Yeah beyond what I mentioned in my original post, the Whisper's memories along the the age and damage to the symbols makes it hard for him to figure out anything else. The Alter itself at least doesn't look too damaged though it's probably suppose to look better than it does now.

You would know two things: first that the city you lived in did not worship the Bright, nor was it part of the nation that spawned it. That's relivent due to the second thing to know: when word of the Bright was spreading outside if the nation, consuming the whole continent, it wasn't unusual for cults to pop up claiming worship in the name of power and protection.

Most of the gangs you dealt with weren't very religious. Sure some folks swore to a god and some notable members were devout, but they were street gangs, not cults. But you remember this cult, some sort of Bright cult that went about trying to convert people to join them. You never had any direct conflicts with them since they never seemed interested in controlling the city like you did, but they were still everywhere and you do remember that a lot of grubts in your command we're Bright followers, at least before you were betrayed.

That being said you don't really know the cult or how they operated. They never directly opposed you so they simply weren't on your radar. The symbols are familiar enough, but you're pretty certain your city doesn't have a quiet costal village like this anywhere nearby it.

It's always a good idea to establish a running gag as early as possible.

While I'm not personally someone who likes to use color for my dialogue, you all doing it makes life as a Kenku quite easy and amusing.

Edit: also, it has dawned on me how literally and accurately I can actually play a Kenku thanks to the Forum! Huzzah!

What would an 18 in the appropriate knowledge check tell reveal about the incoming creature?

Graham would've heard some rumors about these creatures. They're called Perytons, terrifying stag-headed bird monsters before. They hunted people near the mountains, as well as along the coast, often diving down from on high to gore people upon their horns, and then tearing them apart with it's claws. They have very keen senses and chances are it will find Yin despite her best efforts, and despite it's size it's extremely agile, fully capable of diving into a crowd of soldiers, picking them off one-by-one without giving them a chance to strike back at it. It takes full advantage of it's flying ability to stay out of range of melee attacks, and even if you're a skilled archer conventional weapons don't seem to affect it as much as one would hope.
