Anime Samurai RP

I want to do a Feudal Era Samurai rp, but not historic. More like an anime : demons, powers, sake, the whole nine yards. lol

I am still working on streamlining a plot but what I have so far is two warlords fighting over land. One of the warlords makes a deal with a demon lord for help. Demons begin attacking. Out of desperation, one town sends out a call for samurai to help them defend against the demons.
Any ideas / twists to add would be greatly appreciated.

Throwing my interest in here. DOn't have any ideas for twists yet but I'll add anything if I think of it.

I'm game. You could have it intertwined with Samurai Warriors, with the muso powers and such. I can provide more detailed information if you like. Twists could be is that our character are half breed demon/human hybrids.

I love Samurai tales be they Anime or LA

The new version of "47 Ronin" is a great example of this. It features Kirin, Tengue and something that could have been a Kitsune or a Dragon... All in all, not a bad movie. it features the same plot as the old version. Mainly, the local daimyo is defeated/murdered and the samurai are made ronin and sent into exile.

They then defy the command not to seek vengeance and kick ass anyways before finally committing seppuku. After all, though they fought in the name of justice they still disobeyed a direct order from their Shogun!

I'm interested in this, kinda reminds me of L5R.

How about this idea?

Power-hungry Shogun breaks the ancient barrier that protected Japan for centuries and evil Gaijin-type demons intrude into our dimension!
However, there is still hope! Good Emperor summons the loyal samurai to fight shogunate and save the world!

..hilarious, right?

I don't actually understand what that GIF is supposed to be. And I tried to figure it out.

On a more pertinent note; Would characters be limited to be samurai?

no there would be several different types of characters depending on what you wanted to be
