many greetings!! the name’s rumham, and i’m pretty much as new to the site as can be, lol. through many cyber-wanderings i happened upon the site; and, being interested in roleplay and writing, decided to give it a shot. here’s to seeing how it goes!!
Writing Experience
though i’m fresh off the womb (so to say) when it comes to forum roleplaying, i’m not totally clueless: starting in the far-off year of 2017, i’ve got around five and a half years of experience in writing-based roleplay, mostly free-form; when it comes to more traditional tabletop games, i’ve only gotten into them recently. most of my experience consists of either 1-on-1 or small groups — but that doesn’t mean i’m afraid of more ambitious ideas
outside of roleplaying, i’ve been working on a novel wip for about a year; some smaller, shorter stories i’ve also done on the sides, but my main project remains my priority
Writing Preferences
the world of writing preferences is as vast as people are different; so, let’s take a dive!!
• 1-on-1, small groups, large groups; all welcome!
• depth and intricate lore and worldbuilding, while not a necessity, absolutely adds to the enjoyment
• fantasy is my darling dear in writing. historical, historical-based and nation roleplays also strike my fancy
• dark and mature themes are accepted to a degree
• average to longer paragraphs (expect proper capitalization while IC lol)
• particularly important: character development and theme!!
• above all, however, having fun is the most important to me. though i’d love to live off writing someday, it for now remains a hobby; so, let’s enjoy ourselves while it lasts!!
OOC and IC interactions are to be kept separate!! any discussions in The Game of Roles are fiction, and fiction only. please don’t take it personally!
Of Me
i really enjoy writing and worldbuilding, and find great joy in both of them. history is also a great love of mine, the middle ages and antiquity holding special places in my heart. languages and linguistics also interest me a lot: as of writing, i speak four!! i’ve played the electric bass for four years, and am trying to get into fitness
if you’ve read this far, thank you greatly!! i’m kinda really shy, so things such as these usually take me a bit to take in. i’m really glad to be here, and excited to see what stories we weave together!!
