Hello all!
We are looking for some new friends to join us in our roleplay. The story is about three royal kingdoms in a fantasy world called Eromora. The noble offspring of two kingdoms have come to another, Caesonia Kingdom, to visit over the summer in the pursuit of courting a spouse. However, not everyone has motivations that are so simple nor so innocent. Political drama, murder, magic, and a narcissistic King have been complicating things, and it's barely even been a day!

Well, not that much has happened quite yet, actually, and I got a recap just for you!
The recap is not even necessary as your character can have their reasons for not attending the ball or what-have-you.

FIRST NIGHT
The Ball
Pages 1 to 10
On the first night of Summer, a ball was held at a castle in the capital city of Caesonia Kingdom, Sorian. For the first time ever, guests from the Alidasht Kingdom were visiting Caesonia, which was the perfect way to greet them. The King, Queen, and various other nobles of the Varian were also in attendance.
But as soon as the Alidasht guests arrived, so did Duke Lorenzo Vikena of Veirmont! He made a fool of himself as his actions led to the Sultan falling out of his palanquin. Not only that, he verbally mistook them for entertainers hired for the ball.
The Alidasht guests were very embarrassed and angry, to the point his daughter Charlotte offered to be a maid to make up for the humiliation. Ultimately, it was decided that Lorenzo and his daughter would simply eat dinner with the Alidasht when the Sultan called upon them, as the Sultan was a merciful man.
The ball progressed as per usual with two main dances of the night. When it wrapped up, the guests from other Kingdoms were escorted to a guest house. I have more pictures available in the discord of what the inside looks like.
After-Party

During the ball, masked strangers handed out secret invitations to select individuals. They were directed to a secret location in a warehouse where a well-off business threw a party with magical effects no one could describe. Even the cocktails had magical properties! However, there was a catch. Everyone that attended could no longer remember the occasion.
Princess Anastasia had been the one to lead most of the Alidasht royals as well as other nobles. When they were found later that evening, everyone was in frightening shape. The nobles suffered from the after-effects of their magical cocktails. No one knew that, as not many know of magic's existence. The Queen of Caesonia and many others were very concerned.
The Murder!

Count Violet Damien was murdered by a stranger while the afterparty is occurring. However, who did it is completely unknown. A girl named Persephone is being speculated.
However, Violet's father Calbert is having the fact that she was murdered completely covered up to protect his younger daughter Crystal's happiness. He lied to her and told her Violet was sent away. He also is not telling the public about her death.

Those who attended the after-party had to report to the entrance hall of the castle. The stable boy who drove the carriage to the party was at first to take the blame. Many protested, including the younger pair of royals. After a dramatic debacle, it was decided that more investigation was needed.

Duke Gideon and Duchess Victoria preside of the capital city of Sorian directly under the King and Queen. Gideon is often viewed as the noble who cares the most(mistakenly). He is extremely ambitious to the point of near-obsession with being the man who changes the world for the better. He loves to give big inspirational speeches and likes to lead by example. However, he's not the wisest despite his charisma and has not made much progress for Sorian at all. King Edin has never noticed this as he always takes him at face value. His wife, Victoria, thinks he is insane for even trying. They fight all the time over their extremely different ideals. To her, they've made it, and they're rich. What else matters? She instead spends her time delighting in luxuries and enjoying the fact she's better than everyone else. To say the least, everyone can tell they were an arranged marriage.

Otherwise, he wears a plain but sturdy tan coat with nice light clothes underneath. No matter the occasion however, Roman will always be wearing some form of armor in some fashion that he either made or one of his family has made to show off the family name. the only constant between his choices of clothing is a medallion he wears around his neck with his family crest a forge and hammer with a crystal molded into its center. this crystal looks clear like glass but gives off a faint aqua glow that is almost unnoticeable.

Because of this he can be very boisterous when in the right mood and company, the best friend you didn't ask for, a guy that just wants everyone else to smile and have a good time. he can be a bit of a handful sometimes when he gets carried away but won’t let his pride get in the way of a quick apology or admit that he was in the wrong.
This is not to say that he can’t get angry or lose his composure, he is only human. getting him to that point is hard unless you know how to get under his skin. he has a bit of a protective streak for those he cares about and can be quick to turn to anger and violence if they are in danger.

well, if you want specifics I'm always up for a beer and a story but to be short?
Life in the far north is hard and so are its people, it’s easy for someone to drunkenly wander home and never to be seen again. taken by the old gods, because of that we celebrate every little thing in this world and have many siblings. my home is the same, the Ravenwood family has many cousins, nieces, and nephews along with brothers and sisters, but I am the oldest and one of the few without a family already.
I passed our rights of passage into adult hood and focused on my trade rather than going out and finding someone to spend my life with right away like many of my siblings. we all work in some capacity at the family business, making intricate pieces of armor, weapons, and jewelry for the nobles across the continents and kingdoms. we are very well known, and we plan to keep it that way for many more generations. for that reason, we all must know what it is like to mine for your own minerals, polish and cut stones, and how to wield and wear armor. for us if you don't know how to wield a weapon or wear armor you can’t make it.
Because I have not found a mate in life my father and mother insist on sending me off to the social gatherings intent on having me wed one of the beautiful ladies of the court. at least I get to take a vacation from my craft occasionally and meet some interesting people along the way.

"Hmm, I asked a lot of questions and wanted to play with all of the shiny sharp toys."

"Like I said before I have a big family, but I would say recently we have grown closer since they have been dressing me up to meet someone nice."

Darryn Fletcher
Darryn Fletcher is a friendly stableboy who works at Danrose castle. However, things have not been great for Darryn. His crush on Princess Anastasia has recently got him into hot water, unfortunately. He was the one who stole a castle carriage of nobles under Princess Anastasia's wishes and drove them to a warehouse party. Because the party ended in nobles being dreadfully sick, Queen Alibeth had wanted to have him executed to try to smooth things over with the Alidasht Sultan. However, the princes were able to convince Queen Alibeth to spare him.
