Name: Kitsune Hatamoto
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance:
Personality: Kitsune is the exact opposite of his father, and probably most of his clan. While the Boar clansmen are fierce and stern; especially dedicated to the art of war, Kitsune is more lax, and calm. When faced with trouble, Kitsune tends to prefer talking things over with a cup of tea; instead of drawing blades. Speaking of blades, Kitsune cringes at the sight of blood, and he is uncomfortable around blades. Due to this, Kitsune is often seen with a purple fan which he always keeps to his side. Kitsune can also be seen often smiling, and laughing; preferring a lively atmosphere than a serious one. However, Kitsune is also capable of anger and seriousness, but this is rarely seen. While still respectful of those with higher positions or higher standings, Kitsune tends to speak in a casual manner to those around him.
Skills and Abilities:
-Medicines and Apothecary: Kitsune is skillful when it comes to medicines and treatment. He also has a skill with first-aids, and wound treatment. Aside from this, Kitsune is well known for his knack of crafting medicines from simple ingredients. This skill was taught to him when their clan was forced (again) into the forest after the fall of his kin. Since the forest was filled with lush greenery and plants, Kitsune was taught by another medicine-man the art of crafting cures, however, Kitsune had grown from just a student to a master himself.
-Poisons: When it comes to herbs and medicines, one is bound to discover a darker side to it. Kitsune managed to also hone his abilities in concocting devastating poisons which he rarely uses. The art of poison making was further taught to him by the medicine-man, but discontinued the teachings when the man realized that Kitsune was getting too enthusiastic with brewing liquids of death.
Possessions and Assets::
1. Poison-tipped Katana: A simple katana; only this time, the blade is coated with a particular poison. This katana was NEVER used yet by Kitsune since the boy doesn't know how to fight for his life.
2. An elixir of medicine: A simple medicine which is often used for minor wounds. Kitsune always carries a bottle of this.
3. A Blue Fan: Not much... Just a symbol of his status of being in the Boar Clan, and the heir of it.
4. Authority within the Boar Clan: Being the next heir, Kitsune has some authority over the clan; however, he only holds a few retainers because most don't believe in his capability to lead.
Bio:
Fight. Flee. Fight. Flee. Fight. In the Boar Clan, some fight for honor; some fight for glory... but the only thing that matters in this clan is knowing how to fight. The clan has faced disasters more numerous than anyone can remember. Enemies everywhere; friends nowhere. The clan was composed of not only fierce, but brutal warriors who delight in a battle only when the odds are 1 against 10. Decades went by as the clan was forced to flee again and again, but by some strange circumstances, they always fought back with a vengeance; reclaiming their hometown with much blood flowing on the ground. This cycle of brutality continued until an heir was born in the dark forests. The boy was predicted to be a very talented fighter, but to everyone's chagrin; the boy couldn't even lift a blade when most boys could already swing a weapon.
Scorned and belittled, the boy was left to the care of an ostracized medicine-man who taught him the art of medicines and even poisons. After some years, the predicted vengeance occurred as the clan fought back their foes, and reclaimed their homeland once more. While the warriors were busy celebrating within the blood-stained fortress, a boy was left in the forest.
"When will this violence end?" says the heir. "Fight, and fall... Slay and be slain... There's more to life than this."
However, a vision of a peaceful future was just so far away. The boy shook his head in disappointment as he marched sadly into the crimson colored walls of the Boar Clan. He had no future in fighting, yes, but his father would have none of it. Whilst the years of plenty lasted, the boy was sent to one of the Boar's allies; the Mitsumine Clan. There, the father hoped the boy could be trained to be a man without him seeing that pathetic waste of bones. In three moons, the heir departed with some servants to the Mitsumine, with silent hopes that this new heir of the said clan would be one that raises the banner of peace; not the sword of war.
