Sorry, I've been on a trip for the last 2 days with only intermittent internet access. I didn't want to post an intro until I got home, in case I lost access completely and left people waiting for me.

Anyway, I'm home now, and as soon as I have time I'll get a post up ^^ Might not be for an hour or two, though.

Ugh, finally posted. From what I've read, here is what we have so far regarding residencies:

K.C. and Arachne are set residents of the House. Dan, Erin and Marcus (or is it Cassius Stryder?) just dropped in. Plot wise, I was hoping we can do introductions first and informing those who just arrived to the House what exactly the place is. We could also mention the mystery of the doors, explaining how all these creatures suddenly appeared.

I'm planning to make a male character that knows kind of the secrets behind the House and will answer most of the questions as to what powers Sonya has regarding the opening of doors and to regulate the rules that the magical creatures must follow when living in the human realm. In hindsight, I should have solely played this character much sooner and opened the spot of the owner to someone else. It would have made moving the plot a lot easier.

But what's done is done. Anyways, I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for plot? We will go about all the new residents settling in with the idea of having to live in the human realm for a while (whether they wanted to or not) but afterwards, I was wondering if we should go into something deeper. Maybe pertaining as to why these portals exist and maybe the mystery behind the portal. I don't know, I'm sleep deprived so I'm really just running on fumes right about now.

As for plot ideas... maybe something about the history/origins of the house might be cool at some point, yeah. Maybe a hidden room with the study of the first owner or something.

Everything is a little random at the moment, but I kinda like Minder's idea.

It could be that the study room had examinations of the residents, like when they came and how they acted what they looked like described by the last owner.

Whoops, sorry bout not showing my face around the OOC. Finding out about previous owners and residents sounds like it could be springing board for further mysteries/conspiracies/etc.

Everyone, I'm sorry to inform you that I will have to bow out this roleplay. I am finishing up my last semester of college and even though I'm only taking three classes, they are the hardest classes I've had to take (NEUROLOGY!!!). I am also focusing on a novel I've been wanting to write for years so I want to put all my creative focus on that.

However, I know that you guys have responded fervently to this roleplay. That's why I'm not going to completely close it and leave you guys in the dust. Instead, I have two options:

1) I write Sonya out and one of you can create your own character who is the 'true' Landlord of the House.

or

2) One of you can take up playing Sonya, if you'd like.

I will also be playing more of GM role and activate certain situations that your characters will have to deal with. I'm thinking different species, whether threatening or just plain annoying, coming through the doors, or prying humans wanting to tear down the building.

Let me know what you guys think and again, sorry for having to drop this bomb on you all.
