⚀ First and foremost, listen to all established site rules: This is self-explanatory, I know, but I feel like it still needs to be stated. Respect and listen to all staff members of RPGuild.
⚁ Do not metagame/god mode/or whatever you might call it. If we have an OOC discussion and it is not stated otherwise, that means your character/while you are writing IC does not know that particular information. Ruining the fun for everyone else makes it not fun for you or others.
⚂ GM and Co-GMs always have the last and final decisions. That's final. Please do not argue with the decisions that are made. You can privately discuss with the GM or/and Co-GMs about the decisions made (which will not be a public matter anyways) to dispute.
⚃ Replies will follow the unspoken casual guidelines. If you do not know what this means, it means no one-liners. Please reply with at least a paragraph (or five+ sentences). Another unspoken rule is to wait for at least one person to post in between your posts. Post Deadlines will be requested to make at least one post every 2 weeks.
⚄ A world of reality or a slice of life. This means your character cannot just do anything and everything and not face consequences. This world will be similar to ours (or portrayed as similar to how our world is reflected through the TV series this is based on the most), meaning that consequences can be met by what your character does even in their free time, alone.
⚅ Participate! I do not just mean post one post by the bi-weekly deadline. Share your ideas. Not everything will be accepted or incorporated, but I and I bet others will love to hear the ideas you have. Maybe a future crime scene investigation? Or two characters maybe having a past and didn't realize they went to the same high school or whatever. It can be a small world out there sometimes. Just have fun and be creative!

Instant Warning Rule: Do not post graphic 18+ images/content. I understand that we are in a crime drama role-play, but others on this site do not wish to dip in here and see such content. I know we are all probably Criminal Mind, NCIS, Law and Order, or other TV series junkies who have seen it "all" in a sense, but we have to respect the site's rules and other people's innocence of not watching what we do. Everything has to be written out.
You can post an alleyway scene without the victim being in there. It is okay. Everyone gets the reference point.

We will be doing this by "chapter" in which a chapter is focused on one plot. Once the chapter is over, a new one will begin. Not all chapters will be about criminal investigations. They will vary significantly. This team will have NCIS level jurisdiction, meaning, they will sometimes operate outside of the U.S. to make this Role-Play a tad more interesting.

Due to the nature of her work, Francine feels a "level of familiarity that most cannot" with the victims who find their way onto her table - she learns everything about them, and she can't help but empathize with their life's journey that led them to her.

Although they haven't known each other long, Francine and Clara became fast friends.
Francine moved into the spare room of Clara's apartment upon moving to Baltimore, and the women quickly grew close.

Dr. Sean Murphy - Father
Her favourite parent - she's definitely a "daddy's girl."

As a surgeon, Sean was the sole reason that Francine wanted to become a doctor, although it confused him when she told him that she didn't want to work on living people, claiming that she "wasn't sure that she could handle the pressure" after seeing how stressed he could be when he returned home some days.

Detective Miranda Murphy - Mother
The disciplinarian between the parents; this is due to her no-nonsense attitude that allowed her to excel in the police force. Francine loves her mother dearly, and holds a deep respect for her.

Alexander Murphy - Younger brother
Francine is almost 20 years her brother's senior. Alexander was adopted into the family shortly after Francine left for college, much to her chagrin; due to her being away for so long, she never got the chance to bond with him as he was forming his close familial bonds, and so barely feels like his sister, instead comparing herself as a "disconnected cousin."

This doesn't mean she doesn't love him, however: She would "burn the world down for him" if anything ever happened to him.

Dr. Jason "Jay" Curtis - Ex-husband
Francine and Jason attended college together and married fresh out of their senior year. They remained married until Francine received news that she was to be transferred to the other side of the country to attend her current position - Because of his own career, Jason refused to move with her. Although she was disappointed, she understood and left without him.

While the end of their relationship was semi-amicable, the stress from the current proceedings of their divorce has caused the two to argue almost every time they speak.

Why were you hired/recruited?
When a member of a major drug cartel wanted for murder and information surfaced in Las Cruces. Mateo, along with a BAU unit, was assigned to track him down. Eventually, finding him in an abandoned warehouse and after a firefight. They manage to arrest him. Mateo proved himself to be a valuable agent during the operation and impressed the BAU agents. Enough that later he was offered to join the BAU, which he accepted.

So there were some things I will say and others things I keep to my chest. You going to have to deal with that and maybe down the road, I will say what you want to know. Maybe. - Talking to someone about his past.

Mateo treats situational people in his life as friendly as he needs to be but does not allow himself to become attached to that person. Only when the person has his interest or it has become clear they are going to be in his life more than he thought. Does he allow himself to develop an attachment to them. Otherwise, he does not think much about the people he has met and will probably never see again most of the time.

Friendship

Vergil Thompson - A person that Mateo meets after moving to Baltimore and are on good terms with each other.

Family

Catalina Secada - Mateo's younger sister by a few years and the only family that he has left after the death of his parents. He would do anything to keep her safe if trouble arose. He keeps in contact with her.

Romanticships

Julia Issac - Mateo's former girlfriend whom he broke up with after it became clear that the two had grown apart from each other and things would not work. The end was amicable for both of them. Though he still thinks of her from time to time.

Background information
He was born in Colombia and moved to the States with his family when he was eight and is a naturalized citizen. Speaks both Spanish and English fluently. Hates drug cartels and has two scars. One on the palm of his right hand and another on his chest near his left bicep. This one clearly a bullet hole scar, and does not want to talk about how he got that one. Also is a surprisingly good mixologist.

Hey everyone! This RP will be starting and I hope you are all still interested. I'm apologizing for my absence, but I am getting back into the motion of things. My work boosted me from 16-20 hours to 32+ (along with myself as a full-time student) I was learning to juggle that for the past week. I quickly got into juggling it! I will have a starting post up by Wednesday night and then post looks will begin Sunday 26th - Sunday the 5th.
