Looks good. Also, just so everyone is aware of the flow of the first few posts, I'll give a quick rundown of the loose story skeleton I'm planning out for the introductory part of the first story arc:
There will be a quick flashback to the first conflict with Bandora, and then the story will snap forward to the teens on a school bus headed to Amber Beach, which is on the hilly coastline at the western edge of Angel Grove, bordered by McCadden Forest to the north. It is late August 2024, and Miss Kendell Morgan from Angel Grove High has been running a Summer extra credit program in the weeks leading up to the start of the next school year. This is a way for students to earn "floating universal credits," which can be applied openly towards their final credit total for individual classes at the end of the term. This program specializes in charitable work over Summer breaks and helps to motivate and incentivize students to get out and volunteer in their local communities.
So on this day, Miss Morgan has helped organize an event to raise funding for Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum, which is at risk of being shut down due to budget cutbacks. There is an open market and various events on the grounds, as well as a guided tour up into the forest to visit the Sampson Caves, which is a massive fossil dig site. The teens are asked to help bring water and supplies up to the caves ahead of the tour, but before they can leave, a massive earthquake hits, the ground rips apart underneath them, and they plummet down into a tunnel right below them. Their way back out of the caves is blocked, so their only choice is to navigate further down in search of an alternate path to the surface. Eventually, they stumble upon a large chamber with an underground lake (think Goonies), and a waterfall leading back up into a dark hole in the ceiling of the chasm.
After looking around a bit, they get hit with a few more shockwaves from the earthquake, and some rocks fall on a cloaked spaceship on the other side of the cave. The shield fizzles out, leaving the vessel completely visible, and Shelby insists they go and investigate it. As they near it, they can all feel a strange energy responding to their presence, and the door opens, allowing them inside, where the Nanosuits jump to life and bond with each of them. It's almost as if destiny was pulling them towards that moment. The commotion awakens Zordon, and he explains the power they have just received.
Bandora will take over Karone almost immediately, and our first battle will come right after. She'll use the loose rocks around the cave to make something similar to Putties, before laughing and vanishing in a puff of red mist. Zordon will then impart to them the task of finding and defeating her.
That's just a brief rundown of how I envision the first few posts going, but I don't want to rush to that, instead giving us each a chance to grow into our characters a bit leading up to that scene inside the ship. On the bus, mingling at the events on the Museum grounds, and then hiking up to the caves prior to the earthquake. It will really depend on how much everyone is enjoying the lead up, but ideally, we'll each get to do three posts of our characters prior to them getting their Nanosuits. If you imagine it framed like a TV show, then it would be like them getting their suits and meeting Zordon at the end of the first episode.
