Here's my character sheet, finally.

Name: Hakurou Touka 白狼 藤花
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Race: Youkai
Appearance: Here.
In her human guise, she has black hair and black eyes, and hides her tail and ears.
Personality: Impetuous and a little headstrong, Touka is an energetic girl. She has strong regard for her house and her relatives, and is very proud to have been born ookami and a member of the Hakurou clan. She believes that the good of her family and their homes in the mountains are paramount, and has little patience for the intricacies of human politics or most humans themselves; she knows almost nothing about these topics and excuses her ignorance with the belief that the topics are beneath her, or that humans are too short-lived for it to really matter who currently sits on something as impermanent as a daimyo’s throne. This view of hers has been questioned multiple times by her elders, who point to the trained exorcists of the Phoenix clan and the wise rule of the Kirin Emperor as reasons to respect, if not love, humanity; she remains unconvinced. At heart she’s a good and honest girl, though, if straightforward at times.
Skills and Abilities:
-Wolf form: Touka can shapeshift between humanoid and wolf form, and is equally at home in both. In her wolf form, she appears pure white to people who can perceive the supernatural, and dark grey to those who cannot. In both forms her eyes are yellow.
-Tracking: Touka has an amazing sense of smell, even in her human form. Even people who take steps to approach noiselessly or conceal their presence can’t sneak up on her, unless they coincidentally (or purposefully) approach from downwind. The perfumes and incenses of courtly life dismay her, but she can bear it unless she’s trapped in a stuffy room with people enjoying incense. She is also very good at hunting, though only in her wolf form.
-Calligraphy: Touka’s one marketable skill in elite society is her proficiency with the brush. Skilled in both writing characters and making ink paintings, she has little mind for writing poetry, but can make it look very good on a piece of parchment. This skill helps with her ability to establish barriers, as well.
-Warding: Having been raised at least partially seriously as a shrine maiden, Touka can perform minor acts of magic relating to shrine protection, including setting up minor wards and barriers. In order to get the most strength out of this ability, she has to channel energy into a character or invocation painted on the warded object.
Possessions and Assets:
Touka’s major combat ability is in her wolf form, but she carries a short, straight blade strapped to her back to defend herself in human form if she has to, and to act as a deterrent. She carries a small portable writing kit with her as well, a brush and sealed inkpot in a lacquered box that she keeps in her belt.
She brought most of her possessions to the Mitsumine manor with her – two formal kimono, one in orange and one in indigo; her everyday outfit, pictured above; a futon and pillow; and a gift of a wolf-fang wakizashi for Ryuunosuke that her mother made her bring. She hasn’t decided whether he’s worthy of it yet.
Bio: Born deep in the mountains of the Mitsumine holding, Touka spent much of her life out in the wilds, running free through the ancient foothills and hunting with the packs of her ancestors. Her parents, more conscientious than most of the humans in the village were about keeping up the local shrine, insisted that she learn some techniques and spells and serve at least a little as a shrine maiden, in order to interact with humans; as time passed, she began to scorn the villagers who didn’t pay the shrine proper respect and who only came to pray when something was wrong. Eventually this turned to scorn for most of humanity, and despite her parents’ best efforts, she has maintained this derision for the politics of humankind stubbornly since then.
When Mitsumine Ryuunosuke, the eldest son of a family once held in high regard by the Hakurou clan, came of age, the clan held a large meeting at the mountaintop shrine of their patriarch to discuss what was to be done about the boy leader. Touka, wondering what was so impressive about a family that had lost its pack leader and was relying on a child to lead, finally annoyed her parents to the extent that they volunteered her to travel to Mitsumine Takeshi’s manor, bearing gifts, to give the family the continued goodwill of the Hakurou clan. At the suggestion of her grandmother, she also bears a signed and sealed letter to Takeshi, asking his pardon and asking that he look after her for a while, to help her see more of the world, grow and mature. The same letter also states that if Ryuunosuke so desires, he has permission to court Touka.

Alright then! Looking very good Savant!

Now we have enough players to begin the game. These days are a little busy for me due to a dissertation but as soon as I'm able to, I shall be posting our IC and get this started!

Yay, Junkojuro can have a youkai friend. I take it the world sees the Hakurou clan as a normal family, but they are secretly wolves?

Also, Good luck with that dissertation Sylph! What's it on if you don't mind me asking?

Indeed, most of the Hakurou clan reside beyond the eyes and towns of men, however a small part of them keep a presence as a normal human clan for when it may be convenient and to take care of some of their Shrines. As for the dissertation, it's about using Web Platforms to manage the administrative and educational processes within a highschool.

As for multiple characters, I don't mind the concept at all! However, as always, reserve judgment upon seeing them.

So I updated Yamato's CS with more info (and a proper bio), but I'd definitely like to hear feedback to fit him into the roleplay. His appearance is going to be drawn out by me, but I might as well put a placeholder image if it's not done by tomorrow.

Yamato reminds me of those legends about the ancient gods of war who became lost in bloodlust during battles and started to kill everything they saw without discrimination.

He is supposed to bring up the emotion of insecurity, which is ironic because he wants to become a samurai (I hope I somehow portrayed that correctly). I personally think his interactions with others would make him start viewing things with a less twisted perspective. Not exactly a good guy if you think about it, though he sorta acts like an idiot outside of battle.

Not as much as Mugen tripping balls, though

There's a Japanese manga that really comes to mind when I think about your character. It's called Vagabond and explores (fictionally) Miyamoto Mushashi's life. It brings in a lot of emotions and insecurity to the background of a man who is considered to be the most popular samurai in Japanese history.

Is it okay if my CS would be the current head of the Boar Clan? It would also be okay if he was an heir or something :)) Just askin' for your opinion.

Thanks!

I should try out that manga some time soon. I stopped reading them a year ago, so I might as well read about the most popular samurai in Japanese history. :D (no, i'm not being sarcastic at all)
Also, some feedback for Yamato is still appreciated. If there's anything I need to fix, I'm pretty confident in fixing even the heaviest of mistakes.

I don't think it's my place to critique another player's signup, but I will say that I have no idea where you're going with Yamato or what role you intend for him to play. You have an idea somewhere in there, but it's almost impossible to pick out among the non-sequiturs and vagaries in the bio and personality sections. Why does he need Zen to stay awake when people are talking to him, especially when he himself volunteered for a service role? Why was there an 'intellectual minority' studying him? What makes him anomalous?

From a story perspective, though, this is more important: What are his goals in life, and what will he be striving for in the roleplay? If his one and only goal is to protect the Mitsumine heir and he's already doing that, he has nothing to aim for, and no reason to be involved with any characters aside from Ryuunosuke. The charm is a possible hook, but none of our characters have reason to know his mother or recognize the charm even if they were to see it, so that would have to be a hook explored by you yourself, or potentially by Sylph as Takeshi. 'Strong, silent type' characters are very hard to play in ways that make them interesting to write for and for other players to interact with.

Just my two cents.

Hmm, I got a different vibe from his character. To me, Yamato seems to be going through a life-long crisis of identity and that his entire life is in itself a journey to discover who exactly he is and what it is that he wants in life. It just so happens that he is very good at fighting, but whether that is something he truly enjoys is a different matter. But I do have to admit that some of the things that are introduced could be fleshed out more, and that just leaving them makes his character seem a bit erratic and odd.

Ty. I needed stuff like this. (I kept updating him when I was half-awake lol)

As for Yamato's story, he's someone- similar to what Heyitsjwon said- who's apparently searching for some things. I have quite obviously not made it clear in the biography because it was more written like some quickly written summary of his existence made by some commoners. And he is, indeed, going through a identity crisis that heavily affects his interactions with others. I will be updating the bio with a heavily modified format, because I haven't clarified several things.

1. His mother's alive, but he himself doesn't know of what the charm actually is or does. He uses it to try finding his mother. (He finds his mother's whereabouts on his own)
2. He isn't exactly "justice-man," but rather, does most things for personal benefit.
3. He's mute, meaning that he really can't talk in any vocal way.
4. His goals are to find his mother, protect the heir, find a way to overcome his deficiencies, and be someone his mother always wanted to be.

For his personality, Yamato is silent, but bizarrely mischievous when nothing special is happening. It does bring up the question as to whether that's his actual personality or not, but the strange actions he does usually winds him up meeting many people. That's ironically how he got to meet over half of his enemies as well.

For his skills... they need a rework. Nuff said. I really didn't know what to put in there, but after reading some of the Character Sheets in here, I think I got the basic gist of it.
Thanks for the feedback. Is there anything else that's bothersome? Like I said earlier, heavy editing is something I've grown accustomed to, so... yeah. o.o

He sounds a lot like the depiction of Sasaki Koijiro in Vagabond. I highly suggest you read it. Koijiro doesn't appear until mid way through though.
