Watching a lot of them right now. Most recently is probably McGruber on Peacock. Also watching The Witcher Season 2, South Park: Post Covid, The Return of Covid, Hawkeye and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

What's the last movie you watched that you were super disappointed with?

I don't have very high expectations for a lot of movies. So it took me a while to even think of something that elicits "extreme disappointment". But I finally thought of something.

Answer: "Kingsman: The Golden Circle"

Ab-so-lute, piece of shit movie. That squashes any desire I have to see its upcoming prequel.

Ooooh that would have to be The Room.

Would you rather live forever but still be able to be killed or be invincible but still die of old age?

I suppose the question for me ends up being, "Do you want to live, or feel alive?"

So I'd go with invincibility and pull some super hero sh*t. But that's just me.

What are you doing to make your 2022, a better year? (And if nothing, what are you hoping will change. To make your 2022, a better year?)

2022 would be a better year if Covid ends, and we can stop wearing these damn masks everywhere. (I still wear a mask in public places, but that doesn’t mean I like it.)

What’s a TV series do you want to watch but haven’t gotten around to yet for whatever reason?

I would give it but it would be almost too easy to guess my real name. Second worst is Willy and no my name is not William.

Of the myriad of characters you've RPed opposite of, which was your favorite? Answer must be of a character that was not your creation and played by someone else.

That question is so difficult to answer. Because my favorite characters all share the same trait, that so few partners of mine seem willing to nail. But the RP's I did with this person all had multiple characters in them. (Making choosing one a near impossible task.) But the characters themselves were all strengthened in the same way most fictional characters are.

Being a proactive protagonist, that knows how to deal with the problems they face. (I play the villain a lot. Because I enjoy killing/defeating my darlings more than most do. As more than one of my group RP's have ended, because a fight had fairly hurt someone else's character. But not one of those quitter's truly had no options left. They simply lacked the creativity or drive to do better.)

And it feels strange that so many characters in roleplaying are almost always strictly reactionary characters. So worried or reluctant to handle curveballs that I throw. That it's a rare and glorious moment when someone gives me a challenge. But I love that type of creative problem-solving that a good D&D campaign thrives with. And even more so in a 1x1 setting, where two people are perfectly playing off each others characters.

So without answering with an exact character/name. Maybe that's cheating. The characters that I felt she played so well. Were enjoyable in part, because each one felt like a real character. But I suppose it's extra satisfying, when you get to watch a particular partner's character kill your "evil bastard" character, and does it in a clever way as well.

So for my most recent example. I suppose it's the character that let me see my darling die. :P

Now on the opposite side of this question.

Can you think of someone else's roleplaying character that was memorable for all the wrong reasons? The type that's hilarious in hindsight. (Surely someone has a good story that they want to tell.)

There once was a user who I will refer to as OnFireKitten (not the real name) who just seemed to have a chip on their shoulder for as long as I have ever known them (They've been away from the site for many years now).

Anyway, they created a character for a superhero RP that was supposed to have a country twang, I guess, but the attempt at a written accent was just terrible. It was very hard not to grin when trying to mentally picture what this character was trying to articulate. To that end, the character was also a bit of a Leeroy Jenkins type in that they always had an agenda of their own and they always rushed head first into conflict without ever calculating risks. Picture 5 characters huddled together, trying to think of a plan, and this Maverick with a super awkward country accent just jumping out and charging in, lol.

The character was short lived as the user ended up dropping the RP for various issues, but a marks of notoriety was left in my mind.

Have you ever finished an RP on this site and saw the game through to its natural conclusion? Which was the most recent RP that you were able to do that with?

I haven't but I do envy the players who can stay committed to an RP till its ended. Can't imagine how much hard work and dedication that takes.

Question:
What's your favorite genre to RP in and why?

I like action, adventure, fantasy but my favorite is probably slice of life. Great plot is great but I also appreciate a simple rp with good drama/comedy to keep the focus on character development and interaction. If I want to read a great plot, I can read a book but I think a cool part of rp is that everyone brings a unique character and has a chance to build on that.

Question: How did you get into rp?

I started chat-based RP on an animated avatar site that no longer exists. After getting into a mobile game, I began being active on the official fan forum for that game, and saw that people there did what I did on that avatar site, but in the form of forum posts. I discovered and started forum-based RP on that fan forum, first RPing with one liners and short posts, but then I realized I had a passion for narrative writing in general, and went on to look for sites that were made specifically for forum RP. RPG is one of two sites I've been on, and the only one I've stuck with up till now.
