I can see it now, Dasmira losing it as the inn burns down, even more than the innkeeper himself, while a couple patrons mumble "it's going down... I'm yelling timber" in the background.

Patron: Why do you care so much about an inn?
Dasmira: ...N-no reason...

I don't think the destruction of Night-Raven Inn flies very well, lol. It's like a national landmark almost.

But who's to say you can't bring down the keep after we're finished with it?

Oh, I hadn't yet read the IC to see that Athinar really did burn down the inn.

Hmmm.... I don't like to restrict your freedom, but I don't know that I like the idea of burning down Night-Raven Inn at this moment; there's still some functionality in it that pertains to the storyline (and possibly the sequel).

Could you redo or edit your latest post Athinar? I'll be sure to let you burn something else down in the future. ;)

EDIT: And I was wondering if you guys are getting any sort of bad vibes from Joric... what do you think of him? What do you make of the greatsword on his back? And who do you think he is speaking to? If you didn't notice, he has to touch the hilt of the sword to speak to... whoever it is (no spoilers!).

EDIT2: And what do you think caused the earthquake at the keep?

I'm thinking Mystery Voice has something to do with the earthquake. It at least knew the adventurers would be coming. Maybe it belongs somewhere beneath the keep. I'm suspicious of Joric, but I can't decide whether or not he's inherently good or bad or neutral yet.

Thanks for answering teapotshark (you do have a strange username). I haven't yet decided if I want Joric to go with you or not. I kind of don't want him to go because I don't want every character hanging onto him throughout the RP. I like for the players to make decisions based on what their characters would do, not just blindly follow the host's character throughout the course of the RP.

Can we let him burn it down, because I just finished my post with the Inn being burned down... :l

My character was mostly preoccupied with heading to the baths and I don't think he would of had much of a chance to notice Joric, even if he wasn't preoccupied.

I think a monster caused the earthquake, it would have to be mythical or some such thing to accomplish that though.

Well, while I'm very tempted to think that Joric and that entity he's playing host to may have malevolent intentions, I'm open to the possibility that it's just a red herring and that he's actually not that bad a guy. As for the earthquakes, I'm thinking that it isn't natural in nature; there's somebody or something doing a lot of digging under the keep. For what reason I don't know, but to me that makes the most sense to explain that much unusual and sudden seismic activity. That or the keep was actually built on top of a volcano and we're about to get Pompeii'd.
