Let's see; are there any special circumstances regarding the Inquisition at this time in your storyline? I'd consider playing a human Inquisitor tagging along with the Wardens.

So, this is apparently a thing, which I was unaware of. Some very interesting tidbits in here.

I'm ready whenever, incidentally.

Still debating on whether or not to turn Isala into a woman, but on the whole, I'm ready whenever everyone else is

So is this open for another person? I'm interested. I've only played Origins and Awakening, loved it to death but I've been putting off playing 2. Anyway I've got a few ideas for characters just want to make sure you guys are still open.

I will accept you if your CS is well done, Lionheart but you and the person going to pm me their CS are the final two that I will accept. As for the inquisition I would say that perhaps it took an Alexander The Great type of road and fell apart after the death of the inquisitor unless you guys are all against that.

I do like that idea, actually. It's useful, tidy, and flavorful. Maybe the Inquisition fell apart into various splinter groups of mercenaries, warlords, and so forth? That gives us a few extra encounters and factions to work with, as well.

I don't wanna encourage Isala to be female and then have Pyro regret making [her] as such, but it does help with our ratios. I'd make Scout female to do that, but I don't think I play female particularly well.

I wouldn't regret it, and it really wouldn't change the way I play him/her all that much. He'd go from big and burly to big and slim. Would win less arm wrestling matches, but overall it wouldn't change much.

As for the Inquisition, I think it would be fun to have it break up at some point and break off into little splinter groups, most of which are simply anti-mage warbands that focus on killing any mages they can find, with only one or maybe two being like the original Inquisition with "chivalry" and "for the good of mankind" in their anti-mage stuff.

The Inquisition fought against Templars and employed mages, so I'm not sure about the anti-mage angle. Some of these hypothetical splinters might well be, but I don't imagine that'd be the norm.

If you're all good with female!Isala, I'd say go for it.

Hrm, I'm actually not well versed in the Inquisition as a whole, for some reason I thought it was the big anti-mage thing. Guess I better start doing my research again.

I'm for:

1. Scout or Isala becoming a female.
2. Splintered Inquisition groups.
3. Extra cheese on my pizza.

Isala CS updated.
Is the pizza only cheese, or are there other things on it as well?

Alright so here's the decision I've come to about the Inquisition I hope it pleases you all and if it doesn't please voice your opinion before the roleplay begins.

The Inquisition did an Alexander the Great type of thing and fell apart when the inquisitor died. It broke into several factions some of which exist now and some of which died out. If we encounter them we may gain an ally, enemy. or neither. Maybe some are prejudice against mages but we already have a Mage hunting faction.

I believe I said that the mages were hunted down by the Templars during an illegal war after the evens of DA II and then the war came to an end and the Circle of Magi is no longer so tight as it used to be. Mages are not kept on such a tight leash though they are generally required to register as members of the circle and the circle and the Templars have been arguign ever since. Since the Blight broke out the Templars have been trying to enslave the mages to use as weapons against the darkspawn but the Wardens are kind of preventing it since they need the mages as well.

I don't want two different large factions fighting for the same thing such as magic genocide in this because it creates less interest and will pretty much just create two duplicate story arcs for us to suffer through.

In addition I edited Isala's profile on the front page however I could not add the picture in seamlessly. But I believe most of us know what a Tal=Vashoth looks like so I don't think it's necessary unless you really want me to put it there.

Ah, well something came up today and I'm afraid I won't have enough time to devote to this as it deserves. As such I'm out, Dred thanks for the thoughtful response I would have liked to play.

How about a former Seeker? Doesn't have to be another "magic genocide" faction; instead it could be more focused on corruption within the Chantry, Templars, etc. Sure, they and the Templars share roles regarding the investigation of mages, but it has a lot of other duties to choose from.

I like the idea of the Templars having an agency that would investigate corruption within Magi and the Templars themselves and it actually would really help with the story I had behind the Templars. It would add an aspect of "Do you do what's right or what is in the world's best interest." Anybody else interested in this?

Okay well I would like to ensure that everything is worked out but I'm worried that if we wait too much longer that we may never even get started.

Alright well I'm going to take the day to figure out where we will go immediately after Ostagar and how to handle the joining because I actually didn't put a lot of thought into that yet but tomorrow we will begin so everybody be ready.

Again I ask that you don't write about your backstories in your introductory post, thanks.
