I just recently decided to get back into roleplaying in part because I missed roleplaying Teen Titans!! That was my JAM back in the day.

I have a character I've been wanting to resurrect but she's an OC. She's from an alternate timeline in which she's Star and Robin's daughter. Slade kills them both, and she gets away vowing to save them. She travels back to when they were teens, hoping to stop Slade early. Something goes wrong, and she ends up in the rp's current timeline. While this is my character's backstory, it does not have to be the focus of the rp's plot. I'm open to suggestions!

All canon and OCs welcome.

Additionally, I'm work-shopping her name - it used to be Firefly (because of her powers - I was a kid, and I thought I was being unique) but I realized there was already a Firefly in the Superhero universe so she needs a new name. Her name is currently Seraphina, but I'm not sold.

Although this might be the kind of superhero RP I've been looking for, I do have some questions before I confirm my interest.

What kind of tone would this be in? Regular Teen Titans, AKA humoristic but with dark undertones? More darker/lighter than that?

What kind of direction would the story go into? If you already have a plot in mind, don't spoil it, but is there for example a general goal to work towards, not just by your character?

How experienced and strong would the characters be, especially OCs? Would they be equal to a Titan, just below it or even fresh rookies?

And lastly, for your OC's hero name, what do you think of Solwing? A namesake forged from both her mother's name refering to a star, her father's other alias nightwing, as well as a reference to her own home system, Sol?

I'm thinking OG Teen Titans as far as tone and experience for canons. OCs would be that of their creator - is your character established in their abilities? Are they new and seeking the Titans for guidance? *Sol* is 18 and was just getting into the nitty part of training with her parents. While Robin worked with her some on combat, and Star some on honing her abilities, her real training had just started when they died.

As far as plot I don't have anything particular in mind. I'm open to any suggestions

Currently thinking of my character either being a grumpy dryad(or dryad-inspired character), or a street rat who's either a beastly experiment but still has human levels of sentience, or just has near uncontrollable psychic abilities initially and who doesn't usually use them because their uncontrollable. Or maybe a hero with wind powers who starts out being antagonistic/having a rivalry with at least one of the Teen Titans? I don't know, I just have a lot of ideas for this.

I'm certainly tentatively interested.

I have an idea for a magically inclined character that primarily dabbles in Pyromancy. I think I'd even write it so they tried to cover up they were a magic user by pretending to be a natural born pyrokenetic or something. Magic user could fill our mystic role, maybe got sent to the Titans by Constantine for some structure.

@HellHoundWoof My character's power is firebolts - that's her main ability, along with flight from her mom. She is able to shoot like Star, but it's fire instead of starbolts. She hasn't gotten far into her training yet, so she's very uncoordinated with it and to her knowledge that's all she can do

Maybe that could lend into your character's story - they are trying to keep their cover and Sol picks up on it, but only because she herself has questions about the use of fire and honing her abilities?

I think that would work really well to blow his cover. Especially since I need a way to force him off of just Pyromancy and have him do other cooler magics down the line. Do you have any ideas for the potential of Sol's powers later down the line?

I've always liked the idea of future versions of characters coming back in time for warnings/end of days scenarios, I think it'd be cool to see my guy fully developed out of fire and Sol fully developed into it talking to their younger selves.

@HellHoundWoof Yes, I'd like her to eventually discover she can do more than just shoot firebolts. Part of it will likely be due to stress/emotional imbalance - since Star and Robin hadn't gotten a chance to teach her how her powers can be nearly impossible to control in a highly emotional state if she doesn't know how to regulate them.

If you couldn't tell by Sol's backstory (which I will do better at explaining when I start the thread and post her full backstory) I'm so down with timetravel plots :) I would love for our characters to eventually band together, talk to their younger selves. I think that would be awesome!

Alright y'all - I'm gonna work on drafting my character stuff - I have to revamp Sol's backstory a bit. I might have to completely rewrite and rework it if I can't find the original to work from. I will also be working on character sheets, and drafting the main thread space. It'll take me a bit, because I'm also working on my short story entry but I'm not sure I'll get that finished in time. I only just saw it a couple of days ago so I'm not even sure I'll have anything worth submitting but it's worth a try. I say that to say it'll be a bit because these fingies will be busy.

@Dragonfly 9 I was counting you in, so glad to see you're still on board!!

Still working on getting everything drafted - I haven't even started on character sheets yet so you still have time to figure out who you'd like to play. If you can manage it, you can play more than one character so if there's a standstill in decision making you can do both if you wish. If you're a novice or not as comfortable juggling characters do not feel pressured to do more than one. Just know if you can't choose and you wish to do both that's perfectly acceptable.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you guys can totally ignore all of this. i'm just exploring/writing about character stuff here. :'D

Maximillion Barker "Max"/Loyal Friend:

Having been born in a timeline where a world-wide scale apocalypse happened to the world when he was just 11, Max had to learn very quickly how to survive and keep himself from dying horribly. Thankfully, he was in a rather large family, who helped him adapt pretty quickly to not attracting attention from the horrific monsters outside, and taught him how to be a survivor of the now hostile world.

Of course, this didn't last long.

A month after Max turned 12, he was sent by his family to get some left over medicine from a long abandoned store, due to his mom suddenly dying from a very fast acting illness that was from said monsters. He had to sneak his way past the many monsters prowling around in the wrecked neighborhood, and almost got killed by at least some of them. However, he finally reached the store after about a half an hour, and when the door didn't work, he tried to find other ways in. He was then suddenly knocked out by a man in a stained, white lab coat, who had been stalking him all the way to the store...

After that, Max still remembers some bits and pieces from here and there, but nothing concrete. His first real memory at that point was escaping the lab he was in for some reason, fighting the man in the stained lab coat, and rushing outside, feeling free for the first time in a while-

Then, he saw what he now looked like...

And it wasn't Max.

It was a monster, and not only that, but a monster who would've been right at home with the other monsters, who caused the apocalypse he'd been recently living through in the first place.

And.

He.

Screamed.

((Max is a very curious, yet also terrified and confused preteen. He's supposed to be 14, but acts like a 12 year old due to a rather large memory gap when the experiments on him took place, and he looks like a tall, fully grown beast, with parts from a whole bunch of different animals. He hates his new form, and wants to stop looking like a monster and scaring people, but he can't turn back. Believe me, he's tried. He tries to be kind and compassionate, and also tries to be gentle, but he's not really used to anything about his new form yet, and often intimidates people and acts out due to his overall confusion, anger, and fear. At the end of the day, he'd really just like to go back home to his family and never have to deal with the apocalypse ever again, but he just doesn't know how.

When he befriends the Titans and chooses to fight in order to protect people, he chooses the hero name "Loyal Friend", because that's all he wants to be for his newfound friends: a loyal friend.))
