Alright, I could change it to just an accident then?

Yeah, the attunement idea was based of GW2. But if that's the case can I give her say one or two spells per element? If I do that it leaves room for development and skill progression and things.

The needles aren't very powerful weapons and break easily, so he only can attack weak points and pressure points with them. For armored enemies, he could potentially wrap the thread from the needles around their legs to trip them, but that's about all. I'm don't know what Toriko is, but I guess the basic idea of the weapon came from Naruto, where a minor character in one of the videogames (Kagura from Clash of Ninja Revolution) fights with needles, and one of the seven swordsmen of the mist uses a sword based on a sewing needle (Nuibari).

Appearance: Nobody is entirely sure how she’s as old as she is. At only 4’7, Mei is absolutely tiny.

Personality: Mei is a good person: if there’s something she can do to help someone in trouble, then she will do it. This makes her rather popular amongst the few locals in her hometown that had any use for her talents. Where other people are concerned? Not so much. She can’t help with most things, and she’s not terribly good at resolving disputes due to a tendency to babble when she starts speaking.

Backstory: Mei’s family history is fairly straight-forwards: since the first Western contact, her family have been Christian, and dodged the attempts to suppress this during the Tokugawa Shogunate. Mei, herself, broke from tradition in recent years by joining a monastic order and becoming a nun, though it’s a rather… odd one, due to conflicting cultures, its deep links with the adventurer’s guild in Nekoyama, and remote location. For instance, relationships are only discouraged rather than outright prohibited. Not that it’s been an issue, given that most of its members don’t go out and have ‘punch monsters’ as their daily exercise.

Abilities/Equipment: Mei has combined the best part of Eastern and Western monastic traditions: she’s skilled in both martial arts and magic. Admittedly, the magic is entirely of a healing or fortification nature, but she’s still good at it. This means that the tiny nun is surprisingly capable of caving in a person’s chest if she can get a good hit in.

@Paradox: Honestly, I'm not sure how much use that sort of thing would be. More often than not, the enemies aren't going to be human.

Would you suggest that I change the weapon then? My secondary idea was for him to wield a large ball-and-chain weapon, which would still factor in his gravity bubble magic and be more effective then the needles, but I originally thought this weapon might be too large/heavy for him

Okay I updated it, here are the changes.

Backstory said ...During the fall of Hinata's final year of training, an unknown accident occurred within the monastery, burning it to the ground...


Abilities said Earth projectile: Hinata raises a chunks of earth from the ground and hurls them at her enemies at a great speed. The force typically knocks the target(s) off their feet and causes them damage.

Iron flesh: This ability creates a stony armour around herself or allies, creating a near-impenetrable defence towards physical attacks for a short period of time.

Lightning: Hinata has the ability to summon lightning herself or using Pandora, and it is used to electrify opponents and cause them damage.

Fireball: Hinata summons an orb of flames and uses it to attack enemies.

Stream of flames: Using Pandora as a conductor or her hands, Hinata releases a stream of fire which is slower than throwing a fireball but is better for close-range attacks.

Healing rain: Hinata summons a small rain cloud which heals all allies in a small radius for a short period of time.

Ice shard: Using a nearby water source, Hinata forms sharp objects made from ice to pierce and harm enemies. Similar to earth projectile, it is thrown from a distance but is faster and preferably used against targets with weaker armour.

Age: 17

Appearance:
Rozaline stands at about 5'4" and has a very skinny, almost childish build. She wears a black and pink hoodie with cat-like 'ears', a pair of flip-flops, and has dark red hair. Underneath, all she wears is a simple tanktop and a pair of short-shorts.

Personality: Rozaline is a very mischievous girl with a penchant for causing mischief. Not ever really caring much for school or finding a job, she instead enjoys using her magic to play pranks on strangers, shoplift stores, and simply have a good time with her life. However, despite her delinquent-like attitude, she's actually quite interested in making friends and acquaintances, making smalltalk with strangers she happens to stumble across, or even with the few that catch her doing something bad. When speaking, she often addresses people like they were good friends or knew each other for a long time, not being afraid to make physical contact like pats on the shoulders, playful punches, and etc. When it comes to fighting, however, she'll usually greatly overestimate her own strength, for better or worse, and uses cheap tricks, distractions and poor sportsmanship in order to win. She also somewhat relies on her Familiar as a sort of companion, despite it not having any conscience yet.

Backstory: Rozaline grew up in a single-parent home with only her father, her mother having died at birth. While she didn't have much of a troubled or irregular childhood, even under her circumstances, she still grew to be a rather unruly and rebellious child, never seeming to listen to orders of anyone except for her father, whom she has a great deal of respect for. As she went through school, barely scraping by with poor grades and behavior, she also began to grow interested in her ability to use magic. As she developed her skill, she showed the ability to focus herself on a task and get rather good at it... but unfortunately, she didn't put that same effort towards her classes. As such, she began to do worse and worse in school all the way up until she was nearly 16, where she finally simply left her school to never come back, figuring she could make a better living for herself out on the streets than she would with any education.

It's an exaggeration and he didn't really beat her more like survived against her as she jumped back up without much effort.

Personality: Contrary to his appearance, Senshiro is a very talkative person and lets to strike up a conversation with just about anyone, anywhere. Senshiro is a trickster, often using the skills he has learned in his profession to play pranks on other people, much to their dismay. These pranks include but not limited to, stealing underwear male or female (typically female because he's a perverted bastard) , replacing drinks, showing up unexpectedly and smoke bombs. Along with this is Senshiro is a highly avid reader, usually if he is not playing pranks on their adventurers, he can often be found in the library contorted into a strange shape because as he says "its comfortable". Along with these is that, although Senshiro says he can not drink a sip of alcohol, he is actually a heavy heavy drinker that often still drinking after everyone else is passed out. In battle though, he's quite ruthless and will use whatever is available, even underhand tactics such as hostage taking are tactics that can be expected from him. Senshiro has a focus on developing economy of motion which allows him to maximize the advantage gained from their incredible speed in battle.

Backstory:
- Various reasons lead Senshiro to the abandon his life as an assassin for country X

Equipment:
-Set of Kunai and Shurikens
-One Nagimaki Strapped to his back - WindRunner -
-Smoke Bombs
-Various Poisons, that Senshiro collects and mixes himself

Abilities:
- WindRunner has been infused with two types of crystals. One makes WindRunner have little air resistance allowing a lightening fast draws and attacks, the another one makes it so it keeps an incredibly sharp edge even with prolonged use.
- Senshiro's body has also been infused with two types, ones that makes it so his body extremely light but at the same time, his bones are easily to break and so the second speeds up the electrical signals to his brain, allowing Senshiro heighten perception and reaction time to react to dangers.
- Along with these infusions are the standard shinobi abilities such but not limited to: Substitution technique, stealth, body duplicate, traps, tracking and escaping.
