I've been roleplaying for a bit (~10 years) and writing for a bit longer. Most of my RP experience is in ROBLOX, which is very different from this. Faster-paced, basically no structure ever, the chatlog only goes back 20 messages, half the players are children...

I've sort of fallen off from there due to computer performance and community reasons. It's shocking how fast a PC fan goes on full blast when it tries to make that engine handle a few thousand blocks and some PNGs, and disturbing how some people can get so neurotic about powerscaling. Bro, let's just tell a story, I don't care if your speed is irrelevant or infinite and I don't know the difference and I don't want to and AAAAA I DON'T CARE JUST GET OUT OF OOC AND OBLITERATE MY CHARACTER ALREADY IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO

Looking for a better home. Less than fully confident that this is the place, because I do adore that ROBLOX super-casual 10-second-post pacing, but it looks more worth a try than any of the Discord RP servers I've lurked in. Clearly a few people are deeply into it.
I've shown this site to a few similarly disillusioned friends and put it on my bookmarks bar. We'll see.

If that is the content you're looking for, your best bet would be in the Free RP section rather than any of the others. I can't say anything in regards to exact speed (personally I doubt you'd get a reply back in mere seconds unless they happened to be on at the same time as you), but it is certainly the fastest place on the Guild as the content there is primarily dedicated to short, one-liner burst posts.

I started RP in a similar situation, although in a very different community, and I can say that I definitely enjoyed the move to a slower pace. It helps, especially if you're looking for something more story driven. Gives you ample time to think about what your character will do to move the plot in ways that is sometimes not possible during live RP. I will admit however that the magic for live and pbp roleplay is very different so I can understand the desire to stick with what you know. I don't think RP has ever been quite as immersive for me as it was when I was doing it in chat, but then again, I was new to it all and everything tasted fresh back then.

Echoing what Kuro said, Free might be your go to as it's typically faster than the other sections but do check out the games played elsewhere. There's plenty to see and I'm sure there's an RP somewhere that'll interest you.
