Age: 18



Appearance: Conner is tall and lean, standing at exactly six feet tall. He has slender well defined swimmers body that he is very happy to show off. He spends plenty of time out in the sun, and thus has a lightly tanned skin complexion. He has a boyish heart shaped face, with big brown eyes, and a small nose. He keeps his brunette hair spiked up in the front, a style he thinks is cool. He can most often be seen with a grin on his face.

Most of his wardrobe is just blue stuff… He likes wearing tight fitting tank tops to show off his physique. He prefers wearing sandals for footwear. He always wears his swim trunks underneath his clothes.

Personality: Conner is a spontaneous and outgoing young man. He likes to have fun. His favorite activities are surfing, swimming, playing video games, and reading comic books. He enjoys socializing with others and being the center of attention. He is an handshaking, touching kind of guy. He openly expresses affection through hugs, holding hands, as well as stroking and grabbing shoulders. He particularly likes flirting with attractive guys. He makes friends easily, and will happily chat up strangers if they interest him somehow. He enjoys social situations, and believes that everyone else would too. He's likely to convince people who he perceives as being lonely to come along with things like 'come on, you'll enjoy it!' or 'you don't know what you're missing!' While he does need to spend time alone once in a while, he gets bored if he does it too long. He values all his relationships, and will happily stick with anyone he considers a friend.

He can often be found with a smile on his face, even during stressful situations. He often makes jokes, when the situation is tense to lift people's spirits. He may tease others in a 'playful' way, and expect them not to 'take it so seriously.' He does feel bad if somebody does actually get their feelings hurt by what he says. Sometimes his attempts at humor are read as him not taking the situation seriously. While he does joke around a lot, he is capable of getting things done. He just doesn't feel the need to be so dour about it. He often suggests that others not be so serious.

Conner enjoys showing off his skills for others in order to get praise. He is prone to bragging about the things he is good at. He does it in a 'look at this awesome thing I can do!' way, rather than an 'I'm better than you.' way. He will often be the first one to jump into battle just to show off the cool stuff he can do with water.

He likes to live in the moment rather than dwelling on the past. This means Conner is not the best when it comes to organization, or planning. Due to his lack of planning ahead, it makes him impulsive, and he tends to jump into things without a second thought. He gets bored when he is not sufficiently stimulated, and will complain about being bored. He is also not the most tidy person. He does clean up his mess after the fact if it's pointed out to him, but he has trouble avoiding making a mess in the first place.

Growing up a member of a rich family that has high standards, and a seemingly perfect older sister has given him a number of insecurites. He’s always worried about not being good enough, and that he doesn’t belong anywhere. He feels like he has something to prove. He wants to have a purpose in life. He tries to hide his worries behind a mask of being a cool laid back surfer dude, but they’re always there. It manifests as envy towards people he thinks are better than him.

History Conner grew up in an upscale area. Conner was the youngest son of the wealthy and prominent Waters family. His parents were quite strict, and they had high standards for their kids. Conner had an older sister named Arianna, and she was the the apple of the family’s eye, at least it appeared that way to Conner. She was beautiful, talented, intelligent, and it felt like she could do no wrong. To him, it always seemed like anything he could do she could do better.

In his teenage years, Conner gave up trying to live up to the high standards set by his sister. He only did just well enough in school to get by, and spent a lot of time slacking off. He would often act up in class, and get himself into trouble. There were days where he would cut class to go to the beach and surf. Surfing was one of his favorite activities. It was definitely something Arianna wouldn’t do. He enjoyed the thrill and adrenaline high of catching a big wave.

Conner’s parents wanted him to go to college after finishing high school, but Conner isn’t so sure about that. He struggled in school, so why would he want to do more of it? Besides, he would only be compared to his sister who got accepted to a big fancy university. He’s kind of tired of it. He currently works at a local surf shop, and has dreams of being a pro surfer, but doesn’t really know how to go about doing that.

Magic

Magical Form: The first thing you’ll notice about Conner’s magical form, is that his hair and eyes turn blue. Two blue jewels with wings attached to them sit on either side of his head. A headband of blue coral, shells, and pearls sit in the middle of his forehead. He has white pauldrons with blue symbols carved into it. He has a blue chestplate. He has a blue tunic under it that falls to his knees. Covering his legs are a pare of white tights, as well as blue armor plates around his hips. He wears white and blue boots as his footwear, and blue gauntlets to around his hands and arms. The look is completed with a long flowing blue cape.

Weapon His Weapon is a long blue trident. The weapon is ornately decorated with a lot of mysterious symbols carved into it, and a blue clamshell in the center. The handle of the trident is designed to look like it has an octopus tentacle wrapped around it.

Abilities: Conner’s water magic grants him control over water in various forms. He can shape liquid water, freeze it into ice, and turn it into steam. He can manipulate water currents, create water projectiles, and even heal using water’s rejuvenating properties. He can also breathe under water.

Companion

Name: Chesi

Appearance: A small blue dolphin.

Personality: Chesi was once a powerful water sorceress. She is not happy about being stuck in this form, and longs to be human again. Still, she tries to make the best of the situation. That involves being a mentor figure to Conner and the other boys. She tries to maintain a calm levelheaded demeanor, and likes to analyze situations before jumping in to things. Something Conner does not do very well with. In spite of her current circumstances, she maintains her dry sense of humor, that she uses to cope, and bring levity to serious moments.

Name: Gray Moore

Age: 18

Appearance: Gray is a slender guy that stands at the average height of 5'8" tall. His build is just overall normal with nothing really standing out about it. His skin tone is light with a definite tint of brown in it pointing toward his mixed heritage. It is also very smooth with light body hair and free of all blemishes. His hair color is a little less common light auburn looking closer to a light orange and brown mix. While the hair appears very messy with the way the locks point in multiple directions, it's obviously taken care of to prevent it from becoming a matted, tangled mess. The length is not too long as the bangs rest near his eyebrows, the sides hug his cheekbones, and the back of it stops at the base of his head. The next to point out is his gray-colored eyes. They are quite a light shade and are sometimes mistaken for a pale blue in certain lighting. There's a very calm and gentle gaze coming from them.

Outside of his physical appearance, Gray sports a fairly casual style. More times than not, he wears layers such as a long sleeve under a t-shirt or shirt under an open button-up or jacket. His outfits are all very comfortable and even a bit nice though they are obviously quite outdated with the modern style. All his clothes, though they fit him fine, are pretty worn out as he has had the same clothes for multiple years now. Everything Gray wears looks aged and their colors are faded, though they lack loose threads and tears. Most of his clothing has faded into a dull gray, the original colors appear to have been either a blue or a green. His shoes or boots are newer additions to his wardrobe as they are not nearly as worn-looking, however, they are still pretty well used. Gray never wears any jewelry or accessories other than his shoulder bag when he is going to school.


Personality: Gray is a calm and mild-mannered young adult. He has a very pleasant demeanor and is a real joy to be around. He is quite good at reading emotions and moods, so he naturally knows when he can be causal and normal or concerned and understanding. Rarely letting his emotions get too worked up, he remains very sensible which makes people find him easy to talk to. He is always willing to lend an ear and help others despite the inconvenience it may cause him. Not only that he does it with a smile and without an ounce of hesitation. Since Gray is always more than happy to help, people often turn to him whenever they need something. This gives him the title of the most reliable guy in one's time of need.

Since the beginning of his senior year, a troubled expression occasionally appears on Gray's face. His relaxed attitude has been plagued with obvious stress. Whenever anyone asks him about it, he simply changes the subject. It has always been constant that he doesn't lean on others whenever he is going through something. Gray is an independent person who does things himself and has long gotten used to dealing with everything on his own. This is probably what helped him develop his keen senses and the problem-solving skills he often used to help others. On top of just being independent, Gray also doesn't want to bring people down with his pointless emotions. He is very good at burying everything he doesn't want to show other people.

History: Gray is the oldest child of the Moore family and has five younger siblings. Ever since he was young and his first younger sibling was born, it has been instilled in him that he must be a good boy and put aside his needs to help others. And like the obedient son he was, he did just that. He would help out around the house when he would have rather been outside playing, watch over his siblings instead of going to his friend's birthday party, and not voice his wants like that new bike so his little sister could get a new dollhouse. Gray grew very good at stomping down all his wants for other's happiness. So much so that even outside of his family, he would still selflessly push his desires to the side. When a friend wanted to win a contest that Gray also wanted to win, he dropped out and helped them reach victory. On another occasion, a teacher needed help after school with some sorting, so he helped when he wanted to go to the game center with his classmates.

Gray's life revolved around fulfilling the desires of the people around him and forgetting his own in favor of others. Even when he became really close friends with a group of boys at school, he was still unable to put himself first. During his last year in high school, before he even formed an idea about his future career, his parents expressed their desire for him to become a doctor. And like always, he began to work toward that goal. As many of his peers and friends enthusiastically talked about their future desires and ideal college, Gray felt a sense of dread. Every time he checked if his application was accepted, it was like a heavy pressure was pushing down on him... When it finally came, he stared at the line about his acceptance to the top-ranking medical school halfway across the county with a full scholarship with a feeling of despair.

His parents were ecstatic, his friends congratulated him, yet all Gray could feel was misery. He understood that he should be happy like everyone else, so putting on his usual smile, the teen acted enthused, and buried that feeling like he always did. This time proved more challenging to keep it in, but he continued to push it away as the clock counted down to his college departure.



Magical Form: When Gray transforms, his eyes turn a bright shade of red and his hair an inky black. It mostly blends in with the hood of the dark cloak pulled over his head. On his forehead, peeking out from beneath the hood, are goggles with big round lenses that resemble the eyes of a frog. The cloak drapes loosely over his body stopping short of his eyes and the ground. There are crimson accents along the edging of the openings giving the gloomy cloth a more ominous vibe. Between the opening of the cloak, there is a chance to catch a glance of black ninja garb that is form-fitting to his body. There is also a splash of red along the collar of the top and a sash tied around his waist. Black gloves and black & red boots complete the image of a cloaked ninja.


Weapon: Gray's weapon is a pair of small sickles. They seemed to be made out of some black material that does not reflect the light and it's barely even noticeable in the darkness if not for the blood-red symbols etched into the side of the blades. They are attached together by a six-foot-long and dull gray chain.

Abilities: Gray's power over the shadows allows him many powers involving darkness. He can command them and launch them out quickly like a whip of shadow, create dark protective barriers in front of him and others, create a small zone of darkness around himself, and momentarily hold someone or something in place. He also can hide seamlessly within the darkness and his night vision becomes very keen to the point he can even identify some colors in what seems to be pitch blackness.



Name: Reyenne

Appearance: She has the form of a tiny black frog with bright red eyes.

Personality: Reyenne is a rather apathetic shadow witch, to be frank. She doesn't really care about others' feelings or well-being on the norm. If weren't for the curse she wouldn't have batted an eye at Gray, the boy borrowing her magic, or the rest of this gaggle that surrounds her. Since she is forced to care in the hope they can break this awful curse, she does give some advice when it seems fit. Reyenne is the realist of the group, who tells those idealistic ones the true grave reality of the situation. Due to Reyenne's own selfish nature, however, most of her blunt suggestions don't think of the greater good and are just a way to ensure her own safety or the person's without considering anything else. To her, the risk isn't worth it if her life is endangered.

Name: Elijah “Eli” Phlogiston

Age: 18

Appearance: The way Eli looks isn't all that remarkable. The only things that stand out are the odd bandages or scrapes on his face or arms - but for the people that know him well, it's not an uncommon sight. He has small almond shaped brown eyes and his hair is a muddy reddish brown in color, usually with a comb hastily run through it to no avail. He stands a 5'11'' (182cm), and his body frame is boxy. He is by no means an athlete but keeps in decent shape. His personal style favors function over form, but also includes a lot of comfortable clothing.

Personality: Even as a kid, Eli has always been described as down-to-earth. He is a straight forward kind of guy, prone to taking the path of least resistance. He isn't easily stirred to intense emotion, though like anyone he is capable of displaying it if really pushed. Despite the easygoing nature, Eli also has an adventurous heart. His hobbies are hiking and urban exploration, as well as trying out new things. He chips away at projects gradually, prone to dropping things for a new adventure and then coming back to them with a new approach. Basically, Eli goes with the flow of both his own heart and those of the people around him. He doesn't usually sweat the small stuff.

With both friends and strangers he is casual and direct. He is an extrovert that feeds off of positive energy, so he does best in a group and usually seeks out companionship whenever he's alone. He is both trusting and trustworthy, accepting everyone as they are. One major thing about Eli is that he is clumsy or otherwise seems to have bad luck, which is why he's always covered in little nicks and bruises. He's also not particularly good with his hands, so dexterous tasks are beyond him. He has gotten pretty good with first aid though.

History: Eli's life had been pretty average up until the camping trip with his friends. He grew up in a rinky-dink little house with just his mom - single parent, no siblings. They didn't have a lot of money, but they also didn't want for much either.

It was a happy household for the most part, but with his mom working nights and himself in school during the day, Eli was left to his own devices for a lot of the time. He had to find something to do when he was alone, but instead of studying (he gets by fine with his grades as is, only really struggling with some maths and sciences) he took to trying to insert himself into as many different social circles as possible. The more friends, the more stuff he'd have to do so the less bored he would be! It was good in a lot of ways, he learned a lot and got used to talking with people of all stripes. He was hardly ever lonely either. But it also meant a lot of double booking, hurt feelings, peer pressure, and some close calls with more dangerous "friends." The only time he ever remembered his mom yelling at him was one day a police officer had dragged him back home with only a warning.

After that Eli remained friendly with pretty much anyway, but he chose his actual friends a little more seriously. He filled his free time with other random hobbies and a lot of exploration. He'd pretty much memorized the routes of the city's few nature walks. He still never took his schooling seriously though.

Eventually he met a real interesting bunch that all bonded well together despite their differences, a group that he seemed to really click with. He'd pretty much never been happier, but now with graduation and everyone talking about going their separate ways for college, Eli was left questioning what his own plans were. He couldn't exactly tag along with someone... or could he? He had no idea what he wanted to do with himself. The one thing he does know is that he wants to spend as much time with his friends as possible while they're all still together.




Element: Fire

Magical Form: Eli transforms when a burst of colorful flames engulf him. When the fire stops he appears with his wounds and body fat burned away, in peak physical condition. His hair becomes slightly longer, spikier, and more deeply red while his eyes glow orange. The outfit he wears comes across as something a fictional, sensationalized martial artist would wear: dogi pants, slippers with a hard sole, a waist cloth, half vest over a bare chest, and impractically long scarf all in varying light and dark shades of red. The look is accented with bronze and gold bangles, belt cord, and stud earrings.

Weapon: A pair of tight leather-like finger-less gloves, deep mahogany in color. There are studs on the knuckles matching the bronze-gold accessories of his outfit, and the palms of each glove feature two different curious rich red symbols.

Abilities: Eli can conjure flames in a variety of colors, temperatures, and sizes, and wreath himself in them without being harmed. The bigger the fire the more fuel it needs, using his stamina and breath. If he can't breathe, he can't burn. He can control existing fires of a non-magical nature, extinguishing them or making them dance. He can heat up his body in general, including on a cellular level to power up and move faster. Finally, Eli's abilities give him robust regenerative properties. As long as he doesn't take a fatal wound, he can burn energy to heal himself from even the most grievous of injuries. Like all his other abilities, the more severe the wound, the more energy the fire needs to heal it over by making it anew. Unknown if he can extend use of this healing factor on others.




Name: Fenghuang

Appearance: She takes the form of a small bird, more like a chick than anything, less than a foot tall. Her plumage is vibrantly colored in reds and oranges, with some feathery spots appearing iridescent. Though she is lacking in tail feathers, she still looks very regal.

Personality: Fenghuang wasn't surprised about being trapped in her current body, but seeing that it is a great inconvenience to her she is eager to get the boys to hurry up and finish their quest so she can get back to normal. On top of being pushy, she is stubborn and convinced that she is always right. Fenghuang was revered as one of the oldest and wisest sorceresses in the land, and she is not above throwing her experience and rank around to convince others that her way is best. Even if she's proven wrong, she will rarely ever admit it. She is quite a proud bird, and once she gets to know others she grows extremely protective of them.

Name Ciel Baudelaire

Age 18

Appearance Standing at 5’7, Ciel has a lean build with androgynous facial features that are perpetually twisted into a bitter glare or tired scowl, a pasty complexion littered with bruises and bandages, and black hair that falls in messy waves to partially obscure dull, light red eyes when left unkempt. The rest of his appearance tends to follow suit, considering his heavily bitten nails and lack of care when it comes to attire. The oversized t-shirts and shorts he's partial to are frequently complimented with plain headphones draped over his neck and glasses perched upon his nose to alleviate the lack of decent eyesight his ocular albinism has so kindly gifted him. On the very rare occasion he finds himself traversing the great 'anything past his bedroom door' Ciel dons worn, oversized hoodies and pants that are just as comfortable and extremely inappropriate for any occasion that isn't sleeping as his daily wear is.

Personality Ciel is a rather… interesting individual. From sour and cynical to carefree and volatile with a mildly concerning obsession of anime, his emotions can change at the drop of a hat, running high and unchecked behind a sullen mask that gives many the impression of a bitter, young man who recoils at the notion of socialising. Despite this, it is mainly the fear of being looked at or exposed to so many eyes that his interactions with strangers tend to come off quite cold.

However, his sour demeanour isn’t entirely fabricated as he is often seen making cynical or dry jokes—perhaps a natural affinity for humour or a mere grasp at straws to be perceived as funny, he likes to insist the former. When he isn’t attempting to impress an internet stranger or one of his friends with his funny words, or religiously checking game leak subreddits, or internet surfing past 4 AM, he’s surprisingly laid-back. Minding his own business to go with the flow, Ciel spends his days reading manga and watching anime as a form of crutch for the lack of human interaction in his life, giving him the unfortunate ability of having any related information being stored in his brain forever.

His airy character [ehe] can nonetheless be pushed to its limits. Ciel’s a patient guy, a very patient guy as he is more than aware of the repercussions of expressing the primal rage that seems to be constantly stewing within him, but when someone takes it too far he isn’t afraid to throw as many punches as it takes for them to back off. However, his anger is more often expressed in private situations (read: ‘being paired in online matches with people who spend normal amounts of time on video games’), as name calling, yelling, the odd table smack are all commonplace when the spite-fueled young man loads up any competitive game.

Luckily for many, his mercurial behaviour is not exclusive to anger as he is also shockingly gentle when the situation calls for it. Just don’t expect him to know what to do when someone’s crying; fifth-grade Ciel brought home some war stories that day. Even so, he’s more than happy to drop everything to run an errand, lend a helping hand, or do a favour for someone he’s close to, though his signature blank expression tends to persist when doing so, he does care despite how many times he might vehemently deny it to keep his image.

History Growing up, Ciel had a relatively normal childhood: preoccupying himself in an array of interests that leaned towards a little unorthodox for a child in the single digits with two loving parents happy to indulge him. With most of his time spent indoors by himself, his lingering uncomfortableness of social situations was evident sparsely enough to overlook.

By the time middle school started, Ciel’s fears were far more tangible than being the shy, small child he and his parents originally assumed he would grow out of. Armed with an oddly zealous love of Greek mythology, high fantasy, and ancient history, his first year held a difficulty or two needless say. An outcast for his eccentric personality and shyness in class, Ciel accepted his solitude and happily minded his own business in keeping to himself at school.

Second year of middle school entailed a certain down-to-earth student befriending him and introducing him to the rest of his friends. It was the first time Ciel had ever been able to participate in things normal kids did let alone be part of a friend group. However, something didn’t seem to quite click; the group were all closer than he knew he’d ever be with them. His sense of loneliness and fear of people continued to grow more intense; weekends and after school a respite as the only time he could be alone.

A few years later, Ciel found himself experiencing panic attacks at the notion of being in public let alone going to school, and around halfway through the third year of high school, he refused to go to school. Ciel remained at home for the remainder of high school where he studied, and engrossed himself in Japanese pop culture and video games to pass the time, though he continued to keep in touch with his friends over the internet and occasionally agreed to their invites to spend time together, leading to his involvement in their graduation beach trip. At least it would take his mind off the stress of contemplating what he’d do—whether he goes to college or resigns himself to withering away by his computer, for now he just wants to make the most of his time with the only people he cares about.

Magic

Magical Form When transformed, Ciel’s dark hair is now white and neater while his eyes are light blue with white irises. He physically otherwise remains unchanged, though despite his scrawny build still being more adept to sitting and staring at a screen all day, his athletic ability is nonetheless greatly increased. His outfit is of quite the traditional ‘magical girl’ fashion: ethereal and dainty, much like how winds tend to be perceived. He dons a white, form fitting, sleeveless shirt under a loose jacket that ends in layers of black, white, and translucent fabrics with delicate cuts and patterns, all accented in pastel pinks and blues.

Weapon An umbrella he uses as a bat, rapier, and walking cane.

Abilities Ciel is rather weak by himself, only able to create wind currents but his strength comes from its versatility as it is instead rather formidable when supporting his friends’ powers such as being able to create mirages with fire, thunderstorms with water etc. However, his magic’s adaptability extends past complimenting other elements as it can be adapted into serving various needs as long as he can think of how to manipulate his powers, such as filling his umbrella with air to float, using strong winds to push heavy objects, carrying objects with a gentler breeze, and the like.

Companion

Name Vayu

Appearance A huli jing around the size of a corgi with a fluffy, white coat, and light blue markings. Their eye colour is currently unknown as their features are perpetually pulled into a close-eyed, toothy grin; the type that is a tad too foreboding to entrust your livelihood to.

Personality A former shapeshifter with a carefree spirit who was sealed into the body of a nine-tailed fox, they don’t appear to be particularly pressed about their current state. They are, if nothing, patient, after all; a mere bump in the road to them. With a fox-eyed smile and another cunning scheme brewing behind it, Vayu fully intends to get their abilities back no matter who they have to manipulate, though it may be a little difficult to discern through the ‘gentle’ suggestions they so benevolently give to others to do so. They also may or may not be refusing to elaborate on their past but they’re absolutely trustworthy though, they promise you, you wouldn’t have any reason not to believe them.

Name: David Baker

Age: 18

Appearance: David is a quite good looking guy for his age. He stands tall at just over six feet tall with a little bit of muscle build and broad shoulders. His skin glows a warm dark brown, and is fairly clear of blemish. His long black hair is kept in thick dreadlocks, and he usually keeps it all up in a loose bun. His eyes are a very dark brown, and shine like amber in the sunlight. Despite his build, he has a softer face, with hints of sharpness in his nose and jaw.

David has never been wildly into fashion. His clothes fit well and keep him covered, and that's all that matters. Because of this, he tends to wear mostly t-shirts and joggers, with the occasional jacket if it gets colder.

Personality: David is a warm, gentle man. He is a helping hand, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on. He is somewhat soft-spoken, preferring a quality over quantity approach to how he chooses his words. He is optimistic and hopeful, choosing to never give up and stay tenacious in his goals. David is very loyal to those he loves, but not blindingly so--he isn't afraid to call someone out if they're making poor choices.

David's hobbies center around sports and books. David loves to run, and has been on their school's cross-country team since he was a freshman. He's also into basketball, but only for fun. He loves to read, and has a soft spot for romance novels in particular. He enjoys singing, and has a lovely baritone voice to match. He hopes to carry these into college, but isn't sure if he'll be able to make it work.

David is always willing to stand up for other people, but struggles to do the same for himself. Always a giver, he has a hard time advocating for his own wants and needs, afraid he takes up 'too much' space. He's a bit forgetful, often getting lost or losing track of things. David worries that he's just as forgettable to other people, and feels that at the end of the day, he won't be remembered by the people he cares about.

David is deeply compassionate, and driven by love for everyone. He wants to see the world change for the better, and wants to do whatever he can to bring that about. He forgives easily, believing strongly that people can change. No matter how hard things get or how he might be treated, he does not let go of his beliefs on love and grace. They are his guiding lights and feels that as long as he's following them, he's on the right track.

History: David is the only child of his parents, Gabriel and Sarah Baker. As such, he was given the full attention of his parents at any given time, pouring their love into his upbringing. (This isn't to say that they were permissive, giving everything he wanted; but rather found the healthy balance between love and limits.) He grew up surrounded by friends and family, and spent a lot of time with his parents at their local community center. It was there he learned the value of serving others, and it pushed him to always be on the lookout for ways to help.

David did well in school. He loved to learn, and with the encouragement from his parents, no subject could deter him. Everything was interesting in its own right to David! He found himself drawn to the medical field, fascinated by its history and the advances made to keep more people safe and healthy. He knew he wanted to go to medical school, so did all he could to ace his classes and prepare to apply for schools across the country. He became very interested in surgery, and by the time his senior year had ended, David had been accepted to one of the top surgical schools in the country.

As excited as he was to move onto college, there was more to life than just education. His friends! He had become buddies with a bit of a rag-tag group of other boys, all from different backgrounds and wanting different futures. He sometimes felt like he didn't quite fit in, but was just happy to be included. So, when they invited him to a camping trip shortly after graduation, he accepted, excited to see them all one last time before heading out into his future.



Magical Form: Upon transformation, David is clothed in whites and golds. The first thing to notice about him are the six feathered wings from his back, stacked in sets of two. The next is the halo that sits behind his head, a disc of gold that seems to always be behind him no matter which direction you look at him from. (Think of the way they do it in old art.) His eyes turn a golden color, and his skin seems to faintly glow. He wears a loose white toga, worn on his left shoulder and exposing part of his right chest. It is belted around the waist by a gold band, with extra ornamentation to drape around his hips. He wears gold bracelets on his wrists, and a thin gold necklace that is worn under the toga. Seemingly tattooed in gold on his right shoulder is a sun emblem.



Weapon: David's weapon is a large sword, ornately decorated with gold accents. The hilt seems to be made from marble, carved with intricate knotted patterns. Opals and diamonds are set into the pommel, and the blade's steel is so polished that it appears to glow with a faint light.

Abilities: David gets full control over the element of light. He is able to fire damaging beams of light from his hands or his sword. He can create illusions seen by all, although they can be detected by touching them. He can create physical constructs from light, but they take far more concentration and energy to uphold. He can heal others by touching them, similar to healing hands in Dungeons and Dragons. He is able to control his 'glow,' able to turn it off all the way to becoming a blinding being of pure light.



Name: Denali

Appearance: A small, fluffy white chickadee.

Personality: Denali was once a powerful sorceress of light, but has since been cursed to be... this. It's fine. She hates it, but it's not the worst thing that could have ever happened to her. Denali is kind at heart, but a little ditzy and forgetful, and can sometimes be a little too passive. She's very shy, and frankly doesn't want to be on this adventure at all, but wants her body back, so here we are.

Name: Milo Weathers

Age: 19

Appearance: If there's one thing to be said about Milo, it's this: Absolute gremlin. From his remarkably short stature, made only worse by his tendency to slump, to his extreme lack of fashion sense, none of it is really helped by the fact that the guy practically refuses to shower. Hair unkempt and face unshaven, some often questioned if Milo was homeless. Were it not for his hair constantly being dyed one color or another, one could really have thought it so. Underneath all the mess and the grime, however, it's not hard to see Milo for the attractive young man he is. With soft, round features giving him a face of eternal youth, and an ever-present gleam of excitement in his bright blue eyes, were it not for his frumpish appearance, he could easily have had swarms of girls, and even other boys, absolutely fawning over him, and the lack of height would have been merely a charm of "cuteness" on his part.
Milo carries several piercings around his ears and face, and those who know him well are aware of a few other, not-so-visible places that have also been adorned. A fan of the color yellow, he's never seen without his favorite jacket or his ratty old Converse he's had since middle school. He has no official tattoos but has always been prone to draw on himself, and his arms and legs are often covered in doodles of all kinds, with the most prominent typically being different types of bugs, including such types as bumblebees, caterpillars, butterflies, and the occasional stick-bug; once he even put in the time and effort to draw a rather detailed praying mantis, though more often his "tattoos" hold a more cartoonish style.

Personality: Milo is as much a "gremlin" in regards to his personality as he is to his appearance. Really, it's a wonder how someone so bad at socializing managed to make friends in the first place. Often described as rather off or just plain weird, Milo is known to be quite the extreme goofball. A class clown if ever there was one, there doesn't seem to be a single serious moment in this boy's life, as no matter what the situation is, he always has a joke to crack. Wild and reckless, one could almost describe Milo as feral, for he holds absolutely no regard for personal space or social cues. He's "hug first, introductions later," and never stops to consider that someone may be uncomfortable with his mannerisms, often even becoming worse the more uncomfortable someone gets as he simply becomes more determined to make them like him. There is no one in this world or another that Milo won't try to befriend, and not even a beating from some irritable jocks could ever deter him in his endeavors.

History Milo grew up under the care of his uncle, though he's never actually told anyone ─ not even his friends ─ why, exactly, that was. All anyone really knows is that his mother died when he was rather young, and his father... well, his father simply "wasn't in the picture" as it was often stated. Really, he sees no reason to tell anyone, let alone his friends, who would surely worry about him, that the dickwad said to be his father was the reason his mother died in the first place. To be fair, it was an accident, but just the fact that the man was never caught, never really settled right with Milo. Top that with the fact that the man made several attempts at re-entering his life before Milo finally had to tell him off himself when not even his uncle's words could keep the sorry sap away, and it's really no surprise that Milo feels no need to include the man in anything.
Life with his uncle was fairly unsupervised, as the man worked odd hours, gone most of the time, and often off on trips for business, and thus Milo was left as a latch-key kid for the latter half of his childhood. As such, Milo never really spent all that much time at home, instead spending the grand majority of his time running all over town and getting into various amounts of trouble, when he wasn't with his friends of course. Strange as Milo was among his peers, he had, at some point in his educational career, managed to make good friends with a ragtag team of boys around his age, and perhaps it was this friend group who kept him out of the worst of trouble he could have gotten into.
Still, with the lack of supervision, Milo was really never much of one to go along with school, and really the only reason he went to school was to be with his friends. When it came to classes and the like, Milo didn't have much care for the lessons of the work, and it wasn't long before he found himself flunking out of his sophomore year of high school and having to repeat the grade. Fearing that he would be left behind as his friends moved on to college without him, Milo began putting a little more effort into his studies, and come his junior year, he was managing pretty well, even keeping his grades somewhat above passing. Aimless, however, Milo found himself dreading his finishing of school as senior year came to a close. He had never put much thought into what he wanted to do with his life, and as a result, he had yet to put in any college applications, not even the local community college.
Knowing their time was coming to an end as they each met a fork in the path they had walked together for so long, Milo was more than eager to join his crew on one last outing, though reluctant, too, to give his goodbyes.



Magical Form: Upon transformation, Milo's hair, lingering dye and all, changes to pure white with a few yellow streaks. His eyes become solid white with little definition between iris and sclera, as his pupils too seem to disappear. His favorite yellow jacket is stripped away, leaving only a yellow shirt with a ragged white bandanna around his neck. A pair of yellow skates replace his treasured old Converse, and he has somewhat of a discotheque look with his wide-legged checkered white pants.

Weapon: Believe it or not, the skates are his weapon, as in combination with his "windy thing" as he often calls his magic, he can skate along at breakneck speeds, no matter the terrain, flying over the ground and performing aerial moves he'd never have thought possible before receiving the footwear. The "blades" of the skates can shift and change, becoming actual cutting blades, which he can then use with various kicks to slash at his enemy.

Abilities: Milo is capable of controlling wind, or rather, air in all its capacity. From creating and controlling airflow into powerful currents to giving himself perfect balance and even being able to filter his own intake of the air around him. He can use the wind like a tangible weapon of its own, slicing and dicing at targets with enough force to rival a category-five hurricane. His blasts can rip and tear away at structures, a power which only becomes more lethal should he choose to carry any foreign objects on the wind, such as leaves, twigs, or sand. If he truly wanted to, not only could Milo create a duststorm where only he himself would be able to breathe through his filtration abilities, be he could directly push the air out of the surrounding area, suffocating any at his mercy. Of course, that's if he wanted to, and the fact of the matter is, that despite his more god-like abilities, Milo prefers to stick to the basics, and mostly uses his powers to glide around, literally walking on air, as well as make himself just that much faster than he naturally is.




Name: Vlinderbelle

Appearance: Vlinderbelle is a large, bright yellow luna moth, roughly the size of a red-tailed hawk, who sparkles and shines in a glimmering light that trails in a cloud of soft dust behind her as she flies

Personality: Vlinderbelle, in contrast to Milo, is calm and content. She holds a steady head in any situation and never acts out on emotion. She is of a very gentle nature, having more patience than she really should need to give, and above all, she is protective, both in the physical sense, but also in the emotional sense as well. She won't stand ─ or rather, flutter? ─ for any sort of pain coming to the ones she cares for.
