Cassandra Reed

Location: London, England, Earth 257
Skills: N/A

Cassandra watched as things quickly turned into chaos as she watched Maria getting punched most likely by Luminous seeing her go flying, and skidding across the ground towards a crowd of people. Seeing her getting back up though she seemed to be alright for the most part, her attention turned towards Doom as he started to get back up to his feet. Cass took a few steps back as the ground around him started to wither and die, and he seemed to be healed. "Of course he gets back up." Cass said mainly to herself, as she started to feel the ground violently starting to shake.

Cass was knocked back and landed onto her back, as Doom started to summon up a demon with one large eye and multiple tentacles around it, and even more chaos ensued as the people around them quickly tried to flee the area. The monster started throwing things at just about everyone around them towards the crowd of innocents civilians. Cassandra groaned slightly to herself, she really didn't like that a bunch of people were going to get hurt and quickly went to help get them to safety.

Maria looked directly at Luminous and then a second later she felt the wind getting knocked out of her, and she was sent flying backwards towards the crowd of people. She skid across the ground slightly, as Maria groaned as she heard the people suddenly starting to panic and they all started to flee the area. Maria slowly started to get back up to her feet slowly as she watched the ground around Doom die and he got back up to his feet. "It's always the hard way isn't it?" Maria said mainly to herself as the ground started to shake.

A massive one eyed tentacle demon started to come out of the ground as everyone else was knocked backwards, and even more chaos started to ensue as more people panicked and started to try and get out of the area. Maria looked over towards Oliver, he had super speed, hopefully he would be alright if she borrowed his power to get the civilians to safety. "Mind if I borrow some of your power?" Maria asked Oliver.

Well, just as he sort of predicted, things went from bad to a hell of a lot worse within the span of a few seconds. Some giant demonic eyeball thing appeared out of nowhere, summoned apparently by Doom, who then took off with Luminous while the chaos ensued. This was usually how all their plans and missions went, seemed to be going alright, then suddenly chaos erupts and all hell breaks loose. The demonic eye though, he did have an idea of where it came from or what it was, and he had to breathe a sight of relief that it was only a small minion of the actually demonic entity, which would make it easier to deal with. Not to mention, it's weak spot was almost exactly like Queen Gohma's from the Legend of Zelda game series, so that made it even easier to deal with.

"Well I've got some good news, it could be a hell of a lot worse. That thing is known as Gargantos, which is a smaller minion and manifestation of a much bigger demonic entity called Shuma-Gorath. Good news about that is it makes it a lot easier to deal with and get rid of. Bad news is that doesn't make the overall situation any better since you know, civilians and all still..."

"Well just spit it out, how the hell do we stop the thing that is rampaging around before it potentially hurts more people?" Sparky instantly asked, looking over at Flynn. This was a bit of a weird situation to be in, and she was not sure at all what to do. Since Bonnie's immediate orders and reaction made you think to not hit the kind of obvious eyeball.

"Ever play a Zelda game?"

"Played one once a long time ago but know some stuff vaguely why does this matter?"

"It's the Queen Gohma boss fight from like, several games, you shoot the giant eye with whatever you got! Best way to stun it and do damage, but ranged attacks are the way to go."

"...Wait, I thought we were told to not blind it or anything like that?"

"No matter what you do that thing is going to stumble around and all with whatever hits it, that's just unavoidable, just try to direct the thing away from civilians, since that is practically impossible to avoid at this point!"

Sparky just shrugged before she took off into the air, her arms crackling with electricity as she proceeded to throw a lightning bolt at the demon thing. Her first shot didn't exactly hit her target like she wanted to, but she did manage to stun the creature for the moment, so it did hold still long enough for her to get another shot off. This time her shot did hit the eye dead on, and managed to damage it, and the eye looked like it might have been fried a bit by her attack, which was a good thing.

EARTH 257 - 6:30 AM Nov. 15th, 2021 - London, England

Jubilee Park and Garden -

Luminous and Doom weren't turning up again, it seemed - the speedster had done a brief bit of fighting with Oliver, before completely clearing the area. Oliver would be able to tell that she had gone east, but beyond that, the only clue as to where she was going was from what Raynor had said - that Doom had asked Luminous to take him to the Nexus, wherever that was.

Niah shouting for the civilians to run was, shockingly, extremely effective. Maybe it was because the United Kingdom here was so used to the fae, but parents were scooping up their children and fleeing the park immediately now, snapping out of the initial shock and confusion. Of course, on such a crowded day it meant that even with people making an effort to evacuate, things still weren't great. In fact, there was a huge risk of trampling - particularly for small children, or for anyone really who might trip and get run over by the mad hoard of people trying to escape the park.

Now Matt, he did not have nearly an easy a time at his task. Gargantos had taken a bit of damage from Sparky's attack, looking a little fried in some areas, but its tentacles were just as deadly as ever before. The good news was that Matt would manage to touch Gargantos - the bad news was that it was because Gargantos flicked him away like he was just an annoying bug. However, that touch was enough and Matt managed to paralyze one of Gargantos' tentacles, the demon somehow screeching despite having no mouth as it realized it couldn't move the tentacle that had touched Matt.

Cass would manage to help some of the civilians flee to safety - namely, she was able to grab some little kids and roll with them out of the way of Gargantos' tentacles, as well as save some people who were almost trampled in the mad rush of people trying to escape the park.

Hopefully Oliver had given Maria permission to take some of his power, as she managed to successfully do so. Maria acquired Oliver's super-speed and would be able to use it to zip around, helping out civilians and greatly clearing out the park thanks to her newly enhanced speed. Of course, the side effect of the absorption also meant that Oliver would be feeling somewhat drained, as Maria had accidentally taken a portion of his life force as well. But I'm sure he wasn't using all of his life force anyways, right?

Bonnie wasn't used to Flynn disagreeing with her course of action. She knew that in video games, it was fine to target the eye itself - she had played a few herself after all. But here, there were so many civilians that she was worried that blinding the eye would only make its movements more erratic, putting more innocent people in danger. However, they didn't have time to argue about it. And thankfully, the team seemed to be focused on evacuation efforts, with a few working on attacking the demon itself.

She figured she'd be most helpful at evacuation, and Bonnie spotted an elderly couple in harm's way. She sprinted on over there, only to be blessed with terrible luck. Gargantos only had one of its tentacles paralyzed, leaving several of them free and flying around. The eyeball grabbed Bonnie and lifted her high into the sky - and then, Gargantos threw her across the park. Bonnie normally didn't scream. But she knew that a fall like this would be fatal for her child, if not herself. So she screamed.

Luckily, Amelia was a great catcher. "I've got you, mate!" she called out, flying on up to Bonnie and catching her. She was holding Bonnie bridal style, a modern day Superman as she floated gently down to the ground and set her friend down carefully. "Might not be a bad idea for you to get out of here, to be honest - what with the babe and all," Amelia pointed out. As much as she was reckless and put her own life in danger, Amelia knew that not everyone could afford to do that - and Bonnie definitely couldn't right now.

"I'm fine, I'm not going anywhere," Bonnie insisted stubbornly, though her hands were shaking. She was prideful, but she wasn't dumb - she knew that had been too close for comfort.

Amelia raised an eyebrow, before flying back up into the sky. She wished she had something like super strength or the like - it would make fighting the eyeball much, much easier. There was only so much she could do by blowing wind at him. However, now that it was decreed okay to blind the eyeball, Amelia did get an idea. There was a reason she wore goggles when she was doing stunts and skydiving and the like - maybe if she blew a ton of wind in the demon's face(?) she could force the eyeball to close its lid, allowing people with a little more power to get in some good hits.

Amelia summoned up a gigantic gust of wind and sent the wind flying at Gargantos - at first, it seemed like it might've worked... but then Gargantos just turned around and started trying to attack the fleeing civilians, the wind just buffeting its back(?) now. "Bloody cunt," Amelia cursed.

Raynor grit his teeth. "I hate magic," he muttered, before instantly imagining his cousin ridiculing him for that statement. He wished that he had been better at crafting hard light constructs - that he could throw a light spear at the eyeball - but he didn't have that power. His father had been brilliant at it. So instead, Raynor threw his dagger, Lyting, aiming for the center of the eyeball. The dagger missed and Raynor held out his hand, calling Lyting back to him.

He threw the dagger again, not giving up - but Gargantos grabbed Raynor, squeezing him in its grip and keeping him from breathing. The demon was enraged, recognizing an Asgardian god. Gargantos hated gods. The demon screeched, making its intentions clear. It wasn't interested in hurting other people now. It just wanted to kill Raynor.

Chaos was everywhere still as Cassandra watched the civilians trying to flee from the area while the massive demon continued to attack the people by throwing various things at the crowd. Her attention turned towards some kids, seeing them all scared and crying looking for their parents. She noticed one of Gargantos' tentacles was about ready to slam onto the ground where they were right now as Cass quickly charged forward towards them, barely manageing to rescue them from getting crushed as Cassandra rolled out of the way with them in her arms. She spotted a couple who were trying to look for their kids and quickly handed them over to them.

"Find somewhere safe now." Cassandra said gesturing towards one of the nearby store fronts that could be safe to hide in. Cass' attention turned towards Gargantos as the massive demon was fighting against Raynor and managing to grab onto him, she quickly ran forward climbing up the tentacle that was holding Raynor. "I got you Raynor." Cass said as she managed to pry the tentacle off of him as Gargantos' released Raynor to the ground and Cass landing right next to him.

"Sorry Oli i'll give you a bunch of twinkies later or something or whatever food you want later." Maria said to Oliver as she could feel his super speed now, and she quickly dashed off to grab as many civilians as possible. Maria scooped two people at a time as she escorted them out of the area and towards somewhere safe, doing the process several times now before taking a moment to catch her breath. Maria closed her eyes for a moment and sighed slightly to catch her breath, her attention turned towards Gargantos.

Maria quickly zipped through the chaos and managed to get up and close to the tentacle that was hanging limply thanks to Matt, as she tried to absorb the demon's life-force and powers. Though she quickly started to feel slightly off, and released it taking a few steps backwards, as a lot of pain happened around her forehead, as horns suddenly grew out of her skull. Maria then felt something sprouting out from her lower back, as a demonic tail appeared from her lower back, she quickly looked at her reflection and saw that her eyes had turn red as well to. "Lovely, hopefully none of this is permanent." Maria said to herself really.

People were running. That was good. They were not going to get to safety fast enough. There would be lost life. She pushed that aside. She wasn't the only one trying to get the civilians to safety. It was a good thing they weren't in the Iron still. This would have gone very differently. Or maybe the Iron's police showing up would be good. They were no slouches.

Niah kept evacuating. She wasn't as good as Oliver or Maria could be at it. But at least she could help. She noticed Maria looking demonic. "Maria, stop messing around." She couldn't help but crack a smile. If that was permanent, she was just imagining Novi's face.

Matt felt like he had been hit by a bus. Thankfully, he hadn't broken any limbs. And he didn't think anything internal was damaged either. There was no way that thing had put all its effort into throwing him. Probably because the tentacle he had touched had gone paralyzed. He smiled, nodding to himself.

Matt ran back into the fray. Going for another tentacle. He wanted to hit this thing as hard as he could. If knocking out tentacles would slow it down, that was perfect. His hand hit the tentacle and released as much of his paralytic as possible. Thankful for the ability to control it at all. This time he didn't get swatted away like a fly. Maybe because it was really distracted with the others. Or maybe because the paralytic took faster, and it couldn't get a swipe out.

Risking broken bones, Matt dashed for another tentacle.

Slow. That was exactly how Oli felt once his lifeforce had been drained out of him, and not even in the way that he'd felt when his powers had been inhibited, more like a nasuea, where parts of his body and mind knew how to, and even still were traveling fast. The incongruence made him feel sluggish and awful in a way that was difficult to describe, and all he could do was force out, "Please never do that again." as he stumbled around on feet. He looked towards the eye, intent on speeding towards it, but found himself incapable of doing so.

"You know what? Fuck it." He said, drawing the laser sword and lining up the blade with the eye. He wasn't getting up close to that thing, not when he didn't have reliable access to his powers. Instead, he would chuck a lightsaber into the eye of a massive demon, because that's what his life was now apparently. Throwing, he technically wiffed, missing his target, but found purchase on one of its tentacles, severing the appendage from the damned beast.

Well this had escalated quickly, though to her it wasn't very surprising that the eye was clearly not happy with their attacking it. Though in their defense it did attack them first. Anyway, Sparky was just looking to try and score another hit or two, considering they wanted to deal with this thing rather quickly so that they could move on to going after the dynamic duo of Luminous and Doom again. This was getting to really be a bit of a headache and annoying really, but she flew up high again and started shooting lightning at it again.

Her first hit fried the eye yet again, severely injuring it with electricity once more as she went to try and hit it again. However her second shot was a lot less successful, considering the fact that the eye decided to lunge at her, which caused her to miss her shot and dodge out of the way. Thinking about it, she probably seemed a bit like a fly to the demon considering the fact that she was just sort of flying around it like a bug or something like that. Definitely was something to think about really. "This is getting really annoying."

Flynn was looking at the chaos that was occurring around him, namely the fact that the demon had decided to grab Bonnie and throw her across the park. He was about to go after her for a moment, before he saw Amelia floating down with Bonnie in her arms, having caught her and prevented her from getting hurt. Letting out a sigh of relief, he turned towards the demon again, clearly more then annoyed at the thing. It really needed to go down before someone else ended up getting hurt by it.

The nice thing about his powers, was that he tended to be able to fuel the fire he generated with his anger at times. This seemed to be one of those times. His first attack wasn't the greatest of shots, but it did do some damage as it seemingly burned one of the tentacles that it had. The second one though, that one was a giant burst of fire that shot straight at the thing, seemingly burning it severely and causing a lot of damage to it.

EARTH 257 - 6:40 AM Nov. 15th, 2021 - London, England

Jubilee Park and Garden -

Gargantos was severely damaged - the demon would likely be forced to dematerialize and crawl back to whatever hell it had come from shortly. Matt went in to paralyze another tentacle, but his moves were sluggish. Not too long ago, that would've been a chance for the demon to fling him across the park, but due to Gargantos' injuries, it was the most the demon could do to just move its tentacle out of the way. Niah wasn't doing too bad a job at civilian herding - luckily, most of the park was evacuated by now, with some stragglers just at the edges.

Raynor nodded at Cass - he was grateful that she had helped, but his ego was a little bit wounded. Not to mention he was perpetually stressed ever since they had landed back in this universe. All he wanted was to be home with his baby girl, not here forced to confront the sins of his past. Everything he hated about himself, he had learned here. The only things in his life that had any meaning were from Earth!666 - his Sparky and his daughter.

He mustered up his strength and blasted light straight at Gargantos. The civilians were pretty much all evacuated now, so he didn't care. "Nice look," he grunted at Maria. His light beam crashed into Gargantos, the eyeball now bleeding what looked like black goop. It would only take about one hit more or so to send the demon packing.

"Has that happened before, mate?" Amelia called out, admittedly curious about Maria's demonic transformation. Gargantos didn't seem to have many working tentacles left - just one, really. She sent a gust of wind at Gargantos, but it didn't really seem to do much at all to the demon. The demon was more or less ignoring Amelia like a pest, screeching in pain and not really doing much at all to attack.

Amelia tried again to send a blast of wind fast and angled almost, so as to be cutting - this time, the air sliced through Gargantos' last tentacle, black blood oozing and dripping onto the street. The demon was completely vulnerable now. All it would take would be one good blow and the demon would be gone. "Someone want to finish this cunt?"

Bonnie was staying back and out of the way, assisting with the last few people who were having trouble fleeing Jubilee Park. She wasn't going to stop doing her job, she wasn't going to stop helping people, but she also wasn't stupid. She knew that Gargantos could have killed her with one of its tentacles - and she anticipated that the eyeball probably had ways to fight without its tentacles anyways. But more importantly, she wasn't the only one her body was keeping alive at the moment.

"Your welcome by the way Raynor." Cassandra said to Raynor as she turned to stare at Maria seeing the weird horns and tail and the red eyes, as she stared at the massive demon that looked like it was almost dead now thanks to everyone else' teamwork against it. Her attention turned towards Bonnie as her friend went to help out with getting the remaining stragglers off to safety and quickly went over to help her out. She had watched her getting thrown through the air by Gargantos and she was worried for her.

Cass helped them get back to safety as the rest of the civilians were mostly out of the danger zone now Amelia used her powers to attack it cutting off the last tentacle. She just hoped that the thing would return to wherever it came from since it was just a giant floating eye now.

Maria turned to stare at Niah she rolled her eyes and gave a slightly annoyed huff. "Hey it's not like I can actually choose what I want from people that I touch it's sometimes random!" Maria said with an annoyed voice as she turned towards the massive demon and drew out her bow firing off two explosive arrows but they both ended up going wide and missing their target as Maria stared at Raynor and gave him the finger.

Maria gave a slight shrug towards Amelia. "Sometimes it's a power that I actually need, sometimes it's a completely different power, sometimes it's a psyche, but taking on an appearance like this? Nope that hasn't happened before." Maria answered Amelia's question, she had learned thar Syphon tended to steal other people's powers quiet a lot and learned to take on more than one, unlike her old self where she usually was able to take on one power at a time.

Niah smiled a bit as Maria was obviously frustrated. She did not blame her, but she was only teasing. The fight was winding down. That was good. It was almost dead, between Matt just straight up paralyzing the thing and a whole lot of damage from the others. Matt's power could be useful. She hadn't really considered his skills much before now. Compared to her, he was a powerhouse. All of her power was focused on investigation. She had nothing that could be used as defensive or offensive.

Niah didn't start walking back toward the group yet. She spotted Bonnie on the periphery and headed toward her. "This was a good distraction." She expected some police force at any moment to show up and start asking questions. The inevitable delay was already frustrating.

"Okay, but maybe we should speed this up?" Matt said, trying to get the Cthulhian monster to stop moving. He hit it twice more with his paralytic, but it didn't seem to take. Maybe it had started to become immune, or he had reached some limit on his power?

Or maybe it was just this part of the thing wasn't susceptible to the paralytic. He sighed, pulled his gun from his holster, and shot the creature. The bullet was as useless as his power apparently was.

"Now what?"

Oliver was still feeling sluggish in that awful way, and the literal demon from hell was not yet dead. Eyeing his thrown sword, he figured if it worked once, it may work again. Running over to the weapon, he felt a kind of fear he didn't normally in fights. He usually had his speed to rely on, but now he didn't. He could defend himself from ordinary people sure, but his combat skills certainly were not enough to deal with something like this. His life was in profound danger at this moment, and he tried to shove that idea far out of his head as he reached his sword and gritted his teeth.

Once more, he threw the sword towards the eye of the beast. He knew he couldn't really get too close without risking himself more, and the nice thing about lasers what that they didn't care much about force applied. His mind flahsed briefly to thoughts of star wars, and how warriors such as the jedi should prefer dexterity over strength for that reason; the weapon does all the work. When he could run, that really did make this the perfect weapon for him. As it connected, the beast exploded into non-existence, filling the air with the stench of rotting eggs. He coughed, and retrieved his sword, stowing it away.

Sparky flew down from up in the sky and landed gently on the ground, looking a bit at the spot where the giant demon thing had just been. That was definitely a fun thing to deal with, but now they had other things to worry about. Namely the fact that they were in the middle of London, and had just taken down a decent sized threat, but they were left with no leads as to where they were going or how to now find Luminous and Doom. Not to mention how they likely were going to have to deal with the cops soon.

Flynn was sort of just glad the demon had disappeared and gone back to wherever it might be from, at least for the time being. However there was no way to guarantee that if they caught up to the crazy pair they were chasing that Doom wouldn't just summon it again. Actually, he wondered if Doom was potentially capable of summoning the full sized version of the demon. If that was going to happen, then they'd have waaaaay bigger problems then just catching them and dragging them back to their reality.

"Well, now that that is over with, we might want to see about getting out of here soon... And anyone else have any ideas as to where we can potentially find Luminous and Doom? I know something was mentioned about what they were after... But other then that we have absolutely nothing to go off on..." she said, looking around at the damage that had been done to the area, and thinking about potential ways that they might be able to catch up to the pair.

The chaos was over with now, and Flynn walked over to where Bonnie was, seeing as the last few people seemed to be evacuating the area in general. "You okay?" he ended up asking her, not entirely sure how she was after she had gotten sent flying by the demon. They had a million different things to deal with at this point, so who knew how this sort of thing overall was going to end, even still, he wanted to make sure that Bonnie was okay.

EARTH 257 - 6:50 AM Nov. 15th, 2021 - London, England

Jubilee Park and Garden -

There was a collective sigh of relief as Gargantos was slain, sent back to whatever dark depths it had emerged from. The fight had taken far longer than anyone would have liked, and the park was now empty, no more civilians remaining. Luckily, no one seemed to have really gotten seriously injured. Bonnie didn't feel amazing by any means, as Flynn came over asking her how she was. Athena's power was pretty much keeping her and the baby safe. "I've been worse," she told him with a grimace.

She paused for a moment, looking at him. For the moment, he seemed to be himself again. But she was aware of the ever present threat that their memories could be reverted and wiped. Professor X had helped them, but for how long? He had treated the symptoms, not the cause. And while they had a clue now as to what Luminous and Doom were after, they weren't much closer. Bonnie's only idea was that the main thing they both had in common was magic - so maybe this Nexus, whatever it was, had to be magic.

Their group didn't do great when it came to magic.

"Well gang, I'd say we absolutely smashed that," Amelia said, shaking her legs out a little bit. "Let's go over what we know, hmm? They went after a thing called a Nexus and... that's it. That's all we know. Unless one of the geniuses can tell us more? Can we just ring up Genosha and ask those mates to come pick us up? Or we could chill here, maybe get a spot of tea or something, that's what you do in London right?"

Amelia had absolutely no idea what they were supposed to do. None. Zero. Absolutely nothing. It felt like the universe had just been moving them from location to location so far, so she was honestly just waiting for something to show up and tell them what they needed to do next. Nothing she remembered as Aero was helping either, there wasn't anything about a Nexus or whatever back in the Blue.

"It's definitely some sort of magic shit," Raynor said. "But I've never heard of it. And I am guessing witch boy hasn't either, since he hasn't spat out a memorization of some OMEN text?" he added somewhat harshly, referring to Flynn. He was happy that the demon had been dispersed, but also frustrated. They had been in this world way too long. He wanted to be home with his kid, not here chasing down Doom and Luminous. Raynor didn't care if they stayed in this world after all. This world didn't matter to him.

"You are correct, of course, it is some magic shit," a blonde woman dressed in a red suit with a blue cape said, as she stepped into view. Her form was strangely glowing, and those who had seen it before would realize that she was astral projecting. Her name was Amanda Sefton, ally of the X-Men, foster sister and girlfriend of Kurt Wagner (yes, sister and girlfriend...). But in this world, Amanda was the Sorcerer Supreme, Master of the Mystic Arts.

"Doom and Luminous' plans threaten all realities at a time where the walls between universes has been made thin and fragile," Amanda said, not giving anyone a beat to question who she was. "You must seek out the Nexus in New Asgard. Protect her at all costs and I will see you safely home to your reality. Fail and there will be no reality to return to."

"Goodie...dire warnings." Niah sighed. She glanced at Raynor. How would he handle it if they had to go to New Asgard? She walked over to Oliver. He was sluggish compared to his normal speed. Maria had drained him enough to cause that.

"You okay?" She asked. Matt had been tossed, but he seemed okay; same for Bonnie. Otherwise, no one had been hurt. That was pure luck. And they had a new lead from the Sorcerer Supreme. Niah repressed a smile at the thought. This was the only world she had been to yet where Dr. Strange wasn't the Sorcerer Supreme. But she knew that wasn't always true.

Matt rejoined the others. With the Cthulian nightmare gone, the second of as many days for him, they could start making their next plans. He frowned at the woman. He didn't know who she was. He glanced around the group to see if the others thought this woman was trustworthy. But with that warning, they had no choice but to trust her at least a bit.

"What can you tell us about the magic thing?" Matt didn't know much about magic. All his interaction with it had been with the Secret Warriors. And that was limited. No one in the group did anything considered magic. Raynor was the one to most likely understand what was being talked about.

Cassandra watched as the demon suddenly exploded into guts, probably sent back to wherever it had came from, as she looked over at Oliver. "Nice job there Oli." Cassandra said to Oliver with a smile as she looked at the rest of her team as she walked over towards them, she crossed her arms over her chest as she thought about what their next move right now was. The only thing that they knew where Doom and Luminous were headed was for something called 'The Nexus' whatever that thing actually was, She looked over towards Raynor maybe he knew since he was Asgardian and whatnot.

But sadly he didnt know what it was as she sighed slightly and shrugged, she was pretty sure that SHIELD didnt know anything about it really either. When a woman suddenly approached them, she stared at the woman whatever it was that they were searching for was obviously a major threat then it seems but at least it was a lead of some kind. Cass then turned to look at Bonnie, she was alright which was a good thing. "You still have the thing that Manifold gave you? We can contact him and then go over to New Asgard from there?" Cassandra asked her before turning to Amanda Sefton's astral projection "Unless you are willing to get us there?" Cass asked her either way they had a new lead on where they needed to go now, and it happened to be where Raynor was from originally.

Maria stared at the remains of their demon friend as she looked over at the others as she walked up to them, she took a moment to look over at Oliver. "Sorry about that I didnt mean to take that much out of you." Maria said to Oliver feeling slightly bad for just taking it suddenly without his permission. But innocent people were at risk and they needed to get them all out of danger as quickly as possible, she ran a hand through her hair and looked towards Amelia. "Haven't the slightest clue what that thing is that Doom and Luminous mentioned." Maria said to Amelia with a slight shrug.

Then she turned to see a woman approaching them seeing that she was astral projecting herself, warning them what Doom and Luminous were looking for was very dangerous. "Well looks like we are heading to your home now." Maria said looking over at Raynor nudging him slightly as she turned to look at the woman. "Who are you anyway?" Maria decided to ask her.

Oliver Sullivan

Jubilee Park and Garden
Skills:

Oliver turned his head as the Sorceress Supreme explained the situation and made a small "hum" noises. He piped up quickly, "Not to try to get inside the mind of two psychopaths, but why are they trying to do this?." Oliver asked. There was a reason arsonists didn't burn their own houses down, and it was because they lived there. "Presumably they don't want to destroy reality, on account of them having to continue to exist inside it and all."

Oliver really had to learn not to talk to incredibly powerful people like they were idiots, and he didn't mean offense, but it seemed like they were often either withholding information, or not sure of things themselves. This is why mission briefings were written down, over many pieces of paper, because details mattered. He knew that time was of the essence, but this seemed pertinent. Incongruities in the motivations and actions of people could be leveraged against them, and save bloodshed from occurring.

"Alright, as long as you're sure Bonnie..." Flynn said, giving her a smile as he looked over at the group as everyone was trying to figure out what to do. They were unsure of what they were even trying to prevent Doom and Luminous from doing. Whatever it was involved the Nexus, whatever the hell that was, things weren't exactly very common knowledge since they still weren't entirely certain how this reality really worked. Yup, this was a bit strange in general.

Sparky was just sort of half listening to the conversation, as she was wondering how they could potentially track down Doom and Luminous. That was the problem, knowing where they were or where they were headed. The getting there was the easy part, actually they had more ways to get places then they seemed to think. It didn't take a whole lot for them to be able to travel to different places, as long as it was the same reality, not across realities. That they would obviously still need help with.

Some woman decided to show up using magic, and Flynn looked at her as she decided to give her equivalent of a dire warning. Basically they didn't stop Doom and Luminous, the universe was screwed. However one thing about what she said struck him, "Wait... You just said her, so the Nexus is a person and probably sounds like an Asgardian or close to it since we'd be going to New Asgard... Which basically throws out the window what seemed people thought that the Nexus was an object. That's an important distinction."

"Not to mention, if anyone would potentially know who the Nexus is or where the Nexus would be in New Asgard, probably would be the people there, and they probably have an idea of sorts about magic and all there too," Sparky pointed out to the others, before looking at Amanda. "Since you only gave us that bit of info, guessing you aren't likely to give us too much more, so in my opinion the best course of action is just getting to New Asgard and keeping an eye out for Doom and Luminous and maybe figure out who the Nexus is..." She started to fidget a bit with the ring on her hand, as it started to glow a bit. "So let's just get to New Asgard." There was a flash of light, and suddenly the group would find itself somewhere unfamiliar.

They'd be able to see almost what looked like some of the homes and palaces you'd imagine on Asgard. However they had smaller cottages mixed into the area, and each one seemed to be a bit far between. Actually, if they looked, they'd notice that they ended up in front of one of the cottages that seemed to be overlooking the rest of the area.

EARTH 257 - 7:00 AM Nov. 15th, 2021 - London, England

Jubilee Park and Garden -

The Sorceress Supreme smiled at Oliver, but gave him no answer. At least, that would be how it appeared to the others. In Oliver's mind, however, he suddenly saw. He could see futures stretching out in front of him like a long and winding path. At first, there were Doom and Luminous, arguing, the conflict escalating into a fight, a fight that Luminous did not survive. Then, Doom sneaking up on a figure with blonde curls and a green cloak. The images were flashing, going faster now. Doom, surrounded in a triumphant green glow. Doom, at the head of a vast army of Doombots. Heroes, failing to unite against him. Innocent civilians killed in the streets. Reality burning. The dead screaming, rising from their graves. The Celestials delivering Judgment. Doom, seeking a force from Beyond. Doom, ascendant; reality fallen. Worlds destroyed. Realms obliterated. Nothing remained. Nothing but Doom.

"I cannot aid you more, Secret Warriors - my magics are focused on holding together the fabric of our reality, a task that should I stop would mean the unraveling of us all, a violent incursion which none would survive... in our universe or the next."

The Sorceress Supreme then vanished as mysteriously as she had appeared, without a moment's warning or explanation.

Of course, the Secret Warriors themselves vanished, thanks to Sparky's magic ring, only to appear again moments later in....

EARTH 257 - 8:00 AM Nov. 15th, 2021 - Odinskeep, New Asgard

The time difference from London to New Asgard was hardly noticeable - it was still early morning, with the sun climbing in the sky. The architecture, however, was considerably different. For the most part, the buildings resembled something you would see in a Legend of Zelda game - cute little cottages, the sort of things that would pop up in a charming fantasy village. There were also what looked like grand palaces and magnificent Asgardian structures, adding in a bit of a Percy Jackson sort of vibe.

In short, New Asgard looked like no other place they had ever been to before - except, perhaps, Asgard itself.

The signs were all written in the native tongue of the Asgardians, meaning that to everyone except for Raynor, they were unintelligible. However, Raynor didn't need to read the signs to know where they were. He knew that they were in Odinskeep - the capital city - where his cousin still lived - the seat of power from which his aunt, the All-Seer, ruled. Raynor's insides twisted with discomfort, feeling the eye of Queen Sif upon him. He knew that she knew he was here. He knew that she knew every unspeakable thing he had done. Immense shame filled Raynor as his shoulders tensed. He hated this place, because it reminded him how much he hated himself.

His parents were THE It couple of Asgard - beautiful Baldur and gorgeous Nanna. They were so perfect, pure, and sweet that when Baldur died, his mother died not too long after, unable to be without her husband. His brother, Forseti, was a kind and just judge, delivering justice to all who should seek it out.

And then there was Raynor. The habitual liar. The charming narcissist. The mercenary. The terrorist. The violent and depraved prodigal son. The stain upon Baldur the Beautiful's shining legacy.

Bonnie noticed the angry silence that had overcome Raynor, and while she didn't particularly like him, she wasn't ignorant to the pain that he must have been in. He deserved that pain, though - for the unspeakable crimes that he had committed. And Bonnie knew that opinion wasn't an influence of this world, it was one that she would still hold back on Earth!666. People needed to be held accountable for their actions. Raynor needed to atone for his sins. His victims deserved justice. "I agree - the witch's words implied that we were supposed to protect a person, rather than a thing," Bonnie said, continuing the conversation that had started before Sparky transported them.

"And how are we gonna find this person?" Amelia asked. She had been in the Operations Academy, but investigations had never been her strong suit. She was a pilot and a daredevil to her core - the sneakier things never really held her interest. "Or Doom or Luminous? Like, the minute we saw them, they just buggered off and left us with the world's grossest eyeball demon. Maria still looks like she's trying out for a part in American Horror Story!"

"Raynor, is there someone here who you think we should go to for help? Or someplace where magical types tend to gather?" Bonnie asked. She knew that the wizards in their world had different sanctums that they would dwell in, and she imagined there might be something analogous here in New Asgard. Someone here had to know who the Nexus was. Or at the very least, someone ought to have seen Doom and Luminous running about. She didn't doubt that the speedster had already carried Doom here.

Raynor huffed, but nodded. He turned his gaze, staring at the cottage they had appeared in front of. Of course they had ended up here. He bet his cousin had meddled somehow, finding this funny. "We're at her house," he said cryptically.

Amelia then did a double take, almost screaming from surprise. She had seen a shadow cast on the ground that was large, and she had thought it was just a low flying plane - or maybe an Asgardian flying about. But when she looked up, she saw a gigantic and absolutely massive wild dragon. It didn't pay them any attention, and no one else wandering around the streets of Odinskeep seemed to stop and stare. It was clearly a normal occurrence. "Bloody hell, you lot just casually have dragons...."

Niah blinked. Wondering how Sparky's ring had brought them here. She looked around, taking it all in. She hadn't caught that the Sorcerer Supreme had said 'her,' but the others brought her attention to it. Add Raynor saying they were at her house, and Niah guessed they might be at Nexus' house. But he had implied he didn't know what Nexus was, so she thought it might be another her.

"Cool dragons." Niah said, looking up. "Alright, who's house?" She asked, going on the bet that this wasn't Nexus' house. She focused on the house, trying to notice anything special about it. She wanted to take off her glove and touch the door handle. But that would be really obvious what she was doing. Raynor was guilty of a lot. She wondered if New Asgard would be okay with him being here. He certainly wasn't okay with it.

Matt blinked from the flash of light. It was disorientating. The memories that had been intruding on him had given him an idea of New Asguard. But it still wasn't what he had expected. He looked up at Amelia's shout. It was cool seeing a dragon. He really hoped they wouldn't have to fight one.

He was bruised from the fight with the tentacle demon. "Hope Asgard is okay with Maria's new look." He said, trying to lighten the mood some. He hoped Raynor would know who they could talk to. He had a feeling it would be a mess.

Cassandra Reed

Location: Odinskeep, New Asgard Earth 257
Skills: N/A

Cassandra looked at Sparky for a moment as she used a magic ring and then they were suddenly in a new location as she looked around the area. It sort of reminded her of n64 Legend of Zelda Orcarina of Time she wasnt sure when Sparky had actually gotten that thing from before as she took a moment to look around the area. The people didnt even bat an eye whenever a dragon flew over the sky which was really interesting to see actually.

Cass took a moment and looked at Raynor, who seemed to be a little bit tense being here. "Whenever you are ready to go Raynor." Cassandra told Raynor, she just hoped that Luminous and Doom didnt suddenly appear here either, after they had just gotten here. "The sooner we find out who the Nexus is and deal with Doom and Luminous the quicker we can get out of here." Cassandra said to them, hopefully the Asgardians here wont attack them or anything like that.

"Cool ring you got there, when did you get it?" Maria asked looking over at Sparky as they had suddenly teleported to a completely new location, she watched as a dragon suddenly flew overhead as she looked at Amelia and Matt giving them a slight eyeroll towards them. "Go ahead and start making horny jokes to if you want." Maria said jokingly as she gently patted Raynor on the shoulder as she looked around the area.

"So are your friends here friendly?" Maria decided to ask looking at Raynor, she was pretty sure that he didn't really want to talk about the people he used to live with before moving to their reality. "Maybe you can fly alongside Drogon over there." Maria said to Amelia referencing to Daenerys's favorite dragon from Game of Thrones.
