+
Character Name: Venessa Keir-Tam
Age: 29
Species: Snow Leopard
(Warning, the phrase in her character picture is unavoidable, sorry. If you don't like seeing curse words, then sorry mates :/)
Personality: Outside of combat, Venessa can bet quite the talkative person, and is considerably laid back. But she does have a swagger about her. She will approach pretty much everyone in a casual manner. Usually calling everyone by their first names instead of by rank. She never liked the formal acknowledgments.
But she doesn't act like this in combat, she becomes a completely different person once she's inside her GEAR. A person who's very focused, and aware. She will only communicate if the information is necessary or relevant to the current mission, and never acts out of line. No one knows why this is. Some think its scary that she instantly changes the moment she's in the cockpit.
Personal History: While she certainly looks like she's from the Northern territories, she was born in the borders of Landren, her parents do originate from the North, but had escaped to Landren in search of a safe place to live. Obviously having to rapidly adapt to the new temperatures they'd have to face, and they made do.
Venessa grew up in the hot environment, her body meant to deal with colder environments, but adapted like her parents did. And became used to the temperatures once she was sixteen. And that's when she became interested in the military. She became a GEAR pilot, and went through a few squads before being assigned to the Rough Riders. And though it never seems like she takes her position seriously, she actually is just as serious as anyone else in her position.
Personal Weapons and Equipment:
HC SG419 "Druid" Compact SMG with retractable stock.
TR DW112 Tachyon .44 Magnum
Trench Knife
Back pack filled with food and water supplies for 30 hours, as well as water purification tablets and some medical supplies.
Small communication radio
Custom fit Piloting Suit
Personal Theme:
A-47 "Geometry" - Blizter Variant
(ignore size comparison :P)
Role: Rapid Assault/Blitzer
Normal Loadout:
20 millimeter Sub-Machine gun
30 mm Assault Rifle
Pile-Bunker system (Melee system)
2x 15 mm infantry defense system on head (one under the nose of the head, one under the back of the head.)
CIMS (Close In Missile System) on left shoulder. Similar to a Close In Weapon System (CIWS) but uses a special, small missile to intercept missiles/rockets. (This missile is similar to our RAM missile, but uses a adjustable vectoring rocket booster to help it fire at threats behind the vehicle to allow all time to be devoted to identifying and eliminating the threat)
Other Systems & Equipment:
Sensory Suite
Rapid Response Suite (Used mainly by the CIMS, mounted on the top back of the head.)
Hard-point on both sides of the waist for weapons or equipment. Currently occupied by ECM pods
Calf Mounted Jump Jets
Foot mounted retracting wheels
ERA (Explosive Reactive Armor) bricks placed on chest, shoulders, thigh panels, kneecaps, and shins. They are placed strategically to reduce weight but keep their effectiveness
Enough Storage space for survival equipment
Other notes: Made by Tau Research and Development. It is a radical concept being tested by many militaries, one such military being the LDF. Only a few exist in the LDF's ranks, one of which is being piloted by Venessa. Those outside its development team consider it a weird, and almost suicidal GEAR, while others just find it weird due to its head.
The Geometry is a weird GEAR indeed, while most GEARs have their joints in-cased in some way, the Geometry cut back on weight by only covering the front in armor, while leaving joint functions open when viewed from the back. The piloting 'capsule' is the only thing armored all the way around, as the pilot is not as easily replaced as the GEAR is.
The A-47 Blizter variant has fine-tuned mechanical systems to allow it to fulfill its role. As normal mechanical systems put through the same stressors would cause for a breakdown mid-battle. Its figure is as stream-lined as possible, to allow for as little air-resistance as possible.
