Member Seen 8 mos ago

NAME: Loki (MARVEL), god of magic, fire, and lies.

Loki is the Norse trickster god. He is a complex and multifaceted deity known for his cunning, mischief, and shape-shifting abilities. He is both a friend and a foe to the other gods in the Norse pantheon, frequently causing trouble and chaos while also aiding them in various situations. Loki possesses strength, durability, and longevity far superior to humans. The most powerful sorcerer in all of Asgard, Loki's magical abilities include astral projection, shape-shifting, hypnosis, molecular rearrangement, energy blasts, levitating, conjuration, Cryokinetics, telekinesis and teleportation. In addition, Loki can connect to others telepathically and see into their memories, mystically imbue objects, and create rifts between dimensions. A master of manipulation and deceit, Loki is highly intelligent with immense knowledge and skill in wielding mystical artifacts, arcane lore, and human as well as alien technology. A highly-tactical thinker, Loki is able to manipulate opportunities and events in his favor; his cunning mind far exceeding Thor and Odin's. Loki, an expert combatant, typically wields throwing knives and other small blades.

Talyr
The Wandering Gourmand

Domain
Cooking

Description
Talyr is a deity which one would often called obsessed with her domain. She rarely cares about anything else that couldn't relate to cooking in some way. In some senses she's an incredibly active deity in influencing things, in that she will often actively seek out new ingredients from things recently created on the planet. She visits actual areas with mortals often, in order to either investigate what they are doing or to acquire ingredients in specific ways. In another sense she is a very inactive deity, very rarely interacting with anything outside of the context of trying to make new meals and have others try them. For whatever follows her obsession with their own there is a high chance of her appearing in some form to give inspiration to them to reach greater heights of creativity in the craft. While she rarely interacts outside of cooking, she seems to take a keen interest in other forms of discovery and exploration. After all creativity in creating new creatures from other gods, discovering areas where life may have flourished in some way from evolution, all of these things are fuel for more recipes for the goddess.

The Many-Eyed Monarch
The King of Eyes. The Living Cloud. The Immortal Hive. The Wandering Swarm.

Domain
Swarm

Description
The Many-Eyed Monarch is not a deity that usually inspires loyalty or adoration - though it may sometimes seek these things. If anyone worships the Many-Eyed Monarch, it is often either to bribe or appease them - in the hope that locusts won't devour their crops and bedbugs won't invade their mattresses. In the hope that the local beehives will produce ample wax and honey, that dragonflies will keep the local mosquito population trimmed down, and that spiders will entrap the more unwelcome visitors.

The Many-Eyed Monarch is neither malevolent nor benevolent. They are a force of nature, but that does not mean they lack personality or ambition. They are not overly-familiar with the morality of their fellow deities or that of sapient creatures, but they are nonetheless curious about them. They often attempt to make contact, and sometimes with disastrous results as their form tends to provoke fear and terror. Additionally they sometimes fail to see a significant difference between the life of an insect and the life of a larger, more intelligent and independent creature.

The Many-Eyed Monarch has no true name, although if another creature tries to bestow a name upon it, they will not reject it. The Many-Eyed Monarch has no gender, though they will not object or correct anyone anyone who assigns one to them. Additionally, they always refer to themselves in plural - 'we' instead of 'I.'

Fundamentally they believe that everything is better with cooperation. They do not actively seek conflict unless provoked, but many seemingly-harmless actions may provoke them nonetheless. In some ways they can be almost childlike - quick to trust but also quick to anger. They feel emotions very intensely, and are not fully used to processing those emotions.

If one is visited by a dragonfly or a butterfly, that is believed to be a sign of the Monarch's favour. Alternatively if one is bit by a mosquito or stung by a wasp, some may think they have earned the Monarch's ire.

The Monarch's personality may change over time, as the Monarch learns more of the ways of mortals and its fellow deities. Or perhaps not.

• Ir-Vaeri •
ALIAS-TBD

Domain
Space

Description
Ir-Vaeri can seem quite fickle to those unacquainted with her, but those who know her truly and deeply know that she actually is incredibly fickle at times. However, this is often tempered not just by moods or ambition but rather opinion. The more strongly she feels about something, often even as simple as disliking or liking, the more solid her decisions and plans stay. This is not to mention her mischievous streak, which may be a bit out of tune with mortal expectations- but then again which gods always are?

Even though she does connect strongly with a domain of complex reality and rules, this is not reflected as a hidebound expression or one for rules and proper behavior whatever that may mean. Ordered chaos is likely the closest one gets with her at times free or fickle spirit.

Longsight

Artist: Iain McCaig

Description
Longsight is a fair-skinned human lad of the northern wastes, brown of hair and eye, some eleven years of age. Social, like all of his clansmen, he does maintain a certain sombre streak. His penchant for standing dramatically on the nearest rise to stare into the fading horizon has given him the name Longsight, in line with his clan's convention of flexible and ever-changing names. Longsight's clan (though village band would be more accurate) has taken to calling itself the Renevits, after their village of Renev. After strange beasts from the mythic past emerged to raze their village and way of life, the Renevit survivors escaped northward in the hopes of finding shelter in one of the fortified northern keeps. However, all they found was an endless wasteland unlike any of them knew, remembered, or understood. Though many died, Longsight has survived. It has now been years since, and the once-villagers have somewhat taken to their new nomadic existence on these harsh sand-wracked wastes.

Theme

ROISIN MAGNOLIA

The LITTLE GOD of the LITTLE THINGS | The FEIGHDFULC MATHAIR | LADY of the FADE | The KHODEXBORN
LADYPRINCE of the FAE-FINTE | The FAERIE QUEEN | The GREAT VEILED ONE | MISTRESS of the PLACE BETWIXT ALL PLACES
HIGH QUEEN of the FAIRIES

Domain
Glamour

Description
Wise beyond measure and kind beyond words, the magnolious queen of the fairies sprinkles her magicks unto existence, and wherever the echo of her impossible beauty is felt all swoon and are smitten... and driven to madness and pain! Bitterly does she hide her countenance and her beauty from all, sadly does she by glamourous arts and phantasmic potions and crafts scatter from the eyes of all the very thought or memory of her face. Like a rippling mirage on sun-scattered sands is her countenance, hidden not beyond the Veil of the immaterial but within it, inside it - and only by the laughter of her Fae children - and by poor glamorous disguises! - will her existence be known!

Full of love, most resplendent love, is the heart of the Little god of the Little Things, and though she cannot wander in her splendour from the Veil, still is she a most eager and most munificent host. If her countenance is never to grace mortal eyes beyond her kingdom, and if she is not to dance there in the world of blood and soil or hold court, then mortals - and their eyes - must be brought to be graced by her! Could one such as her, who knows only love, wisdom, and kindness, wallow away in her exile and be thought a world-hating recluse, a veritable scrooge, a dragon on her mountain of gold, a most vile and evil hag? Why, let her love-drowned heart burst and perish before such would be said of her! Here in her court, where her countenance shines most sweetly on all eyes and brings only pleasure and delight, will the song of great hospitality and generosity be sung.

Su'ulek

ALIAS The Mother Of Monsters

Domain Monsters

Appearance:

[u]Description
She is a kind mother. She is capable of being a predator on those who would hunt her children. She is by nature kind, but she is too kind towards her own. As such, she struggles to overcome her inner predator to be good. Su'ulek's nature is summed up in one word. "Mother." She loves her children with genuine ferocity and simultaneous tenderness. The old saying "He had a face only a mother could love" probably had Su'ulek in mind.
Sometimes Su'ulek will intercede for mortals who cry out to her for deliverance from monsters and she will respond in different ways. Giving her children different targets, such as live stock, wild life, trying to talk them down, or most rarely and with great regret, even taking them out as a threat, as though Su'ulek often waits too long to save others, she does do so, and is not evil.
