So I have two different ideas that I want to pursue, but I am only going to go with one. So, I'm asking those that find themselves interested to give some critique or w/e, as well as a vote to decide which idea we're going to pursue.
Before I give out the ideas, I want to first explain a few things and rules. I'm starting a new RP because my other RP "The Sinners" is moving at a tremendously slow rate. I asked for a 4-5 day time period between each person's post. I would prefer to go faster myself (2-3 days) but being that this is advance and people have other things to do outside this RP, I give a 4-5 day time period. Several members of my other RP have taken a week plus to write responses, and we're already 4+ weeks in with each person having at best 4, the slower ones only having 2-3 up so far. How does this make me feel? Irritated, I give a very reasonable time period, and people still delay posts. If you can't post every 4-5 days, or approximately 3 times every 2 weeks, don't bother reading any further. I don't have the time or patience to waste, sorry if it seems harsh, just tired of RP's losing steam cause people don't want to give adequate effort into doing it. If you can keep this post schedule up, then continue reading. If you can keep up with this schedule, but occasionally need more time, just let me know before hand and then I'll understand. If it becomes a regular thing, then I'll get angry.
Secondly, I am having at most, a maximum, limit, max quota, (insert other word or phrase for "no more allowed" here) of 4 other RP'ers get involved. I intend to do this based on CS's turned into the OOC once we get past the int check, no first come first served, no calling or reserving spots. Everyone gets a few days after the OOC is up to make a character, after that I close the "application period" and review the CS's. From there I will pick at most 4 CS's. This means that not everyone will be accepted, hell that could mean I only pick 2 CS's if I find the others turned in are lacking. If we get less than 3 accepted, I'll give another few days for people to revise, and then make final decisions.
If you are deterred by the walls of text, here's a tl;dr.
1. If you can't post every 4-5 days, gtfo.
2. At most 4 people are accepted based on CS's and even then it might not be a group of 4 accepted.
If you don't like these basic rules I've established, then you can leave. I understand that it might seem harsh, but I've grown a little annoyed with the recent types of RP'ers I've been getting, so I'm setting up a very, very specific standard for everyone to follow.
Anyways, if you're still reading, then lets get onto the meat of this thread, the ideas.
Idea #1: Final Fantasy Summons
I've always adored the summons of the Final Fantasy Universe. I've found myself playing some of the entries within this series mainly just to see how the sprites or in game models of the summons are designed. I've found that sometimes, the histories of the summons can be even more interesting than some of the characters, lik in FF 10 where the summons are actually the spirits of people sacrificed to fight Sin. Anyways, this idea is actually a "reboot" of an idea I tried previously that flopped. The idea is that the characters we play are actually the human incarnations of the summons from the FF universe. I've yet to develop any real background or story around this concept, but I have worked on some ideas for how this will affect our characters. Of course they won't know they're summons, but after some event that triggers their abilities or knowledge of who they are, they will develop abilities similar to that of the summons they take after. For example, a character playing the incarnation of ifrit would excel at fire magic. At later stages, they would develop the ability to even "morph" into a form or create a weapon of sorts that represents their summon, and then finally actually turn into a full flesh and blood version of their summon. This still needs work as to the plot and setting, but I am in love with this concept and really want to pursue it.
Idea #2: Peace Keepers
So, another idea I have is based on an idea that's been brewing since I even knew what supernatural monsters and beings were. In a modern day, alternate reality, everything is pretty much the same except the fact that supernatural beings (werewolves, vampires, faeries, dragons, etc.) not only exist but are public knowledge, and have been for several decades now. Of course there is a lot of danger in this, especially if these supernatural beings decide to commit crimes. As a response to this, the government created a new government branch designed to handle "Supernatural crimes and terrorists threats." This branch is known as "Peace Keepers" which is made up of a network of intelligence agencies and field agents. The field agents can be anything from Supernatural beings themselves, to mages, too even regular humans with special made weapons or ancient artifacts to combat other supernatural beings. This plot would follow a squad of agents with at least one new blood and then several other agents which we will be playing. I do have a plot for this, but the best way I can describe it is kind of like...Imagine if we had a crew of super powered fighters going up against a secret terrorist organization, almost like the young justice series :)
Anyways, these are my two ideas, so if you're interested in either and/or have questions, post here saying which one you'd prefer to do and whatever questions if you. which ever idea gets 10 votes first, or just more votes after a few days, will be the winner and I'll setup an OOC for that idea.
