The lives of two young teens, Catherine and Danny Davis, changed forever when they were bitten by a radioactive super spider on their field trip to Oscorp. The two scientific prodigies awoke to find out that they had an interesting set of special abilities. They crafted their own costumes and web-shooters with the help of their friends and started experimenting with their powers. Unfortunately that same weekend their father was killed by a man that Danny let walk away and it drove Caty to kill their father's murderer. This night stuck with them both and they began their careers separately as Spider-Woman and Spider-Man.
Things were hard for them both after their dad's death, but they decided that night to protect as many lives as they could and not take any either. They were put to their first official test when while on vacation at Disneyland for their 16th birthday they had to fight a giant lizard that turned out to be Dr. Curt Connors from Oscorp who had created a serum to successfully regrow his arm. They were able to save him and put him on the path to control his transformation. They returned to their new friends and it's possible they may know who are Amazing Twins really were. Could they trust them? Only time would tell.
They returned home to find out New York had gone through a serious battle and that a group of superheroes formed to put a stop to the Loki led Frost Giant Army. They missed out on a huge superhero team-up, but they saved a man and his family. Who knows what could have happened had they not been there?
Months passed and despite the overshadowing of the Avengers Spider-Woman and Spider-Man were making waves. People started making costumes about them and even forming small fan clubs. It helped that Spider-Woman was dating an intern at the Daily Bugle, her long-term best friend and girlfriend. Unfortunately on Halloween that became a problem. A disgruntled Oscorp employee, named Hobgoblin, tried to kill Norman Osborn tracked Spider-Woman down through her. He incorrectly assumed that Harry was Spider-Man and his girlfriend, Gwen Stacy was Spider-Woman.
Captain Stacy confronted Hobgoblin once he attacked the Daily Bugle and that confrontation ended in his fiery death. Hobgoblin's Bloody Night of Horrors wasn't done and he went to find Liz on his own. He found her with none other than Spider-Woman! He couldn't believe his luck. He kidnapped Liz and challenged Spider-Woman to fight him. This fight led to a stalemate and because of that he stopped playing fair and threw Liz off the Manhattan Bridge Tower. Spider-Woman tried to catch her with her web, but snapped her neck instead. She was devastated and angry and after Hobgoblin laughed in her face while she was cradling Liz's body in her arms she tried to kill him. She was stopped by Iron Man who gave her advice and took him off her hands.
Spider-Man joined his sister right after that and they took Liz to the hospital where they waited for her parents. Caty explained most of the truth about what happened, but omitted her identity. After the funerals of both Liz and Captain Stacy, Caty lost Gwen as a friend. She hoped it wouldn't be permanent, but she couldn't be so sure. She just knew she didn't blame her. Instead she took her anger, frustration, and grief out on the criminal underworld.
This led to Spider-Woman being hunted down by the Vulture, a scientist from the criminal underworld, during the Thanksgiving Day Parade.. He wanted to try his hand at the Queen of the Spiders, but found he couldn't quite digest her webs.
Later that night Spider-Man brought down the large behemoth known as the Rhino. He showed him that all size and strength was nothing compared without a big brain. The city was getting stranger and stranger, but this was really just the beginning.
Now Christmas has come, the year where friends and family get together, express their love, and cherish the memories through the year. It was the twins' first Christmas without their dad and Caty's first without Liz. As Spider-Man and Spider-Woman would they even have the opportunity to enjoy Christmas or will they be making sure no one tries to ruin anyone else's?
Oh? What's this? It seems that our heroes may be entertaining a few unexpected guests this year. Do they bring good tidings or misfortune? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
