bets I'm calling they'll finish in five. But as for Aurelius... But it's been what, three years? He didn't tell you he was coming?" He wanted to ask if she still had feelings for him, but he had to remind himself that it really wasn't his business.

Vivian felt like she was struck by a tsunami.

Which made sense because Greyson was the Son of Poseidon, but also because as fast as her name was being called, the Daughter of Apollo soon found herself going from idle waiting to being solely responsible for showing the -- what did she say she was again? A Huntress of Artemis? Did that mean this Claire was a daughter of Artemis? Wait no, she remembered dad telling her once that Artemis didn’t birth children. She trained warriors like Wonder Woman.

Oh man, that reminded Vivian that she needed to watch the latest Wonder Woman movie. The one with Pedro Pascal in it. She’s heard mixed things, but she wanted to see it for herself.

β€œWait what was I doing again?”

BLinking a few times, she heard Greyson say to meet him and the others at the hill in half an hour.

Half an hour.

Thirty minutes.

Right. This was doable, right? Yeah, she could totally show...uhh, the not-daughter of Artemis-but-still-weirdly-relating-to-Arty around.

WAsn’t there something else her father told her about Artemis? Something she was forgetting about?

β€œArtemis...Artemis…”

A noticeable gasp escaped Vivian’s lips as she turned her confusing expression into a wide smile, grabbing Claire’s hands as she brought the girl into an impromptu hug. β€œArtemis is my aunt! And even more, she and my father are twins! So that practically makes us twin sisters, doesn’t it?” As she said all of this, Vivian was squeezing the girl so close that she thought she might suffocate her.

And maybe she did, so she let go, backing away a few steps. β€œSorry!” She gave the girl an apologetic expression. β€œI...can get carried away sometimes.” That was the God’s-honest truth and it was something Vivian was working on not doing as frequently as she did.

Nobody was perfect.

When she dialed it back and found herself brushing off not only herself, but did a mental brushing off, her hyperactiveness settled and Vivian stared at her fellow blonde, smiling at her in a normal way.

β€œDo it myself? Don’t be silly! Grey-Grey said I have thirty minutes. And, what you’ll probably be staying at, uhhh…” She tried to think if there even was an Artemis Cabin or not. She didn’t necessarily excel at this part. Her lessons in the layout of camp haven’t been great. She only knows her way to the beach because that’s her happy place. β€œI think there’s a cabin somewhere...over that way?” She pointed to her right where she saw the forest. β€œOr that might be where the tents are.”

Vivian thought and hummed for a few moments, looking away and to Claire frequently. β€œAre you more of a cabin girl or tent?” She asked matter-of-factly.

β€œ..which one of you is first..? I can’t hold it open forever…”

Brandon's eyes wandered over the others in the large room, about to volunteer himself before he heard Tyler speak up, dragging Carlos along with him. Bran almost thought Tyler would shove Carlos through the portal, as it was something he expected of the mischievous boy, but he didn't. He let him go, encouraged Carlos to follow after him, and said his farewells to Erin. Or at least that's what he imagined the boy said, as he didn't speak to Erin in English or Greek, but rather the boy's native tongue. Part of the son of Ares wondered if Erin even understood what he'd said. Surely he'd clarify later. Not that it concerned Brandon much on the matter.

Just as soon as Tyler disappeared into the folds of darkness, Carlos seemed to eagerly follow after his friend. The two always seemed to have their own way of going through the world. Everything was an adventure that they always seemed eager to begin. In a way, Brandon envied them. Much to Brandon's dismay, his thirst for adventure had been snuffed out years ago. He only ever saw quests as a job. Something to get done as quickly as possible put it in the past, and forget about it. This time was much different than the other quests he'd been on, though. He'd never let on about or admit to it, but for the first time in a very long time, Brandon Murphy was afraid. Not for himself, but for someone else. His best friend.

Brandon was pulled from his thoughts as he heard Zeru speak up, another figure becoming one with the darkness as he too stepped through the portal of shadows. All that left standing in the room were Erin, Ezra, and himself. Bran wished he had something to say. Something inspiring, to maybe help her get through the portal herself. The girl hadn't left camp since they'd first arrived just over four years ago, and now she was being forced to go halfway across the world... across an entire ocean, just to capture and return some stupid bird his father's mistress couldn't keep her bitch hands on. The young man stepped forward, shaking the thoughts circling his head as he walked over to Erin, wrapping his hand around the back of her head to bring her closer, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

"Come on. Let's get this over with," he muttered softly, giving her a half-smile before dropping his hand to turn to the portal, casting one last glance over his shoulder before walking forward into the wall of darkness.

Six. Five. Four. Three...

The two of them stood there in long silence for several moments, both seeming to hesitate to break it, but Ezra took the initiative and broke his hold on her shoulders to step around to look at her.

"I'm going to come through with you... if there comes a time you need help, though I hope you won't, I'll have somewhere to start."

Ezra's eyes flicked over to the cabin door, almost hoping to see Spencer McKnight come walking through it to make a last-minute entrance, but the longer he stood, the more it was made clear he either wasn't coming or he was going to make his own way. Part of him hoped it was the latter, but he didn't know the guy very well and couldn't speak on his behalf. Though, from what he had witnessed of the young man, it was pretty clear he seemed indebted to Erin for saving him from the clutches of Tartarus. Ezra never did hear the full story. Instead of bringing attention to the no-show, Ezra's olive eyes fell back down on the girl before him, holding out his hand for her to take.

"Do you remember what I told you we tell the god of Death when he comes calling?"

The son of Poseidon hadn't made it very far from the group before he could feel a change in the air. A feeling that made the hairs on his arms and the back of his neck stand on end. Grey tried to ignore the feeling and pushed his way further towards the cabins until he heard shouting, and the unmistakable sound of thunder crashing down into the ground behind him. The young man whipped around to see a girl with a thunderbolt hovering above her head. Another Zeus child. But how? Both Zeru and Levina were still in the camp. Zeru was going with Erin and Levina had just been called this morning. Unless Levina's summoning was for something else entirely, and she was no longer going to be staying in the camp. A light frown cast over Poseidon's son's features as he stood there looking at the new daughter of Zeus, contemplating whether he wanted to spend the time storming himself over there to see what was up. A soft, familiar voice broke his concentration.

"Grey!"

The boy's posture immediately relaxed as his eyes turned to find his sister approaching him, letting go of the hefty sigh he hadn't realized he was holding in until then. He was glad to see his sister. It meant he got to say bye before he left on his quest. Not that he was afraid he wouldn't return, but things were never certain with the lives of the gods' children. Their lives were always in danger from the moment they set foot outside of the camp. A soft smile crept at the boy's lips, closing the distance between himself and his dear sister, wrapping her up in a warm hug.

"Immy," he greeted her, speaking in a soft tone before pulling back from their embrace to again look into her eyes. "Everything okay?"

Being one of the better-skilled blacksmiths in the camp, some would even go as far as to say the best though Hayden would disagree, it was expected of Hayden to work through most of the day in the forge. There were a couple of days through the week where he was able to pass on the work to one of his siblings so he could spend time to himself, which either consisted of working the horses or spending time with Issie in what little free time he seemed to have anymore. He seemed to be late for more and more these days. Something that he truly couldn't stand was going back on his word, even if it was something as simple as a lunch date with his girl. What was a Norseman without his word? It was said that if a Norseman, a Viking, took an oath and went back on his word that his sword would turn against him and incur the wrath of the gods. Hayden prayed to both the Greek and Norse gods that wouldn't happen to him. He was trying, after all.

Hayden had spent the better half of another hour in the forge working on that sword he'd been mending when he and Issie last spoke out by the lake. Finally coming to a point with it that he was happy with it, the son of Hephaestus returned the sword to the son of Ares who'd brought it to him earlier that day and rushed himself to his cabin to get a quick shower in. Fresh from the shower with some fresh casual clothes thrown on, Hayden hurried over to Isaura's cabin hoping she didn't hate him for being as late as he was. His girlfriend had a forgiving nature when it came to most things, especially with him, though at times he felt terribly undeserving of it. The son of fire and the daughter of ice, it was as if the two were destined for disaster from the start.

"Min Bedre Halvdel," Hayden called out as he approached the cabin door, rapping his knuckles against the hardwood a few times before stepping back, waiting for her to come to the door. At one time he would have just walked in, but with Isaura's sister Astrid around these days, boundaries were a thing to remember when it came to the Khione cabin. Even if Astrid held no love or respect for him, Hayden tried to be as respectful of Issie's sister as possible, strictly for Issie's sake.

Satyr? Zeus? Demigods? Seriously, the longer people talked the more convinced Ryley was that she had actually been dragged into some weird-ass cult of the Greek Gods. Who in the hell believed that a bunch of old ass people lived at the top of mountains and could chuck around lightning bolts and stuff? Seriously. Ryley shot a look that could only be described as daggers towards the Satyr, surely just some weirdo in cosplay, and was about to bite his head off about not needing any sort of propaganda when she noticed a strange, golden glow on the ground around her. Slowly, her head tilted as she shifted her gaze upwards and her eyes grew wide at the sight of the glowing thunderbolt above her head. How the hell were they doing that!? Stood in slight shock for a few moments as another fact slowly dawned upon the girl, her mind thinking much more clearly since she had been shocked out of rage. The rainstorm that had seemingly set in on the camp as she had approached, hadn't truly set in on the camp at all. Instead, the raging storm hovered just above her own head, a small enough cloud to be a personal storm.

Her attention was stolen from the Satyr, eyes wide and the emotions from earlier fleeing the girl's body. Instead replaced by shocked silence and a look of curiosity about it all. Intrusive thoughts shot through her mind, racing to the forefront without even a hint of resistance. Thoughts she would've considered impossible, the things of mere fantasy were it even twenty seconds ago. Yet... perhaps... could this not have been some weird cult? As she was lost in this myriad of thoughts about what might be true, what might not be true, the girl silently raised her hand towards the cloud above. Curiously, as if with a mind of its own, the storm reacted to her movements. A small funnel cloud spun up, reaching down to touch lightly to the girl's fingers as if it read her intentions to touch the clouds. Moments later, small tendrils of lightning shot down from the cloud and danced along her fingertips. Yet... they didn't hurt. If anything they felt energizing, and Ryley's eyes opened wide in shock. Moments later, the cloud disappeared. At that same moment, a wave of exhaustion slammed into the young Demigod, causing her to stagger. As if that storm had taken everything out of her, as if she had been controlling it.

Her attention shifted back towards the Satyr, the look of rage from before washed away completely. As quickly as the storms controlled by her father could change, so too had her entire demeanor. Now, she wore a look of curiosity and determination. Clearly, she had decided that she would be discovering the answers to the questions dancing along her mind, and this poor Satyr would be the one to answer. As she started to make connections between the concept that perhaps the Greek Gods were real, and all the strange things that had happened throughout her life, Ryley found herself starting to believe. To believe that just maybe, what this boy had said might have an inkling of truth. A deep breath was drawn as Ryley focused on the boy, leaving another tense moment before she finally spoke once more. A calmer, friendly tone, instead of the one burning with anger from before. "Alright, Sawyer." She said finally, shaking her head as if to ward off any disbelief over the situation. "Say I believe you, even a little bit. How in the hell does this place exist, how have we not heard of these Greek Gods, and... I've got a lot of questions. You sure you're up to help me understand?" She asked, at last, her gaze asking him as much of the question as did her words.

Even as she asked that another strange sensation came over the young woman. For the first time in... perhaps her whole life, Ryley truly felt at ease. Safe. For the first time, she didn't feel as if there might be something dangerous lurking around the corner. She was safe, she belonged here. Interesting.
