| Angus McFegel is a boisterous young man with an abundance of confidence. He’s friendly, but the size of his personality can make him difficult to approach. All things being equal, he’s the kind of guy that roots for the determined underdog. A very supportive kind of guy, readily cheering on those he would stand by with limitless energy. There isn’t a thing that he decides to do that he doesn’t give his all for. |

MAGIC: 
| Aura Magic - Allows the user to wield magic as a “flow”. The “flow” can be used to achieve multiple things, from healing to destruction to enhancement, depending on application and force. Users readily learn to direct the mana within their bodies to achieve this. |

SPELLS:
Ohm - Healing Spell - Angus cycles his magic power through his body actively, letting it fill where it is needed to encourage his body to heal quickly. He can focus this ability on a particular area.
Ast - Defensive Spell - Angus expels magic power from his body in a shockwave. This can be done from a body part or from his whole body.
Adic - Offensive Spell - Instead of simply expelling magic power, it gathers first and then unleashes in a focused beam, granting him range.


ABILITIES & SKILLS:
Resistant - Aura magic lends Angus a resistance to blast spells. Piercing works well, though.
Physique - Angus Raynor is a well-exercised young man, boasting muscle and physical power. He's been doing some boxing, too.
Determination - Once Angus has decided something is worth doing, the only way to stop him is to convince him otherwise. His hard work for the sake of his mother has earned him a great well of Mana, as well.


GOALS & FEARS:

He’s always been a stand-up guy. From facing down bullies to going out of his way to play a cool wingman for a heartbroken classmate, Angus strived to be the kind of man he always thought should be exemplary.

The son of a merchant, his mother had always been an exceptionally kind touch in his life, despite his lack of wits for business. While his father managed his expansive businesses, she was left in charge of raising him and cultivating his magic ability. Though he showed great capability in terms of power, his technique had always remained lacking.

As the years went on, his father grew increasingly weary of this display. Power but no technique. The man blamed his wife’s poor training, and the merchant’s true colors began to show as his patience wore thin. His father always brushed Angus off as too weak to consider when he tried to raise concerns.

That all changed when Angus received his grimoire. Suddenly, with spells that understood him, he could stand up to his father. Angus took his training into his own hands, from then on.

@CitrusArms Welcome! Thanks for your interest! As I'm looking over your character, the only thing that stands out right now is his Magic. While magic in Black Clover is very versatile, with almost any element being used to perform multiple types of spells, the idea of "Aura" magic doesn't really seem concrete to me. If the purpose of it is to imitate general "Chi enhancement" type abilities ala Dragonball's Ki, Nen, etc., I don't think it'll really fit. The concept of Ki/Chi exists in Black Clover as essentially a very high level of "reading body language/combat awareness," so it's not really an elemental energy that could produce beams and such. 

I don't mind unique or unusual elements at all, but it's just that as it's currently presented, Aura seems like a hat that one could theoretically pull just about anything out of. Do you have any other ideas to replace or alter it?

Aah, ya got me. While I wasn't holding any one example in mind, that was kind of the idea.

Hmm.. How about.. fire, or wind? Make it a magic rooted in heat, or air pressure. Heat might work better. I'll have to change his backstory.. mmnn... Mmmm... Eeeh ..

We'll see. I may write something else

@CitrusArms If it helps, regardless of what type of magic someone uses, "reinforcement" magic is a general skill of most Magic Knights. We've seen characters in canon increase their strength, speed, and durability, use "generic" Magic Bullets, and then more advanced techniques (which wouldn't be allowed just yet in the RP) like Mana Skin. So if you wanted his fighting style to feature that, it's still possible to use reinforced techniques alongside traditional elements.

Well, the whole point of him being unable to display good technique in training is that his magic is weird, he needed his grimoire. His generic magic bullets don't have reach, instead forming whafts in the air. His range spell is basically his replacement for that. His magic is super left-handed, you might say.

Edit: that can be a later spell, the beam. Maybe an enhancement spell to replace it...

If I have to change his magic, I'll just write another one

Yes he did :D I was a sneaky bastard and been working on it in pms over the last couple of days

Thanks for having me onboard, I know a couple of the folks here already as I found out about this from them so decided to sneak my way on in and recycle an old character of mine while I was at it. Look forward to it as I enjoy Black Clover a fair bit, though am admittedly quite behind on the series atm
