Currently working on making a map of the One Piece world and among other things this break month its been on my mind a lot and have decided I wanted to pursue some creative projects in this universe. One of which is writing a story and doing a roleplay.

I wanted to come and check if anyone here would even be interested in participating, and find out what y'alls own ideas and preferences for a One Piece roleplay would be.

I'm definitely interested.

Too add more to the initial post, this is what Im thinking,

The story will take place parallel to the Straw Hats journey. We will never cross paths with them but this is the prime One Piece Universe. We will roleplay a crew(s) on their own journey through the world of One Piece and the Grand Line. We will visit mostly different islands than the straw hats and maybe well see the aftermath at other islands.

We would start in one of the blues, Im leaning West or South but I havent decided yet, and work towards our own side of Reverse Mountain.
I will try to organize it in a way that this will constitute a solid saga complete with character arcs for everyone to develop and play through. If people have ideas for an island and story we can absolutely work to incorporate them. This is One Piece, there are millions of islands, and the stories are just as numerous.

I want to keep clear though that this will be casual. Have fun with it and do stress out. This will be chance for everyone to explore ideas and grow in their roleplaying and writing abilities. I wont try to restrict people much as I want it to be fun, and keep people coming back to it, so go wild with ideas.

Sounds like fun, definitely interested. How will devil fruits be handled though? Will the devil fruits of characters with major story relevance be off limits?@G3njii

@pkken Pretty much exactly that. Any devil fruit of consequence and major story importance will be off limits. Side characters with cool fruits that dont really mean much are up for grabs. Im also open to discussing a fruit if you think its off limits. Again I want this to be fun. But no Gomu Mera or Gura lol

I think this might be interesting. I have an OC character I've been wanting to work with for awhile now. I usually write him as a former marine captain who betrayed the world government, stole a devil fruit, and formed a pirate crew, but he's pretty adaptable depending on the situation. I'm definitely up for it if you'll have me. lol.

If its One Piece, call me interested.

I want to say this isnt forgotten. This was a tentative check at how much interest there would be in the setting at all.

In the next few days ill be working on an outline for the first leg of our adventure, the approach to Reverse Mountain. On the way we will visit several islands allowing people to join in the crew and the rp as their own irl schedules allow. If you want an explicit introduction to the crew message me and well fit it in.

I am leaning towards West Blue because of its adjacency to the New World, we could have a bit wilder origins and power scaling. Also plenty of stories to write in the Blue where the Library of Ohara once stood.

Ill also have a working CS template in that same time frame.

I plan on having both a pirate character and a marine character that chases the crew from time to time. I may potentially not even be the captain if someone has a strong enough pitch.

I know my Pirate's goal is as an explorer/scholar/biologist. He wants to see and catalogue life all over the planet and the grandline.

That makes me realize I forgot one part of the cs Role/Position on the crew.
I updated the CS. I just added Profession underneath Personality in 'Tell Me About Yourself'

Arguably you could say those are more of a fighting style than a profession, but yeah that's not a problem as long as people dont abuse it. Like most things.

For the record though, I was actually gonna go for a musician/swordsman. (Well, I say musician, but the true way she'd make a living is more as dancer :/). And she'd be a cyborg too, who has various Dials in her body due to having been fixed up by a Skypiean.

That's as much as I figured out atm. I'll get to work on the app right away
