Yeah, I'm gonna be extra busy over the next three days myself. I'll be taking a small hiatus from writing until wednesday. I'll be off from wednesday until next sunday, so that's when I'll get my posts up.

Will try to post tomorrow morning before easter lunch. tried to last night but internet decided it was time to piss off while I was in the middle of my post and didn't return until I was ready to sleep.

Characters are far from invincible.

This one time on the old RPG, I was the GM of an apocalypse roleplay. In one of the more action-filled sequences, a newer member joined the RP (Didn't even have thirty posts) and in mid-battle, I picked from an RNG generator a small list of people that would end up hurt. I let people know in the OOC that certain people will be injured. This kid was picked and he threw a fit (Capslock key was broken or something lol) and said that he didn't want his precious charrie hurt and threatened to leave if I didn't edit my post.

My reaction? I killed his character.

... Am I the only one who gets a sick thrill out of hurting my characters?

I completely plan for Bear to play a modified version of Russian Roulette with the Enclave whe you shoot yourself in the arm or leg instead of the head, and will be rolling for who gets shot.

Just saying.

But yea fuck people who want to be invincibru god tier badasses from the get go. Even Eagle Squad, best of best, has gotten injured and nearly died. So yeah. Hui.

I like putting my characters through emotional pain, but not necessarily physical pain.

I like both.

I make my characters go through pain, but so much, that it just NUMBS him. Him, because always male here.

And I prefer not dying normally. I kill off my characters in badass ways.

My favorite was in an RP which was made on D&D lore. I was a champion of Zarus, a Wizard with Rogue. Basically a Rogue2/Wiz18 char, just without the, well, stats. He died after attempting to nuke 50% of all non human races, (fail) and converting his body matter into energy to create an Ascension spell, thereby annihilating a shit ton of Illithids, Mindflayers, Elder Brains, Half Elves, and driving a whole race of salamanders (the normal kind, nothing special) extinct.

Of course, I did this after a year long RP, having gone through several problems in the way. By the time it ended, it gave the GM a whole lot of plot points, and of course, motivation for the rest of the RPers. I thumbed them up, and left the RP, satisfied.

He ended as he started. A terrorist. I remember my opening post. "They call you a terrorist. You agree."

An RP hasn't really started with me if no one get's killed. Sometimes it has to be my own characters, but I like to put other players into situations were the only way they can be saved is through divine intervention (I.e. the GM has to bail them out). I was in another Fallout RP similar to this one, where I played an officer of the Enclave. Since I was the highest rank I was suppose to lead the other characters, order them around and such. Initially I didn't want to but they gave me to the green light, so I used it whenever I had too. Like when me and my partner (We were working as a two-man team at the time) infiltrated Helios One to take it for the Enclave. Somehow some kid (Another PC) followed us but I managed to capture him thanks to ED-E. I told my underling to kill the kid. Than there was a small argument in the IC and the OOC about it, but I stood my ground; I've successfully captured a small boy who I don't want following me who isn't aligned to any interests of mines. He was completely at my mercy and so I did not waste time trying to keep him prisoner or whatever. Just put a bullet into his brain. Well than another PC suddenly shows up, blows up a fire extinguisher, and the kid escapes. Needless to say the RP died shortly after.

Or another time where I was playing as a Securitron. I got into a melee fight with another PC and managed to successfully latch onto him. Thing was, my character was able to hop to different Securitrons like Yes Man, so I had my robot blow up to take the other PC. Like the above example, the RP died shortly after trying to figure out how someone could save the dude without making it look like he was immortal.
