Both of her ears are pierced and adorned with silver star-themed earrings and hoops. Aoki also sports various tattoos over her body with both arms being covered with traditional Japanese and Swedish designs. Her left leg is also covered with a Japanese dragon wrapped around her leg and up her torso. Not exactly who you would see in a quiet town like this one. P E R S O N A L I T Y : Intense, Confrontational, Confident, Unpredictable, Playful, Witty, Flirty, Messy, Selfish, Ambitious, Blunt B I O : Originally from Japan, Aoki spent most of her childhood traveling between countries due to her mother's career. It wasn't until Aoki was in her teens that they finally settled in Los Angeles, California. There, Aoki began to hang out with the wrong crowds of people while her mother occupied herself with her new lover and soon-to-be baby sibling. It was clear that Aoki's mother had only dragged her around the world with her for those extra brownie points that came in the form of good publicity and sponsors. All the while her mother doted on her new family, Aoki spent most of her days either in her room drawing or out and about with her little group of friends avoiding her mother's boyfriend at all cost. At the age of 16, Aoki got her first tattoo and fell in love with the art form. At 18 she had scored an apprenticeship and at 19 she had saved up enough money to move out of her mother's house. While life was looking up for Aoki, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. She struggled the first five years living alone with finding work, often having to work at a tattoo shop and waiting tables in the local Oaxacan restaurant near her apartment. Her love life was no better, a few of her boyfriends and girlfriends were either abusive or manipulative or both. Finally having enough to live, Aoki took all of her hard-earned equipment and everything she deemed important and moved to a new city. A fresh start with lower rents and an opportunity to open up her own tattoo shop. |

His skin is tanned from work hours outside on the farm and his hands are calloused. His nails are often badly painted in a range of colors, sometimes they are neon, other times they are pastel. P E R S O N A L I T Y : Friendly, Gentle, Stubborn, Oblivious, Patient, Understanding, Reserved, Impulsive, Laidback B I O : The Ramirez family has lived in Sanctuary since it was a bustling miner town to the quiet farm town it is now. Since its start, his family has had strong ties with the town, making them one of the few families with influences tied to the Mayor. That was, at least, until Ulises took ahold of the family land when his parents passed. While Ulises spent the better part of his childhood and teenage years in Sanctuary, he moved to Santa Barbara in California for college. He rushed through college, double majoring in Engineering and English. By the time Ulises was 26, he had finished with his studies and was in the process of writing a book when the news came to him. A one-night stand had resulted in a kid he had not been aware of for three months since she had been born. Mary had been forced to carry the baby to full term due to her mother's religion, but she did not want to keep the baby. Instead of giving her up to adoption, Mary contacted Ulises. Ecstatic by the news of a daughter, he gladly took his daughter and agreed to care for her until Mary was ready, and when and if she were prepared, they would have shared custody. Unfortunately, Ulises did not plan on the next thing life had in plan for him three years later. Both of his parents passed away in a car accident and left the farm under his name. During his stay in Sanctuary, he fell in love with the countryside and the quietness of the town. Luna enjoyed the outdoors, the farm animals, and the space. So after the funeral, Ulises decided to stay. |
______________________________________ ______________________________________ ______________________________________ | ______________________________________ N A M E : Santiago "Santi" Calderon Diaz G E N D E R : Male A G E : 23 - December 23 S E X U A L I T Y : Pansexual O C C U P A T I O N : Unemployed ATM A P P E R A N C E : Santiago looks short due to his hunched over form and slumped shoulders but stands at a rough 5'10" with short messy brown hair, pale green eyes and dark circles under his eyes that never seem to go away. He often dresses in warm colors with various band t-shirts, Docs, and a backpack that carries his tablet and various travel-sized art supplies. P E R S O N A L I T Y : Lazy, Nonchalant, Patient, Friendly, Observant, Down to Earth, Realistic, Cynical B I O : Santiago was given up for adoption when he was about eleven years old. He doesn't remember his parents much, just his mother's pale green eyes and dark flowing hair. He remembers playing with it, but his mother's face is always a blur. He also remembers the cries and screams and the cold floor on his cheek. He was adopted by an elderly couple and brought from Detroit to Sanctuary just before his twelfth birthday. A bit surprised that he had actually been chosen so old, he had trouble adapting to his new life in town. Santiago had doubts about his new family, he had been chosen before, and it had not turned out exactly good. He had little hope, but the love from his new adopted parents won him over years later. Deep down he still had his doubts, as small as they were, they were ever-present in the back of his mind. During his late teens, Santiago graduated from high school with honors and a full ride to UCCS with a full-ride scholarship. Susan and Mark were proud of him as he packed his bags, pet snake, and tablets he left for college. Santiago came back later that semester, not for vacation but because he had dropped out of college. Susan was worried about him and Mark was furious at the mistake Santiago was making. But Santi didn't care. He became distant from his parents, avoiding them as much as he could while still trying to provide for the family. He got a job at the Fox Hole Tavern waiting tables for a year then became a barista at the Cosy Bear Cafe. No work lasted longer than eight or ten months, making Susan worry even more about him. Santiago began to draw and paint, create things with his hand as Susan suggested one morning during breakfast. Mark had thought it stupid, but Santiago found a sense of peace while his brush ran across an empty canvas. Soon enough his room was full of paintings, sketches, and photographs. Mark suggest selling them, Santi liked the idea and so began his little career as an artist. This small change also got Santiago to open back up again, little by little. |
