His eyes widen, he stares down at her shifting form.
What had he done? How had he not noticed, when all the signs had clearly been there? An angel..
He wants to pull away, to jump back and out of her reach, away from the creature that should be his enemy, but- just as in the cell, something compells him to resist his instincts, to stay right where he is, unmoving.

She kept him in the shade, standing up and wrapping one if his arms around her shoulder, heading for a forest were they could be shaded and in light at the same time

He follows her lead as if in a trance, mind racing and yet empty at the same time. He knows he's leaning onto her, wondering how she can hold his weight when mere hours ago, she couldn't even stand, but the light of day had clearly worked it's magic on her, possibly quite literally.
He let's her guide him until he can see the sun starting to set, painting the sky purple and pink and orange with it's rays. Only then does he come back to himself somewhat. It is time for them to find shelter.

She walks into a forest, and there was a cabin there that was half concealed in shadows, and half that was not, she plopped down into the unshaded side after putting him into the shaded side, she sat down, letting her wings, tail, and halo disappear, she leaned her head back and closed her eyes, panting quietly

He can't stop looking at her. Even now, seeming almost human, she is a sight to behold as she is bathed in the golden light of an early sunset. He doesn't question how she'd found the cabin they are in now, chalks it up to her angelic powers - finding shelter certainly seemed fitting for a creature like her. Instead, his mind keeps racing, wondering why fate decided to bring the two of them, and in a place like that. Wonders how long she'd already been there, before they captured him in his moment of carelessness. Wonders what they'd done to her, if they'd known what the dark would do to her, if they had planned it. Wonders what will happen next, now that they're free.

She had fallen into a light slumber, even though her body was physically recovered, her mental body still needed rest, she would wake at the slightest of sounds, but now she seems to peaceful, almost as if nothing had happened

He watches the sunlight play across her skin as it sinks, then sets. With night taking over and darkness rising, he once again feels his blood sing in his veins with powers. There is no need to conceal himself, so he lets them take over - huge, leathery wings breaking from his shoulder blades, unfurling with a strange, foreign rustle, horns growing out from his temples, twisted and curling like those of wild sheep, and a pointed, leathery devil's tail growing from his tailbone, swishing across the ground. The red glow of his eyes give off an eerie, otherworldly shine, focused only on the sleeping form of his- of the angel on the ground. Her purity, her innocence are an offense to his entire being, a polar opposite to everything he'd ever embody. And yet, the humans had treated them just the same, caught them like wild animals, locked them away, for nothing but their nature. A low growl escapes his throat, his snarl revealing sharp, pointed fangs.
Ridiculous, stupid humans. To be so caught up in their own hubris, to think they'd even have the slightest chance against heaven or hell, not to mention both at the same time.

She shifted in her sleep, letting out a single, soft grunt as she fell back asleep, her skin soaking up all the light it could before night fell

There is nothing he can do without leaving the cabin, so instead he keeps watch, listening to all of the sounds of the world on the outside in an attempt to forget about what lies on the inside. The creatures of the night seem to go about their lives, hiding, hunting, keeping out of sight either way. It is quite calming, and soon he finds himself drifting through the night, neither awake nor asleep. Time seems to stretch, to constrict, to flee from his notice in a way he cannot describe, until the sun starts rising again.

She starts to wake, her bright green eyes blinking open, she slowly sat up, stretching with the slightest wince as she yawned

It takes some time to come back to himself, but he can feel the angel stirring, and that is his sign. He calls his senses back inwards, observes for a moment his own heartbeat, his own breathing, before opening his eyes again. The cabin is too bright for his liking, even in the early light of dawn, and he hisses in disdain. He blinks, blinks again, his eyes losing their glow, their redness, returning to an almost human shade of brown, wings and horns and tail retracting until there is no trace of them left. Only then does he turn towards the stirring angel.
"You're awake."
It's not a question, and yet, he can't help himself hoping for an answer.

She nodded, saying a soft "Morning.." her voice was musical, she heard a twig snap outside and her body instantly tensed, she stood and walked outside, her body ready for attack as she listened, she relaxed when she realized it was just a deer, she let out a loud gasp that ended up a choke as a arrow suddenly was pierced into her hand, she let out a silent cry, falling to her knees on the ground and pulling her hand to her chest, knowing that she could not heal why the arrow was in her hand, we stood back up, legs wobbly
