Who are You? "Hi! My name is Kimi Hasegawa. But please, just call me Kim. It's nice to meet you. I am twenty seven years old, and I work as a Forensic Auditor.
...OK, I know that profession sounds boring, but it's thanks to the skills I learned from that job that I know how to do a proper investigation. Especially if finance is involved.
How long have you been in the city?
Believe it or not, I was born in this city. But my parents decided it was best we move away for some reason. I don't really know why though. I was only seven years old at the time we moved away. I remember being so upset when I was told the news.
As for how long I've been here now? Only a couple of weeks. Still kind of trying to settle in, but things have been quite busy. I moved back to this city not just for the job I got here, but because of the mystery that drew me here.
How did you learn about the supernatural?
Wow. Uh...I'm still kind of reeling from that...
Right. Zeke, my childhood friend, sent me a letter. It read he wanted to talk to me about something important and asked to meet with me at a specific location. Once I finished moving back to the city, I went to that meeting spot at the specified location and time.
...I was attacked. The attackers...definitely weren't human. I don't know if that meeting was a trap set to kill me or not, but either way, I was able to get away.
Since then, I've been careful to not go out at night alone, and always carry a taser around. But...while that attack was scary, I'm now even more curious. The fact I was attacked at that meeting spot can't be a coincidence...
What's going on here?
Why is this city worth saving?
This city is worth saving because there are good people who live here. That should be reason enough for anybody.
What mystery are you currently investigating?
You know that letter I mentioned earlier? I got it back before I moved back to Corvus Bay. Apparently there was something important he wanted to talk to me about. However, when I tried to meet up with him after I officially moved back to the city, I couldn't find him anywhere. It was like he vanished into thin air.
I'm really curious. What did he want to talk to me about? Why did he vanish? Where is he now?
Zeke is my childhood friend. I'm kinda worried about him.
Debts *Someone told you their secrets and you haven’t told anyone about them yet. They owe you 2 Debts. -When I was younger, a childhood friend of mine, Zeke, told me his secret. One of his parents, his mother, is a very beautiful fae. So, he is one of the fae as well. I didn't really know what that meant at the time. But I promised I would keep his secret, and I haven't told a single soul to this day. Besides, who would believe me if I wanted to tell someone?
*Someone thinks they’re protecting you, but it’s really more like you’re protecting them. You owe each other a Debt. -Kendra apparently had some sort of prophecy about me. It must have been scary, because she has been trying to protect me. I'm more than happy to protect them in turn.
*You’re leveraging dirt you have on someone to get their help with something. You owe them a Debt. -OPEN!
Aware Moves *Snoop: When you keep an eye out for trouble, roll with Mind. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. While you’re there, spend your hold to ask the MC questions, 1 for 1: -What’s my best way in/out? -Who or what here is not what they seem? -What happened here recently? -What here is the greatest danger to me? -Whose turf is this? On a miss, you find yourself in over your head. The MC will tell you why this is a bad spot.
*Did Your Homework: When you put a face to a name with someone politically important (your call), roll with Mind instead of Faction. On a hit, you know a dangerous secret about them or their political machinations. On a 10+, you know how to leverage that information; take a Debt on them as well. On a miss, your snooping has already landed you in hot water with your target; they know you’ve been looking into their business.
*I Brought Friends: When you cash in a Debt with an NPC, add this option to the list: -Back you up in a dangerous situation

From Kim's debts: *Someone thinks they’re protecting you, but it’s really more like you’re protecting them. You owe each other a Debt.
Meanwhile, from Kendra's debts: You've had a dire prophecy about someone, but you don't know how to help them... yet. You owe them a debt.
I think either one or both of these would make for a fun dynamic between Kendra and Kim, with Kendra having a vision about Kim and, seeing her as a normal person who is likely to get mixed up in supernatural stuff, wants to protect her. But you know, because Kendra's, well, Kendra, she doesn't always do a great job at it, and Kim often has to help her out in turn.
They could also potentially know each other through Trinity. Kim seems like the kind of person Trinity would know at least in a professional sense.

Both of the debts sound fun! Let's go with both. XD
And yeah, I think Kim would definitely know Trinity from their careers, and Trinity most likely introduced Kim and Kendra to each other.
Someone convinced you to come to the city and help them with an ongoing problem. They owe you two debts.
Mortimer Croft - The Ghost of an English Magician who died during the Blitz. I was a lawn ornament in his families garden for over a century. He summoned me to Corvus Bay with his family magics but the crossing of the Atlantic broke the bonds which had been forged in the soil of England to hold my loyalty. I was used to serving so I still served until I realized I could make my own decisions.
