Captain Miracle began to slowdown from its rapid frenzy of slashes against Seo. It wasn't just because his attack was done, but also because of the Trans-AM's side effects slowing the gunpla down. If anyone decided to attack him currently, it wouldnt be a pretty sight to see.

However, he didnt have to worry about that, because the Gunplas he had been facing, were already soundly defeated. That of course being Seo, with his both his slashed up mobile armor and mobile suit. That, along with the brilliant devastating beam of the Yamato signed off the end of the match.

---

To no ones surprise, it was Jun who was the loudest, "HECK YEAH!! THAT'S HOW ITS DONE!!!!"

His roar was so loud it almost matched the sound of the crowd cheering for them. He raised his fists into the air in acceptance of their loud approval. Without a doubt, the victory was going to his head but atleast it was well-earned. He proceeded to bounce away from his battle station with a wide and bright grin. "That's right everyone, put this moment in history as the start of my team's ascent to the very top!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, raising up a peace sign with his left hand and his gunpla in the other.

With a proud strut in his step, Jun motioned his way toward the enemy team, most specifically Seo, who was without a doubt furious with anger. In total contrast, the Shark brandished his trademark grin. "Seo,...it's like I said I'm not too different from you, so I know what's going through your head! That's why I won't condescend to you by just saying 'it was a good fight'! Instead I'll say this; Come back and face me anytime! Use that frustration to keep getting stronger! Try every trick you've got! I want it all! Because conquering tough challenges is all that I live for!"

Takemori POV
@Blade17
"That's right everyone, put this moment in history as the start of my team's ascent to the very top!"

I laughed as the holograms around Team I.V. began to disappear and Jun jumped before the crowd yelling. The kid was honestly a superstar without a tv show in his own right, no wonder he became a dobutsu so fast. Can’t deny that he's got charisma.

As I watched the boys disperse a bit to do their own things, I side eyed the pair of Blade and Hanako as they began to talk. I honestly didn’t really trust the girl, just because she cheered for our side doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a hidden agenda.

So, as casually as I could I leaned over to listen in. “sorry Hanako we worked hella hard on her and she got badly damaged, sorr I couldn’t keep her out of getting damaged, and she held out good for me even with the structural kink, you did good, me and Hanako will fix you up.” I heard him say. Oh, so the Snow White was a collaborative effort?

“Blade, you don’t have to be such a perfectionist.” Hanako said with a smile. “In gunpla battles, damage is inevitable no matter what level of skill you are at. Wether it be battle or wear in tear. BUT, Luckily as gunpla fighters we can still take care of our gunpla through maintenance and repair!” She said and I nodded slightly. It was good advice really, a lesson that takes alot of fighters a while to come to grips with.

Content with the fact that at the very least she wasn’t trying to throw Blade off, I decided to give the kids privacy.

Chisato POV
@Double
As I watched my son walk over to us I was almost stunned. He was smiling, but not his same smile that he would force out when I nagged him on his well being or the small smiles I see when he works on those models. It felt like Riku was awake, fully awake and alive.

“Ri-kun you were amazing out there!!!!” Yuna screamed in excitement.

I laughed a bit before joining in. “Truly you were amazing out there Riku, I didn’t know you could make the models move that fast.”

Yuna immediately jumped in, “Or that you can shoot a bow and arrow! You were like robin hood, sniping from so far away!!! Or maybe you’re Hiroshi Yamamoto?”

“Either way,” I interrupt, ” I’m .. happy that you found this team and are participating in these competitions, you seem to be having a good time.”

No POV
@Shiyonichi
As Naoki and Kai walked past the crowd to their tables and equipment, packing up the portable work stations they had set up. “Uh, hey Kai.” Naoki asked as he began organizing the spare parts he had brought. “Whats up with that gunpla? I’ve never seen anything really like it before and believe me when I say I keep up to date on gunpla building technologies.” He said, now moving on to putting away his paint gun.

“It almost looks like a full custom build but, and don’t take this the wrong way, but i’ve never seen you build anything this complex.”

No POV … Again
@KenjuGuy
As the shark of team Imagine Victory approached Team Zenshin High as the battle ended, Jun approached Seo, "Seo,...it's like I said I'm not too different from you, so I know what's going through your head! That's why I won't condescend to you by just saying 'it was a good fight'! Instead I'll say this; Come back and face me anytime! Use that frustration to keep getting stronger! Try every trick you've got! I want it all! Because conquering tough challenges is all that I live for!"

Seo blinked, dumbfounded at the bravado of this guy and at the almost visible anger now coming from Seo at the comment, “My fustrastions?! MY. FRUSTRATIONS? My level of frustrations reaches a peak that you cannot even IMAGINE right now!!!” Seo said as he stopped off to where he had put their equipment.

As Jun was left there, a new voice came in. “Ah don’t worry about that boy, young man” And to Juns left came a spry but very old man walk up to him with his grandson. “By the way, in case you don’t recognize, I’m the guntank you shot down, and this here is my adorable grandson you shot down!” He said rubbing his grandsons head playfully.

“I just wanted to thank you for our dog fight, I hadn’t felt my blood pump like that in awhile. And that you better come by Kishimoto again to have a rematch against us!” He said with a laugh.

Hachiyama POV
@Renny@Dezuel
“Why did I even rely on you failure mercs?!!!!!!” Seos voice boomed as the group regathered to the side of the arcade. The sound of the cheering crowd thankfully muffling the sound of Seos rant. “Ryoichi you literally had half the team with you and you couldn’t take the point let alone defend it!”

Seo then pointed at Charmaine, “And you! You’re the bigger fuck up!! Not only did you disobey me! But you couldn’t even finish the job!!”

At that I could feel sympathy for both mercs. But before I could say or do anything the voice of Tanaka chimed in. “Boss you weren’t there, the ship was incredibly tough! I couldn’t put a dent in it without the thing firing back!! And not only that but the wing gundam that was guarding got a massive upgrade!!”

“Not only that,” Another voice chimed. “But they also had reinforcements that hampered the assault. In short,” Kobayashi said as he pushed up his glasses, “We were out gunned.”

“Did. I. Ask?” Seos asked slowly to the two, both of them flinching a bit.

Seos anger was practically visible.

“If its not already clear, you two won’t be getting your 20,000 yen. In fact your performance was so horrible I should be asking for my previous 20,000 back. Our business from now on is over. Goodbye.” Seo finished with a turn on his heels and preparing to leave the store, signalling for us to follow.

“Oh, yer talking about my partner.” Kai paused putting a hand to the side of his face and taking a moment contemplate if he should talk or not, only to come to the conclusion that there was no other reason not to. If Naoki wanted to find out more about it, it wouldn’t really be difficult as the XCEED was very much a one of a kind mobile suit.

“It’s called the Turn-XCEED Gundam. If ya can’t tell from the name, it’s base design is the Turn-X Gundam... or was that just the Turn-X? Well doesn’t matter. If it seems too complex for me to have made it, that’s because it is. A friend of mine made it, if I had built it myself wouldn’t be in such a sorry state, it’s just too much for me to repair it properly. I was in a team before this, and any innovation made by him was basically kept under wraps for the usual reasons and our collapse meant that it wasn’t seen for too long leading to the obscurity.” Kai paused making it clear he did really want to talk about his old team.

“If yer wondering, no I can’t really get a hold of him right now.” The Gunpla fighter took a magazine off the wall before showing certain person on the cover.

Souji Kiryu, three time winner of the Mejin Cup Open Course.

“He’s been rather busy to say the least, gotten up there in the Gunpla world and still doesn’t seem to be to stopping anytime soon.”

Kishimoto Arcade, Local Tournament.
@Crimson Lion - A Master and A Student

A rolling anger boiled to the surface, shrinking his clear blue eyes as he turned to defend Char-chan against Seo's assault. It was one thing to keep from pummeling a man due to employer-ship, it was another to allow one to bad mouth a genuine Gunpla fighter. And still, as if out of habit, he shut the lid of those raging emotions. His grasp on the wheelchair tightened until shivers ran up its frame. At that point, he let go entirely and maliciously decided he would take Naoki up on his offer out of spite. It must've been strange he assumed, for an enemy to stride up to their group and accept such an offer as quickly as he did. "You got my services, Kid. If for no other reason then to piss off taskmaster Seo over there," he told him, thumbing Team Zenshin High.

Afterwards he casually strode away, leaving the crowded arcade, sliding through the throng of people as if the wind pushed him along their canals. Once on his path home, he took a deep breath and exhaled, still struggling with the intense feelings barreling in his stomach. It made him feel heavy and to some degree, worthless. He rubbed the back of his head out of sheer exhaustion, determined to fix his mood before returning home to his cramp and untidy apartment.

- - -

Settled in the stands, keeping a hard eye on Ryoichi as he left was a rather unique looking man. He was dressed in a somewhat formal attire, though the air he held around him was intense. The boy next to him had been blubbering over Ryoichi's defeat; cheering during his victories too and on the edge of his seat the entire tournament. That had meant a lot to the gentleman, seeing as Ryoichi was his student for all intents and purposes. As the people around them begun to leave, the man stood up, and with wide burning eyes and a slight, even smile said, "What an ugly mess. It would appear my pupil's potential has been dulled over the years. I was excited to hear he had finally gotten back into battling... Only," his open and honest gaze lowered into a steely edge. "It would appear my pupil has committed the most grievous sin against himself. He's ceased to allow himself to grow. I believe its time for a little reunion, don't you?" he asked the boy.

The boy nodded, holding a "limited-event kit" to his chest. "Want me to show you where he stays? we live next to one another."

"That would be splendid!" he said with heart and mirth. "In return I shall ensure you get home safely lad. Of this much, I promise you!"

Jun watched as Seo left off in a huff, and despite the obvious antagonism sent his way, Jun grinned and waved off someone he thought of as another rival to his list. While he proudly folded his arms, another former competitor introduced themselves. Judging from the voice, he figured out it was the old man he had faced in the first round! Not only that, but the younger fellow next to him must have been his grandson!

"Oh it's you guys! I never got your names! As you could already tell, I'm Jun, Imagine Victcory's 'Once In A Centuary Genius!'"

He arrogantly thumbed toward himself in declaration of his name which was already obvious by that point.

"For real though, you guys were great out there. Actually had me sweating! Your piloting skills are no joke."

He scratched his cheek while thinking of the tight predicament he was put in while in that battle. The boy continued on with a friendly smile.

"Your reaction skills were crazy, it's like you guys were NewTypes or something! Yeah I'll definitely come back to face you guys any time! It would be pretty cool to learn those moves you! And heck, you can learn from me too! I'll teach you the Jun-Style of going beyond your limits with no fear at all!"

Laughing to himself, Shark went out of his way to shake both of their hands.

3 days after the teams first victory at Kishimoto Locals Tournament, the team had decided to spend the week however they wanted and split up with an agreement to meet again next weekend.

Its a Wednesday afternoon at the Takemori Arcade and the leader and manager of team Imagine Victory are working behind the counter, helping customers while talking about the teams.

“So now that your whole team has local victories under your belt, you guys are prepared for the Regional tournaments in one month. Nervous?” Takemori asked as he watched over the store.

Naoki, stacking boxes on the shelves behind them, grinded his teeth before starting. “Actually, Looking back at the tournament, I think our group might need a little more experience before the next level.”

“Oh really? I figured with skilled veterans like yourself and Kai on the team you'd feel more confident. And the non-vets are shaping up to be big players.”

“Talent can get you far. Experience can get you farther. And I’d like for my whole team to have a good amount of both. Honestly. All of them are too comfortable on the battlefield. Too capable. I need something to get them into a different mindset.”

“Hmmmm, well if you’re looking for something different,” Takemori then grabbed a poster under the counter, sliding it over for Naoki to see. “THIS would be a perfect event, plus a good chance to look for your last 7th teammate.”

“... Actually, about that. … Tomiyoka talked to me yesterday about something and there's another I’d like your opinion on.” Naoki said and for a second Takemori felt like they had just reached a high point on a roller coaster. What had happened to Tomiyoka?

Takemori POV
Sunday Takemori Arcade
@KenjuGuy@Blade17@Shiyonichi@Double
As the last of team Imagine Victory entered the room Takemori looked over the group of 5. The leader of team IV, Naoki, is missing from the meeting for good reason.

“Everyone, can I grab your attention for a moment.” I called As I tried to gather the fighters into a huddle in front of the store counter. “Naoki isn’t here today so I’ll be giving you guys the news. Theres 3 thing we need to discuss so listen up!!

“Now first things first, Team Imagine Victory will be busy next Sunday as we’ll be going west to Setogaya where we’ll be attending an Anaheim Co. sponsored Gunpla event called the Gunpla Festival. Its a unique event where competitors of all types compete in a variety of different kinds of battles and challenges. Me and Naoki talked about it and we’d like all 4 of you to participate in an event of your choosing. You can pick to team up or do an event independently we don’t care.”

As Takemori finished saying this he held out a post with information on the events going forward. A Gunpla Racing Event. A Gunpla Performance Fight. Duos Gunpla Mini Tourni. Gunpla Solo WARS Event. And lastly a Gunpla Quick Build Event..

“These are the big 5 events along with a gunpla idol showing and a couple small AI vs Human events. I’m expecting all 4 of you to participate whether it be together, separate or with outside help. And speaking of 4, someone in your group has an announcement.”

As Takemori said this, Tomiyoka who had been standing to the side lifted his hand and nervously walked up to the group of Jun, Kai, Riku and Blade. “U-umm, I’m not sure how to say this properly but … I was really happy when I was invited to join Naokis team. And even happier when you guys joined the group, and don’t get me wrong I’ve improved greatly since joining but … I .. Don’t belong here. I’m just not at the same level as you guys and it shows! How can I stand with you guys if I can’t even keep up” He finished with a sour smile before continuing.

“So … when my friend invited me to join the schools Gunpla club I decided to join. I’m not at the same level as you guys yet but I’ve decided that I’m going to start believing in myself and reach that height!!” His smile turned much brighter as a small tear formed in his eye. “S-So you guys better watch out! Because Tomiyoka of Koyaba Primary School will see you at regionals just you all wait!! And when we fight I hope I- *sniff* I hope I can show you guys how awesome I can be!!”

I couldn’t help but smile as Tomiyoka bowed when he finished that sentence. It takes alot of courage to leave your team and even more backbone to challenge your former team, especially when the team is all older than you.

“Oh, the third part of todays agenda, before I forget, is the reason Naoki is currently busy.” I took a deep breath, not really confident in my next statement. “Naoki is .. recruiting your last team members.”

Naoki POV
@Renny@Dezuel

I stretched my arms nervously as I sat in the booth of the family style diner. A couple notebooks and my tablet in front of me as I looked over the data of the two people I was waiting to meet.

Ryuichi and Charmaine, the two mercenaries that we had fought at the Tournament. I had luckily found their contact info online and through an inside source respectively and had sent them emails asking to meet me with me. Wether they would actually show up or not I wasn't sure.

Ryuichi was a no brainer. A talented and experienced fighter with little temperament about working in a team and with no previous allegiance made for the perfect target for recruitment.

Charmaine however was a different story. I had told Takemori that I had decided to recruit him was because of his building and battling expertise but in reality I wasn’t completely honest with him.

During my fight with Charmaine I felt something. It was dark, and subtle but I saw. And if I was ever going to find out what exactly it was and why it bothered me so much I would need to fight Char again.

And the only way to guarantee that would be to keep him close.

So I continued to wait at the back of the restaurant, a coffee and cake to my side as I waited for the two of them to show up.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls!" the announcer said with an exciting flare, "It's the event you've all been waiting for! Gathered here tonight are six of the top duelists in our beloved League!" he made a gesture and some spotlights suddenly flared to life. Six of them, each on one of the six rather eccentric characters gathered there. Pretty much every one of them were dressed up in some form of cosplay, befitting of the "character"' they each played in these battles. "You've watched them fight in fierce duels, you may have even watched them battle it out in ferocious tag teams... but tonight! Tonight, for your viewing pleasure, these Duelists will set aside their heated rivalries, and fight a decisive 3 vs 3 battle in this special event!'

This was the GDL, or Gunpla Dueling League. It originally began a few years ago as a format dedicated to the 1v1 battles that Gunpla fighting originated as. Over the years, though, it had expanded to include occasional 2v2 tag team matches in addition to its standard 1v1 format. Tonight, however, was a special event designed to premiere the GDL's first foray into 3v3 battles. The GDL had become a worldwide format, featuring competitors from around the globe. As such, the Duelists of GDL were all considered the best of the best of their regions or countries of origin. It was very much a World Level format. But the GDL had gained another rather unique trait. What began as mere battles between competitors, had since evolved into fierce rivalries that now often had actual narratives and storylines attached to them for extra flavor. Duelists had essentially become like characters in a story, written and forged through the heat of battle and competition with another. This of course sparked online fanclubs and fansites devoted to various Duelists, often dedicated to heated debates on who the actual strongest Duelist was or who had the better-built Gunpla.

"On Team A, we have Prince Erek von Schroeder in his Gundam RX-Black! Joining him are Garret Earp - descendant of the legendary lawman himself - in his Gunslinger Gundam; and Kalinka Nikolaev in her Valkyrie Angel!" after this he gestured to the 3 on the opposite side, "And fighting for Team B, we have Tobias Wallace in his Gundam Victoria and joining him is Kyosuke Arata in his Gelgoog Scout Type. And last, but certainly not least. Leading them will be the unknown, the mysterious, your hero and mine... Silver Ronin in his Crusader Grimgerde!"

These were all among the best battlers of their respective nations: America, England, Russia, Japan, et cetera. But two among them were a bit more unique than that. One was obvious, the mysterious and masked Silver Ronin. He wore a grey pilot's uniform in addition to a silvery replica of the mask of Zechs Merquise, and even wore a Japanese sword at his hip. He was the only Duelist in GDL whose true identity remained a mystery. He first appeared some time ago, and began what was currently still an unbeatable win streak. He'd gained many fierce rivals, including those present. More often than not, they would swear to defeat him if only to forcibly unmask him, but so far none had succeeded.

The other unique Duelist was Prince Von Schroeder. He wasn't just a Prince in character, but he was also a Prince in real life as well. He hailed from the Kingdom of Rosanctea, an Eastern European micronation. While he was not in line for the throne, Von Schroeder was instead in line to take command of the Rosanctean Military and Security force. He entered Gunpla as a means of training and honing his skills and tactical acumen. He had also become the Silver Ronin's most well-known Rival. Both were virtually undefeated on their own, but when pit against each other, their battles never seemed to end with any conclusive victor, often resulting in a draw. How appropriate that they were each named as leaders of Team A and Team B respectively.

The battle began shortly after introductions. Each Duelist launched into the battlefield with victory in mind. The battle was fierce and evenly matched in the beginning. As expected, the competitors followed the trend of pairing off into 3 simultaneous Duels. Such a battle format was just what they were used to. And of course, Silver Ronin and Von Schroeder went up against each other. Their attacks were even, neither able to gain any ground. If this kept up, it would turn into a drawn out affair. But then something else happened.

Ambitious Conspirators
At some point mid-battle, Arata maneuvered himself into hiding. After this, he used his sniper rifle and took aim... at Silver Ronin! Thankfully the masked pilot seemed to sense this coming and was able to avoid a deadly head shot. But as if on cue, he suddenly found himself staring down four opponents. It seemed his own teammates had conspired to aid the other team in defeating Silver Ronin. A trap, as it were. They went for the attack. Despite being gravely outnumbered, Silver Ronin was able to hold his ground rather impressively even for someone at this level, "Taking the opportunity to try and overwhelm me, are you?" the masked man taunted over public comms. Despite the situation he found himself in, he was surprisingly calm. In fact, it almost seemed like he anticipated this.

After using his ABC mantle to deflect another shot from Arata's Gelgoog, Silver Ronin drew his Magnum Defender from its holster and fired back at his traitorous teammate. The shot actually managed to hit the rifle and render it unusable. An impressive shot at distance with a mere pistol weapon. At that moment, while he no longer had his Shot-Lancer drawn, he saw the Valkyrie Angel charge in for a melee attack trying to force him into melee with a ranged weapon. But in the blink of an eye, the Magnum Defender straightened itself into a beam saber hilt, the blade igniting in time to deflect the incoming blow, "You'll have to try harder than that, my dear Kalinka!"

In all this, the only one not participating in the ambush was Von Schroeder. He stood and watched for a bit, actually having been unaware of this little conspiracy by his fellow duelists. Perhaps they had simply assumed he would join them out of sheer desire to defeat the Ronin. But instead his Gundam RX-Black just stood there. Eventually he saw an attack coming for Ronin that looked impossible avoid. Would this finally be his defeat? The attacker's Gunpla was stopped short by a beam rifle shot, one that didn't come from the Crusader Grimgerde. Instead it came from Von Schroeder, who finally joined the fray only to take the Ronin's side.

The Knight and the Ronin
"Don't get the wrong idea, Silver Ronin." he said to his rival over the public channels, "I simply won't allow anyone to unmask you except for myself!" truth be told, this was also a matter of honor. To take advantage of a 3v3 to gang up on someone in such a manner. To him it reeked of cowardice and dishonor. He would not allow the sacred honor of GDL to be sullied by such a cowardly ambush.

"Heh. Fair enough, Your Highness."

With these two now effectively becoming an impromptu team, they were able to take on their enemies with surprising efficiency. Despite being heated rivals, the two fought together incredibly well compared to the other duelists. And it was thanks to this the battle reached its finale. Silver Ronin and Von Schroeder had handily defeated the other 4 duelists. But since they entered this battle on separate teams, the fight itself wasn't ended yet.

"So just us, then?" asked the Silver Ronin as he watched his temporary ally turn his weapons on him, "I guess you really did want to save me for yourself. Well what are you waiting for, Your Highness? This duel isn't going to finish itself!" and then the two Gunpla clashed with each other. As with most of their duels, this one too ended in what could only be described as an inconclusive draw. It seemed audiences would have to wait a while longer before a clear victor could be decided between them. The battle itself was filmed and streamed live over the net to fans all over the world. And this particular event took place late Sunday evening, mere hours after the Kishimoto Locals tournament had ended.

Riku POV

2 days after the Tournament, Riku found himself - as usual - spending his free time at Takemori Arcade. At first he intended to spend some time making adjustments to the Yamato and finally putting it through its testing phase. The data from the Kishimoto Arcade outing was invaluable for this task. But Riku also occasionally found himself working on the Shin Musha Hyaku Shiki. He had thought for sure that he couldn't find any more ways to improve it, but the Tournament the other day had proved him wrong. Now he was working on what would be the next version of the build. Overall it still looked mostly the same, however the shoulder plates had been mounted with GN Blades that could be removed and wielded by hand or fired as a harpoon shot. And while the Tactical Arms was a useful addition, that part ultimately belonged to Naoki and so Riku had returned it to him. The golden gunpla still had the pair of beam sabers, only now Riku had modified them to be capable of connecting at the hilts. This meant they could be dual wielded as two sabers or wielded together as a double-bladed beam naginata. The Gunpla's backpack part now sported a GN Drive unit. This meant the gunpla could now use the Trans-Am system to triple its speed and energy output. That same system could also theoretically apply to the Izanagi as well, allowing for an even stronger Shining Flash that Yuna had affectionately called the "Crimson Flash" after the crimson red glow of an active Trans-Am system.

"Come on, Ri-kun, you promised you'd help me, remember?" Yuna was with him today. She'd been bugging him to help her build a Gunpla of her own, and he did at one point promise to do so. She was even making her pouting face, complete with puffed out cheeks.

"Okay, okay." Riku relented, finally taking his attention off the Yamato and Shin Musha, "Show me what you've got so far." he watched as she happily showed him the kit she had chosen. A Nobel Gundam. It's unique body type allowed it to move in ways other models couldn't, and with greater agility to boot. Yuna opened the box and showed that she had the head and torso assembled, but was still working on the arms and legs.

"You'll help me customize it, right?" she asked, "You're better at that sort of thing than I am."

"Sure, but..." he said, thinking about something, "...you'll have a harder time learning if I do everything for you." he had picked up the leg parts and then noticed something about them. They featured raised heels on the feet, due to the feminine nature of the model. But those heels did give him an idea, "Tell you what. Keep working on the arms for now. I'll see if I can do something special with these leg parts, okay?"

"Okay, sure." she said, but Riku had already gotten up before she could ask any other questions.

"Hey, Takemori-san?" Riku asked at the counter, "I need to use the 3D printer. I know it's supposed to be for the team only, but... can I use it to help Yuna with her Gunpla?"

Diner, A Planned Meeting.
@Crimson Lion - reFORGING

Tired was an understatement meant to insult the sheer exhaustion on Ryoichi's face. His mentor's voice still lorded in his head; a confident, sincere, passionate baritone that overwhelmed any protest he could muster up. Even if he felt dirt tired or his mind was glazed over with an unfaltering insistence for sleep; it was no excuse. Ryoichi was more or less forced to agree to the meeting with Imagine Victory's team leader based on his mentor's "hunch". They were rarely wrong but still... still... he felt so dead tired and sore to boot. Physical training was tough but it was the mental exertion of his tactical studies and therapeutic sessions that he dreaded the most. His mentor was dogged about uncovering where his trauma came from and what exactly it was affecting.

Ryoichi entered the Diner after a burning jog from his apartment complex. He could smell the bitter-sweetness of the coffee and that small pleasantry perked him up, gave candlelight to his dead blue eyes.

He knuckled his cheek lightly before sliding into the booth unannounced, hands tucked nicely into his pockets. His white hair was unkempt and his signature tea-shaped glasses was missing from his face, still he eyed Naoki with a degree of annoyance. "Before we start, did you catch that match Sunday after the tournament?" he let out a fatigued sigh that belied his words. "Those guys are the pinnacle, I want to be on that stage with them one day. My mentor says I can get there with Team Imagine Victory, tell me, honestly, what do you think?"

“Gunpla Festival?” Kai parroted. The Gunpla fighter had been to other so called unique events before and most took on the combat side, but he hadn’t really participated since Team Alexander disbanded. Mostly because such an event would have lots of eyes watching it and one of those eyes might be that person’s. And having that person looking down on him while not being able walk up to face them to meet eye to eye annoyed him on a personal level... Maybe that wasn’t a bad thing anymore. Though that might not be the case. While he was still more or less on this team to get to reach that person and it definitely wasn’t a guaranteed, he was confident that this team at least had the potential to get there.

“So it’s going to be a bit more of a big deal then just a couple of locals, then?” The Gunpla Fighter asked a question more on the rhetorical side. “... Alright then what’s the biggest event, the main show, everyone wants to see?” Kai asked, the Reaper had decided that he was going to declare war. And to guarantee that he was going to be heard he needed to the biggest stage. He couldn’t physically reach that person with his blade right now, so he was going to make sure that his voice did, not just her, but everyone of his old friends that he was back in the game.

“Good luck, Kid.” Kai gave a simple congrats to Tomiyoka. He didn’t really say anything else, it was his choice to leave or stay. While the Gunpla fighter didn’t dislike the kid, he wasn’t going to stop him from leaving, even if they were down one member, being out numbered wasn’t really much of a handicap, well at least to the Gunpla Reaper, sad to admit it, fighting with Souji was basically the equivalent of being down a member. The man was someone he called his best friend... but for all his skills with building he was just the worst at piloting. Case in point Souji had once piloted a Mobile Armor against a ball ...and lost... badly. Tomiyoka was probably better than his old friend and builder.

“So we’re getting newbies. Since Boss seems to have high standards of recruitment, I’m guessing it’s the mercs from last time.” Kai made a guess as he seen him trying to recruit them and if it was someone from Naoki’s own past then, they would probably would have at least heard of them. “Loudmouth, remember not to piss them off and chase them away. You already pissed of the Old man and I don’t know if that grudge has been settled.” The Gunpla Fighter also turned to Riku. “Hey, Yankee if ya also got time left over, do ya mind helping me with my Gunpla as well? I’ll be in yer debt if ya do.” Kai scratched his head before saying. “Though I’ve haven’t got a clue for how to settle that debt, besides beating someone up or something along those lines.”

Naoki POV
@Renny
I smiled, at first confused about what Ryoichi was talking about before remembering the Gunpla Dueling League. “I actually did! It was pretty impressive in my opinion, although I have a bias as a Von Schroeder fan.” I responded as I looked at the clock, before looking back down at my email, still showing no response from Charmaine. Guess I couldn’t reach him.

I turned back to Ryoichi as he talk about his mentor and the GDL. “Competing in the Gunpla Tournament League is definitely a great way to get invited to the Gunpla Dueling League. In fact Takemori-san, our coach/manager, was actually invited to a match after his debut on the world stage.” I told him as I took a sip of tea.

“I’m happy to hear that you have a goal like that, I actually have a similar goal myself.” I admitted before continuing. “So I’m sure you know why I asked you here. Team Imagine Victories current objective is to compete through this year's tournament and compete in the World tournament. I believe the people in our group are talented enough to bring us to Worlds, but I think what we need is someone with more battlefield experience and comfort in battle, even when things turn sideways. When I saw you fight the other day, you were completely in control of yourself even when you ran into dangerous situations.”

“I think I need someone who's willing to jump into the fire with me for victory, and that's why I’m asking you, Join Team Imagine Victory!” I asked with an outstretched hand.

Takemori Pov
@Double@Shiyonichi@KenjuGuy@Blade17
“I know it's supposed to be for the team only, but... can I use it to help Yuna with her Gunpla?"

I chuckled at Rikus' question. I guess when it comes to asking for something for others he’s a little more hesitant. “I just got an order of extra carts so go ahead, just don’t print more than you need, Naoki said something about making a new gunpla as well so I don’t know how much he’ll need as well.” I responded.

I was surprised how fast his friend had jumped into gunpla, but not to surprised. When you see an amazing sport of any kinda, and have the opportunity to experience the sport then of course you’d jump on it. Especially when its also an excuse to spend time with friends.

“Actually, if Yuna is really interested in Gunpla, perhaps you should invite her to the Gunpla Festival.” I said as an excuse. You never know where talent will spring up from.

After giving Riku permission, I turned to Kai as he asked about the events. “The 5 events I listed are the big 5, where almost everyone will be watching. But if you’re looking for a real intense challenge that can put you in the spotlight for combat I suggest the Solo WARS. They are 1v1 battles where the competitors get 3000 points each, basically 3 mobile suits, and get to fight until one of you runs out of points. There's also the Duos Mini Tournament if you want to show off your support ability, you can partner with a stranger for a little extra fun, or even an extra challenge.” I said, an idea coming to mind. “In fact, duoing up with a stranger and carrying them along would be a pretty flashy show of strength as well.” I finished as I tried to strike a flame within him.

A solo battle would really let Kai shine, but a duo battle with a stranger is a completely different beast. And I think Kai experiencing something like that could really bring out the best in him. I didn’t have my hopes up, however. I wasn’t saying Kai couldn’t fight in a duo, he’s shown in the last tournament that he has at least a marginal amount of team coordination. But I can’t imagine he’d willingly let himself be weighed down by a stranger.

“Hey Blade and Jun, what’re your thoughts on the events? Have any in particular you’d like to try?” I started as I turned to the two other fighters of Team Imagine Victory. “Any thoughts on the events? I personally would like to see how far you can make it in the Gunpla Racing Event, Blade. That new suit of yours is perfect for speed.” I told Blade as I mentioned Snow White. The gunpla was still amazing in my opinion. Either Hanako or Blade have a good sense of building.

Tomiyoka chimed in at this, turning to Jun. “Jun senpai! You should definitely join the Performance event! During performances your face and audio are broadcasted for the whole audience to see you’d do great!!”

Riku POV
@Crimson Lion

"The festival? Ah, yeah, she kind of already pestered me into inviting her. S-sorry about that." he said with a quick apologetic bow. He could be set in his ways most of the time, but apparently Yuna was the one person in the world who could bug him into doing things for her, "Anyway, I'm just gonna print a single set of legs for her Gunpla. Shouldn't need more than that. Thanks, Takemori-san." and he was off to the printing room.

Once in there, he used his phone to grab a quick of the Nobel's leg parts. That would give him the baseline for the legs he was about to make. It was a matter of redrawing the legs with the particular addition he made to them into the printer's settings and then letting the printer itself do the rest. When it was finally finished, he grabbed the newly printed leg parts and hurried back to the build tables where Yuna had been all this time.

"You were gone a while." Yuna said, when Riku made it back, "What exactly were you doing?"

"Printing these for you." he handed the newly minted parts to her, "They might look the same, but don't be fooled by appearances. They've got a special trick to them that I added myself."

"What 'trick'?" she asked, curiosity now piqued.

"Well, why don't you finish building it and I'll show you in a practice battle later? You know, like a surprise."

With this the two resumed work on the Gunpla. While she was painting it, Yuna spoke again, "Thanks for me taking me with you to festival, by the way. Maybe I'll use this Gunpla and win an event or two!"

"Sure, I don't see why you couldn't. I got into competing by just sort of jumping in, myself." it was true. Riku originally started joining competitions merely by jumping into them on a whim. He didn't put a lot of time into prepping for them back then like he did now. But still, it was a start, and it helped get him to where he was currently.

Riku POV
@Shiyonichi

The next day, Riku attended a team meeting. Here, Takemori went into a bit more detail about the Festival and its various events. Riku's natural inclination was to join the Quick Build Event, since build competitions had always been right in his wheelhouse. And yet, that also sounded like it would be too simple, too easy. Perhaps he should instead pick an event he wasn't at all familiar with just for the extra challenge? Well, surely he'd figure it out come Festival time next week.

Tomiyoka was also taking this opportunity to announce his departure from the Team. He instead would be joining team within his own age group. He would be missed, but it sounded like he made up his mind and was determined to see this decision through.

"And when we fight I hope I- *sniff* I hope I can show you guys how awesome I can be!!”

Riku offered him a smile in return, "You already have, Tomi."

And then there was the third item on the agenda. Naoki was absent in order to recruit what he hoped would be the final two team members. Kai was the first to speak up.

“So we’re getting newbies. Since Boss seems to have high standards of recruitment, I’m guessing it’s the mercs from last time.”

Riku nodded in agreement, "It's gotta be them. Not sure how he plans to recruit them though, unless he plans to hire them or something." Still, having two others around to bounce ideas off of and practice with couldn't be a bad thing, though. He just hoped they didn't butt heads as much as Kai and Jun did.

"Don't see why not." Riku answered with a shrug, "Assuming of course you don't mind me seeing its specs and design secrets. Can't exactly help you much if I don't know what I'm working with, after all." he said this before holding up an index, "And if you really want to pay me back, then there's one or two things I could use a hand with. I'm still having some trouble with Gundam Maxter's fighting style and I could use a sparring partner on that front."

Diner, A Planned Meeting.
@Crimson Lion - reFORGING

Ryoichi leaned back into the cold leather of the booth, the exhaustion on his face receding as a weary smile propped itself up crookedly. The clarity in his eyes seemed to return as well, an almost relief sweeping up and down his body. In his head, he had ticked off all the boxes his Mentor had predicted would spell out a worthy proposition. Honesty, sincerity, and most importantly a genuine joy for Gunpla battle.

He glanced at Naoki's hand carelessly, his head tilting before he sat back up and pulled out his left hand from its pocket. His palm and fingers were heavily calloused from the last decade or so. "Y'know at first I wasn't too sure about you, Kid. You or your group of misfits but quite frankly, I don't think that matters anymore. I'm not okay with losing and I don't think I will ever again with your team," he said oddly intense before firmly grasping his hand. "That being said, I want to reach the pinnacle. If I feel like you guys are slipping on me, I'll turn my Baelstrom against you guys."

With that bit of warning out of the way, the young man released his hand. "I can't believe I'll be on the same team as that guppy..." he commented with a snarky expression. "I owe him a beating y'know? I keep my promises."

For a moment Kai stayed silent seemingly thinking about what Takemori said. “A two vs two with a stranger... That’s fine.” Kai answered firmly, above everything else in this festival, he needed to stand out and if he needed to carry a total newbie, the that was fine. Besides whoever it was that he was going to be paired up with, was probably not as bad as his best friend. If the world had somehow created someone even worse in Gunpla fighting then it would be the end of sport as they knew it. “Sign me up for the 2 person team with a random person, I’m not going to lose.”

Kai turned to Riku, to make sure he doesn’t, he at least needed his partner to be presentable. After all taking it out into it’s current state would be a bit of an embarrassment to his old team. Kai took out the lacquer box wrapped around in rope, before opening it and taking out cracked Gunpla. “It doesn’t matter to me if ya see it and the Turn-XCEED isn’t something you can just defeat just by knowing about it. I’ll take ya up on that offer, but the Turn-XCEED’s builder’s currently a three times Mejin Cup winner, think ya can handle it?”

Jun felt a bit awkward at suddenly having Tomiyoka disband from the team. From his point of view, you should charge at whatever your desire is full throttle without backing down. "You're leaving the team huh, that's too bad. Especially after we just kicked butt together..." he tried no to shown his sadness about it, so he wouldn't look uncool. There was also the frustration, "I've been there too, doubting myself, I mean. Even someone as great as me has had those moments before.....but hey, as long as you promise to stand on the same stage with me again someday, I can't be too mad. That's just your way of facing your challenge!", he finally finished off with a grin and fist-bumped the younger competitor.

"Wait that old guy is joining along with us- HEY KAI WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO ME LIKE I'M SOME WILD ANIMAL!?" he had been curious about the sudden induction of that white-haired fellow becoming apart of their group, but the rude comment from Kai had allowed his emotions to become too wild for him to focus on that subject any further.

"ANYWAY, about this festival...hmm, well a genius like me has alot of skills, so I can't be sure which exact one to focus on," he spoke arrogantly with a grin to his face as if anyone would be amused. With his confidence, there wasn't exatcly any particular event he would shy away from. However, hot-blooded challenges were obviously where his direction would go. Then, that was when Tomiyoka brought up the prospect of the Performance event. "Ahh that's not a bad idea Tomi! It would be a great way to spread my genius to even more people around if they can hear me and see me up close! Not to mention, I bet there would be a bunch of glory-hogging showoffs there who can give me a challenge! I'll teach them a lesson about their over confidence!" Jun pounded his fists together, unaware of the irony.

Naoki POV
@Renny
My smile widened as they shook hands and Ryoichi declared his passion for victory. "I expect nothing less." I said back as I began to quickly try and finish my coffee and cake, theres no time to lose now!

"I can't believe I'll be on the same team as that guppy..." Ryoichi commented as I finished my cake with a snarky expression. "I owe him a beating y'know? I keep my promises."

I raise my eyebrow at that, "Which one are you talking about? Blade or Jun? Either way if you really want to keep that promise I think the first step would be to meet them face to face, shall we?" I asked as I stood up, a finishing my coffee before motioning Ryoichi to follow.

Takemori POV
@Shiyonichi@KenjuGuy@Double@Blade17

As I watched the two hotter heads of the team bicker, with Tomiyoka standing to the side desperately trying to keep up with the two I chuckle. Damn, have I already grown attatched to these twerps?

... I feel like an old man.

As I sighed to myself at the thought of going through an age crisis in my 20s, I notice the sight of 2 people approaching the store, Naoki and the boy that Blade fought in the previous tournament.

Well ... 50% recruitment ain't to bad right?

"Everybody! Eyes up! The captains here." I yelled trying to get the attention of the the two in front of me, as well as Riku who was to the side with the 3D printer and Blade who had stepped to the side to think.

Naoki walks through the door with a big smirk on his face, jumping onto one of the arcades tables (something I told him repeatedly not to do), before announcing, "May I have everyones attention!!! I'd like to introduce the 6th member of Team Imagine Victory, Ryoichi Seiten!"

I begin faux clapping at the theatric, "Nice to have you on board kid." I yell out to him.

Naoki smiles before turning to the boy he led here, "Anything you wanna say to your new teammates pal?"

Blade looks as he listened carefully still thinking on which part of the tournament to join. He texted Hanako,’ you think the snow whit is ready for fighting or racing?’
Hanako texted back ‘ it’s only ready for thens with less physical combat so racing sounds safe for now.’
Blade gad a soft sigh. And put his phone away quickly

Third Impressions
Ryoichi Seiten

His body was aching but he was use to just pushing through those kinds of pains. When his love for Gunpla Battle fizzled out all those years ago, he found a silent strength in persevering. So he did just that. After chugging back his still warm coffee and leaving a small tip, he slid from out the booth and sauntered off behind Naoki. All the while, he thought of those little things that tended to drift through an idle mind. He thought of his new partner, of the performance numbers his mentor and he clocked in the last battle, of its tricks and gimmicks, of its overall power. Before he knew it, as he fiddled in his head with the Baelstrom's new name, Naoki was jumping up on a arcade table and they were standing in front of Team Imagine Victory.

Ryoichi looked around, laying crystal blue eyes on the arcade. "Heh," he smirked. It looked so "ordinary" compared to when the passionate fans and competitors from the Tournament filled its walls, this ordinariness felt nostalgic in a way. Hearing the singular applause, Ryoichi performed a half-assed bow, all the while teasing a chuckle. "Thank you, Pops. Thank you. I appreciate the warm and hearty welcome."

As he raised back into his signature slouch, which still made him appear a bit too slender and a pinch too tall, Ryoichi managed to answer, Naoki's question rather swiftly. He wasn't sure how he felt about everyone, not truly, but his mind did stick to the Guppy and the red-haired boy. The Guppy because he managed to leave a sour taste in his mouth and the red-haired boy because he managed to tie with him...

I shouldn't be too hard on them, isn't like they had much choice in pissing me off that day.

He pointed in the direction of those two with the index of both his hands, "You two... from here on out I'm calling you," he nodded towards Jun. "Guppy and you..." Blade next. "Little Red. As for everyone else, its nice to meet you," he greeted, bowing slightly. "It'll be a rollcoaster battling alongside you all."

Then he noticed Naoki on the arcade table, looking him up and down. "Dude, that's rude." he commented before striding off to the side.
