General Info
Name: Ashborn
Age: 189
Sex: Hermaphrodite
Occupation: Wanderer
Heritage
Species: Ogwundi
Race: N/A
Genetic Attributes: The Ogwundi are a unique species, in that they are not animals. Rather, the Ogwundi are a species of sentient plantlife. As a result of their small size they are nowhere near as strong as a human, but they have other traits that more than make up for that deficiency. Firstly, they are able to slowly regenerate any non-fatal injuries that they receive. Secondly, they are all covered in thorns (and have claws) and are poisonous for any animal to consume. Thirdly, due to their lack of a skeleton they are far more flexible than any animal. The Ogwundi are generally seen as unintelligent pests, but while they may be pests they are not much dimmer than humans. All of them are hermaphroditic, with their flowers containing male and female reproductive organs. And in fact, the Ogwundi reproduce just as any other flowering plant does; it is not strange to see an Ogwundi with a bee or humming bird with its head buried in the creature's flowers. In addition, due to the fact that they're a plant and not an animal, they're immune to many of the diseases that plague most creatures, though they have their own illnesses to deal with. Another interesting fact is that the appearance of the Ogwundi change over the course of the seasons; their flowers bloom in spring and summer, then in autumn the flowers and leaves begin to die while the Ogwundi itself takes on a yellowish colour, and in winter they turn brown and their leaves completely fall off. And finally the Ogwundi survive off of the bodily fluids of animals (in addition to photosynthesis), having a sharp tongue located in their mouths with which they pierce flesh and suck out the fluids. This had given them reputations as bloodsuckers, despite not only drinking blood.
Physical Genetic Traits: The Ogwundi are small plant people, averaging about 2ft 6in (76.2cm) tall and **lb (**kg), that are covered in thorns and leaves (usually). They're green during spring and summer, turn yellow in fall, and brown in winter. They have long, thin mouths with a sharp tongue, thin (almost unnoticeable) eyes, sharp claws in addition to their thorns,
Magical Capabilities: The Ogwundi are known for the fact that none of them have ever shown any kind of magical potential. It is unknown why, though there are theories such as the species just being to stupid, the fact that they're plants affecting it, or there being Ogwundi mages that simply do not ever show themselves to other races.

Talents
Abilities: Ashborn has grown to be extremely skilled at sneaking around, almost a necessity for Ogwundi considering their status as pests and diet. He has also became as skilled a warrior as an Ogwundi can, taking advantage of his kind's unique traits.
Magical Skills: N/A
Combat Skills: Though not proficient with any weapons, Ogwundi has done its best to become a warrior. Its fighting style generally involves taking advantage of its small size, flexible, thorns, and regenerative ability. It tries to climb on enemies and tear at any exposed areas with its thorns (especially the eyes and mouth). Of course, this is not always effective, and Ashborn much prefers not to fight anything much larger than itself.
Domestic Skills: Since its life has consisted of wandering around without a home and working as a mercenary and assassin, Ashborn really doesn't have any domestic skills.
Interests
Pets: Ashborn has a miniscule humming bird that it likes and keeps around, named Flutterfeather. In fact, Ashborn refuses to drink its bird's blood and would only stoop to that were it starving.
Hobbies: Ashborn loves wandering and seeing new sights
Collections: It doesn't really collect anything, unless you count the memories of the sights its seen.
Personality
Likes: Wandering, seeing new sights, fighting, having friends, eating
Dislikes: Bugs (the kind that bite; not those that are only interested in its flowers), going hungry, lying, getting caught
Dreams: Ashborn's dreams are simple, it doesn't care for fame or fortune, it just wants to have an enjoyable life
Fears: Fire, deep water, dying
Favorite Color: Grey, because it's such a different colour from the trees and forests Ashborn commonly sees. And it was also the first colour it ever saw.
Favorite Food: Ashborn doesn't have a specific creature it prefers to feed on, though it enjoys the taste of sentient creatures like humans, elves, dwarves, etc. more than that of mindless beasts.
Biography
Family: None. Due to the nation of Ogwundi reproduction children do not know either of their parents, since they grow from seeds that are left on the ground.
Social Heritage/Standing: Unknown and irrelevant, Ogwundi don't have a society of their own. Small groups will occasionally band together, but Ashborn has never done so.
Childhood: Ogwundi don't actually have childhoods as other races would understand them. They grow up from seeds, and are immobile for several years before fully developing. And once they develop, they uproot themselves and are fully grown. However, the early years can be difficult as the Ogwundi must learn how to survive either alone or in a group should it be lucky enough for several seeds to have been dropped in the same area. Ashborn was in the latter category, however it never knew any of its 'siblings'. Due to the nature of Ogwundi and their status as pests whenever a settlement finds a group of seedling growing, they pull them up or (if it's large enough) burn it down. This is what happened to Ashborn's siblings; however it alone among all the seedlings managed to survive the burning. In fact, this is why it chose the name it did for itself once it learned language. Ashborn's life has been one that consists mostly of wandering from place to place alone; it doesn't mind the isolation since that's natural for its kind, but it does enjoy having friends. Throughout its life it has had several friends, people that didn't just shun it because of what it was and actually got to know it. In fact, these people are where Ashborn learned to speak.
Occupational History: Aside from its wandering, Ashborn has had several jobs over the course of its life. It has served as a mercenary and assassin, due to its enjoyment of fighting and skill in sneaking around. Since it has no need for gold, it usually did this so it could have a regular source of nourishment in the form of the people it had to fight and kill. After all, if it's killing them as part of a job, feeding on them is legal (unless the job was illegal in the first place).
