Actually at this date USSR and SFRY have already split apart and SFRY is starting to shift its diplomacy toward being one of the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.

I 'been lurking this thread, and...

‘I will shake my little finger and there will be no more Tito,’ Stalin remarked. The expulsion effectively banished Yugoslavia from the international association of socialist states, while other socialist states of Eastern Europe subsequently underwent purges of alleged "Titoists". Stalin took the matter personally and arranged several assassination attempts on Tito, none of which succeeded. In a correspondence between the two leaders, Tito openly wrote:

Stop sending people to kill me. We've already captured five of them, one of them with a bomb and another with a rifle (...) If you don't stop sending killers, I'll send one to Moscow, and I won't have to send a second.

Doesn't sound like the words and actions of two good friends :P

To make my visit here a little more legitimate, I will say I may consider joining this. Even though it's not how I usually play NRP's.

Yeah, after the '48 split there was little love between the USSR and SFRY, at least until Stalin died.

Time for an official sheet:

Nation's full name: Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
Population: ~16-16.5 million (based on the 1948 (15.8 mil.) and 1953 (16.9 mil) censuses.
Current leader's name: Josip Broz Tito
Allegiance: Neutral
Military strength: 600,000-800,000 active, unknown reserve (top was over 3 million in '90) but was probably around 1-2 million troops at this time.

lol that quote was actually from after the split. It's one of the most badass things ever though and Tito still remains one of my favourite world leaders ever.

Sure, if you join we desperately need a West Germany player. We needed UK and America, but they've been filled now.

Oh, Giant, the bunkers were not actually built until 1967. I'm just pointing that out, although I suppose it doesn't matter here since it's alternate history anyway.
