About This Game
Welcome to Tower of Athena, heavily inspired by anime such as Damchi, Goblin Slayer, Sword Art Online and Grimgar!
Tower of Athena is about Adventurers who are hired by the guild to take on dangerous quests within the mysterious tower that's been sealed for decades. The only playable race is human and the art style is of course Anime.
The Tower
Monsters seem to be birthed in the walls of the tower, and after they are killed will shortly appear again within a certain amount of hours. Each type of creature has its own spawn time. Currently only the 3rd floor has ever been officially cleared by party.
Every floor seems to have its own day night cycle, with a clear view of the sun and moon while inside. Areas are blocked off by what appears to be an invisible wall that prohibits you from traveling to far. The way to find the next level is to look for the large Steel door that blocks the stairway to the next floor. Things make no sense here, every floor is a peace of its own world.
Current Lore
Floor 1- Small Creatures (non aggressive) most creatures found here can also be found on the outside. This floor seems to be just a waiting hub, its fairly lit and made mostly of stone. Aspect- Gathering Place, Safe Spot
Floor 2- Mostly Small Creatures (Mild-Agro) Small bands of low level Orcs, Goblins, Cattle and other small game can be found on this floor. Most of this floor seems to be designed as a low dense wooded area. In parts of this floor there are ruins of what seemed to be a town. Aspect- Old Ruins of an ancient civilization, low density woods, small paths
Floor 3- Dense Forrest, mostly filled with Small Creatures (Mild-Agro) Small bands of low level Orcs, Orc Shamans, Small bands of Hobgoblins, Cattle and other small game have been reported here. It has been known for parties to run into Golbin and Orc huts. Aspect- Dense Tree Brush, filled with natural traps, Orc hunting grounds.
Floor 4- Large Creature (Extr-Agro) (Gossip, due to no official information has been documented).
More about the Floors so far...
Each floor in the tower of Athena seems to house a unique feature. Researchers and Scholars endeavor to discover their properties on a regular basis in the hopes of unravelling some of the tower's mystery.
One thing that all the floors have in common is that, as far as we've seen, the terrain seems to regenerate to it's former appearance over time.
The tower is also home to some unique monsters not found in the outside world such as "cleaners."
Floor one has nearly indestructible terrain, which makes excavation or agriculture impossible.
Floor two is nicknamed "miners paradise", though most of it is forest, there are some ruins with precious minerals burried underneath them in deep underground tunnels. The guilds outside the tower however heavily regulate excavation within the tower, exorbitantly requiring a costly permit upon entry with an additional hourly charge.
Floor three is still being heavily investigated, however it is slow-going due to the fact that one must pass through the earlier floors to reach it. Supplies often get stretched thin by that point and the monsters and environment are both very hostile.
The following floor is a complete mystery. At first there were rumors that it simply doesn't exist, hence why no one returns from it. However, the entrance to this floor has been clearly documented by none other than Bron Henderson, cartographer extraordinaire. In his last expedition to the tower, he ascended the stairs to floor four with a party of famed heroes, that was the last that anyone heard from any of them. The rumors are that there is a large creature laying in wait atop the stairs, though this is mere gossip. The leading hypothesis from the Great Library of Apollo is that return from this floor is physically impossible upon ascending the stairs, perhaps due to a barrier of sorts. Ascending these stairs is considered to be a death sentence by most adventurers nowadays, though some brave fools still dare to venture forth anyway.
