Sorry sorry. I did mean to have a post up a couple days back, but the fact that I didn't get it done then meant that my next window for working on it was like right now (So that's what I'm doing.) It'll be up for addition within an hour or two.

I don't really mind a slower paced RP (as you can tell, I'm not all that great at meeting deadlines) so I don't really have a problem with how slow it's been. I don't plan on bailing or anything, so I'll be around through the slow times.

As far as the bigger mission... I'm not sure I had any grandiose ideas to that effect. I think it's already somewhat in line with what you had in mind, but I'd like to travel around the world and make stuff as we go. I know I'm more comfortable expanding that way than just thinking up ideas for places we've never been and will never go to. You've made a really interesting world here and I'm totally down to see what it has to offer. So, it's not really a mission or a grand scheme, but as for what I'm looking to get out of the RP, that's what I'd like.

EDIT: Aaaand posted a bit. I plan on splitting from the joint posts once we're on board so that y'all can stop waiting on me and we can pick up the pace a bit.

I shot him a PM. Give him another 24 hours before you get too concerned. Till then, if you haven't already, I'd just start writing a post. After a day you may just write for only your character as they return to the boat and what not, perhaps having the two get separated to explain that. I doubt Beo just dropped off without a word, they seemed very invested.

Sorry for not posting. I've been pretty busy with school as of late, and I've been playing DnD with a group of friends. Fun stuff, but it steals my spare time. And, I've just been slowly leeching away from RPGguild. This rp is really the last ties that I have here, so I don't really know what I want to do.

Well, I'd just ask that if you feel the need to completely withdraw feel free to do so. Just don't disappear. Perhaps plan it a bit at least for the IC's sake, so those around you aren't handicapped and you still have a part in that story. Otherwise, I'd prefer you to stay, but you should follow your interests.

I'd like you to stay, but unfortunately I pretty much know what you're going through from past experience (and at that time, I chose not to stay here, so I can't exactly judge.) Like Shon says, just let us know either way.

Unless you've heard from Beo, I would simply take control of the character until you've returned to the ship. We can figure what to do next. As is, though, we're waiting on your half to continue. I understand it's been a while since the last post, so I hope Wind Wind and you can chime in on what you'd like to do from here.

To be totally honest, I'd be happier if we could get somebody else interested to fill the empty spot. Four's a fine number, but I kinda think three is a bit lacking.

Either way, I'll adapt what I've got and post it so we're not totally stuck again, expect it early-ish tomorrow

I hear you Kraux, and it looks like this particular RP isn't going to generate too much more interest. The idea and prevalence of fantasies are probably factors in that.

Regardless, I do still find this world interesting. There's a lot of potential so I do have another idea I'd like to float by you and, potentially, a few others. I do some short fiction the side for fun. Considering I opened this idea to the public forum, I see nothing wrong with getting a small interested group together to write short fictions to do with their characters in this broad world. The stories could be largely self-sufficient with overlapping and interaction whenever we please, but could allow some people to write as little or as much as they like. We could still build this from the thread here without any problem. I imagine this being a bit like the Song of Ice and Fire books, where each story centers around a specific character and their situation. They all exist in the same world and there are some shared events, plus they do actually overlap with time. But it'd free us all up to work at our own pace and with as many or few characters as we like. Let me know what you think.

I kinda like that idea. If it wasn't inherently obvious from the fact that I haven't been meeting the deadlines I keep setting for myself, it's been a bit harder for me to keep up with RPs recently, work has picked up and all that. I think I understand the structure you're going for (having read the SoIaF books,) but how were you thinking of coordinating the whole thing in general?

We collect a few people, as in see if Wind Wild is still with us. After we get the jist of who's around we see what we're all interested in. We have this world already, but there's a lot of room to change what's been written so far as the world goes. I figure we can throw out a few vague ideas we may have and sort of agree on a few broad reaching ones that would effect everyone. For example, three people could be writing in three regions, but if war breaks out between the Sanctum Empire and the Northern Regions, that's something everyone would probably notice. Basically, pop up and say 'Hey, I have this idea' and we all discuss it. Agreed ideas are canon, perhaps kept in the OP. We all talk about where we're going with things, maybe plan crossovers, and basically just enjoy building these shared stories.

First step is to find an interested party though. This sort of thing is definitely plausible with two people, but the more the better. Afterword, we can decide how to go from where the IC is now OR if we'd like to create a new thread designed for this idea.

Well, I'll be in for sure. With my work being the way it is, it's going to become increasingly difficult to keep up with a steadier, more fast-paced RP (or multiple) over the summer, but I could still use the writing exercise. Guess I'll hold on to this post, since it kinda just seems like a fart in the wind at this point. But I'll be looking forward to whatever comes next.
