Good Evening Fellow Roleplayers!
I have had a new 1x1 plot idea kicking around my head for a few days now and after some retooling on the intro post I think it is ready to invite someone in and make it a true roleplay! A quick snapshot of the genre, setting, and expectations I have for this. If what you see interests you I welcome you to read on and see the plot. After that I have some additional notes. Should you ever have a question feel free to ask either by PM or by posting.
Roleplay Genre: Medieval Fantasy / Drama / Romance
Roleplay Tropes: Enemies to Lovers
The Prompt
Final Notes
Once again if you have any questions please feel free to reach out. I am looking forward and would be open to roleplaying this story with multiple partners if it ends up catching multiple people's interest.

The Prompt
In the heart of the continent lies the vast and powerful Empire, a dominion built on conquest and arcane might. For centuries, it has expanded its borders, absorbing smaller kingdoms into its ever-growing territory. The most recent target of its ambitions was the small but fiercely independent Kingdom, a realm known for its deep connection to ancient magic and its people's indomitable spirit.
Despite being vastly outnumbered and outgunned, the kingdom managed to repel the Empire's invasion through a combination of guerrilla tactics, strategic alliances with neighboring realms, and the use of their unique magic—rooted in the land itself. The war came to a bloody stalemate, with the kingdom holding its ground while still suffering immense losses.
Enraged and embarrassed by the failure, the Emperor, pressured by his war council and advisors, was forced to seek a diplomatic solution to save face and avoid further losses and weakening of the Empire's war machine. To this end, the Emperor dispatches a young noble, a cunning and ambitious warrior with a prestigious lineage and a burning desire to see combat.
The young noble has his own reasons for wanting the war to continue: he harbors a deep-seeded need to reclaim his family's honor who have always served in battle for the empire until now. Unable to go into battle due to an ancient order by the empire there was no heir to the family name and until there is one a noble family was required to work within the diplomatic core of the empires. He now plans to sabotage the negotiations, ensuring that hostilities are renewed and then quickly find a wife.
Representing the kingdom is the royal Princess, a woman as wise as she is compassionate. The war has cost her kingdom dearly—her people are weary, their resources drained, and their lands scarred. She dreams of peace, not only to save her people from further suffering but also because she believes in the possibility of a future where the two growing powers could coexist. Though young, she is a skilled diplomat, well-versed in the art of negotiation, and determined to secure a lasting truce that would allow her kingdom to rebuild.

Final Notes
My hope is I would take on the diplomate from the empire and my roleplay partner would take on the role as a princess. I do not have any hard rules on magic and other aspects of the Empire or the Kingdom. I would honestly enjoy a partner to come in and detail the rules around how the Kingdom was able to survive the Empires invasion, but if that isn't of interest we can certainly come up with something together. I don't want people to think I have specific expectations around the world or story just cause I came up with the prompt. To me that is all it is and the exciting part is finding a partner to bring their perspective and creative ideas into the mix. We be making roleplay word soup!
