"Whoever wants to go first, be my guest," Liam offered.

"That would be me," Shiranui volunteered.

“Good Luck Shiranui,” Jen said as she watch the battle to begin.

Shiranui entered the field of Hulbury Stadium to a thunderous roar from the crowd. He wore a Ghost Uniform he purchased from the local uniform shop. Nessa was on her side of the battlefield. "Welcome, honored Gym Challenger!" Nessa greeted, "No matter what kind of plan your mind may be plotting, my partner and I will be sure to sink it."
"What's sinking is the probability of you defeating me in battle," Shiranui rebutted as the jumbotron lit up to show Nessa and Shiranui's faces with three blank circles next to each of the battlers.

"We'll be using three Pokémon here," Nessa stated, "Go Goldeen!"
"Sogekishu, I choose you!" Nessa sent out her Goldeen and Shiranui sent out his Sobble.
"Goldeen, Agility!"
"Sogekishu, Mud Shot!" Shiranui's Sobble threw a gob of mud at Goldeen and landed a hit that slowed the goldfish down before Goldeen became more agile.
"Goldeen, Horn Attack!"
"Sogekishu, Mud Shot once more!" Goldeen charged at Sogekishu and struck a piercing blow. Sogekishu got up and threw another mud pie at Goldeen, leaving Goldeen muddy and slowed down to normal speed.
"Goldeen, Supersonic!"
"Sogekishu, Swift!" The Sobble jumped into the air and performed a series of forward somersaults, launching a salvo of star-shaped projectiles at Goldeen. Goldeen was inundated and went down.
"Goldeen is unable to battle, Sobble wins!" the Rotom Ref called and Sogekishu was jumping for joy before letting off a glow of bright white light, gaining 40 cm in height. The glow subsided to reveal Sogekishu as a Drizzile. Shiranui quickly scanned Sogekishu with his Rotom Phone.
"Drizzile, the Water Lizard Pokémon. A Water type and the evolved form of Sobble. A clever combatant, this Pokémon battles using water balloons created with moisture secreted from its palms."

"Goldeen, return; go Arrokuda!" Nessa switched her downed Goldeen for a far more streamlined fish that Shiranui scanned.
"Arrokuda, the Rush Pokémon. A Water type. If it sees any movement around it, this Pokémon charges for it straightaway, leading with its sharply pointed jaw. It's very proud of that jaw. After it's eaten its fill, its movements become extremely sluggish. That's when Cramorant swallows it up."
"Arrokuda, Bite!"
"Sogekishu, Double Team!" The newly-evolved Drizzile put his high speed to work and generated numerous copies. Arrokuda charged at one of the copies and bit down, causing the Drizzile it targeted to vanish.
"Bite once more!"
"Sogekishu, Aqua Ring!" Sogekishu conjured a thin watery veil that would slowly recover his health while Arrokuda charged in and bit down on what turned out to be the real Sogekishu, scoring a critical hit and knocking the Drizzile out.

"Sogekishu, return; Nekomata, I choose you!" Shiranui switched out his downed Drizzile for his Espurr.
"Arrokuda, Bite!"
"Nekomata, Thunder Wave!" Arrokuda charged at Nekomata and the Espurr floated out of the way before paralysing Arrokuda.
"Try another Bite!"
"Nekomata, Psybeam!" Nekomata followed up by firing a beam of psychic energy and blasting Arrokuda for major damage. Arrokuda was too paralysed to charge for another Bite.
"Arrokuda, Aqua Jet"
"Nekomata, Psybeam once more!" The Espurr fired another Psybeam and blasted Arrokuda with enough damage to knock the barracuda out. Nekomata let out a joyful mew and like Sogekishu before her, started glowing with a bright white light. Nekomata grew a foot before the glow subsided to reveal a female Meowstic.

"Arrokuda, return. Looks like I'm down to one last Pokémon. I've been saving the best for last! Go Drednaw!" Nessa swapped her downed Arrokuda and sent out her headliner Drednaw. "Flood the stadium and make it our ocean! Drednaw, time to Dynamax!"
"You too, Nekomata!" Both Nessa and Shiranui returned their Pokémon and using their Dynamax Bands, threw their enlarged Poké Balls into the battle like soccer players performing a throw-in. Both Poké Balls opened to reveal Drednaw and Nekomata in their Dynamaxed states.
"This is a little gift from us…I hope you can take it! Max Geyser!"
"Nekomata, use Max Overgrowth!" The newly-evolved Meowstic channelled the power of her Magical Leaf into the Dynamax move, causing giant mushrooms to grow around Drednaw and explode with enough energy to turn the battlefield into Grassy Terrain. Drednaw copped heavy damage and barely survived before launching a massive stream of water at Nekomata. Nekomata was buffeted by the water and so much water was launched into the air that it started raining heavily as if the move Rain Dance had been used.
"Drednaw, use Max Darkness!"
"Nekomata, finish it off with Max Mindstorm!" The enormous Meowstic unfolded her ears, exposing the eye-like patterns and unleashed her psychic power in the form of large ripples of psychic energy that bombarded Drednaw. Drednaw couldn't take the onslaught and thus fell over, reverting to its normal size.
"Drednaw is unable to battle," called the Rotom Ref, "The winner of this battle is Shiranui Tsukiko of Ecruteak City!"

"I may proudly be the strongest member of this Gym, but I was totally washed away!" Nessa commented, "You have an incredible spirit that may even be strong enough to challenge the Champion and in commendation of your spirit and your victory, I award you with the Water Badge."
"Thanks Nessa," replied Shiranui.
"You'll want to challenge the Motostoke Gym Leader next," advised Nessa, "As you and your Pokémon are now, he'll definitely want to battle you."
"Duly noted," Shiranui acknowledged.

Liam had done a bit of prep work while Chuck had his tongue out like he was a Lickytung. Liam walked out in his Dragon Uniform. The jumbotron now showed him in Shiranui's place.
"Welcome challenger," Nessa greeted. "I have to say getting to face two champions in the same day is quite remarkable, and not something I get to say that often, but no matter what plan you may have, I'll hang you out to dry."
"Oh, you'll see what I can do, don't you worry about me." Liam said with a smirk.

"Arrokuda!" Nessa called.
"Go my friend, it's time to shine!" Liam said tossing a Luxruy Ball out revealing a shiny Flapple.

"I see you have found a Galarian Dragon, I have to say I am not surprised Champion Coleman," Nessa commented.
"Use Bite!" Nessa called.
"Leech Seed!" Liam called. Flapple let the fish come in close and chomp, but in exchange got a clear shot to attach the draining seed to it

"Peck!" Nessa called. Flapple smirked as he quickly threw something in his mouth just before the attack hit. Peck did not seem to do much damage at all.
"I see, Flapple ate a Coba Berry to reduce the damage from the flying-type move, very clever," Nessa commented.
"Not just that, Flapple has the ability Ripen which doubles the effects of a berry, meaning Peck damage was lowered significantly. Now Flapple, Grav Apple!" An apple fell from a great height, scoring a critical hit and lowering Arrokuda's Defense however, Leech Seed finished it off.

"Arrokuda is unable to battle, Flapple wins!" The Rotom Ref reported. Nessa replaced it with Goldeen. Liam recalled Flapple for Balin the Sirfetch'd.

"First Impression!" Liam called. Balin quickly made a strike at the fish with his leak-spear. Goldeen took a good deal of damage, but made contact with Peck, doing a good deal of damage.
"Use Leaf Blade!" Liam called. Sirfetch'd got a critical hit and KO'd Goldeen.

"Looks, like I'm down to one Pokémon, I've said the best for last," Nessa said sending out her Dreadnaw. Liam swapped back to Flapple

"Flood the stadium and make it our ocean! Dreadnaw, time to Dynamax!" Nessa announced as she activated her Dynamax Band. Dreadnaw Dynamaxed and now towered over Liam's Pokémon even more than normal. Liam activated his Z Power Ring, but an observant person could notice that he did not have the Dragnium Z plugged in like normal, but the Grassnium Z. Grav Apple was channeled into Bloom Doom, dealing a great deal of damage that Dreadnaw managed to survive.

"This is a little gift from us... I hope you can take it! Use Max Geyser!" The massive water attack hit dealing a good deal of damage considering it was double resisted.

(Dyna 1)

"Leech Seed!" Liam called. the seed was launched out and wrapped around the giant Pokémon, who retaliated with another Max Geyser. Flapple was starting to look worse for wear. Leech Seed sapped some HP away from the giant Pokémon.

(Dyna 2)

"Use Grav Apple again!" Liam called, The attack hit dealing good damage considering it was against a giant Pokémon that was double weak and STAB Nessa Called for Max Strike, getting a crit and a win.

"Flapple is unable to battle, Dreadnaw wins!" The Rotom Ref announced.

Liam called out Balin again

"Max Darkness!" Nessa called.
"Final Gambit!" Liam called back. Ballin charged in struck the Dynamaxed Pokémon sacrificing itself to deal a great deal of damage, which ended in a KO and since this was a Dynamax, appropriately enough with a huge explosion. Liam ran out to catch Balin as he fell back KO'd.

"Neither Dreadnaw and Balin are able to battle, since challenger Colemen still has one Pokémon remaining, he is the victor!" The Rotom Ref announced.

"I may proudly be the strongest member of this Gym, but I was totally washed away!" Nessa said as she shook hands with Liam and handed over the Water Badge.

Jen steps onto the battle field as the picture on the Jumbotron change from Liam to her, “you are cute as my water type Pokémon. I bet your guy friends go for you.” Nessa said as Jen blush as she is thinking Aura her Lucario keeps them in line. “Let’s see who will sunk or swim,” Nessa said as she throws a Great ball as a Goldeen swims in the battlefield. “Bolt I choose you, the Goldeen is not food.” Jen said as she throws a Ultra ball as a Yamper came out running around eating sea weed. “Charge then Spark,” Jen said as Bolt chargp electricity before releasing it at Goldeen.

“Return Goldeen,” Nessa said as Bolt glows white and evolves into Boltund, Nessa sends out Arrokuda, “Crunch,” Nessa said. “Electric Terrain,” Jen said as Bolt and Arrokudo chase after other. Arrokudo bits into Bolt taking on crical hit. Arrokudo took crical damage and was Paralyzed. Arrokudo is unable to battle, “return Arrokudo.” Nessa said as Jen returns Bolt her Boltund. “Drednaw, come on out,” Nessa said as Drednaw took on some damage from Electric Terrain.ther

“Dynamax Drednaw,” Nessa said as Drednaw loomed over Jen. “I choose you Akamu Gtoot and Dynamax,” Jen said as should me throws a pokeball as a large Grookey. “Max Hail Storm,” Saiaid as Drednaw summons a hail storm as gigantic balls of ice falls from the sky. Akamu Groot takes on some damage, “Max Ovwegrowth,” Jen said as Akamu Groot summons a gigantic forest. After they attack each other they both are knocked out. They both recalls their Pokémon as Nessa walks over to Jen. She hands Jen a Water badge and a card if Jen wants to do some some modeling. Jen walks back to her frirmds as the crowd is cheering.

"Earth to Chuck," Shiranui called, "You're next."

Aura Jen’s Lucario sticks Chuck with one of her claws in him to get Chuck to get his heaadout of the gutter.

(Sorry guys, was busy over the weekend, so I didn't notice it was my post)

Chuck nodded and took his spot facing Nessa. She started with sending out Goldeen, while Chuck sent out Bond, his Sobble.

Goldeen started off with a Horn Attack, but Bond managed to get in a Sucker Punch first, scoring a solid hit, before getting hit himself. He then fired off a Swift, which scored a critical hit and knocked out Goldeen. As Nessa recalled her Pokemon and prepared to send out Arrokuda, Bond started glowing and evolved into Drizzile.

Bond was ready for another Sucker Punch, however Arrokuda used Laser Focus instead. However, the followup Sucker Punch worked, scoring a decent hit. Unfortunately, Bond couldn't withstand the critical Close Combat Arrokuda unleashed on him, and he was knocked into the wall and KOed. Chuck thanked him for his hard work and recalled him, deciding to take this a lot more seriously now, and sent out Omega, his Type: Null, and knocked out Arrokuda with a Dragon Claw. Nessa recalled her Pokemon and sent out her Drednaw, her final Pokemon.

Omega started off strong with Aerial Ace, scoring a solid hit, but Drednaw countered with Counter, dealing double damage, and a super effective hit. Chuck activated his Dynamax Band, with Nessa doing the same, and both Pokemon grew giant, with Drednaw utilizing Max Knuckle, which dead more Super Effective damage, however it couldn't withstand Omega's Max Wyrmwind and was KOed in a powerful explosion, earning Chuck the win and his second badge. Suddenly, Omega started glowing and the massive helmet he wore unlocked and fell off, having trusted Chuck enough to evolve into a Silvally.

Nessa told the heroes of the return trip they had to make to go fight Kabu. Liam mentioned they should probably go see what Chairman Rose wanted to talk to them about.

"I'm a little curious myself," replied Shiranui after congratulating Chuck on his win. There was something about Rose he didn't like and thus felt a little cautious.

Jen did not trust Rosa to her his aura was odd to her.

(Going to skip my battle since we want to keep things moving)

It did not take long for Serina to finish her battle with Nessa, as everyone now had two badges she reminded them of another thing they had to do. "Before we take on Kabu, don't forget that Master Mustard also invited you to the Isle of Armour, Mei and Cammy will be waiting for us as well" She reminded them, before once again heading off on her own due to her not trusting Rose at all.

"Alright, so first Pokemon Center, then Rose, then Mustard." Chuck said, making his way out of the gym.

“Sounds like a plan,” Jen said as she walks out of the gym. Aura feels glad to see her mom but also knows it is business.

"Hear, hear," Shiranui agreed.

At the Pokémon Center, Liam handed over his Pokémon for healing. He got an alert on his phone from the World Coronation. It was saying that there would be a Battle Festival Challenge Event happening in a few days in the following locations:

• Kanto: Saffron City
• Johto: Goldenrod City
• Hoenn: Lillycove City
• Sinnoh: Sunnyshore City
• Unova: Nimbassa City
• Kalos: Lumiose City
• Alola: Melemele Island
• Galar: Wild Area (Giant's Seat)

"That's odd," Liam said thinking aloud. "Why is Galar's in a random part of the Wild Area when almost all of the others are in a town with either a gym or Contest Hall? Ah well, we have a bit of time before that so we can go see Mustard."

Serina heard him think aloud and interjected "Probably because the giant seat is like an old arena, or maybe its because they don't want Dynamax pokemon fighting?" She said before her phone went off, three people had challenge her. "I've got some butt's to kick, ciao for now friends" She said to them with a wink and a wave after healing her own pokemon.

"I see the logic behind that," Shiranui thought out loud after hearing Selina's explanation, "Sayonara." He waved Selina goodbye in reply.

Jen and Aura wave good bye to Serbia as she got her Pokémon healed. As she became interest in the festival and wonders if she van take part in the festival.
