I am hoping I can get the application for my third character up tonight. Just trying to write the sample post (although I probably will rework it a little in the future).

Create a Hero RPG Application

Character you have created: Aubrey Adkins
Alias: Arachne

Speech Color: I shall cross this bridge when colors come to RPG.

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret, only known (eventually) by her roommates

Character Personality:
If you were to ask Aubrey to describe herself with one word, it would be religious. She grew up in a conservative Catholic household, therefore is a devout Catholic. To those who are not quite as religious as she is, she might come off as a little bit too much sometimes. She is also on good terms with her family. While her religious and family life might be extremely stable, the rest of her life is somewhat unbalanced. She is unsure what she will be doing after college, even though she is a senior now. While she was set to earn a teaching degree, she is unsure whether that is what she desired to pursue. Furthermore, a Psychology degree (as a second major) was not going to give her many choices, either. She has already become burnt out from school (4 years in both high school and college), having major senioritis. Her romantic life is not quite as stable either, for she had already gone through several different boyfriends since her senior year in high school, some ending more or less gracefully than others.

One thing just recently has begun to bother her. Recently, she was injected with the same serum that gave the Raptor (Zac Wilson) and the Wasp (Kelly Brown) their powers. However, unlike those two, Aubrey’s physical appearance has not changed at all (besides the wrist spinnerets). Aubrey is unsure whether she would spontaneously morph into some hideous monster at any moment. What had caused her to react to the serum differently? Was it her minor healing factor? Or is it something else?

Aubrey has slightly above average height for a woman (five foot nine) and has an athletic (but not extremely muscular) build. She has blonde hair and gray-blue eyes.

Uniform/costume:
Costume Pre-transformation (I promise she will not have this costume for long, probably until I finish her origin arc).

Costume Post-transformation

These two images give an idea how the spider lower body human upper body combination looks like. However, they are only inspirations, not exact images for Aubrey. Costume on first is not what Aubrey will wear...

I actually have a drawing that should show what her costume would be post-transformation. I just need to add the hair and costume design and it will be complete.

Origin Info/Details:
Aubrey Rose Adkins was born into what most people would consider a normal life. She was from a middle-class family around the Columbus, OH. She was heavily involved with sports, was Homecoming Queen her senior year in high school, even went to college at St. Henry’s University, a liberal arts Catholic university in Columbus. Everything seemed to be extremely normal, until late January this year arrived.

Aubrey’s life was turned upside down when she was kidnapped by a mad scientist (same man who gave Raptor and Wasp their powers) and subjected to an experiment involving the finally stabilized serum. Luckily for Aubrey, the Raptor and Iron Knight had infiltrated (not coordinated) where the scientist was holding her. Now, since she has escaped from the clutches of the mad scientist, Aubrey must attempt to learn to assimilate herself back into her ‘normal’ life. Or is this even possible?

Sports have always been part of Aubrey’s life, especially during high school. When she was in high school, if she was not currently at one sport’s practice, she was probably running off to another one. While this had given her practice at juggling multiple aspects of life at once, nevertheless it sometimes negatively affected her grades. Once she got to college, she had to pick one sport and stick with it. She picked soccer (one reason why was that she received a scholarship at her small university to play that sport). Therefore, she had to drop the others and focus on soccer (and school).

Hero Type:
Muscle/Acrobat (i.e. Spider-Girl)

Power Level:
B. City Level (Ex. Spider-Man, Cyclops)

Powers:
-Wall-Crawling: Arachne has the ability to create atomic attraction between herself and other objects, allowing her to adhere to numerous surfaces.
-Spider-Sense: Arachne possesses the ability to sense people’s movements through the miniscule vibrations she feels in the ground when people move and changes in air pressure. Along with an uncanny 6th sense that can detect danger (but not pinpoint it – Arachne must rely on the vibrations and air pressure for that), this allows Arachne to be quite an allusive target.
-Hybrid Bio-Mechanical Web-Shooters: Arachne has natural spinnerets in her wrists; however, she cannot eject them from her wrists like Spider-Man does in the original Spider-Man films with Toby McGuire. She can only pull the threads out like pulling out floss. However, Christopher Arthur III created a device that would draw the webs from her wrists and eject them, just like Spider-Man’s web-shooters.
-Superhuman Strength: Arachne can easily lift approximately 20 tons. She can lift more weight if she exerts herself. Arachne must also pull her punches against opponents without similar levels of durability and strength. When she “evolves” into her drider form, she can lift approximately 50 tons.
-Superhuman Speed: Arachne’s natural speed exceeds that of modern Olympic athletes. In other words, she could give Usain Bolt a run for his money.
-Superhuman Stamina: Arachne does not produce as many fatigue toxins while she physically exerts himself. She has to spend several hours under strenuous circumstances to feel impaired by these toxins.
-Superhuman Agility and Reflexes: Arachne is twice as flexible than a normal human, allowing her to perform acrobatic maneuvers that high-level gymnast would envy. Her reflexes are 20 times greater than an average human’s would be.
-Superhuman Durability: Arachne can take punishment that would severely injure or otherwise kill an average person. Arachne must roll with punches against her in order to prevent the assailant from breaking their limbs.
-Superhuman Sense of Equilibrium: Arachne can retain a perfect state of equilibrium, allowing her to remain oriented while crawling upside down and performing acrobatic moves.
-Resistance to Foreign Chemicals: Arachne’s metabolism allows her to be less effected by drugs and diseases.
-Immunity to Vampirism: Arachne has nothing to fear from the characters of Twilight...
-Superhuman Healing Factor: While not anywhere near as efficient as mainstream Wolverine’s healing factor, Arachne can significantly recuperate from injuries more quickly than they would otherwise normally take. She will eventually heal from any wound, however, the more serious the wound, the longer it will take it to heal.

Attributes:

Strength Level: 20 tons (50 tons when she permanently evolves into her drider form).

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 30 MPH.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours.

Agility: 20X Human level (2x Flexible).

Intelligence: Average

Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources: Minimal

Weaknesses:
-Vulnerable to Pesticides, especially ones targeted towards spiders
-Able to “run dry” of web fluid, if she uses too much.
-When she becomes a “drider”, she is vulnerable from attacks from behind because she cannot turn her body all the way around to deal with it.
-She is (over-time) invulnerable in body, but her spirit and mind do not have the same luxury.

Supporting Characters:
-Ashley Winston: One of Aubrey’s roommates. Half-Korean.
-Felecia Blackwood: One of Aubrey’s roommates.
-Kristin Harding: One of Aubrey’s neighbors and friends.
-Father Ryan: A mid-aged Catholic priest who resides in the Catholic Church on campus.
-Athena: Greek Goddess of Wisdom. Still feeling guilty about the transformation of the ancient Arachne into a spider, she has decided to provide her aid to Aubrey, whether or not Aubrey likes it.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: Yes

Sample Post:Warning! Sample Post takes place after my planned story arc between Raptor and Iron Knight. Read at your own risk (although I don’t think there will be that much spoiling material in this sample).

Ladies and gentlemen, iiiiiiiit's another superhero!

==~==

Character you have created: Logan Frey
Alias: Renegade

Speech Color: Dark Red

Character Alignment: Hero (edging closer to Walking the Line, due to Arthur's influence.

Identity: Secret

Character Personality: Cocky, hyperactive, and possessed of a voracious appetite for life, Logan lives to live life to its very fullest. He is somewhat of a prankster as well, getting a thrill out of annoying and exasperating his allies and enemies alike. It's all in fun, however, as Logan also has a very strong sense of honor and loyalty- he prefers to tackle his challenges head-on, rather than bother with strategy, and there's no force on Earth or beyond that can convince him to betray those he loves. All in all, a fun person to be around, if you don't mind the occasional joke at your expense.

Uniform/costume:

Origin Info/Details: Logan has never exactly been what one would call "wanted." Abandoned as an infant, Logan spent most of his young life being shuffled between different foster homes and orphanages, never truly settling anywhere. It might've been hard, if not for his Secret. From a very young age, Logan knew there was something different about him. Like how he could take the power from the TV and move it somewhere else. How he could move like lightning just before he was caught doing something he shouldn't. How he could breathe in the power of the sun, like his teachers told him plants could. Logan spent much of his life secretly training his gift, learning to harness it, control it. For he had a goal in mind- to become a hero for those like him, those whom life had dealt a harsh hand. He would be a beacon, living proof that no matter who they were born as, they could achieve greatness.

Unfortunately, he never got the chance. Just before he turned 18, Logan was kidnapped by a strange group of men- he would later find that they had been capturing others like him, people with powers, like he had. For years, Logan was at the mercy of his captors- men and women who forced him to use his powers, training him. Testing him. Making him into a killer. He didn't know why- but he knew he had to escape, before whatever plan his captors had came to fruition. Thankfully for Logan, a plan had already been made.

Without warning, the facility where he was held was attacked. Not by an army, but by a single man, a man wreathed in blue flames, with rage in his eyes. He wasn't merely a man, but a force of nature, a destroyer, an angry god. The cages where he and the others lived were thrown open wide, the doors that had barred them torn from their hinges. Their captors were all slaughtered, to the very last man. And as they were led out of the dark hole where they were kept by their avenger, as Logan saw the sun for the first time in years, he knew only one thing:

He had never loved anyone as much as he did that man, at that very moment.

Compelled to follow the man who had saved him, he followed, not knowing where the man would go, nor caring. For wherever he went from then on, he would be with his savior, his protector. His angel.

Hero Type: Energy/Elemental/Other (absorption)

Power Level: World (can go up to Cosmic briefly, depending on whom he's absorbed)

Powers:

Power Absorption- Renegade can absorb the powers of different metahumans through prolonged physical contact (anywhere from a few seconds to a full minute). He cannot hold these powers indefinitely (the time varies, but the ability will usually degrade by the time Logan goes to sleep).
Energy Absorption- Renegade can also absorb different forms of energy and redirect them, such as thermal energy, electricity, and even light through concentration.
Elemental Shapeshifting- After absorbing an energy source, Renegade can briefly shapeshift into that element, such as morphing himself into a cloud of smoke and flame, or a bolt of electricity, or a haze of light particles. Doing so expends the gathered energy at a slower rate than merely redirecting it.
Increased Durability- Logan's repeated uses of Abaddon's power set has left its mark on Renegade, making him extremely resistant to damage, though not to the extent that his partner possesses.
Enhanced Reflexes- Logan can perceive the world at a faster speed than most, giving him increased agility and reaction time.

Attributes:

Strength Level: Normal Human, but can vary based on the power set.
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 60 MPH as baseline Renegade. Also varies based on power set.
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2-3 hours. Can be prolonged by absorbing energy sources, but not indefinitely.
Agility: 20X
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Trained
Resources: Extreme

Weaknesses:

Power Absorption- Logan's greatest ability is also his greatest weakness. Logan must be in physical contact (skin-to-skin) with his target to absorb their powers. This requires concentration, making it impractical to use it in the heat of battle, or anywhere that he is vulnerable. And, as previously mentioned, he cannot hold these powers indefinitely.
Bindings/Restraints- Logan depends on his hands in order to use his powers. Bindings or restraints that completely cover his hands render him powerless.
Arrogance- Logan's cocky and carefree attitude can get him into situations way over his head if not kept in check.

Supporting Characters:

Arthur D. Garrow, Jr.- Logan's boyfriend and partner. See Abaddon for more details.[/i]
Dr. Elliot- A technopath in Arthur's employ. Designs weapons for Logan to use as Renegade.
Mr. Butterfly- Arthur's underworld informant. Considers Logan to be his rival. The feeling is not mutual.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: See above and Abaddon's character sheet for more information.

Sample Post:

"HAHAHAHAHA!! Flee, mortals! Flee from the wrath of Kaiser!!"

Logan rolled his eyes as the man in the mecha rampaged through the street, tossing cars, blasting infrastructure, and generally being a massive nuisance. These supervillains apparently had never learned the meaning of the word "subtle." Or "modesty." Or the words "common sense." Claiming to be something more than mortal was a quick way to call a bigger gun down on your head- someone who had a better claim on being more-than-mortal than you. Logan grinned as he realized his golden opportunity to be said "bigger gun." He rolled his shoulders, then leapt off the building he stood on, landing hard, but deftly. He stood, brushing off his uniform.

Guess it pays to have an indestructible boyfriend, he thought, reaching his hand out toward one of the burning cars the metal head had left in his wake. The flames changed direction sharply, pulled toward him. The flames licked around his arm momentarily before vanishing into his arm, his veins suddenly glowing with vibrant light, his eyes burning red. He took the flames from a few other cars, for good measure, before whistling sharply at the mech-wielding man.

The man apparently named Kaiser turned ponderously toward the sound. "Who dares--"

The unfinished question was cut short as a man-sized fireball struck his mecha in the chest, knocking it off its feet and flat onto its back. As he fell, the man within watched in horror as the fireball congealed somehow, converging into the shape of a grinning man, riding the falling suit of armor to the ground. Shocked, the man punched in a few numbers into the console, and a laser cannon on the mech's shoulder directed itself at the fiery superhero. Unfortunately, this response was in turn replied to by the man grabbing the barrel of the cannon as it fired, the energy surging into him, his veins and eyes lighting up in blazing violet, the same color as Kaiser's weapon. He wisely decided to stop firing, but the damage was done. The cocky young super grinned as he drew his fist back, sheathed in violet light.

"Flee, mortal," he said mockingly, bringing the fist down.

Okay boys and girls! Hope everything's in order here!

Create a Hero RPG Application

Character you have created: Elijah Stoker
Alias: Inferno

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Green, bolded as Inferno

Character Alignment: Walking the Line

Identity: Secret, though those in the demonic and angelic communities know it

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations):
Elijah in straightforward, when he goes to do something he does it, beat down a gang of thugs, rip through any obstacles to save people or preserve safety in what he sees as his city. And he doesn't pull his punches too often. He stays calm more often then not, but when he does lose his cool, becomes aggravated, it causes him to act and think more rashly. His (lapsed)catholic upbringing had instilled the base values of right and wrong. He tries to keep to himself as to limit targets for his enemies, he knows there are entities among the infernal ranks who would use people against him for their own ends. Not to say that he doesn't talk to people, but he tries to prevent as many casualties as he can.

Uniform/costume:

Origin Info/Details:
Elijah Stoker was born different, he is not wholey human. He is what is called a cambion, half human and half demon. In fact he is the son of Satan, The Devil, The Accuser and the Prince of Lies. Created through dark magic millenia ago by Lucifer the Fallen Angel of God to walk on Earth because he could not. Trapped in Hell, waist deep in a lake of frozen blood. And so Satan is free of these restraints, while he is part of Lucifer he is another entity and can walk the streets of this world.
Looking to do for Hell, the Damned and Himself what the Christ Figure did for Heaven, the Blessed and Yaweah, Satan set about seeking the right woman to bear his seed, the Anti-Christ. He was not alone, smaller, less powerful demons where, over time, able to leave the confines of hell, spreading the evils of the world that men do now. This was what lead him through the eosn to Lucia Stoker. Sitting alone in a bar, a good, though lapsed, Christian woman. Using but his charm, good looks and less overt methods he seduced her and impregnated her with the Anti-Christ. Nine months later Elijah Stoker was brought into the world a healthy bay boy. She never know who it really was that she had spent that night with, but she continued on into life raising the little boy, who despite his demonic heritage was unremarkable, he was normal for a human boy. He went to school, he had friends. One might say this was either due to the love of God repressing the hell spawn in him or the darkness just waiting to reach the surface at the right time.
Soon though, all of that will change, with the recent upswing in "weird" things, Elijah's dark heritage might just come to claim him. Dark things are brewing, clouds are growing dark on the horizon.

Hero Type (Select one):
Supernatural

Power Level (Select one below):

B. City Level (Ex. Spider-Man, Cyclops)

Powers (Be Specific):
--Pyrokinesis
--Winged flight [Fold up or disapear when not used]
--Night vision
--Resistance to heat/fire
--Super strength
--Limited maleability, able to shift the shape of his armor
--Evolution: Elijah's powers, armor and demonic form evolve and become stronger as he becomes more experienced with them, somewhat like a catepillar turning into a moth.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
Human/Demonic Form
Strength Level: Normal Human/70 tons

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 70 MPH.

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2 hours

Agility: 10X Human level.

Intelligence: Average

Fighting Skill: Untrained[will receive training]

Resources: Average

Weaknesses:
--His family and his friends, to go after them he will exhibit rash behavior in effort to save them.
--Removing his hood in demon form, while impossible for anyone without super strength, will drive Elijah into a beserker state and eventual unconsciousnessbefore reverting to his human form.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):
-Mitchell Darwin: Elijah's best friend and former co worker, he checks in on him just about every day to be sure Eli is still afloat
-Lucia Stoker: Elijah's mother, a saintly woman with no idea who her son's father really is
-The Grim Reaper/Mr Valdis: The Grim Reaper, and Elijah's self appointed mentor, he ha a ew secrets that may or may not come up as things around he and Elijah rise up
-Kelsey Triggs: Elijah's ex girlfriend and an officer in the NYPD, also Mitch's cousin

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: Yes

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue. As this is an Advanced Level game, Sample must also meet the RPG forum's minimum requirement of 12 lines):(From a previous version of the game)
I sneak into Jen's apartment through an open window. She near top floor and has a gun. She doesn't really worry about people coming in through it. She's even pulled the gun on me a few times. Before she got used to the idea of finding me in her living room. Still a good idea to knock though. I do just that as I come through the window, three times. We've managed to work that out these past few months. But only recently.

I make my way through the front room, just looking around. It may be a bit nosy, but it isn't like I'm going through papers in her desk. My eyes just scan everything that she does have out and therefore, to me, is fair game. I hear the sound of her wet feet make contact with the tile floor as she steps out of the shower after shutting off the water, sliding the door shut behind her, I take a few steps from her desk, waiting patiently for her to enter into the room.

It takes her a moment to walk out, doing her hair up in a towel and drying off before dressing herself was something that took time. I wait because I can be patient. I don't give her much warning before I speak.

"Jennifer." I say it calmly, no rush, no inflection beyond a greeting. It spooks her regardless. I was standing out of her line of sight, so its not like I didn't see it coming.

"Jesus!" She hisses out before turning around.

She's dressed in a blue t shirt with NYPD in big, yellow, block lettering , an intersecting NY below that. There's a shield over the left breast. And then she's just wearing a pair of light grey sweat pants, they're baggy and billow around her legs when she walks.

"What does New York's Finest have?" Around her, when we talk, I try to be different than myself. To further separate my personas and make a it harder to think Elijah Stokes and the dangerous nighttime menace called Inferno were the same. "Anything we can use?" I move so that we circle each other. Not antagonistic, but in this space it is the easiest way to move around and keep from being in the other's way or knocking something over.

She gets into the papers and folders I'd just been skimming over before tossing them onto the coffee table for me to read. I reach out with a claw and begin to less skim more read through them, sadly I cant take these with me and worse I don't have a photographic memory, thinking about it now maybe I should find a way to carry a small camera with me. Maybe later. What I get from these new reports is that there's definitely some old black magic stuff going on. Murder, vandalism, some robberies, most these crimes are fitting into patterns reminiscent of rituals and spells from books dating to at least the 15th century. I actually have picked up a few books from Alexsei's shop. Just for reference. I finished with the notes and hand them back to Jennifer. She's probably been talking but realized half way through that I wasn't paying attention and stopped. Looking at me somewhat contemptuously.

"Apologies, officer." A genuine tone in my voice. She could be sharing something important and I'd miss it. Not to mention ignoring someone who you have a symbiotic relationship of some kind with is not a good idea. "Go on."

"As I was saying," Yup, she's annoyed. I seemed to do that easily with her. "This is some pretty heavy stuff," She waves around her own, apparently newer copy of a book I have back at my place. Mine is old and cracked leather, pages that might be older than the actual binding. Her's cant be more than ten years old. "Lots of it looked like chicken scratch you see in movies." True, it was almost scary how accurate Hollywood was with this stuff sometimes. It was no wonder some movies get cursed. "I picked that off the internet and flipped through it." I feel she's leading up to the same thing I'd noticed going through the papers she'd handed me not 5 minutes ago. "Some..old witchcraft stuff." Oddly comfortable around a 6'3'' vigilante who is clearly more than just human. I chalk it up to how regularly we've been seeing each other like this. Most seem a little more uneasy around me.

"I'll look into it. Check my sources." Which were much more vast in this region of expertise than her's likely were. "You should be careful." Don't know how many times I've told her this. Its important when dealing with these things to be careful, dangerous stuff magic. Has gotten a lot of people killed and worse.

"Cop in New York City, I would have never thought to be careful." She's being sarcastic. And so I get her point.

"You really want to be careful with this stuff. It's...sacrificial, ritualistic..dark magic. Like you said this is heavy."

About a half hour later I'm running rooftops to one of the scenes of the robbery. It wasn't obvious to someone who isn't looking for it, but there was black magic in use there. That might be a good lead. This girl might be my first lead up to these murders.

I decided to do a frame narrative for the origin arc, however, I have to decide whether I want to start the frame story during the story arc or after it.
