Typing speed — Roleplayer Guild

You all just need to play videogames in which you need to type fast or you die. I owe my typing skills to MapleStory, I'm sure (sending messages to my guildmates while grinding mobs only gives you a few seconds at a time).

Yeah; I think 75 is as good as it gets for me.

For anyone bitc- complaining about how it's more difficult to type random words rather than things that make sense, I typically use this instead. It pulls from classic literature. It's also fun to read bits of Tom Sawyer and the likes. Once I got a Sherlock Holmes snippet.

Having glanced at the name of the speed test website we're using, I would like to point out to all the lay-dees here that I do indeed have 10 very fast, very skilled fingers.

Indeed. Where else would one learn to type so fast without ever taking keyboarding courses? I certainly never took a keyboarding class.

I made a few mistakes unfortunately, but not many. Btw, this typing test is kind of unrealistic because if you had a job inputting stuff into the computer database, you wouldn't be typing competitively and you'd probably have to keep looking at a piece of paper every so often. Pretty sure the people who beat me and Hank must be asian.

54 wpm (Anne of Green Gables. Why are all classic books full of run-on sentences? Seriously!)
57 wpm (Ah, Daniel Defoe, JotPY. Two sentences. The first is arguably not a run-on sentence. Arguably.)
52 wpm (Okay, I can't complain about this one. A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains by Isabella Bird)
