Fallen Shadows Security Forces - Topside

"Taking fire from the treeline, need immedi-" At that moment, The 50. cal round caused the poor soldier's brains to implode before he was able to finish his sentence. It was utter chaos. The lieutenant quickly slid under cover as he accessed the situation. It seemed that a group of soldiers had been able to infiltrate around their perimeter and raise hell. But they were a spearhead to a bigger invasion force. They needed to deny the enemy of the territory, It would make landing reinforcements a pain in the ass for the OPFOR. But that sniper had already taken out twelve of his people, so he was a top priority target.

"Lopez, Mendez! Get those guns of yours ready. Clark, ready that rocket launcher. We're going to give that sniper the last surprise of his life. The rest of you, get ready to provide covering fire.

Even though the sniper was a good shot, nothing could really hide the large muzzle flash and sound that accompanied the large caliber rifle. The lieutenant had a general idea of where the sniper was, and he relayed it to Clark. "On my mark. One, two, three, MARK!"

The 34 man strong company all opened fire at once. In the ensuing chaos, Clark fired his rocket launcher in the general direction of the sniper, hopefully incapacitating the bastard.

"Alright, LOPEZ, MENDEZ, LET EM RIP!" The two men, wearing exoskeletons, lifted their 7.62 chainguns. They were built and specialized for infantry use, and they provided suppressing fire on the closest DEVGRU soldiers. A wall of hot lead would make sure that it became difficult to shoot accurately at all, much less pop out without being hit.

"You three, go to the trees on the left side and flank their ass!"

The three soldiers ran towards the treeline, making their way towards the left flank.

Valkyrie 2

"No need for smoke. That will give away your precise area to the enemy. I can figure out who's who." The gunner said as he aimed the cannon at the enemy forces, looking for high-value targets first before taking on infantry. Luckily for him, the sniper was doing just fine with the infantry, so the gunner waited for more pressing targets to appear, and it didn't take long before two exoskeletons appeared. "I've got two skeletons in sight, opening fire." A voice replied "Roger that Valkyrie 2, you are cleared to engaged at your discretion"

The gunner nodded and began firing the 30mm cannon attached to the craft, making a very noticeable pom noise. While the gun could fire at up to 3200 rounds per minute, the gunner knew only 5 were needed per skeleton to ensure their deaths. "Ground forces, be advised, Church's team will be arriving in approximately 2 minutes. Think you could hold on till then?" The pilot asked Gerard and his team.

The gunner had moved on to firing at the remaining targets. After a few kills, he switched to IR and noticed 3 men flanking the defensive perimeter and began firing upon them, knowing they weren't friendlies.

Church's Team
"Does everyone understand the plan here? We're going to drop fast, so be prepared to hit the ground hard, though I'm sure you three can handle it" She said, mentioning the 3 soldiers in the transport with her and Sarah, her second in command, friend, and sister. The soldiers gave a nod and a response. She turned to Sarah "You still shouldn't have come along sis." Sarah laughed audibly "Don't be silly Felecia, I can handle myself, even though I don't have the family's powers." Felecia pouted, but then smiled "You are the best damned swordswoman I know of." she said as she punched her sis playfully.

Both giggling before coming back the reality of the situation. "I still don't want to lose you though, you won't do well in the open, best to get you inside ASAP" Sarah nodded. "And you three know your job, we're going in first to help strengthen the defensive perimeter and hold off till the main forces arrive. Both agency and Ark forces are in this operation, we have no approximation on when their forces will arrive, so hold off until reinforcements arrive, weather they be ours or theirs." Everyone in the transport nodded, and waited in silence while they approached.

The transport was a little thing, but could hold its own due to its armament of a single 20mm cannon and two .50 cal guns. The cannon was mounted underneath the craft, one .50 was mounted under the nose, and the other mounted in the rear of the craft. All having swivel capabilities.

Losses were heavy, yes. They lost their two heavy machineguns and a dozen or so men. The flanking maneuver had utterly failed, the three men had been gunned down before they were able to do anything. The lieutenant had sacrificed a lot of men, and only one of the enemy may have been killed or injured The damned air support OPFOR had was tearing into their men. Holding this position was not worth it anymore. He could already see some transport helis coming towards his situation, they would simply be overrun. "FALL BACK TO DEFENSIVE LINE BRAVO! POP THAT SMOKE, WE DON'T NEED THAT VTOL ON OUR ASSES!" A few soldiers threw some electric smoke grenades down. It not only obscured them from sight, but from IR readings as well. It was thick as hell though, so firing back and actually hitting something would be nil. As the lieutenant and the remains of his platoon retreated, he could see automated mine layers planting the rest of the anti-infantry mines to stall the enemy advance.

They wouldn't get past this choke-point without losing quite a few men. There were several mortar emplacements, well fortified trenches, and a few of the Mechs were entrenched here.

"Alright, let's send these bastards on an express train to hell!" A resounding HOO-RAH ensued, the men pumped up and ready for the invasion force at hand.

Her eyes were cast downwards, almost in shame at Jason's words. Aries didn't want to admit to it, but her fear was real. A glazed over look swam in her eyes, his words' meaning not registering all through her head. "Yeah..." That was alal Aries could muster for a response, weakly nodding as she swallowed back the lump in her throat. "Let's...Let's just hurry up and get out of here already." Her hands, which had been sitting at her sides limply balled up into fists as she tried to gather all the nerve in her. As much as she wished she could say that she had a steely determination, it was more like a weak strand of hope. It would have to suffice for now.

It took everything Alix had to not openly sneer at everything going on around her. "Awww, as sweet as this whole pep talk thing is, I doubt we have much time for it so just tell her to get her shit together." Her nerves were on end as the situation sank in, and her snappy attitude was to blamed by the fact on the inside she was panicking. Everyone was just standing around, like rainbows and sunshine were raining down, instead of fire and bullets. Whether or not they liked it, it was sure time to get a move on, even if it meant someone would be left behind. Alix wasn't in the mood to waste time seeing if anyone is ok. Hearing Adrian's question, she scoffed at the fact he even bothered to ask it. "Its raining fucking sunshine and flowers." Alix scowled in response. "If anyone else agrees, I think its time we picked up our sense and get the hell out of here..." She grumbled, her eyes beginning to scour their surroundings. Her body seemed to flicker, flashing between pure inky black and color. She couldn't maintain her shadow form.

Elizabeth quickly glanced at this Alix girl. And after a few seconds of contemplation, walked up to the girl. "Yes, I do believe it is, thanks for giving us the forecast" she said with a strong hint of sarcasm. A sharp scowl appeared on her face "While we do need to get our senses about us, doesn't mean we should blindly run out and get killed. And I don't know about you, but I'm not keen on dying in this place. That's why we need a plan, something that will get us out of here in one piece, so we can use the time that it takes for others to get their senses to formulate a plan of escape."

She brought up her knee and pushed the girl. "Learn your place as well, we're in a world that hates us, I'm sure there are those who wish to help us, they're probably fighting for us right outside this facility. But that doesn't mean we'll be accepted the moment we leave, and those who aim to help us will become the same targets of hate and disgust as we are." She got in a poised fighting stance in case the girl retaliated "Also, I don't take no orders from some bitch I barely know."

The sniper glanced up before a wave of bullets came at him, causing him to quickly scramble and attempt to move from the tree he was in. It was too late though when a rocket exploded, causing him to pass away and become KIA due to the shockwave. He fell out of the treeline and landed on the ground, lying limp on the floor with no sign of life.

"Man down! He needs a medic!" One of the men cried out and another stood up to run over to the presumably dead sniper. Bullets started flying around this time and it kept everyone from shooting back effectively. Instead, they made a tactical retreat towards the sniper's last known location as the soldier who called out the loss of their sniper stepped out of his cover to try and unload a magazine while crouching low to the ground. The shots were random and had no target in mind and when the operative got up to run to his team a few 7.62 rounds tore through his body, causing him to fall and bleed out.

The remaining two regrouped at the sniper's body and the one who was labeled the team's combat life saver got onto his knees and reached around the back of his utility belt to free his defibrillator pads, quickly charging them up and nudging the second living fighter back in order to avoid any accidental shock. "Clear!" He shouted and pressed the pads onto the man's chest, a volt jump starting the dead man like electricity would a car. The sniper woke up disoriented and in extreme pain, without his rifle and without the concentration to make his best shots. He was confused until the live saver shouted down at him and tugged on his arms. "WAKE UP!"

"Three! What is your status?!" The two quickly regrouped and tried their best to protect the injured sniper along with the LZ, they were probably going to loose this area any minute now. "Shit he's god.. God dammit! We need some air support up here NOW!"

Right when he said that over the communications the VTOL made it's appearance, the hell from the skies that saved the remaining three soldiers along with the entire operations itself. Minutes later the MH little birds quickly descended from their low altitude flying and made their touchdown, six men each helicopter hopping off the benches and breaking off to reform the perimeter. They were better armored and better equipped, but few were just as equipped as the insertion team, most of those few being the FBI rescue agents that were apart of this mission. It was easy to differentiate the teams, the DEVGRU main force wearing camouflage or black uniforms while the FBI units wore their green uniforms that had the acronym of their agencies labeled across the back of their vests. Those agents, though were going to be responsible for something unexpected and something they were trained to do.

Followed behind the littlebirds came the huey helicopter where Gerard and Harris jumped out, both wearing their typical wear with vests being their only form of protection. "Funny, ain't it?" Gerard asked as he walked down the open field behind the lines on their side, his eyes scanning the bullet riddled forest that surrounded them. "You came out here searching for your missing kids only to stumble upon one simple fact, your people might be the ones who need the rescue." A chuckle came out of the CIA agent as his aviator shaded eyes glanced over at the FBI agent, his smile fading to his stern frown after reading the agent's verbal ques.

"We got soo much in our hands when it comes to trying to make this mission succeed. I have full faith in our people along with Church's people." Harris replied, stepping aside so the two DEVGRU operatives who were first to arrive could carry their severely injured sniper to the huey. There was a small group of three forming around one of the patches of vegetation, seems like someone found the third member of the team... "Did you know about her being in..."

"Ark corp? Yes I did. Agent Harris you have to understand I carry many secrets and most of them I can not tell anyone." Gerard replied, looking over at the small group nearby before resting his hand on the sub machinegun that held onto it's strap which he wore. "It comes with the job. Now, I hope you are familiar with that Mp7 you hold... It ain't your agency's typical MP5. Lets go see if our intel is correct and your investigation can come to a closure."

The others seemed to be taking their sweet time. They took so much time, in fact, that Jason returned with that girl in his arms before everyone was outside. The only one who seemed to have any sense of urgency was that damned shadow girl. Dark Matter moved about in a circle impatiently as he waited. Soon, Sam and Elizabeth had exited their cells and moved into the main room. Dark gave Elizabeth his full attention as she marched up, battered and bruised, to stand next to him.”The plan? I’m going to break out anyone else held in here and then I’m making a break for the exit. Anyone who slows me down is on their own.” Dark Matter growled, his brow forming a glare. There was no time to think of anything complicated, though Dark doubted a complex plan would be anything more than a waste of time without any proper knowledge of their prison.

Dark Matter continued to stand waiting for the stragglers, his arms crossed in front of his chest. He paid little mind to the conversation Jason was having with his sister. Dark glanced over at Adrian and nodded to the boy, gesturing for him to join them.”I’d wager someone is trying to get us out.” Dark offered a legitimate answer to the blind one’s question, ignoring Alix’s usual quips. He never understood her constant joking anyway.

When Elizabeth began to bark back at Alix, Dark Matter groaned internally. When Elizabeth shoved Alix, Dark shook and head and strode towards the exit.”It’s like dealing with children...” He mumbled.”You can all kill each other, or you can follow me out. I don’t give a damn either way.” With that, Dark was off down the hallway. He ducked past debris and flames as he moved down the hall. He wasn’t sure on where he was going, but at least he was going somewhere.

Jason watched Dark go. "Honor guard, to me." He said as four skeletons in U.S. Desert Camo outfits came upfrom the ground holding M16's. Jason grinned to himself. Time to show his hand in this game of cards that the owners of the damned place were playing. With extreme prejudice. He started walking out the doors. "If you want to live, I'd suggest following."

As the MH6s unloaded their reinforcements, the men manning the mortars used a laser to pinpoint enemy range and distance, and the mortars set themselves in the correct angle to do some damage. "Preparing mortar barrage. Firing for effect, over." A deadly roar, almost a symphony of metallic thunks, ripped through the air as the mortars simply fired shell after shell thanks to it's auto loading system, allowing five shots rather than one.

Good for them, not so good for the enemy. Split seconds later, multiple explosions caused temporary deafness to the fortified security forces. The lieutenant quickly popped out and used his camera's optical zoom to examine what kind of damage the mortars dealt to the OPFOR.

The smoke was obscuring his few for now, but in a few moment's he'd be able to see everything.

A flash of fury and frustration flittered in Alix's eyes. Hissing through her teeth, she kept her own ground although she got into no stance to bother any retaliation. No point, it would still be a waste and would only fry her nerves more. Especially in the state she was in, but she did admire Elizabeth's own outrightness about it. "Hmph, whatever you say, darling." Alixandria spat, rolling her eyes. For a moment she looked as if she was going to lecture or explain her own thoughts, but their wasnt a point to that. To the rest of them, she knew she looked selfish and stupid. It made her want to giggle about it really. "As much of a bitch as I may be, I'm being honest. We don't have time to gather our nerves. It looks like your little boyfriend over there isn't very willing to wait much longer either, so I suggest you get a move on too." She remarked, nodding off towards Dark Matter with a sly quirk to her lips. Even though her aggravation seeped into the words, their was still a light sense of teasing joke. It made it hard to hear the difference between her being serious or joking, a mid way between the two.

Alix looked to where the two boys headed out. Thinking between following them or taking her own route, she sighed at the realization that Aries still stood still as a stone. "Come on, girl." Alix muttered, gripping Aries' forearm just a bit too tight as she started to follow behind Jason and Dark Matter. Aries winced a bit, before going tense.

Lilith had already walked out of the room by the time Dark and Jason walked out. She glanced at them before turning and walking forward. As she stepped past, flames began dying down until they were put out. A guard ran around a corner and Lilith felt her all her anger and fury boil to the surface. She let out a snarl and flames shot out of her hands, engulfing the man. She watched as he burned alive before stepping over his ashes, anger radiating from her.

As the landing craft slowed down to land, the mortar rounds impacted. Church saw the danger and clicked her comms on "Emergency stop" and immediately the craft pulled sharply back to bleed off their remaining speed. A few seconds after the last round impacted, Church gave the order to resume operations, but, for those in the single craft to dismount rather quickly so the craft would not got caught up in another mortar attack. Once the craft was hovering low enough in the opening, everyone inside jumped out, Church and Sarah landed quietly, but the three soldiers landed with a thud due to their equipment weighing them down. They had landed on their feet nonetheless.

Once the craft had flown away, Church surveyed the surrounding area for any survivors. If there weren't any survivors, then a back-up plan would be called upon to give some time till their reinforcements would arrive. The soldiers already took up a defensive stance around the area where the transport was hovering moments ago. Sarah was on comms, telling the rest of the first assault group to rush over, worst case scenario was that these 5 were the only ones who were on the ground.

((Very Sloppy it is.))

As the helicopters took off, the huey carrying the nearly dead sniper a thunk followed seconds later by a whistle sounded the area. Before they knew it, explosions started happening all around and the entire force scrambled out of the open towards whatever ditch they could find. "Everyone down!" One man shouted which was the last thing heard before the explosions pretty much obliterated any chance to communicate properly during the barrage. The FBI squad seemed more equipped for this situation, wearing headphones that were usually worn to block out gunfire in close quarters. It was a blessing to have those right about now.

Gerard took Harris out of the LZ the bombardment occurred, in the middle of talking about the situation itself, what there is to expect and what the problems might be. When the bombardment initiated the two quickly turned and started back towards the LZ, both the agents and the Ark team being met by a beaten up LZ with a few dead men. One of the surviving soldiers, carrying the captain insignia, quickly assessed the situation and formed up an idea once he realized the losses were significant. It was time to call in some help from the ocean.

"Where's our Forward Observer?!" The captain called out, stepping over a knocked down tree that was caused from the explosion. One soldier gave him his answer; the FO was dead. That meant only one thing... The captain himself had to mark out the coordinates. It wasn't something he wasn't prepared for though and he quickly adapted to the situation, climbing up a tree and taking out a range finder and GPS after finding one of the highest branches that could hold him. After he was in position he could only wait for the smoke to settle, and race against Fallen Shadow's spotters before they could spot him and deal with him.

The barrage was effective. Chaos, dead people...

The lieutenant got on comms and contacted the mech beside him. "Order your team to fire those cannons of yours, keep those bastards disorganized and broken. This keeps up, we'll be sipping coffee over the dead bodies of those SOBs by lunch.

The mechs slowly swiveled around and fired their massive 155mm cannons. It's 75mm cannons fired next, and it's 25 mm cannons strafed the Last Known Position of the enemy.

"Alright, keep that fire up! Mortars, reload and prepare for another barrage! We got em right where we want them, they haven't even reached the minefield yet!" Shells and rounds littered the floor as withering fire support bombarded the OPFOR, with no sign of retaliation in sight.
Konrad watched the skirmish play out from inside his secure bunker. It was going well. The evac would be here in about 30 minutes. Perhaps he had called a hasty retreat too early... but, better safe than sorry he supposed.

The captain kept to his branch as rounds came coming down once again, the rangefinder giving him the distance so he could quickly put the calculations into his GPS. The barrage wasn't as deadly as the first one since they moved, but it did make it nearly impossible to regroup without a healthy line of communication. This DevGRU operative had the answer.

"Crossroads! This is Alpha 1 requesting fire mission on 168 085! Four round sequence, 1 click kill zone, fire for effect!" The captain shouted into his headset, keeping his head down in the branches as the remaining soldiers waited for their request to go through. To the plain eye the LZ looked deserted, the teams were scattered and had no way to reorganize until their barrage made contact.

U.S.S GETTYSBURG, AIRCRAFT BATTLE GROUP ESCORT

The control room was quiet as a rather aged man stood in the middle of the bridge, his eyes looking ahead at the vast ocean before them. Everything was quiet for the cruiser, unusually quiet since they deployed those three helicopters to some unknown location. The quiet was broken when a petty officer barged into the room, running a slip of paper over to the man. "Captain! This is urgent, fire mission requested by ground forces!" The seaman said, panting between each word. They exchanged salutes when the captain took the slip and thanked the man, his eyes shifting ahead once again.

"Gentlemen, you are clear to launch." The captain said, crossing his arms and shifting the cap on his head to a more straight position, the cap labeled U.S NAVY. The coordinates were put in and within minutes the cruiser launched a series of missiles. Only about four of them left their pods but they will be devastating when they reach those coordinates given to them.

"Incoming! HUNKER DOWN!" The soldiers scrambled to cover as the first missiles impacted, utterly wrecking one or two mechs and damaging others. But the soldiers were the unlucky ones...

Three squads had been wiped out, completely, as they were in the open and were unable to reach the trenches. About 1/4 of the mortar crews died in the ensuing bombardment.

"Goddammit! They've got naval support! HOLD YOUR GROUND! Mortars, fire another barrage. ASF suits need to spread out and continue suppressing fire! Our extraction crew will be in the harbor within twenty-four minutes gentlemen. Until then, make sure you make these assholes pay for every inch they take. We cannot do much as right now except wait for reinforcement!

The remaining mechs spread out, leaving it unlikely that they would be directly hit by another naval bombardment. Another mortar strike hit the oncoming OPFOR, albeit weaker than before.

"They're almost in range men! Ready your rifles, we'll show them how real men fight!"

Jason was fed up with waiting. He pushed ahead of the others, following the every increasing sound of violence. The boy wanted blood and he would find it. After several minutes of walking through the facility, with his soldiers walking silently by his side, massive explosions rocked the facility. Jason had no idea what the hell was happening except that he had been slammed against the wall as a hole opened up. Debris and smoke was every where and he felt a trickle of blood down his face. As the boy regained his bearing, he looked out into men with Fallen Shadows uniforms getting ready to gun some people down. The prince of hell grinned as he walked behind the nearest soldier and spun him around. "Remeber me?" He growled and plunged his sword through the man. "Exterminate all Fallen Shadows personnel. No survivors" he ordered the skeletal warriors who immdiatley began fireing into the backs of unsupecting soldiers

Church smirked "Nice of you boys to bring your cruiser" She said, nodding to the agents. Then turned back "Valk, I want you to light up the enemy. My guess is there are also mines in front of their entrenchment. So I'm pretty sure you know the plan" She waited for a response "Yes ma'am, rocket run them till they plead?" "Yup, just run some rockets on the terrain in front of them, will help out the ground forces." No verbal response, only the sound of the engines changing pitch as it tilted forward.

As it gained speed, the gunner clicked over the comms "Ma'ma, I see one of the VIPs fighting the soldiers" Church's eyes widened "Can you identify?" "Already on that" A pause that seemed like it lasted years went by "Jason ma'am, you're orders?" Church began laughing "He can handle a few rockets I'm sure. Just don't light him up please, he still needs to be in one piece ya know, that goes for pretty much every VIP we're rescuing. You know which ones can't, so if you see one run out, immediately cease firing" The gunship kept its course, firing rockets before the entrenchment to clear up any possible mines before reaching its target, and unloaded all the rockets in both pods that were being carried. "Winchester on Rockets" "Roger that, fall back Valk, you still got anti-vehicle missiles that may come into use later"

A few moments later a transmission came through. "On approach to LZ, standby" Sarah looked around, the first smoke grenade had obviously cleared away, and no GPS coordinates had been saved on this location yet. So she snatched a smoke grenade from one of Ark's Soldiers and climbed a nearby tree, probably faster than most people have climbed a tree. And she did it masterfully. Once she was on the top most part of the tree, she popped the smoke and tossed it up, and it was aimed to come back down in the open area that was being used for the LZ. "Smoke sighted, coming in." 2 small transports flew in first, dropping off squads of five to seven soldiers, then flying back in the direction they came. Then came the truly magnificent sight. The larger transport began to land.

As it descended, the air-blast from its engines swept over the whole LZ, blowing, dust, dirt, and and loose debris in all directions away from it. After it touched down and dropped the back ramp, heavy thumping of boots could be heard from inside, and out came a squad in heavy armor. Heavy enough armor that could take 25mm rounds and laugh. "Ah~ They've arrived, nice to know the captain knows how to treat a lady" Church said with a laugh. Once the squad was out, and the transport lifted away, Church spun on her heels "This gentlemen, is Thunder Squad, our best Power Armor unit." towards Gerard and Harris. Obviously DevGru was the best trained in normal gear, but Thunder squad was their equal in power armor.
Elizabeth smirked, and ignored everyone but Jason. Above all else, she wasn't about to let demon boy get all the kill glory. And followed him out quickly, a cloud of sand forming behind her as she ran outside, and joined in the fray. The cloud of sand began slipping into people's lungs anyway it could, as well as just getting into their body in general. Elizabeth smiled with glee as she made the sand rip apart organs. But that joy would be short lived as a helicopter of sorts came in and began firing its rockets. She quickly called all the sand back to her and immediately created a box of sand to protect her from the attack. She could dish out hits, but would take hits as well as a cardboard box. After the attack passed, she emerged from the box and looked around, a lot more dust was now in the air. Perfect, she let her sand fall into a pile, and used all the dust as her weapon, making it whip against the bodies of soldiers, ripping equipment, clothing, and skin off of them, making them all scream out in pain as the dust particles now ripped exposed tissue.
Sam looked around, trying to see if there were any technology readings nearby, there were none. But something in the distance caught her eye, a large collection of readings. It was the very direction Jason and Elizabeth ran off to. Sam began to panic, confused as to why they ran out. Then, admidst her panic, she realized something. She needed to find Angel, she was the only woman could give her the ability to use her full potential to help everyone escape. She got up, and ran to the nearest person, and tugged on them rather aggressively (Anyone can respond to this) "ANGEL! I NEED TO FIND ANGEL!" She yelled, probably deafening the person and those who were still in the room. Her voice sounded pretty urgent, that is, if the aggressively strong pulls didn't give away the urgency of the matter.

The remaining force regrouped at the LZ when everything was somewhat calm, their current commanding officer jumping out of the tree he was in and jogging over to the group that confronted Harris and Gerard. "We gotta push now if we want to get a foothold in this fight." The captain reported, panting softly between each word and turning towards the nine men who survived the ordeal. "Alright.. Five, collect tags from deceased. Two, six, you are now Nomad one. Five and four are with me. Our priority is to get this FBI team in that facility, understood?" He didn't even wait for a response and went back to Harris and Gerard.

The two agents nodded in response to Church's comment, the CIA one seeming very calm despite the situation surrounding them. When the Ark's units were deployed Gerard simply.chuckles, shifting the aviator shades on his face before speaking. "I am fully aware of your arsenal Church. I think we can all be grateful for what we brought to the table, but right now we have to work fast. Remember this is a hit and run mission.not a capture one."

"So.. Are you guys leading or are we? We'd like to get the hostage response team in that building ASAP." Harris chimed in, showing obvious signs of uneasiness since the bombardment. There were still a lot of things that had the potential of killing every single soldier and agent tied to this mission if they weren't careful.

"Right flank has been compromised. Fall back toward the mortar crews, we cannot lose the mortar crews. Create a defensive perimeter around Checkpoint Charlie, this is our last stand." The lieutenant signaled the retreat, and the men left made a mad dash to checkpoint charlie in order to keep the perimeter stable again. But there was no more retreat after this. "Alright men. This is their final push. It seems that some of the experiments have joined the battle, so keep your senses sharp. Drone scans have indicated signs of powered exoskeletons on the field. The mechs will divert all their fire on those soldiers, as they have the armament to penetrate that thick armor. That also means no direct fire support. Show them that taking this complex will not be a cakewalk. ETA for reinforcements is nine minutes gentlemen. Hold out until then. The whole area became thick with the lead that was being directed at all OPFOR elements, as the rifles fired as fast as they could. The tactic was dubbed "metal storm"- In theory, because their rifles had hi-capacity magazines and extremely high rates of fire, theoretically no living being would be able to get through to the defensive line without taking heavy casualties...
Konrad watched as the situation became critical. He had already ordered all remaining subjects to be terminated at this moment. There were none left except for the ones that had escaped.

All data was being purged, and explosives were set in place in order to blow the complex sky high. No evidence would be left for any inspectors of any kind that would trace back to the agency.

"We've already won. This futile attempt is a Pyrrhic victory at best for these dim-witted fools. To think they could simply walk in the front door..."
