Maggie’s first post mentions Eurodollars, which I’m pretty sure is a Cyberpunk 2077 thing, and no one’s contradicted that yet. We’re in what was California so Yen probably isn’t standard, but I can see it being traded anyway on account of there being a mini Japan in Nova City. Possibly all kinds of money work here due to thematic capitalism reasons. But I’m not the GM.

@Meleck Christ, I knew there was something I forgot...

As Sniblet stated, the Eurodollar is part of the official Cyberpunk canon, which this RP obviously does not follow, as it is a completely separate universe with it's own lore.

That said, and just for the sake of not confusing anyone, the American dollar still has value in this world, as do Euros and Yen. The global economic collapse in this universe didn't wipe out physical currency exchange entirely. It more or less just wiped out alot of corporations and businesses around the world, thus leading to a power vacuum that's being filled by the six megacorps.

There is also cryptocurrency in this world.

@VeyrinDay Ah, well uh. Here's what's gone down so far.

-Maggie and her crew were arrested after breaking into a BemaTech facility and stealing classified data on the E13 project, which relates to Gisk's character.

-What Maggie didn't realize however is BemaTech's security was being handled by Milicor as part of their agreement. Milicor dispatched a team being led by Desmond to hunt Maggie down and retrieve the data. This led to Desmond contacting a Regulator cell to ambush Emma's police cruiser on the road, which was carrying Maggie, Lilith, and Nina.

-Both Emma and Lilith were killed in a shootout with the Regulators while Nina took Maggie and escaped.

-The two ran down an alleyway looking for a place to hide. Unfortunately, that place (though it is up to you) is Gecko's workshop.

See, I was looking for a way to bring you back into the story since you had been gone a while. Hope this clears everything up.

Also, if I may ask, what couple? O_O;

Uh, well, you know, I want to put Gecko and Suzy into kind of like being Platonic

-The two ran down an alleyway looking for a place to hide. Unfortunately, that place (though it is up to you) is Gecko's workshop.

Well, they're actually in an undisclosed location, kind of like an apartment that one could only access from an elevator. You know, after the chase with commandos and chopper, they need to get away from the corpo eyes and essentially the city itself. The workshop is vacant, though of course, the holoprojector can be played to pretend that the owner is there with his patient.

you can have or be some kind of mysterious contact and remotely give them missions or jobs, then my posts would be one or two episodes of mission-finishing narratives;

the dynamics of my IRL schedule might make me unable to match the average posting speed here, sorry

That does sound like a good idea. I still want to find a way to incorporate your Conglomerate idea into the story, since I see them as the bigger threat that ties all the events together. Plus the workshop is about to be raided by Milicor mercs, so having a defense system blow them away would be ace. Not so much for Maggie and Nina though.

"I was nearly killed by jarheads with machine guns, and now I'm gonna die by LAZER TURRETS?! Fuck my life!" T^T

Oh c'mon it's not...actually, yeah that is bad. O_o

Oh and no worries. I know how hellish and unforgiving life can be sometimes. Take all the time you need. ^_^

some device you can use:
Suzy's special bio-cyberware had its battery kinda broken and Gecko was only able to jury-rig it. They need to find a replacement but the only way to have it is through some networks of black market or stealing from a secret corpo-lab with possible Conglomerate connection.

Not any single techie can just repair a microaturized fusion reactor with materials that allow superconductivity in human-body temperature

And Gecko himself is more than enough for Suzy's personal ripperdoc should there be any lesser complex problem for her cybernetics
