Etor: " Thanks Iddin. Zuzu's words are always reliable for a good albeit somewhat painful restoration."

Etor surveyed the area again and felt uneasy leaving anything unexplored. Whether foe or treasure the young spearman didn't want to leave any stone unturned

Etor: "Makeen. I'm going in"

He didn't realize the band had moved forward and that only kastilus remained by his side. Etor slinks into the room and to the side trying to be as careful and as quite as possible. When he looks back and notices everyone is gone except for the scholar he motions to him to follow.

Etor moves 4 tiles to 9-32

HELLIONS PHASE

Gesties: "S'pose I owe you times three now. . ." The gruff rival merc muses aloud, nearly knocked on his ass once more beside Makeen, the boy having distracted that nasty little javelineer enough to save Gesties from the next death-knell shot. As Zarif's arrow whizzed overhead, barely having cleared that shiny dome of his, the man manages to pick himself up. "S'pose I could owe you a fourth time, Hellion?" He breathes another ragged breath.

Ashür: "Hmmph. . ." He merely sighs at Siris' response. It wasn't the time that the bandit felt the rash boy-warrior thought he could take on the whole damn world. It was like poison to Ashür's cynicism, bringing to the front of his mind days better left forgotten.

Bright-eyed as ever, Etor makes the point of covering every square inch of the Ziggurot's confines, lest yet more of the filthy blue Yeeks be lurking. . . And perhaps on the off-chance that some ancient treasures still lie here. Captain Doan would surely praise his shrewdness. Whether for better or worse, the chamber is empty, beyond the stink of the creatures' little den, without mentioning the contents of their guts spilling over across the slick sandstone.

Etor's gesture seemingly lost upon the scholar, he makes his way between the vanguard and the heart of the Hellions there, ever moving with a certain unfaltering leisure.
Kastilus: "Yes. . . Yes. . ." He mumbles aloud, his dark eyes moving from one wall to the next, "This would have most definitely been the procession hall. In days-long passed, representatives of each polity would have come before Dumuzid here, a primitive seat of power when put against the silver-plated Uruk perhaps. . . The main chamber should be but ahead." He makes no real attempt to remain hidden, nor for his words to do ought but echo down the tomb of old.

Etor: "Bah. The money is looking a little to relaxed and nonchalant for my liking"

After looking around and finding nothing of interest or value, besides geek feces, Etor catches up to the group.

Etor: "Nothing in the back room."

He says this to no one in particular as he keeps an eye on kastilus.

Splitting isn't exactly the best plan to move forward. Not that the young Hellions seem to have a plan that isn't simply moving forward. Still, both Yeeks and fellow humans could be just around the corner.

Lyun moves deeper into the branching path, scouting just enough to continue holding the corridor with his frame. Heavy steps on the rough stone below, wordlessly announcing his arrival.

Lyun moves 4 tiles to 5-24, readying his hand axe for battle.

Slowing his pace to a cautious walk Siris continued forward while brushing his hand on the wall, keeping his sword in his hand while doing so.

He turns his head slightly towards Ashür, making sure to keep most of his concentration in front of him.

Siris: I’ll stay near this wall to make sure we don’t unknowingly pass any hidden passageways, hopefully avoiding any possible ambushes from behind or to the side.

Although his bleeding was slowing down it had not completely halted, the injuries however were not debilitating and had the side effect of increasing Siris’s focus to avoid leading himself to an untimely death.

Makeen

Shaking off his frustration, Makeen gave a nod of thanks to Zarif while doing his best to hide the shame of missing twice against one of those blue gremlins. Then he turned to Gesties and noticed he looked far worse than how he felt.

Putting on a well practiced smirk, Makeen told the ragged man, "Better make that five times." Reciting the archaic words from his tome, Makeen began to heal the wounded man.

Makeen stays on 11-25 and uses HEAL to heal Gesties for 9 VIT. Gains 18 XP.

Iddin

Iddin surveys the area. Gesties and Makeen where wounded and nearby, Siris... that idiot would have to wait. Makeen was already upon Gesties wounds, so Iddin moved to heal Makeen in turn. The priest stirred the ground with his staff, the glass ornaments chiming. Iddin stepped next to the mercenary and put his hand over the wound, directing the sand on top.

Iddin: "I stand before a healer of a different sect. Zuzu, grant mercy to the waylaid. They do not heal through you, but they still pay their respects to the gods. Let his lesser divine heal the outsider, and let your power restore him."

Iddin slams the staff, then holds still as the sand heats into flesh and repairs Makeen's body.

Iddin moves 1 space to 10-25, casting Heal on Makeen. Makeen gains 5 VIT. Iddin gains 12 EXP and 1 Theurgy EXP, losing 1 Heal durability.

Zarif

Satisfied with his kill, Zarif smiled and glanced down the hall. With the cacophony of sound from his allies and the dying monsters, it was next to impossible to sense out any remaining yeeks in the darkness. Placing the heavy spear in it's slot on his back, Zarif equipped the much lighter spear into his hands and strode down the hall after Siris

Zarif: Hail, armored one! Charging alone into the darkness against the giant, how very reckless of you! Or, perhaps word in these lands is... brave? Curious, how here in this distant land, they use two different words for the same meaning.

Zarif move 6 tiles north to 10-18 and equips his bronze shortspear

Gesties: "'Preciated." Again he managed to wheeze, the pain of his wounds remaining despite the restoration of his flesh. To Makeen, perhaps with a voice low enough that others could not hear, even in the echoing cramped sandstone halls, he says this, "Never would I have expected to thank a Hellion for my life." There's no malice in his words as before. Gesties stands firm once more and tightly grips his blade, with another nod to the sneakthief, he heads onward to join the group ahead. 'Damn. . . Where are they. . . Where are my comrades?!"

GESTIES MOVES TO 11-19

Ashür: "The line is thin indeed." He muses aloud to his fellow foreigner in Zarif, "Bravery has no place in the life of mercanaries."

ASHUR MOVES TO 9-18

KASTILUS MOVES TO 10-20

Etor: "I'll head this way just to check things out just like Lyun is doing on his side."

He says to no one in particular. After seeing kastilus move toward the group Etor decides to venture to the right, yet again to leave no stone unturned.

Etor: "I'll just be over here if anyone needs me."

He also says this to no one in particular.

Iddin

Iddin looks forward, seeing the advanced group. He snarls for the briefest moment, but regains his composure.

Iddin: Some mercenaries are too stupid to live, truly. But I suppose he gets to live another day.

The priest bounds forward gracefully, the movement billowing his robes and echoing through trinkets. Once he reaches the middle of the group, he addresses the vanguard.

Iddin: Zuzu walks alongside! But keep your advance moderate, for his grace is limited... Siris, is it? I trust you understand what limited means.

Iddin moves 6 spaces to 10-19, passively triggering Inspirational. Ashur, Zarif, Siris, Gesties, and Kastilus gain 10 Hit/Avoid for the phase.

A locked door. The band's thief would have to deal with that, if and when he deemed it necessary. With the main group walking further ahead, Lyun simply backtracks towards them.

Lyun moves 6 tiles to 9-22.

Zarif

Zarif waited for the soldier's response... and waited some more. The merchant blushed, he was certain the swordsman had heard him. The place was damn quiet besides the tinkling of their armor and their echoing footsteps.

The awkward silence was broken by the Prist walking up from behind. In his determined, confident tone, he too called out for Siris... and was also ignored. Zarif was not the closest of friends with the strange zealot, but their shared indignity made look over at him and smile awkwardly at the man, and shrug.

Zarif: What an asshole...

Zarif moves 1 tile north to 10-16

Quiet shuffling through the dark. . . Even the cautious and experienced among them could hear their own kit rattling in the din of sound amongst those sandstone cobbles. The three ahead can feel the still air in the buried zigguarot, the low-ceiling corridor opens up into unknowable heights beyond. Like a great cavern or the edge of the shore -- They cannot fathom what dwells therein, or where, that trepidation stays their feet in slight.

Iddin

At last the priest caught up with Siris. Iddin shook his staff, bringing a pile of sand into his left hand. He considered for a moment... and decided this one needs a lesson. Iddin dug his hand into Siris' wounds, covering them in sand. And he threw in a short threat, for good measure.

Iddin: "Idiots have short lives in dangerous company. May Zuzu remind you of the pain of flesh, as it grows anew! For he shall not preserve folly among the eternal gallery."

Iddin swings his left hand, dripping with blood, over Siris' head. The shrill whistle boils the sand into Siris, patching skin and internals back together. The remaining blood crystallizes, falling down Siris' armor to the ground. Shards likewise fall off Iddin's hand as he looks around, surveying for the next injured mercenary.

Iddin moves to 11-16, casting Heal on Siris. Siris gains 11 VIT. Iddin gains 21 EXP and 1 Theurgy EXP, losing 1 Heal durability.

Sounds echo from further on, but still nothing in sight. As Lyun catches up with the rest he notices a cracked wall. Any secret alcove has a chance of being a yeek hiding spot or a holding cell of sorts for the Scorpions. And even if not, there might be something neat for his more greedier companions to nab.

The brute readies his weapon, a silent gesture warning the nearby Ashür, and damages the wall more than it already is, filling the halls with the loud sound of metal against stone.

Lyun moves 6 tiles to 9-16 and attacks the cracked wall with his hand axe for 16 damage. Gains 1 xp.
