John sighed and rubbed his face. “We got jumped…and I think Serena took more damage then me and I was shot…” he looked at Kay and said “anything crazy happen at home?”

Serena sighed and said “telling someone who cares about you how you were beaten up…”

Chas didn't know how to react to those words by John as he walked to the front door and opened it, letting Josh in. Seeing he was on the phone also, he guessed he had Serena on the other end. "Nothing crazy no. The girls played outside in the garden for a bit and they're now up in geraldine's room doing art and talking. Think Renee is completely taken by Trish" he said, smiling at Josh, who also smiled back.

Kay looked at John back and gave him a reassuring squeeze of his shoulder to show she wasn't going anywhere.

Josh smiled not only at Chas as if to say 'thanks for letting me in', 'glad Trish has been happy' but also over what Serena was telling him on his phone. "it may be hard to do but you'll have to get used to it" he told her. "I'm at Chas' now. I'm so glad you're alright now though. it's good to hear your voice" he told her.

John heard Josh and said “guess Josh is there. We will see you guys tomorrow” Serena looked up and said “ya…it will take time. And I’m glad to hear you too…”

"Yeah, see you guys tomorrow and I'll pass on your hi to Geraldine" Chas replied with a smirk. He let John say what he wanted then finished the call, hanging up and putting his phone in his pocket.

Kay kept her hand on John's shoulder the whole time he was on the phone, a small smirk appearing on her face when John mentioned about Josh being at Chas' whilst Serena was on the phone to him. She could only imagine how weird it must be in Chas' hallway in this moment.

"Time I got" Josh replied to Serena, seeing Chas ending the call to John, "I'll call you later or something, I wanna go check on Trish" he told her.

Serena smiled then said “of course…night Josh. See you tomorrow” she hung up and sighed. “That was very awkward…” John chuckled and said “ya…” Bane smiled and said “well now that everything is sorted I must return to the shadow plane…”

Kay let them both finish their chats and when they finished she just gave a small but genuine smile. "important thing is they know you're both fine" she said before looking at Bane, "thanks for the help today" she told him.

Sam eventually came back into the room after seeing her girlfriend come back in and having given her a warning in the hallway about their guests. "everything good?" she asked the group.

Bane nodded and bowed his head, then vanished into the shadows and was gone. Serena sighed and said “I didn’t know he could do that…normally he can only do it if I summon him” John waved at Sam and said “all good. Still not moving fast but”

"Well i'm very much glad he can because he really had my back out there and I'm incredibly thankful" Kay replied to Serena as Sam came back into the room and she saw who this mysterious girlfriend was finally. SHe glanced over at Sam and the new girl when John replied to Sam and gave the woman a smile and wave. The girlfriend of Sam's gave a smile back and Kay could easily see why Sam was into this woman. Something about her felt familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it, so she decided if she couldn't figure it out she would just ask Sam in private about her later on.

Sam gave John a nod and was relieved that everyone was okay. She didn't quite see Bane disappear but she was thankful for missing anything magical happening as she did not want her partner to know any of it. "I guess I should introduce you all...This is my partner Lara who I live with, and Lara this is my sister Kay I've told you about-" she gestured at Kay, then continued talking as she gestured at Serena and John, "That's Serena her mate and John is her partner. They convinced Kay to come home" Sam explained to them all.

"Hi Lara" Kay said, "Hi guys" Lara replied.

Serena waved weakly and said “hello…sorry we are invading your home…we have had a rough day…” John sat up a little and said “pleasure to meet you love” Serena closed her eyes for a moment, a wave of light headed hit her and her stomach did a flip. She stumbled as she Rran for the bathroom and vomited into the toilet.

John tried to get up and said “Serena love you alright?”

When Serena jumped up and ran to the bathroom, everyone turned to look and wondered if she was okay. "I'll go after her, if I need help I'll hollah" Kay said, getting up off the sofa, hoping that it won't be anything too problematic, though she had her suspicions that it was just a case of the stress that was causing the problems for Serena.

Exiting the room and finding her way to the bathroom, she walked in and squatted down beside Serena, rubbing her back, "youre gonna be okay." she told her. "this is probably down to the stresses your body has gone through and stuff." she reassured Serena.

Lara didn't know how to react to everything, instead just stood next to Sam. "well that's one way to make a first impression" she said in a quip.

Serena vomited again and nodded. “I think so…oh this sucks…” she leaned her head on the porcelain. “Sorry…probably making a scene for your sister…”

John sat up and said “ya…sorry about this…how was your day Lara?”

Kay held her hair back so it didn't fall into the bowl as Serena leaned over. "shh, it's okay. You're not making a scene at all. If anything they probably are to try and get John talking" she smirked, trying to lighten the mood a little bit for her.

Lara and Sam waved their hands to dismiss his apology. "it's no problem. And so so, been at work all day so I'm wiped" Lara chuckled as she walked over to the other couch, holding Sam's hand and pulling her to the couch also. She sat down and looped Sam's arm round her shoulders as she did so. "so you're the partner of the mysterious sister Sam has told me about" she smirked.

Serena smiled weakly and said “how to I keep Josh from worrying about me…when this crap keeps happening…”

John smiled and said “more or less. We haven’t been together long but..well, I’d die for her and she saves my neck”

Kay smiled, "I don't know, I'm new to all this myself. I'm not even sure I'll even know how to stop John worrying about me either" she told her. "but one thing I am learning about this? If they're worrying then they care a lot. It's when they don't worry that we then need to worry" she told her, still rubbing her back. "but if you don't wanna tell him you've been vomiting then you don't have to. He doesn't need to know absolutely everything" she added.

Lara nodded with an impressed look on her face. "I'm sure Sam is happy to hear that" she smirked, which caused Sam give her a playful jab in the arm. "it's nice to actually finally meet everyone, even if we only knew about Kay originally." Lara continued. "I may have talked her ears off so to speak talking about how myself and Kay were as kids and at uni" Sam chuckled. "oh she definitely did that!" Lara laughed.

Serena sighed and held up her phone. “Would you text him? Give him the update…I’m too worn out now to do anything with my brain…”

John smiled and sat up a bit more and asked “so how did you two meet?”

Kay took her phone when Serena handed it to her and nodded with a small sigh. "Sure" she replied, opening up the messaging service and giving Josh a quick text explaining that she was texting on behalf of Serena and that the fight seemed to take it out of her a bit more than they thought, but she's being looked after and there's nothing to worry about. With the message sent, she kept a hold of Serena's phone as she focused back onto her. "You wanna go to bed? I can take you to the guest room?" she suggested.

At John's question, Sam and Lara looked at each other fondly then back at John. "at the local bar. I was refusing to go home from a long day at work in the office and decided that I deserved a damn good stiff drink. Turns out that same night Sam here was doing the same thing. She caught my attention straight away and a few drinks later she asked for my number and the rest I guess you could say...is history" Lara smiled.

Serena sighed and said “might be best…I just hope the vomiting is over…I’d hate to make an bigger mess for poor Sam to clean up again…” she got up and started to the door but way too fast. She swayed fell into the wall, her breathing labored. “Crap…what did that guy do to me…”

John smiled and said “and they say drinking is bad for you…not believing that one anymore. So you two got big plans for the future?”

Kay stood up and went to stop Serena from leaving too quickly, when she fell into the wall making Kay rush to her side. "take it easy. I'll grab you a bowl to have by the bed incase you need it. Let's just take it slowly" she told her, putting her arm round her to support her.

Sam and Lara chuckled at John's comment and smiled. "we'll see where it goes. For now we're enjoying living together" Sam said, which Lara nodded her agreement. "what she said. Though nothing is really off the table at the moment" Lara added.

Serena nodded and muttered “ya good thinking…man i don’t feel right…could that guy have drugged me or something?”

John smirked and said “good job, neither of you panicked. Thought it’s funny to see the panic”

Kay helped Serena to the guest room, managing to figure out which one was the guest room easily enough. "it's possible there were some kind of drug in the vines or something I guess. It's not beyond the realm of possibility. Hopefully some sleep and you'll be fine. If you need anything just give me a text okay?" she replied to her, helping her to the bed.

The women laughed and nodded, "oh we've had that question plenty of times so it doesn't phase us anymore. Think yourself lucky Sam isn't drilling you about future with Kay" Lara chuckled. "or we are Sam and Kay's folks, they're notorious for those kinds of questions. They'd wanna know everything about you and if you see a fully thought out future with Kay."Lara smirked, making Sam groan but nod. "it's true I'm sad to say. They're your literal definition of the cliche American parents from the shows. Mom is the feeder and dad is the typical man who will say he wants to chat but will clean his bow as he's doing it" Sam sheepishly smirked.
