Peter is a 'let it blow over,' type of guy. He's a lot smarter than people think and a whole lot more pathetic, as well. He's not ignorant or blind to the fact that people use him, he just accepts it because it's going to happen anyways. When it happened as a kid, he realized really quickly that it wouldn't stop happening because he can't really seem himself as anything other than a tool. Like literally, a person used to further other people's goals and gains and happiness at the expense of his own. Sure, he got a 'promotion' but just because he became A-List famous didn't necessarily mean he had any power. He doesn't and he know he won't because he's not the one supplying people with jobs, he's the one looking for a job and if he wasn't at all useful, then he wouldn't have a job. People know he's talented, people know how good he is at his job, but people also know that he's become a very useful tool to gain an upper hand in the Hollywood business. Oscar Winning Star means money out the ass as long as the people still like him. He's a product to be sold and he knows it. Peter isn't ignorant, blind, delusional, or anything of that nature. He knows he's useful and he knows that's why he's got a job. He doesn't paint himself the victim because he could say no at anytime, but that would mean that he would be out of a job that pays damn well and in turn, that would mean he would be out of a way to support his child.
Speaking of which, Lucelia and her mother had a relationship, but not one that could stand up to the one she developed with her father. I truly believe every mother has at least some love for their child, which is why she's not paying child support and why she still gets to see her. I think, ultimately, she understands that she wouldn't be suited for the job as well as Peter is and even if she thinks he's a push-over, doormat, tool of a father, he knows more about taking care of her in his little pinky than she would have in her entire body. And they never fought, either; she was very passive-aggressive and had ways in which she could manipulate Peter to give her what she wanted. Hell, Peter might not even be Lucelia's actual father, but he accepted that a long time ago and it doesn't matter at all to him. She didn't tell him or get a DNA test because, contrary to how I portrayed her, she's not a total and utter bitch. But, Lucelia isn't exactly affected by the divorce because she gets to stay with her father, who she saw more often and got more attention from and who really took care of her.
As for the wife, she was a director for a movie that she hired Peter for. They didn't get married until a few years afterwards, which was when they became public about it. Being a big director on the Hollywood scene, she had a lot of strings she could pull to completely blacklist Peter from getting an acting gig or any job related to films/movies. She used her own money in a good financial way, investing it correctly, saving it, using it for projects that she knew would work, but she has a deep love for simply wasting things and, on top of that, Peter would continue to give
her money through his acting in
her films. She used his money for nonsensical, material things, and pretty much made sure he made her money. So, in a sense, she was spending his money and stealing his money, in different ways but simultaneously because, despite being an A-List actor, she could essentially pay him next to nothing for playing a role in her movies, thus cutting profits by a monumental amount and giving herself more money when the profits started rolling in.
They did have a public wedding. You're talking about a guy who could sell an act to the most jaded of people. Despite that, though, he didn't have a persona aside from when he was out with his wife, but he usually had Lucelia, so he found a way to actual be happy during that. But, he usually is just blank faced and whatnot. He doesn't show his feelings to the general public, but he doesn't lie about it either. So, he'll be as honest as he can to pretty much anyone in the RP, but he's also brief, so people may not understand what he's getting at.
Only people who've RP'd with me will know if Peter is straight or not. So, I'll leave that up to you to decide.
And trust me, you'll like him. I've already got his first post planned in my mind.
I'm going to milk the cuteness until you all die. I just want to let you know beforehand, so you can be prepared for your deaths.
"Shouldn't we lie down? Put paper bags over our heads or something?"
"If you like."
"Would it help?"
"Not at all."
Also, would it be better if I just gave you a picture and said, "This is his wife!" so that you wouldn't think, "Oh, it's Amanda! D: Noooo!"
There you go; that'll be the ex-wife. :D But, she probably won't play an important role in the RP, or a role at all aside from maybe random comments that pertain to Peter's marriage and divorce. Up to you guys if you wanna talk behind his back or not. He's used to it... :(
Her name's Jaclyn Sansberg, by the way. His hyphenated last name is his parents. Uh, what is it? Oh, once they moved to London, they decided to renew their vows there and all that fun stuff and thought, "Why not hyphenate our surnames?" I just came up with that on the spot so the only reason he has a hyphenated surname isn't because I'm a sadistic mother fucker.
